Reactions to Zayne's Touring In Love Ending

Started rambling into angst and lore territory here when I thought this was supposed to be just a fluffy story where you play tap ass with Zayne asdfasldfkj

Zayne talking about flowers withering and letting them go so you can look forward to them coming back again kinda hits closer to home than really intended tbh

Because the jasmines in my little pot on my window sill has begun to wilt

They only stick around for like a week or two. They bloom and wilt for about as long as cherry blossoms do

And Zayne seems really against preserving them. He wants them to bloom on their own efforts and for people to enjoy them when they're in bloom

I wonder if it's because he sympathizes with them, since Foreseer was trapped in ice as well. Or maybe it's him being against Ever's immortality experiments. He's said something before in Abyssal Chaos about respecting the course of life and accepting death when it comes

"Enjoy life in the present" I guess is what he's saying, right? Kinda randomly heavy in such a fluffy story. Lighten up, Zayne

This game really emphasizes memories. The way that Zayne so easily accepts memories being forgotten when MC has had her memories wiped multiple times before already when she was a kid... With the way his parents were so close to Josephine, Zayne must've overheard them talk about her losing her memories before right? Zayne must know about her and her fragile memories? Especially given the fact that she doesn't have a concrete memory of him when he tried to freeze her popsicle to make her feel better???

Zayne seemed kinda pissed off seeing the flowers trapped in ice too. Maybe it's because he didn't like how his parents and Josephine were talking about MC like she was an experiment??

MHA Hot takes

My hero Vigilantes is EVERYTHING I wanted MHA to be and more, don't get me wrong while I am thankful for mha and its success because without it we would've Never have gotten this Masterpiece, I cant help but just love MHA Vigilantes WAYY more than I do my hero academia itself. Like My hero vigilantes has everything I ever wanted from my hero, simpler story, better power set for the MC, an ACTUAL relationship between the 2 obvious love interests, a scarier main villain, expanded concepts, taking time with building relationships and actual foreshadowing for Events to come, and so much more, like I LOVE my hero vigilantes so much, that tbh, I don't think I would've ever started Reading manga in the 1st place if it wasn't for this series because between this and TBHK, my love for manga is VERY low in comparison to my love for anime, So imagine my reaction when I heard vigilantes was Finally getting an anime, I was absolutely SUPED! Now let's just hope the fandom doesn't ruin this series with its Toxicity and its *ahem* "Ships" and whatnot ^^; My only hope/ worry is that I hope they don't water this down and censor unnecessary things like Pop steps design, showing actual Death, and keeping lines and scenes relatively True to the manga, for example I hope they keep in koichi's original hero name of "Gentle-Man" rather than using the abridged "Nice Guy" because in my opinion, Gentle MAN Just seems WAYYY more funnier and feels like a legit hero name someone like koichi would come up with then Nice guy, you could've at least add something like a Mister So he can be "Mr. Nice guy" lol ^^

I guarantee you that if BONES does this series Justice and actually stays true to the manga, then this could be the thing that actually SAVES the my hero fandom and brings the My hero and vigilantes fans together and maybe just MAYBE FINALLY Put a STOP the Toxicity of this fandom, bruh koichi about to CARRY this franchise on his back once again ^^

I’m in the not so unique position of where I wrote at least 4 of the fics at least 75% of the way done 13-15 years ago, which is a huge chunk of words. I would estimate 12k written over a decade ago. The Top Gun fics were leftover WIPS from last year. Minus 20k words in total? So more like 71k. Which. Still a massive amount for me.

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you’d predicted?

I published 1 fic last year and it took all I had in me. But, privately, I wrote a bunch of OC stuff. I definitely blew myself out the water this year. I don’t think I’ve ever had that much output in a loooong time.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January?

Bruh. Team Fortress 2 after 14 years of moving on. I’m still fervently shipping sniperspy—and I’ve always been a same fraction girlie. Not much has changed with how I think of them but now that I am older and wiser and better at pwp… I know they’re both bottoms. I know it in my heart. I think the me from 14 years ago would be pretty pleased that I can now write decent pwp (or I just don’t care to be self conscious about it anymore).

What’s your own favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?

lol, I love all bite to pieces. It was fun to write! Truly joyous. I answered this question on a tumblr meme so here’s the answer:

I was on an absolute mission with that one. Knew what I wanted, from top to bottom. Wrote it VERY fast. I love how it flows; it’s easy to read, easy to understand the dynamic. (At least, for me.) Sniper bottoms. Spy bottoms. They’re both extremely clear with what they want, and aren’t, like, blushy-shy about it. There’s a lot of characterizations I crammed in as well and, tbh, the jokes still make me chuckle. (Awoo, biscuit, and LET’S TEST THIS PUPPY OUT, being the top three.) That fic was all for me, HAHA!!

Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?

I wouldn’t say it was a risk… but I feel like I really showed my ass with just might come crashing. I think it’s an indulgent fic, which is not inherently bad, but I wasn’t going to post it. It started as a collection of somewhat melodramatic scenes that I didn’t plan to make cohesive, didn’t make a plot other than “they go up to the mountains and don’t even hang out with each other for the majority of it”. I drew a lot of scenery inspiration from my own mountain trips.

Admittedly, I don’t much like reading “I Love You” confessions in fic, especially during sex. I wanted to play around with what I would consider…. a neat confession, of sorts. Mind you, this is only the tip of the iceberg with that fic.

Oh, and something I learned from all that… I truly believed this was written pretty poorly for an audience (that wasn’t me!). I didn’t think it would get compliments, like, at all. LOL. Imagine my surprise by all the nice things people took the time to say, haha. So thank you to everyone who did take the time.

Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?

Nah. Just keep chugging along, I guess. I wanna finish foresight, and I wanna write more not-so-sub-but-yeah-he-likes-it!sniper. u_u

My best story of this year

Ooh, a toss up between ARMSTOPPER and hindsight. Unfortunately, my thoughts on hindsight have kinda been tainted by the follow up I’m trying to push though so I think hindsight is a bit of a pain in the ass atm, but ARMSTOPPER also had that same kind of suffering. ARMSTOPPER made me take the biggest victory lap, while I reread hindsight more often just because I do like it a lot.... both of them have Spy suffering so maybe that's the real entertainment for me.

My most popular story

Critical Provocation has a baffling amount of hits to me. Well. Not baffling. But it sure is funny. Thrifty actually has the most kudos as of now, but not by much, and it was written earlier in the year.

Critical Provocation was something I knocked out in, like, two days. Because I saw a funny tumblr shitpost, and also I was determined to write Sniper as a bottom, but not… like… being shy about it? I’m not super into extremely shy-blushy-mewling sexually inexperienced bottoms, especially with Sniper. idk, I think Sniper would really put on a gameface about it. Then I think it’s a really cute narrative payoff when he does break. That’s just my two cents. Anyway critprov was fun to write. I’m glad people enjoy it. perhaps the people also long for confident bottom!sniper..... :/c

Story of mine most under-appreciated, in my opinion

Oughoguh it’s not anyone’s fault but Off the Starboard Bow is another one that I’m super proud of but it combines two very niche Age of Sail fandoms that are quite…………….. quite old. I think it’s nicely written, fun, and true to voice. I miss writing for Temeraire. Granby is also a fun character to write for. Things are always happening to him, all of the time. He should be able to suck dick in peace. Archie also deserves to get his dick sucked. rip archie kennedy you would have loved to be granby's normcore boyfriend.

Most fun story to write

I’ve said this with all bite already so my second choice would be Happy Hour, which I sorta wrote buzzed on martinis and melatonin during an 18 hour flight to South Korea, where I didn’t sleep for 48 hours (had to take a third flight to Jeju). It was the only thing keeping me sane on that wretched plane. I had a woman digging her feet into my thighs so ironically when I do reread the fic, Spy going apeshit on the other spies was just me channeling the same violence, and I think of that unhinged plane lady often.

Editing that fic was wild, let me tell you. There’s so many post-dinner minific parts because I wrote the concept of them on the plane. I wish I saved a screencap of an early draft. Utterly incomprehensible.

Most Sexy Story

Thrifty? I’m not sure on this one. I wrote a lot of oneshot PWPs and all of them have sexy scenes, but I think thrifty hits that spot of having adequate build up throughout the fic, with all the flirting and whatnot, and like.. the payoff sex scene, which I think it is very cute to write sniperspy being super into each other and not so fussy with the physicality of it all (just the emotional). Spy especially putting himself in a less dominant position but still being in control is fun.

Oh. I just remembered gun maintenance as well. Conceptually, that was pretty hot. (gun puns....) Non-explicit build up is what I enjoy writing a lot.

Story with the single sexiest moment

positive reinforcement. Another fic inspired by a tumblr shitpost but

Sniper leaps from his chair, grabbing Spy by the face, thumb and forefinger circling over Spy’s mouth to shut him up. Spy jumps, surprised into reaching for Sniper’s wrists, but it’s been a while since Sniper touched him, and the burning stare is enough to make him freeze in place. Sniper gives Spy’s face a little shake for emphasis. He leans down, fingers digging into Spy’s skin through the mask. “Then. Figure. It. Out.”

lol. I love sub!sniper with all my heart but in those moments when I write him calling the shots, I do have fun with twisting the dom/sub dynamic around. I mean, what’s cuter than teaching your normally calculating attack dog the command to “go feral” on you? :’)

Most “holy crap, that’s wrong, even for you” story

Nah. All my fics are in the category of “I’m Not Surprised”. hindsight, in fact, was such a ME fic to write. No one should have been surprised about me writing this kind of time travel fic.

Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters

LMAO, I GUESS THE FIRST TF2 FIC I WROTE AFTER 14 YEARS? barter? I wrote it, got a bit dissatisfied with falling into “oh spy of course gets on his knees and sucks sniper's dick” trope and so I was like… I’m gonna turn the dom/sub dynamic around a bit. and wrote it twice?????? i don't claim to be reasonable. but i think i did make it clear that Spy was running the show the entire time.

Hardest story to write

ARMSTOPPER TOOK ME 14 YEARS TO PUBLISH. Prior to this year, I had not open the document since 2015 but the creation date was 2010. That file has survived three computer changes, all my years of uni, 10 years into my career. that's my teen child. i can get it a drivers permit.

On a more serious note, ARMSTOPPER’s unfinished state was due to a lot of high expectations from myself at the time, combined with me just drifting away from TF2 around 2015. I got into other fandoms! I also wasn’t a deft enough writer to fully pull off with what I thought I had to write. ARMSTOPPER was supposed to be long and plotty with a sex scene, confession, and courting. And I didn’t know how I wanted to end it at the time. And so it languished!

Years later, I opened it back up again and thought what I had written was still good. I’m not sure if it’s really noticeable, but there’s a distinct shift in writing in the middle of the fic where I simply continued where the early 20s me left off. I think towards the later half, it’s just a bit snappier and the narrative humor is sliiiightly different but I think I was able to emulate my older style of writing, which is a wild thing to say, haha.

I also had to pull out an unbelievable amount of meme jokes from the fic. There is a “Deal With It” falling sunglasses meme gesture Spy does at the very beginning and in my heart of hearts I knew I could not totally rewrite over it.

But!! Honorable mention goes to rings around — where I forgot to write an entire scene (THE ENDING I PLANNED?!?) and posted the fic, panicked, and had to, at great speed, write that missing scene in. WHICH IS WAY THERE WAS A WEIRD TIME SHIFT EPILOGUE AOUGHGOGH MY GODDDDDDD. I wrote a different ending (with Carole), which I did not initially plan because I completely forgot my original ending (with Ice). Incredible work, by me. What a blunder. Other than that, I very much like rings around. It deals with my favorite time travel themes of guilt, longing, and a character looking into their future and just simply hating it because they end up being happy, LOL.

Easiest story to write

Critical Provocation. I saw the shitpost “griping and complaining on it” and a demon possessed me. I slapped that one down quick since I was looking for any excuse to write bottom!Sniper being on the inexperienced side but totally up for it. Wrote out the banter I wanted (WHICH SOME ENDED CUT, THEY WOULDN’T SHUT UP ENOUGH TO GET THEIR DICKS OUT..), and then the rest fell into place, thank god. It was a very Point A to Point B type of writing experience.

Fun bonus fact: I have mulled over a pillow-princess!Sniper follow up but I genuinely think I’d write it in such a way where it’d be more like restraint kink than being pampered. Idk, imagine they attempted it and found it lacking.

Biggest surprise

But, more seriously just might all come crashing, which I will get more into in the next question. I’m not surprised I wrote it, I’m just surprised I published it since I tend to not post stuff I find embarrassing, lol. That fic was really supposed to be for my own practice and entertainment.

So… what I mean to say is…… JMCC was written …… from the heart and … (grits teeth) very sincerely. Not that my other fics aren't sincere but. Like. This one was….. hrm …this was written with genuine affection and earnestness for the ship. And I truly didn't care to put in any more than what I wanted (hence the gaps). I don't think it's very polished, and the pacing is something I did not focus on. I’m a pretty confident writer, so to put something out there where I’m kinda like “lol, that was meant for me to read myself, not for others” is… eh. Kinda revealing, I guess.

Most unintentionally telling story

Right. Here we go. I’m gonna yap at length about just might come crashing. Because I feel like it’s a bit different from the other tf2 fics I put out there. Like I need to justify myself, lol.

I put a lot of boring themes in that one. Career burnout. Now’s-not-the-right-time romance. His-Happiness-Over-Yours. The importance of time away from something or someone you love (a job, a partner). Being perceived in what you think is the most cringiest way possible (gee..). I love dynamics that play with mutual attraction/awareness of feelings, but both participants actively choose to not go forward for whatever reason. It’s emotional purgatory, and that’s fun to me.

It’s my ideal, self-indulgent version of sniperspy; love as a responsibility you're taking on. Love being a cold little cabin you are caging yourself in, with all these monitors and trackers you aren't using. The one time you do, there's a huge truth being blurted out that you can't beny but you're also not surprised by it. And the only surprise Spy feels is his own deep, unrelenting happiness. He disassociates, compartmentalizes, because he knows he’ll choke on it.

All this, and he still lets Sniper go out for days, freely, despite being lonely, because Spy knows Sniper will come tapping against his window eventually. Sniper is an independent spirit, but he also knows the lengths Spy has gone, and that's also daunting—being invested in someone's happiness that might not be in line with your own. I think, in the end, they are two fundamentally different people that just happened to cross paths due to circumstance. If early on they had met other people more compatible.. I mean. I don't think they're each others' first choices. They both know it.

This isn't even addressing the mercenary careers they both have, and there's a high chance either one of them will find the other dead in a ditch eventually (in THEIR minds, at present). To them, being in love is a burden you take on so you make damn well sure it's worth it.

Then, I suppose after all the mutual pining’s been addressed, they’d deal with it in their typical mercenary way, by being absolutely ruthless with it. For them, being in love is a job, one you can also burnout of. These are two people who take joy, pride, and satisfaction from their careers. They are going to care a whole lot. So, you know, other than that being a completely deranged way of thinking, that’s just their take.

(I touch on this in hindsight, the time travel fic when Spy is having a moment and thinks about the work and effort of a relationship.)

Don’t get me wrong, JMCC is a hopeful romantic fic—but there’s a tragic undercurrent to it, lol. I don’t resolve the career burnout. I don’t have them confess directly. They don’t talk about it. I don’t go into the UFOs. I don’t even write an explicit sex scene. They don’t even see each other for the majority of their two weeks in the mountains. At the end, Spy comments on Sniper being intentionally hurtful. Is it mutual? Yes, it is.

Fourteen years ago I wrote all that matters, which I belatedly realize was kinda the prototype for this, the first iteration of that underlying sadness and the work that goes into maintaining a relationship. There's a bookmark comment on it by nik_knak, "Maybe it's just me, but I myself find it rather depressing, even in the end." Haha, they've nailed it even before I did. Funnily enough, it’s also from Spy’s POV; love as extra work you’re willing to take, and you’re just lucky to have that other person return it, and that you might be happy doing it.

So, yeah. That was a telling fic. The most unintentional part of it was me revealing that Spy is my little meow meow. My sweetie pie. My silly pookie. My dipshit clown dolly I like to continuously waterboard in an iced tub just to see him suffer while I put Sniper into the woodchipper but give him a nice mug of hot chocolate afterwards.

This will get me blacklisted but I think about a BLU Spy/BLU Scout with RED Spy/RED Sniper comedy hour fake dating situation a lot. Wherein BLU Scout attempts psychological warfare with his sperm donor, R!Spy, by pretending to date B!Spy, who goes along with it because it would be so fucking funny. R!Spy sees through their plan and doubles down, ALSO pretends that he’s SO HAPPY his SON has FOUND a GOOD GUY to DATE and he hOPeS THEy aRE soOoOoO hapPY tOGeTHer.

In the meanwhile, R!Sniper proceeds to reconsider his life choices. Relationships go down the pisser. RED and BLU teams implode. All because B!Scout and B!Spy are fucking and committed to the bit.

And that’ll be the fic.

I just want to rant about TDP final because I feel frustrated after watching it...

First of all, I think the romance subplot is really killing the vibe of the show. One of the main theme of TDP is about FOUND FAMILY, but somehow the writers completely throw it away in favor of fanservice. The show main trio-Callum,Ezran, Rayla are being separated and I'm not feeling any dynamics from them like the first 3 seasons. They also treats Ezran like an obstacle in Rayllum love story and villianize him for acting like that? Also Callum, I know the show ruins him long ago but I can't believe they manage to make it worse. Why every Callum's problems and characters being tied to Rayla now? His home where he grown up in is being destroyed and he left his only family for his girlfriend?? Calling your younger brother a jerk for wanting justice for his father-who also HIS father too? "I wouldn't ask you to betrayed your brother" "You don't have to" Bruh who tf thinking this is romantic??? If Amaya was there she would have kicked his ass so hard. 🤷 Rayla has her own family and character's arc, but what does Callum have? Like they completely forgot about his relationship with everyone else besides Rayla. Avatar the last Airbender and The Owl House also have romance subplot but it doesn't overshadowed the main plot, which is about friendship and family. Image Eda and Luz's relationship being sidelined for Luz and Amity? Even the last shot of TOH is about Luz with her friends and family together, but in TDP is only about Rayllum now.

I also have complaints about the vibe, this is the EPIC final season, it's supposed to be treated like that! I thought they would tone down the quirky humor and jokes but no...it's completely out of place and making the main threats are not serious as it seem. Can you image Aang cracking jokes before his confrontation with Ozai???

The final fight is the most unclimatic fight I ever seen, they made the main villian a joke and let him being defeated because the writers said so. Tbh the show treated Aaravos like he is the worst man alive but his actions making the most sense to me. If they don't want us to be sympathetic with him they wouldn't gave him a backstory with his daughter.

If they developed something between Aaravos and Callum-the villain and the protagonist, some parallel between them, I would feel satisfied watching them having the final confrontation, but NO, this dangerous villain is being defeated by a bunch of kids by the power of love and friendship now! In Avatar and TOH, the protagonist and their love interest has their own screen time to developed their own characters, they are being separated to being developed outside of the romantic relationship, but it's not the case with TDP. I don't know what's interesting about Callum's character outside his relationship with Rayla anymore.

The only one character are not being ruined is Claudia, I'm just glad they did not turn her into a "She is good all along she is just being manipulated!" Or "She has a change of heart now and sides with the good guys to beat the villain!". Just let be her evil as she is!

If they decide to make a saga then I hope they will done better than this because the Worldbuilding is really unique and I don't want it to go to waste

honestly speaking this season was alright. it def did not compare to season one, which i was expecting. yet it wasn’t up to par with it either. it felt like too much and not enough at the same time so it kinda fell flat to me

in season one everything was connected and there were very clear motives. from the bullying, so mun’s parents, the evil spirits, ji chung shin himself, and the corrupt government. and chung shin’s backstory made me feel for him which is what made him a great antagonist imo. like i loved him

but hwang pil gwang (slick back), gelly (hongjoong variant LMFAOO), and wong (just wong tbh)….mmph

i can’t really remember the beginning it took me 2 months to finish it but, dude and his crew showed up outta nowhere and just started creating chaos for funsies???? now don’t get me wrong, i’m all for villainy for fun but i just couldn’t get into for some reason with them. it just feels like their characters weren’t fleshed out enough for me to actually like them no matter how fine they are bc the whole crew could get it

and then we move to ma ju seok my adoring and loving husband. now this was something i could get behind. him going on a rampage trying to get revenge for his wife and baby, having enough rage to summon an evil spirit on his own??? like that’s what i’m talking about!!! i felt for him and wanted him to succeed bc that con man was also annoying as shit. i really and truly wanted him dead bc he was the absolute worst jfc

if the story only focused on him, and getting his revenge and having to take him down. and only him. seeing how far his rage could take him and what would happen ON HIS OWN without any outside manipulation pil hwang *coughs* would have been a lil more interesting to me and i think i would have enjoyed it more. ik pil gwang wanted his power n shit BUT WHY. like give me a reason.

TO ME hwang pil gwang and his crew added absolutely nothing to this for me. and gelly betraying slick back and all that other stuff just felt unnecessary to me. gelly not being able to do anything and literally almost every single time the crew showed up, and bc pil gwang wouldn’t help her. THAT MF RANGE IS INSANE!! but, but, jeok bong could have been more. i love him to death but he stayed the same person the entire time. granted towards the end he did start meshing with the group a bit better and throwing ideas out and stuff but i dunno bruh. i was feeling him and not feeling him at the same time.

the same goes for kang ki young. baby if you say that was myung seok from attorney woo i would have passed out pt2. like he did his thang bc i deadass hated his character even tho he was looking good as hell

the lack of so mun’s friends also bummed me out bc i really like them and they are an important part of his life. wanted to see more of those three together as well. my found family was not found with them this season

but the counters dynamic was still a++ like that’s real family. teasing ha na and do hwi, ha na having to save so mun while he was in a coma, then going to yung to ask why so mun leaving, jeok bong calling mun his brother just *wipes tear* magnificent

and why tf did mun have to lose his powers again. we did that shit in season one there was no need for that tbh

Regarding the manga leaks;

I know I sound delusional (I am but idc), but genuinely I can't wrap my head around this being tomuras end?? Like? Just like that ? I will say, I am not very caught up with the manga, so I'm just going to comment on what I do know.

Let's say it is the end for him, and tomura is really gone;

I don't say this often, bc usually I know the writer knows best, but if that is tomuras end it just feels,,, not impactful. I know horikoshi has said the manga is going to end soon. But he's said that,,, sooo many times lol. But back to what I said about the ending, it feels rushed, and tbh it's felt rushed for a while. I think, from my understanding, it seems he's just burnt out on writing it. Which tbh I don't blame him because the series has been going on for 8 years.

Personally, I wouldn't be upset if he just took a break and came back. Even if it's a very long break. But of course, that's up to him entirely. Im not gonna be *that* fan lol.

That being said, I'm going to take the ending with a grain of salt (if it's truly tomuras end). I think someone also mentioned there was a small mention of a "reconstruction" part of of his quirk?? So it's possible horikoshi is going to revisit that in the scene where tomura may die.

It would really feel odd to see tomura die, after all this time. Like so much was put into his character. In my *personal* opinion, he has more character depth than izuku at this point. Izuku had great potential, but to my knowledge there's no back story other than him being quirkless and fatherless(?). The only thing that I liked about his character in the beginning, was his drive and genuine determination to be a real hero.

At this point though, it feels like I don't even know his character. Having so many characters, and trying to fit so many stories in them, will eventually lead into some sort of conundrum with the plot. It got to a point where I felt more connected to the villains than our supposed main character?? I almost thought that that was the direction horikoshi was going in. To be like "oops you thought izuku was the main character, but really this is tomuras story" which would've been really cool. It's so hard to relate to izuku as a character because there's no depth. I don't see many flaws in his character. His flaws as a character are his flaws, if that makes sense. He had nothing to improve on besides his quirk. I didn't see any growth in him as a person because there was nothing to grow from.

That being SAID, it feels like an absolute waste of tomuras character if he's thrown away, and would feel so unnecessary. Tomura had so much growth, and development, it's so hard not to love him. So many of us can legit relate to the villains on a personal level. I think I'm going to be more sad at the fact that the characters are being wasted. I grew up with these characters. I started watching when I was 16 and I'm 21 almost 22 now.

If this is tomuras end, I'm just gonna write a self indulgent fanfic about how I want the ending lol. Even if tomura is meant to be the villain, he deserves a better ending. They all do. I'm still in denial about twice's/Jin's death 😭.

Sorry for the seemingly long rant LOL. But ugh, I'm gonna be so disappointed to make a long story short. Tbh there's so many good original authors on AO3, I'm not sure I deserve the amazing folks who read and create stuff around my stuff, I feel very lucky and fortunate to be here, but I'm not more talented than some of the other original authors I've read on AO3! I might be more tenacious re: social media presence though, lol.

I've met the best people doing my job this way, tbh, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. For a long time I really felt like I should do things the 'right way' (publish novels, delete anything that was popular on AO3 and rebrand it into a novel, etc. etc. novels blah blah novels), and then one day it was like no, actually, this is the right way. :D

I tripped into this way of doing things and frankly it was my readers who led me here. They were the ones who asked me to make this Tumblr, and to open a Patreon, and to open a Ko-Fi, and they're the ones who show me which stories they love the most and the ones who help me become a (hopefully) better writer.

So yeah, I'll keep turning up as long as others keep turning up, and that's a fun thing to be doing. :D

So there is like one rus dude that makes mincraft lets plays with plot and shit(he doing this with his team btw) and his name is lololoshka. Man i loved his videos ever since i was little and these new story lets plays are so fun, at least they were until the most recent lets play drooped:/(its name is voice of time btw). Man this show is so bad in comparison with last one its wild. The last one had qeeur representation, a lot of female lead characters and i just like the story better tbh. And also writers gave the main character the option to be in relationship with jther char, which he decided against rom relationship

Now this new one often boils my blood. First of all, there only two female lead characters, you can argue that only one tbh, there 0 female characters in background and good lord this lets play is angsty and edgy af cuz like there each new episode some kind of moment like "WhAt you are me FaThEr!? It cant be!!!" and its so damn often. Also all the conflicts feel so repetitiveevrey time, there always point of "distrust" and then "forgivness" cuz its turned out somw character were some hiding something from main characters(and this shit happened like 20 times). Also, about the main characters, the only two that we have is angsty girl without parents an mood swings and just the "cool" type of girl. I still love them, dont get me wrong, but they both seem so flat with other characters. And the worst part, the first girl became Lololoshka's love interest, writes just didn't even bother to give an option to choose(like idk SAY NO TO A FUCKING KISS) and its so damn sad for me. Like this girl is the only girl that we(viewers) see often enough and she becames fucking love interest??? Without even asking the main characte?? Bruh

Hi Kiko, if you thought my last ask was funny, it gets better. So going back to Walter Mischels theory. One of those theories is a delayed gratification theory known as the Marshmallow theory where you have the option to get a treat you don't like as much right now or you wait and get your favourite treat. Which, ya know, ALSO reminds me of these two but I digress.

Part of his theory that I mentioned yesterday is as follows: people engage in a cognitive process where they see, interpret, evaluate, create possible responses, then select their choice of response and enact it. These behaviours may differ by situations depending on their emotions or thoughts in order to match the moment.

OKAY BUT HERE'S THE THING: PHYSICAL PARADOX EARLY TIMES WAS THE FUCKING MARSHMALLOW THEORY.

Because Gojo really wanted to be friends with Rinko, but he was also so fucking attracted to her and really wanted to fuck her. BUT, he realized that (because Rinko quite literally told him in different words) if he got one night with her before he proved he could be her friend then that was all he would ever get and he probably wouldn't even get to be friends with her afterward. But if he could prove he could be a good friend, then she would eventually agree to date him! (it took a YEAR, BY THE WAY. A YEAR. This man's waited a YEAR just in fucking agony but also kinda happy because he really enjoyed being around her.)

Rinko is also going to be slightly aware of this. Obviously because she's studying psychology. And she's going to specialize in cognitive and behavioral research. So, I need to figure out how I can work some of that in 🤔🤔🤔

wait omfg I think I forgot to mention to Jaune 💀 I don’t hate him I swear The way his semblance and aura are practically working against each other is a REALLY interesting and nice touch, and i don’t think ive ever seen it applied like this. And I love his “i went from nothing to nothing line” and how he’s just so glad he was able to save somebody. 🥹 it captured that part of his character so well and tbh the same goes for all the others (me @ ruby rn is going “bitch is you BLIND”). It’s a really neat touch to the chapter!!

I can't tell if you've read the epilogue yet, but either way I am injecting every keysmash in this message directly into my veins. Your reviews were one of the things I most looked forward to when writing a new chapter - I was excited to see which lines you'd specifically comment on. You're probably at least 20% of the reason this story got finished at all lol.

finally finished Hilda s3 a couple of days ago and straight up cried :') I can't believe it's over

I have some critiques about s3 alkjahf so I'll get those out of the way first and then all my crying fangirling at the end!!

My main gripe was with the alternate universe episode; it feels so out of place compared to the others?? I kind of get what they were going for since the moral sort of ties into the finale, but it wasn't that clear of a tie-in, so it feels more like it should've been a s2 episode tbh?? But obviously you can't go back and add smth to s2 LOL so I just think it could've been written a little better considering the pacing of the season

I know it was a longer finale BUT GIVE US MORE EPISODES PLEASEEEE 13 eps in the first 2 seasons and only 8 in s3 (similar runtime tho ig) aghhhh I want the balanced numbers though :')

ANYWAY AGHHHH HILDA IS OVER NOOOOO 😭😭 GIVE US ANOTHER MOVIE PLEASEEEE

It's hard for me to find many shows to watch/finish since I have big issues with second-hand embarrassment, but thankfully Hilda has less of it, so it's something I latched onto and binged with my younger sibling! So it has been a comfort show for a couple of years now :')

THE ART STYLE. Oml the art style. Bruh I'm so heckin glad about the visual design choices of this whole series. The colour palette is limited in a way and it's so gosh darn consistent and balanced and it makes me want to eat every frame oml. Something I always point out to friends is the environment since I did an art style challenge once and grew to appreciate the details (not to mention the soundtrack?? geez what a solid show)

But by far my FAVOURITE part of this show is the contemporary fantasy aspect, specifically contemporary fantasy where the fantasy elements are still unnatural but accepted. I love any story like this where magic isn't exactly 'common,' but it's accepted as normal. The best example of this are the nisse since they're so common in Trolberg, yet most people who live there don't understand exactly how they work!

Overall, love this show, you know I love it when I wish I could've helped make it
