I mean, from Nik's perspective he has no clue how powerful Ray really is. He'd be on good terms with him for Oracle's sake. I do think general personality wise they might clash since Nik is a super cocky dramatic person. Whereas Ray is quite biting and passive. -journalism for Hero’s specifically is actually a side job. More of a hobby that some people support. Her actual money making job is at a news gazette called ‘The Now’. Been working there for three months now.

hi i just wanted to say- bsh is absolutely incredible and ive found myself deep in hyperfixation for the past week over it (i . may or may not have gone through blogs when i originally found out you had privated the asks from your dev tumblr + combed multiple for crumbs of ray lore hPOSDHIS). but like . it is so so lovely and im glad i finally gave it a shot. ive replayed it over a dozen times the past week and ive kicked my feet like a teenager with a crush whenever i thought of him!! i found this blog a bit less than an hour ago and reading the asks i missed has been THRILLING.

The whole game Ray is searching desperately for that connection in a way that is so inhuman it inherently separates himself from the connection he desperately wants. I also love that section of the game because it does feel like a snippet that is so thematic of Ray's whole character in that way.

RE: the mint latte - Ray just does not get out that much because he is so busy with work and even if he had the time he isn't really sure what he would do or where he would go. So that being said, Ray absolutely wouldn't know what matcha is 💀. He is an old man, not necessarily in age, but absolutely in being out of touch with current fads and events.

Hello, silly question but what does Ray wear during hot summer weather? There’s no way he’s going to withstand summer heat in a sweat when he’s out and about.

Honestly, Ray kinda suffers through summer with long sleeves (opting for shirts with lighter weight fabric, tho). He doesn't go out much in public during the hot of summer because he doesn't like to wear clothing that exposes his scars. Ray doesn't want people to stare at him or ask questions about how many scars he has. Despite his work as Binary Star, he doesn't want any attention in his personal life.

Around his house he would absolutely opt for basic t-shirts and button ups with light weight fabrics and sometimes tank tops as well paired with shorts and some crocs (for outside) or slippers (for inside)

Dunno if this has been asked already but what was Haley's life like growing up? What led them to become a burglar?

I am actually surprised I have never talked about Haley's backstory. Anyways, here it is 💕

Haley, (whose birth name is Harini) was raised as the eldest daughter (nonbinary now) in a Desi (Tamil) family, growing up Haley always had numerous hefty expectations placed on their shoulders without much reward for their efforts. Haley was raised in Chennai, but when accepted into a prestigious university program abroad (where our story takes place), their parents pressured them to enroll. This program was at a top university but extremely expensive. Despite being somewhat pressured into the decision, Haley didn't want their parents to have to worry about money, so they lied and said it was a full ride scholarship.

Haley still needed to pay for the program. So they decided in this new place they would go by a fake name to create a degree of separation between their identity and what people around them knew them as. This name 'Haley' was chosen when their younger sister referred to them as it as a joke about becoming westernized. Using their ability (which they discovered and honed from a young age) Haley would burgal what they needed to make tuition payments, always doing extensive research into the targets and proper fences before taking any action. Eventually, their work was noticed by the general public for it's mystery and flawless execution. Never greedy, always a perfectionist, always picking the best targets that were never sympathetic figures in the public eye, Haley never made a mistake, they were raised not to, so of course they would excel at this too.

They have since graduated from the program where for a few years after they worked at a local coffee shop and then eventually opened up their own. They have since become stable enough to not need to burgal, but then became headhunted by Miles's family to train him into a villain (something Hal couldn't exactly say no to).

One of my favorite things about Haley is their 'reluctant helper' aspect of their personality. For example, if there is a stray cat they say that it has to be owned by someone else so they won't take care of it, but they still feed it, and if it's there tomorrow they will feed it and make it a little shelter, and if it's there for another day they will let it inside... and so on until they are basically fully caring for it. This is kinda how Haley ended up being close to MC. Despite Haley giving off an 'I don't care' vibe, caretaking is in their nature and they can't help but to take responsibility. But they still may feel frustrated or slightly bitter that THEY are the person that had to because others either push it on them or aren't competent enough to trust.

Haley also has one younger brother and a youngest sister.

Ray doesn't have any last name. It was stripped from his identity when he was taken under the government's wing.

If he was forced to write a last name, it would be "Star" mainly for

simplicities sake

and knowing if he was ever forced to write a last name on a document the government would already have tabs on what he is doing, so it would be in kinda a passive-agressive way? if that makes sense.

But no real last name for Ray, he has been stripped of human identity in that way.

To be honest, I get this question a lot, it seems like a lot of people want me to write a NSFW alphabet and honestly, I'd just rather leave that up to people's imaginations. I think there's something to be said about allowing an audience to come to their own conclusions based off of the game itself. I want my players to be able to express themselves and their kink through my characters even if it's not what I personally had in mind for said characters. I would really hate if I said 'Ray doesn't like X,Y,Z' only for people to go to others and say 'um actually the creator says-' especially when sometimes kink exploration can be a step in healing from traumas. I hope everyone understands 💕.

I think the only thing I'd like to specify is that Haley is asexual and only would participate in sexual situations on occasion.
