i dont think i've ever gotten too deep into animorphs besides reading the occasional book in elementary school (out of order, mind you)

but i think the one segment in a book that's stuck w me was when a kid morphed into a spider and had gotten eaten by a bird and the graphic detail of this child being eaten alive and terrified of it, only to eventually morph back to a kid again (and causing the bird to die as a result)

and then like chapters later theyre all playing as a pod of dolphins. gave little me a case of literary whiplash
