Oooh, okay, so fitting in with the original theme of my non-despair AU, I'm thinking about writing a little fic that starts off with Kaito's 30th birthday (according to the Japanese school system, he would be the oldest in the class) and he has a big party with as much of their class as possible there—everyone is kind of scattered around Japan, but several of them (including Kaito, saiouma, and Kiibo) live in Tokyo bc it's best for their jobs. Kokichi has really been wanting to set up Kaito and Kiibo for a while, and at Kaito's bday party he feels even more determined. Shūichi just kinda goes along with it—Kaito is his best friend, and Kiibo is another dear friend, and he wouldn't mind so much seeing them together.

A couple months after that is Kokichi's 30th birthday, and they have a party for that too. He seems to spend more time thinking about how to get Kaito and Kiibo together and confess their feelings than about his own birthday. When the party dies down, Shūichi can finally get his bf to himself and actually spoil him like he deserves and sex happens.

In my non-despair AU, Kiibo is human; he's autistic and was born with congenital amputation (missing both legs above the knee) so he has prosthetics, as well as congenital hearing loss (he has a tiny bit of hearing but it has gotten worse with age) so he has hearing aids; and he works as a prosthetist, making prosthetics for other people. And Kaito is a pilot with astronaut dreams. Shūichi is a PI who works at a firm separate from his uncle (and often helps Hajime, who is an investigative journalist). I haven't fully decided on Kokichi, but I lean towards a management position at a marketing firm.

God I literally can't believe how much I love BSO25, in the most recent chapter I lived so many emotions, the way I felt the excitement, the nerves, how I feel that growing crush and I myself feel butterflies in my stomach, that news shut me up like a bucket of cold water, and I felt that panic with the comparison to that bastard, I empathized A LOT with that anxiety attack, and I felt that comforting feeling when they were on the phone, and I can't express how SO MUCH I LOVE the way you build this universe, and these characters that feel so, so ALIVE, every time I looked at the previous chapters and read something like "I wrote too much!" I was thinking "why the apologies!! I would read a whole bible of them!!" Simply I feel like you have such a passion to bring this whole world and these new characters to life, I love them all and their contrasting yet harmonious personalities! You have a great talent for writing but I would say that it is surely due more to your effort and practice! I really would love for you to continue like this for a long time! And although I'm not in the fandoms of your most important projects of the moment, I will continue waiting for this as long as necessary, I'm sorry if it sounds exaggerated, but even this fic helped me through a hard time!! And I feel better now, I also love the empathy of two people who had shitty families, and kazuichi's feeling of having a found family! They are feelings so real that I can empathize with, And speaking of the fic in general, I love every time they bring sexuality or gender to the table, it feels natural, and despite the differences between countries I can still understand what they feel! I'm sorry if it's a lot to read, but I could write something about each chapter if I could! They are so rich in topics to talk about!!! I don't know how many people read what you write, but no matter how many there are, there should be more! I wish it would last forever, but I'll still have all the Patience in the world for the next chapter, sorry for my anxious comments, but I was looking forward to this having started your fic the other day! towards the end of the last chapter i posted, i went through a friend breakup that made me lose interest in SDR in general, they were the main person i talked about DR with and it just reminded me too much of them. i've been wanting to get back into it, as well as return to writing bso25 (i had things planned for like every ship, and the whole fic was gonna talk about everyone else's experiences and struggles as they all came back together! i also had some side fics planned too, some oneshots for the other ships).

your comment really means a lot to me, it's the type i'll absolutely go back and reread. i'm still extremely proud of bso25 and find myself rereading it here and there. i don't think it's dead forever...
