Which is the most powerful gemstone?
If someone asks, “which is the most powerful food on this planet?” what shall be your answer?
It depends on your need. Someone may need protein, someone carbohydrate, someone may need some mineral or vitamins. Someone may need physical health and someone may need mental health.
In astrology, gemstones are used to boost the power of planetary energies which are weak or which we want to derive more benefits. We use Best Gemstones if the planet is vakri or retrograde. Gemstones are used to give a fillip or boost the desired energy. For example: if the Jupiter (Bruhaspati) graha is less powerful i.e. vakri or retrograde in your chart then astrologer gives a yellow sapphire or Pukhraj to boost the power of Bruhaspati or Jupiter. If Shani /Saturn is good in your chart but it is vakri or retrograde then a blue sapphire or Neelam is given to you by the astrologer ( you can buy gemstones from our online store www.santoshsharmaa.com).
To know, which Best Shop Gemstones in India. Anyways Gemstone is most powerful for you shall depend on the chart analysis to find out which planet is benefic to you, what dasha or maha dasha you are undergoing etc. for example, if Saturn is bad in your chart then you should not wear Neelam or blue sapphire or if you are undergoing sun (surya) Mahadasha, you should avoid boosting power of Shani. If you are undergoing Shani Mahadasha, never wear a ruby to boost surya. These are counter-productive.
You should use your discretion when to use a gemstone and when not to use. Sometimes, it is better to consider wearing a rudraksha. for example: if Saturn is bad in your chart, do not wear blue sapphire and wear a 17 mukhi rudraksha. If Mercury is bad in your chart then do not wear emerald and wear a 15 mukhi rudraksha.

The Meaning and Significance of Swastik
The Swastikis a geometrical figure and an ancient religious icon. Swastik has been Sanatan Dharma’s symbol of auspiciousness – mangalya since time immemorial. The name swastika comes from Sanskrit (Devanagari: स्वस्तिक, pronounced: swastik) and denotes "conducive to wellbeing or auspicious".
Origin
The Word Swastik Has A Definite Etymological Orgin In Sanaskrit. It is derived from the roots su – meaning “well or auspicious” and as meaning “being”.
Su asti yena tat swastika
Swastik is that symbol through which everything auspicious occurs.
Scholars believe the word’s origin in the Vedas, known as the Swastimantra;
Aum swasti na indro vruddhasharvaha swasti nah pusha vishvavedaha
Swastinastarkshyo arishtanemihi swastino bruhaspatirdadhatu.
O famed Indra, redeem us. O Pusha, the beholder of all knowledge, redeem us. Redeem us O Garudji, of limitless speed and O Bruhaspati, redeem us. This can be represented as a figure in the manner discussed below.
Swastik’s Cosmic Origin
The Swastika represents the living creation in the whole Cosmos. Hindu astronomers divide the ecliptic circle of the Cosmos in 27 divisions known as Nakshatras (asterisms). They are named after a prominent start or asterism in respective part of the Zodiac.
Opposite Chitra nakshatra lies Revati, the last and 27th asterism. Its presiding deity is Pusha.
Midway between Chitra and Revati, lies the 22nd, Shravan nakshatra. Its presiding deity is Vishnu, represented by his vehicle Garud (cited in the mantra above as arishtanemi)
Midway from Revati, towards Chitra lies Pushya, the 8th nakshatra, whose presiding deity is Bruhaspati.
In this manner, a cross forms in four directions in the celestial sky. At the center of this cross is Dhruva (Pole star).
In a line from Dhruva, the starts known as Saptarishi can be observed. Saptarishi Means Seven Rishis (sapta - rishis). In the present yuga of Vaivasvat Manu, the seven rishis are
(1) Gautam
(2) Bhardhvaj
(3) Vishvamitra
(4) Kashyap
(5) Jamadagni
(6) Vasishtha
(7) Atri
A smaller start lies next to Vasishtha, which is Arundhati, his wife. These Saptarishis revolve (perform pradakshina) around Dhruva.
By drawing a line connecting the cross and the Saptarishis, the swastika is formed. In this way, the whole cosmos is incorporated in the swastika. When the swastika is imprinted during a Puja ritual, the underlying sentiment is of veneration to all the living creation in the whole Cosmos, represented by the seven rishis.
Swastik in Rituals
1. Being an auspicious symbol with such inherently profound sentiments, the swastika is therefore used during puja rites and ritual by Hindus. They imprint this using dry or wet kumkum on new articles, appliances, vehicles, entrance of a new business premises or home, etc. The underlying sentiment is that “let the article (being offered pujan) be redemptive (kalyankari) in life, not only for mundane purpose, but also to aid one on the spiritual path, towards moksha. Ultimately, for an aspirant any article, whether a PC or a car, should enable him/her to progress towards moksha. This is in consonance with Sanatan Dharma’s ideal of attaining the four endeavours (purusharthas) of life; dharma, artha, kama ad moksha.
2. The swastika symbolizes mangalya – auspiciousness, peace, harmony and success in all ventures embarked upon in life.
3. Swastik is a symbolic form of Aum-kar.
4. It is a symbol of sacredness which wards off evil elements and heralds good fortune.
5. Swastik is imprinted on doorways of houses and ingrained in the flooring of mandirs as symbolic form of auspiciousness.
6. It depicts; Surya, the “wheel of life” and four directions.
In India, the swastika has eternally embodied the following sentiments;
7. Kalyan (ultimate liberation) – swasti – auspicious, kalyan, ka – doer – one that bestows kalian
8. Man’s quest to attain spiritual knowledge
9. Prayer on behalf of all jivas for moksha
10. Encompasses the whole cosmos.
11. A symbol of Lakshmi – devi of wealth.
12. A symbol of Vishnu. Its four bars represent Vishnu’s four hands and Vishnu is the protector of the four directions (Vishnu Purana
13. Protection from the four directions.
14. Symbol Representing Sanatan Dharma and its sentiment of peace and moksha for all mankind.

Is lord Ganesh the supreme power??
According to Hindu mythology lord Ganesh is considered to be the foremost among all the gods and leader of all ganas (classes of beings). He is the one considered to be responsible for removal of hurdles and barriers. All pujas and auspicious occasions begin with worshiping lord Ganesh. Lord Ganesh is said to be the embodiment of success, education and knowledge and is worshiped under different names by people of different cultures like Buddhism, Jainism and devotees of lord Shiva, lord Vishnu and goddess Shakti. Apart from India, he is also worshiped in countries like Nepal, Tibet, China, Indonesia and Japan.
Lord Ganesh is believed to have head of an elephant, huge belly, large ears, broken tusk and a snake wrapped around his body. He is also said to appear riding a mouse with rope (pasham), laddu, and axe in his three hands while the fourth hand is in ‘Abhaya Mudra’. Appearance of lord Ganesh is said to be of good fortune to the believers and a wonder for others.
Vinayaka, Ganapati, Vignesha¸ Ekadanta, Gananadha, Pillayar are various names of lord Ganesh…He is recognized by features like Elephant head and having mouse as a ride.
Do you know the symbolic meaning of lord ganeshas appearance??
From the earlier times, there have been various debates, discussions and opinions regarding appearance of lord Ganesh. His trunk is said to symbolize ‘OM’ which is the pranavanada. While his elephant head represents Knowledge and wisdom, his human body symbolizes illusion and nature.
Axe in the hand of lord Ganesh signifies the removal of ignorance, rope (pasham) in his hand is said to confine or restrain the hurdles in our lives. While the broken tusk represents sacrifice, mala (garland) represents wisdom and righteousness. Lord Ganeshas huge ears symbolize his great attention towards prayers of devotees and the snake wrapped around his body signifies ‘kundalini Shakti‘ in humans.
Apart from appearance of lord Ganesh, his ride (mouse) too is of great significance according Hindu mythology. It shows equality among all living beings and a tiny mouse carrying mighty lord Ganesh shows that lord Ganesh bestows to his devotees the power of carrying any burden and lead a comfortable life.
Has our culture ever embraced the eminence of lord Ganesh???
Lord Ganesh has a unique structure. We can see the usage of word “Ganesha” in the scripts as old as Rigveda. Ganesha is used as a synonym for Bruhaspati. Bruhaspati who is the teacher of Gods is known for his great intellect and wisdom. Some people assert that bruhaspati evolved to be ganesha. According to grihya sutras, Ganesha is described as occult god i.e. god of demons(kshudradevata) . His structure is the main reason behind this. Ancient scripts like Manusmriti and yajnavalkasmriti didn’t recognize the greatness of lord ganesh.
However, lord ganesh is as wise as bruhaspati. Lord ganesh will always be worshipped as the one who removes hurdles and provides good fortune. According to Brahma vaivarta puranam ‘ga’ in ganapati stands for intellect, while ‘na’ stands for nirvana and pati means master.so ganesha is considered as provider of intellect and nirvana. Thus vedas explain ganesha the son of shiva to be foremost among gods.
Is Ganesha married??? Who are Siddhi and Buddhi???
There are various speculations relating to marriage of lord Ganesha. According to some puranas, lord Ganesha is married to siddhi and buddhi and has two sons namely kshema and labha.
The way in which lord Ganesha circumambulates around his mother parvati instead of the earth in a competition against his brother kumaraswami is admirable. Pleased with the wit and sensitivity of lord ganesha, goddess parvati arranged his marriage with Siddhi and buddhi. Intelligence and accomplishments are like wives for a bachelor. It can be clearly seen from Lord ganesha’s behavior that he is master of those two. It is said that ganesha has two sons kshema and labha from his marriages.
Lord Ganesha’s marriage to siddhi and buddhi and having sons kshema and labha shows us that, one attains safety through accomplishment and achieves profit due to intelligence. Lord ganesha is worshiped with the phrase “bramhacharine namah” ( I bow down to the bachelor) as his wedding ceremony was never carried out.

Quora Quesion - Bheeshma vs Draupadi
Quora Question - Why didn't Bheeshma prevent Draupadi's 'Vastra-Haran'?
Quora Answer - Bheeshma claimed to be was neutered by his ‘vow’ to protect the throne of Hastinapur. No matter which fool sat on it, he vowed to protect it. But this was not a situation that demanded him to chose the throne vs Dharma. The Kuru throne was not in danger by answering a pertinent question on rights of a woman. In fact, by NOT answering the question, he put the throne in danger.
Bhishma’s misplaced sense of loyalty made him make many foolish mistakes in his life. Not standing up for the honour of a woman during vastra haran, was his biggest mistake.
As Vikarna states, having lost himself first, Yudhishthir had no right to stake Draupdi - a free woman. While he was free, Yudhishthir has some rights over his wife. Having become a slave, Yudhishthir lost all rights to his wife who was still a free woman. This is plain and simple. Bheeshma and Yudhishthir were too chauvinistic to accept this. Hence they dithered and called dharma ‘subtle’. Their cowardice cows them so much, they are unable to look Draupadi in the face and answer her.
I would say that even as a free man, Yudhithir could not have gamble away the rights of his free-born wife. She was the common wife of the Pandavas and he could not use her as a stake without consulting her or her other husbands. If the brothers agreed to be led-by-their-noses by their elder brother, that was their business. But Draupadi, wasn’t his to gamble away. As a human, as a wife, as an empress, she had rights and he usurped those rights when he gambled her away without her permission.
All arguments of legality aside, this was a moral and ethical issue as well as a religious one. As a kshatriya, wasn’t it incumbent on Bheeshma to come to the rescue of a damsel in distress? Where was his warrior blood when a woman was piteously crying for help in the midst of an assembly of ‘honourable men’? Where was his high-souled holier-than-thou persona when the eldest daughter-in-law of Kurus was being dragged into the assembly hall of Kurus by her hair? Where was his exalted education from Bruhaspati and Parashuram when a woman was asking for dharma to prevail over adharma?
Even a slave woman should not be treated like this in public. Surely Gangaputra Bheeshma knew this!
It is because of this and other situations when Bhishma only paid lipservice to dharma that Shri Krushna ordered - ORDERED - Arjun to kill the grandsire. Not only that, Shri Krushna himself took up a chariot wheel to kill the oldman who stood between dharma and adharma as a wall!
All those on Quora who doubt this shameful action took place, look into own your conscious and realise how you are making excuses for the perpetrators of this heinous crime. 5000 years on, you are still trying to dilute the crime of Kauravas. Your actions are a sad reflection on a misogynistic society that still refuses to see the pain of women as ‘real’ and assumes its just imagined. Don’t ask yourself this question - ask the women in your life and see what they say about your behaviour towards their pain.
