everything is lost
aitana bonmati x f!chelsea!spanish!reader
after leaving barcelona, aitana wondered if you were leaving her
warnings: angst, google translated spanish, 4.2k word count
requested? yes
the first leg in barcelona was a war that felt as if you were encircled on all sides. Â
you had walked into the tunnel with your head high, ignoring the way your stomach twisted at the thought of playing against aitana, your aitana, the aitana youâve been dating for three years.
you knew this was coming, but still, it felt foreign, unnatural.Â
you had been teammates before, had worn the same red for spain, had shared hotel rooms during international duty.
however, you felt different now.Â
aitana was on the other side.
you transferred from barcelona to chelsea last season, something that caused tension between aitana and you.Â
the arguments from that eventually subsided, but this match might unscrew that lid again.  Â
she did not look at you during warmups. did not acknowledge you when you passed her in the tunnel. she spoke to lucy, to keira, to patri, but not to you. Â
you thought it was fine, of course she would talk to her own club teammates.
suddenly, you see her talking to lauren, erin, and millie.
your teammates.
maybe you shouldnât have let it her ignoring you get to you, but it did. Â
so when the match began, you played with a feeling you hadnât felt in months. every duel with aitana felt personal, sometimes you side tackled making sure that you did not injure herâ but you wanted her to feel that you werenât going to take her easy because she is your girlfriend.
when you shoved her off the ball in the 38th minute and sent a long pass to erin, the crowd erupted. Â
erin scored. Â
chelsea was up 1-0. Â
when the whistle blew for full-time, you exhaled, exhausted but victorious. one foot in the final. Â
then you saw her. Â
aitana was standing there, her hands on her hips, her jaw tight. when you walked past her, she finally spoke. Â
"te sentiste bien con eso?" she asked, her voice sharper than usual. Â
("did you feel okay about that?")
you turned to her, frowning.
 "ÂżquĂ©?" Â
(what?)
"celebraste como si hubieras ganado el torneo," she said, shaking her head.Â
"ni siquiera has llegado a la final."Â Â
("you celebrated as if you had won the tournament,"Â
"you didn't even make it to the finals.")
"Âżen serio?" you scoffed.Â
"pensĂ© que sabĂas lo que es perder, aitana." Â
("really?")
("i thought you knew what it was like to lose, aitana.")
the words hit harder than you meant them to. Â
the catalanâs eyes darkened, her lips parting like she couldnât believe you had said that.Â
you felt something crack between you. Â
she walked away without another word. Â
again⊠since you left barcelona for chelsea, things between you and aitana had been slowly unraveling. Â
at first, it was subtle, things you would not have noticed at first.Â
fewer texts during the day, delayed responses at night. the good morning messages became inconsistent, and the calls that once stretched for hours dwindled into brief, necessary check-ins.Â
she stopped sending you videos of her morning coffee, and you stopped sending her updates about your day.Â
maybe neither of you had meant for it to happen, but the distance was already creeping in before you had even realized. Â
long distance was not easy for people who did not seem to try.Â
then came the international breaks. Â
you saw aitana, of course, but it wasnât the same. Â
at barcelona, she had been your constant, the person you warmed up with, the one you sat beside at team meals, the one who instinctively reached for your hand under the table.Â
now, during spain camps, there was an invisible line drawn between you. you stayed with alexia, jenni, and misa, falling into your old friendships with ease. aitana stuck close to laia, sharing private conversations you were no longer a part of. Â
you noticed how she laughed easily with laia, how their heads tilted close when they whispered to each other. she looked comfortable. at ease. Â
not with you. Â
with you, there was hesitation, careful distance, like she wasnât sure how to act around you anymore. maybe you didnât know how to act around her either. maybe the space between you had stretched too wide, and neither of you had the courage to bridge it. Â
the worst part was, no one really questioned it. Â
it wasnât uncommon for teammates to gravitate toward different groups, to spend time with the people they were closest with. for you and aitana? that wasnât how it used to be. people noticed.Â
alexia did. jenni, too. misa had even asked once, "are you and aitana okay?"Â Â
you had shrugged.Â
"yeah, why wouldnât we be?" Â
that was a lie. Â
every time you sat across from her at dinner and she didnât meet your eyes, every time you cracked a joke that she didnât laugh at, every time you passed by each other in the hotel hallways and all you got was a nodâ Â
you knew you werenât okay. Â
and the worst part? Â
you didnât know if you ever would be again.
the catalan observed you on the pitch during the game, and it was much different than seeing you on screen.
aitana hated seeing you in that blue. Â
not the deep, royal blue of barcelona..the blue of london, of chelsea, of a club that was never hers and never would be. she hated how it clashed against her memories of you, how unnatural it looked after years of watching you wear the same colors as her, after years of sharing the same badge.Â
she never said it aloud, never admitted how much it burned, but every time she saw you fidget with that chelsea jersey in your soft hands, something inside her twisted. Â
you had chosen this. voluntarily. no one forced you out of barcelona. no one pushed you to leave. you just said that you were unhappy and dipped. you had made that decision yourself, and maybe that was what hurt the most. Â
the breakdown of your relationship was affecting everyoneâŠwhether you wanted to admit it or not. Â
especially the spanish girls. Â
for years, you and aitana had been the bright, untouchable IT couple. the golden pair of spanish football, of barcelona, of la roja. everyone had seen the way you looked at each other, the way you moved in sync on the pitch, the way aitanaâs fingers had always found yours in quiet moments, like it was second nature. Â
now? Â
now, it was different. Â
now, you played in different leagues, wore different colors, fought for different goals. now, instead of love, there was rivalryâŠan obsession with being better, with proving something, even if neither of you could fully name what that something was. Â
the worst part was, you still loved each other. Â
you knew it. she knew it. Â
however, football had consumed you both. Â
aitana had become the best footballer in the world, crowned the ballon dâor winner in 2023 and 2024. you werenât far behind, breaking into the top five both of those times, proving yourself among the best.Â
you should have been celebrating each other, should have been proud, should have been side by side through it all. Â
instead, you were enemies. Â
or at least, that was what it felt like. Â
and neither of you knew how to stop it.
in the second leg of the semifinals.. london was supposed to feel like home. Â
as you stood on the pitch, staring ahead at your old team, nostalgia wrapped around you like a phantom touch. Â
barcelona was celebrating. aitana was celebrating. Â
the catalan team won, 2-1 overall.
you could still hear the echoes of their cheers as you walked toward lauren, wrapping your arms around your exhausted teammate. she let out a breath against your shoulder, hands gripping your back tightly, and for a second, you allowed yourself to sink into the embrace, closing your eyes. Â
something clicked inside you. Â
what went wrong? Â
why were tana and i like this? Â
you had left barcelona willingly. you had no regrets about coming to chelsea, about finding something new instead of repetitive.Â
that didnât mean you didnât miss her. Â
suddenly, you wonderedâŠwere you two just dragging along an inevitable end to your relationship? or had you just let too much time slip away, avoiding the hard conversations that long distance demanded? Â
football was not supposed to be your whole life. Â
somehow, it had become exactly that. Â
you yearned for aitana. the ache was dull but ever present, sitting in your chest, right next to the love you still had for her. Â
she didnât yearn for you. Â
at least, that was what you told yourself when you looked up and saw her laughing, arms wrapped around fridolina, her head thrown back in joy. Â
she wasnât thinking about you. Â
she was happy. Â
without you. Â
you swallowed hard, turning away, willing yourself to push down the lump rising in your throat. you didnât want to break, not here, not now. Â
what you didnât see was the way aitanaâs expression shifted the moment you turned your back.. her smile faltered, then disappeared altogether. aitanaâs eyes followed you, watching as you lowered your head, as you tried to disappear into the shadows of your own thoughts. Â
she wanted to go to you. Â
wanted to comfort you. Â
but she didnât. Â
because she thought you would push her away. Â
and maybe she would never know that you wouldnât have.
bilbao, your home, felt warm. not because of the sun, not because of the excitement buzzing in the air for the champions league final. of course it had to be in your hometown, where chelsea could not play.Â
anyways,Â
despite everything, you were still here, sitting in the stands, supporting aitana, supporting your old club. Â
you werenât alone. Â
"you look like youâre about to throw up," jill teased beside you, nudging your arm. Â
you rolled your eyes, arms crossed as you kept your gaze fixed on the pitch.Â
"iâm fine." Â
you were not, something inside of you wondered if you should even be here.
"mhm," she hummed, unconvinced.Â
"because âfineâ definitely means sitting stiff as a statue in the stands, staring at your girlfriend like youâre in a tragic romance film."Â Â
you turned to glare at her, but jill just grinned. Â
jill is supporting her girlfriend, jana, who plays for barcelona. you love jana like she was your little sister, so of course your bond with the dutch woman grew over the last year playing in the WSL together.Â
"you can be honest, you know," she continued, leaning back in her seat.Â
"long distance is hell. every woman who is dating another in this sport has been through it. doesnât matter how strong you think you areâŠit tests you." Â
your jaw clenched.Â
"itâs not just that."Â Â
"no?" jillâs voice was softer now. Â
"itâs like... football became everything," you admitted, keeping your voice low.Â
"for both of us. and now, i donât even know if she sees me the same way anymore. or if sheâs just... moved on from us."Â Â
jill didnât answer right away. instead, she turned her attention back to the pitch. Â
"she hasnât moved on," she finally said.Â
"if she had, i do not think that you would be here." Â
you exhaled through your nose, unsure how to respond to that. Â
thenâ Â
aitana broke the deadlock. Â
your heart jumped as the ball hit the back of the net, as the stadium erupted around you. Â
she did it. Â
for a split second, you forgot about everything else. Â
you stood up, clapping, cheering, your eyes locked on her. you could feel the love radiating from you, unfiltered and real, your chest swelling with pride. Â
she celebrated with all of her teammates on the pitch.
afterâŠshe looked for you. Â
you noticed immediately. the way she scanned the crowd after the celebrations, searching, searchingâŠuntil her eyes found yours. Â
love. Â
it was there. in her gaze. Â
and then you did it, instinctively, without thinking. Â
your hands formed a heart. Â
aitanaâs expression softened, her lips parting slightly before she quickly did the same, her fingers curling into a small heart for you. Â
your chest ached. Â
"see?" jillâs voice cut in beside you.Â
"she still sees you, and loves you."Â Â
you sat down slowly, heart hammering, a light ease washing over you for the first time in months. Â
this wasnât a resolution. Â
this was a moment. Â
a reminder of what was still there. Â
whether or not you and aitana could find your way back to each otherâŠthat was still unknown.
after the final whistle, its 2-0. barcelona had done it again. champions of europe. while part of you was proud, happy for your old club, for your friends, for her, another part of you felt misplaced, like you were intruding. Â
the celebrations had already begun to die down when you finally made your way onto the pitch. Â
you followed jill like a lost puppy, your steps hesitant as your boots pressed into the familiar grass. you shouldnât feel like a stranger here, but you did. Â
jill had no such hesitations. she spotted jana immediately and sprinted toward her, engulfing her in a hug, leaving you to stand awkwardly near the edge of the celebrations. Â
you shouldnât be here. Â
the thought wormed its way into your mind, and for a second, you considered slipping away before anyone could notice you. Â
thenâ Â
âÂĄahĂ estĂĄs!â Â
(âthere you are!â)
before you could react, a pair of arms wrapped around you, pulling you into a tight hug. Â
patri. Â
you exhaled, hugging her back as a soft laugh escaped your lips. Â
"you knew iâd come," you muttered into her shoulder. Â
"of course," she grinned, pulling back slightly, hands still gripping your arms.Â
"and iâm glad you did. pero, quĂ© pena," she sighed dramatically, shaking her head. "i still wish you were on the team." Â
you giggled, nudging her playfully.Â
"iâm still very happy for you guys, regardless."Â Â
"i know," patri said, squeezing your arm once more before glancing over your shoulder.Â
"and i think thereâs someone else whoâs happy youâre here too."Â Â
you followed her gaze, your breath hitching slightly when you saw aitana standing a few feet away. Â
she looked frozen in place. Â
she had clearly noticed you, had been watching, but she didnât seem to know what to do. Â
luckily, you did. Â
without hesitating, you walked toward her, your arms spreading out slightly, offering her the space to meet you halfway. Â
and she did. Â
aitana;s arms wrapped around you, your own arms tightening around her waist. the moment you sank into her, you felt yourself relax in a way you hadnât in months. the hug lasted far longer than it probably should haveâŠneither of you willing to let go. Â
you swayed side to side slightly, pressing your face into the crook of her neck, inhaling the familiar scent of her scent and shampoo. Â
you needed this. Â
you needed her. Â
she needed you.
she needed this.
rivalry aside, distance aside, confusion asideâŠthis was still the love of your life. Â
"iâm happy youâre here," aitana finally murmured, voice quieter than usual. Â
you smiled, pulling back just enough to look at her.Â
"iâm happy that you won."Â Â
aitanaâs lips parted slightly.Â
"really?" Â
you laughed, shaking your head.Â
"of course. i donât hate you guys, you know."Â Â
aitana let out a small breath, nodding.Â
"lo sĂ©, lo sĂ©, no te preocupes." Â
(âi know, i know, don't worry.")
something inside you wonderedâŠdid she know? Â
you stood there for another few moments, wrapped in each otherâs warmth, before ingrid called her name, snapping her back to reality. Â
"iâll see you later?" aitana asked, eyes searching yours. Â
you hesitated, but nodded.Â
"yeah."Â Â
later never came. Â
the moment had felt goodâŠright, evenâŠbut after the final, things between you and aitana slipped right back into the same cycle. Â
the texts remained sporadic, the calls non-existent. when you did text, conversations were short, often left unfinished. Â
you told yourself it was just the aftermath of the season, the exhaustion, the obligations, but deep down, you knew better. Â
it was affecting you. Â
mentally, emotionallyâŠyou felt off. distracted during any outings in london, restless at night, constantly unlocking your phone only to lock it again, hoping for a message that never came. Â
and aitana? Â
she wasnât doing much better. Â
she threw herself into her training, into everything but you. she told herself that it was just easier this way, that if you wanted to talk, you would reach out first. Â
but she missed you. Â
she missed you in the quiet moments, in the in-betweens, when she grabbed her phone only to realize she had no reason to text you anymore. she missed you when she made her morning coffee and didnât have anyone to send a picture to. she missed you when she caught herself scrolling through old photos, reading old texts, looking for something that felt like you.
the you before you left barcelona. Â
and the spanish girls noticed. Â
they werenât blind. they werenât stupid. Â
they had watched you and aitana go from inseparable to distant. from untouchable to strained. Â
and now, with the olympics just a few weeks away, they knew they had to do something. Â
"okay, this is ridiculous," alexia sighed, crossing her arms as she sat in the living room of her home with jenni, misa, and salma.Â
"we canât go into the olympics like this."Â Â
"theyâre exhausting," misa groaned, tossing her head back against the couch.Â
"theyâre both miserable, and theyâre making the rest of us miserable too." Â
salma, who had been quiet up until now, finally spoke up.Â
"so what do we do?"Â Â
alexia exchanged a glance with jenni. Â
"we fix it," jenni smirked. Â
misa frowned.Â
"and how exactly do we do that?"Â Â
alexia leaned forward, resting her elbows on her knees.Â
"simple. we trap them."Â Â
salma raised an eyebrow.Â
"trap them?"Â Â
"yes," alexia nodded.Â
"they clearly arenât going to talk on their own. so we make them."Â Â
"we force them into a situation where they have to talk," jenni added, her smirk widening.Â
"where they canât just avoid each other like theyâve been doing for months. theyâre acting like children."Â Â
misaâs lips curled into a slow grin.Â
"i love this."Â Â
"whatâs the plan?" salma asked. Â
alexia exhaled.Â
"we need them to be alone. somewhere they canât just walk away."Â Â
"like a room?" misa suggested. Â
alexia shook her head.Â
"too easy to leave."Â Â
"an empty locker room?"Â Â
"no, thatâs too obvious."Â Â
jenniâs eyes suddenly lit up.Â
"what if we send them on an âerrandâ? make them think they have to pick something up for the team..except, surprise, theyâre actually just stuck together."Â Â
misa laughed.Â
"oh, thatâs evil. i love it."Â Â
"perfect," alexia smirked.Â
"weâll figure out the details later. but for now, all we have to do is make sure neither of them suspect a thing."Â Â
"so we act normal?" salma asked. Â
"exactly," alexia nodded.Â
"and then, when the time comesâŠ" Â
"we force them to talk," misa finished, her grin mischievous. Â
the plan was set. Â
and whether you and aitana liked it or not, the reckoning was coming.
four days later⊠it was misa who got to you first on the first day of national camp. Â
âwe need a favor,â she said, linking her arm with yours as you walked out of the locker room.Â
âlexi and i were supposed to go pick up some stuff for the team, but weâre too tired. can you and aitana do it?â Â
you blinked at her.Â
âme and aitana?â Â
misa smiled innocently, which meant she was up to something.Â
âyes, you and aitana. come on, you owe me for all the times iâve covered for you when you sneak snacks into camp on your period.. even after that son of a bitch said we could not have any.â Â
son of a bitch = the old coach.Â
âfirst of all, i did not sneak snacks,â you said, narrowing your eyes. Â
misa ignored you.Â
âitâll only take, like, thirty minutes. max.â Â
you hesitated, glancing toward the other side of the room where aitana stood, tying the laces of her trainers. Â
âdoes she even want to go with me?â you muttered. Â
misa grinned, pushing you forward.Â
âshe just doesnât know it yet.â Â
ten minutes later..
âokay,â you said, stopping in the middle of the empty hallway.Â
âthis is a trap.â Â
aitana turned to look at you, arms crossed.Â
âwhat?â Â
âthis,â you gestured around, at the hallway, at the fact that the âerrandâ misa had sent you on led to a completely locked storage room.Â
âthis is a setup.â Â
aitana frowned, glancing at the door and then back at you.Â
âthey wouldnâtâŠâ Â
you both stared at each other. Â
they absolutely would. Â
aitana exhaled sharply, running a hand through her hair.Â
âunbelievable.â Â
âyou think theyâll let us out if we start screaming?â you joked, leaning back against the wall. Â
aitana sighed, shaking her head.Â
âthey wonât let us out until we talk.â Â
you swallowed.Â
âdo you want to?â Â
silence. Â
aitanaâs gaze fell to the floor, her arms still crossed over her chest like she was trying to hold something in. Â
âdo you?â you asked again, softer this time. Â
aitana clenched her jaw.Â
âi donât know where to start.â Â
you took a deep breath.Â
âstart with why youâve been acting like i abandoned you.â Â
aitanaâs head snapped up.Â
âbecause it felt like you did!â she blurted, her voice raw, full of something broken. Â
you inhaled sharply. Â
âi didnât leave you,â you whispered. Â
aitana let out a bitter laugh.Â
âno? then why does it feel like you did? you left barcelona, you left me, you left everything we had, and you justâŠacted like it was normal. like it didnât mean anything.â Â
your chest ached.Â
âit wasnât about you, aitana.â Â
âthen why?â she pressed, stepping closer, her voice trembling.Â
âwhy did you leave?â Â
you swallowed hard, your hands clenching at your sides.Â
âbecause i was depressed.â Â
aitanaâs eyes widened slightly. Â
âi wasnât okay,â you admitted, your voice thick with emotion.Â
âi needed a change, a new club, something different. there was no abuse at barcelon, no mistreatment, no one pushed me out so do not worry about thatâŠbut i wasnât happy anymore. i needed to go somewhere else, to breathe, to feel again.â Â
aitana stayed silent, her lips parted slightly as if she wasnât sure what to say. Â
âyou know i was not getting a lot of starting time. you knew how much the national team things were getting to me. i just needed to get out of spain, okay?â
you exhaled shakily, your voice dropping.Â
âand it hurts me that you took it so personally. like i chose to leave you like i wanted to hurt you.â Â
aitanaâs face softened, her brows furrowing. Â
you shook your head, blinking rapidly to push back the tears threatening to fall.Â
âi miss you, aitana. i miss us. i miss what we were before all of this.â Â
aitana exhaled, stepping closer. Â
âso do i,â she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.Â
âi justâŠI hated seeing you at chelsea. it felt wrong. it felt like you werenât mine anymore.â Â
you let out a watery laugh.Â
âi was never not yours.â Â
aitanaâs lips parted again, her expression pained. Â
you wiped your face, your breath uneven.
âiâm sorry for leaving⊠but iâm not sorry for choosing chelsea.â Â
aitana nodded slowly, processing your words. Â
âand if you canât do long distance anymore, then our three-year relationship can end here,â you said, voice shaking despite the steadiness of your tone. Â
aitanaâs entire body tensed. Â
you swallowed hard, meeting her eyes.Â
âbut i donât want it to end, i do not think it needs to end if we can get through this and find resolutions.â Â
aitana shook her head, stepping forward abruptly.Â
âi donât either.â Â
the words crashed over you like a wave. Â
you let out a soft sob, and aitanaâs arms were around you before you could think.Â
you collapsed into her hold, pressing your face into her shoulder as she held you tighter than she ever had before. Â
âi love you,â she whispered into your hair, her voice breaking. Â
your fingers curled into the fabric of her hoodie, clutching onto her like she was the only thing keeping you grounded. Â
âi love you too,â you breathed. Â
you stayed like that for a long time, clinging to each other in the silence, breathing in sync. aitanaâs hand ran soothingly up and down your back, her touch grounding, familiar, home. Â
after a while, aitana sighed, her chin resting on top of your head.Â
âwhat do we do now?â Â
you pulled back just enough to look at her.Â
âafter the olympics, we take some time. just us. no football, no rivalry. just time to forgive each other, to move past this.â Â
aitana nodded, eyes filled with something softer.Â
âand we figure out how to make this work. properly.â Â
you managed a small smile.Â
âyeah.â Â
aitana cupped your cheek, her thumb brushing away the stray tear that had fallen.Â
âi donât want to lose you.â Â
you leaned into her touch, your eyes fluttering shut.Â
âthen donât.â Â
aitana pressed a lingering kiss to your forehead before pulling you into her arms again, her body warm and solid against yours. Â
this was not a perfect resolution. Â
there was still work to do. still things to figure out. Â
but for now, this was enough. Â
this is love.

taste II Ingrid Engen x Mapi LeĂłn x Reader

masterlist I word count: 1018
a/n: dear readers, this short, a little silly but cute oneshot was inspired by this request here, happy reading. đ«¶đ» đââŹ
Autumn has finally arrived in Barcelona. Leaves painted in red, orange and yellow started to fall from the trees for one last dance. Baghera was entranced by what nature did and watched everything from her favourite spot in the living room close to the window.
Every year you both were falling in love with that season of the year, as it might be an ending to a summer you fully lived, but also the beginning of something fresh and new.
The championâs league was about to start and games under the lights were always something special, alone the thought of it filled you with giddy excitement.
âGirls, I invited Esmee for dinner. Thatâs alright, right?â, you asked your girlfriends who were already in the kitchen.
âYes, of course, kjaerste.â, Ingrid nodded friendly, standing in front of the stove. While Mapi was launching around in one of the chairs in a sitting position which screamed gay, and parents would judge because of bad posture.
âShe was so sad that her parents left again. I thought she could use the distraction.â, you continued. The sad face of the young player was still fresh in your memory.
As a foreign player yourself you knew that being separated from your family for such long periods of time was hard especially when the nights got colder and the daylight shorter.
When you first came to Barcelona at Esmeeâs age you were glad that Mapi and Ingrid welcomed you into their home with open arms, the appartement you began to share with them turning into a home away from home soon.
âThatâs very sweet of you.â, the Norwegian commented, her forehead covered in frowning lines, looking concentrated at the recipe ahead of her.
âWhatâs for dinner?â, Mapi questioned smirking.
âIâve something delicious planned.â, Ingrid announced delighted.
The Spaniard and you took a curious glance at the cookbook before exclaiming, faces formed to disgusted grimaces. âPumpkin soup?!â
âWhy do I have two children, one who has no patience and the other has the taste bud of a toddler?â, the dark-haired women groaned in response.
âExcuse me?â, you replied, pretending to be offended.
âI said what I said.â, Ingrid declared who tried her best to suppress a smile.
âCanât you make some chicken nuggies?â, you asked your girlfriend, giving her puppy-eyes which you hoped would warm her Scandinavian heart. Often this worked out perfectly fine.
âPlease, please, please.â, Mapi supported your suggestion loudly.
âGirls, seriously?â, Ingrid sighed, the defender and you knew from her sigh alone that you both had won in the question of whatâs going to be for dinner.
A knocking on the door interrupted the discussion. You opened the door for Esmee and led her into the kitchen.
âHi everyone. Ingrid, what are you cooking? Can I help you?â, the young player asked politely, peeking over the shoulder of the tall Norwegian.
âIâm making pum-âŠâ, she started, one last attempt to get someone on her side.
âWeâre having chickie nuggies!â, Mapi and you announced simultaneously.
Finally, Ingrid gave in: âYes, weâre having chicken nuggetsâŠâ
âThanks, love.â, you thanked her, beaming.
A small smile appeared on her face as she nudged your side: âYouâre lucky I love you two so much.â
âWe love you too, amor.â, Mapi replied, kissing Ingrids right cheek while you got on your tiptoes to kiss her left.
Esmee cleared her throat, making sure you hadnât forgotten that you had a visitor.
Blushing, Ingrid pushed the two of you away and got to work.
You grinned at Esmee: âHope you like nuggets, Esmee.â
She nodded happily, looking a bit relieved that it wasnât pumpkin soup: âI do.â
âThen sit down while Ingrid shows us her cooking skills.â, you joked.
Ingrid rolled her eyes next to you. Of the three of you, she was definitely the best cook so making chicken nuggets was beneath her actual cooking skills.
Still, she managed to present you with a batch of perfectly crispy nuggets, a homemade dipping sauce and a bowl of fresh salad. You were all athletes after all.
âThis isâŠâ; Esmee said between two mouthfuls of salad.
âDelicious as always.â, Mapi completed the sentence for her, gleefully biting into a nugget.
Ingrid smiled across the table, seemingly happy that you all enjoyed her food: âThank you, girls.â
âYouâre the best cook.â, you agreed with the others.
âIâll try the pumpkin soup another time though.â, the Norwegian warned you jokingly.
âI promise weâll try it then.â, you assured her. It was only fair that she would get her pumpkin soup.
âAppreciate it.â
The food was quickly gone, leaving the table cluttered with empty dishes.
Mapi leaned back in her chair with a yawn: âNow time for a nap.â
âThanks for the dinner, girls.â, Esmee said after she made sure that Ingrid didnât want any help washing dishes.
âNo worries, youâre always welcome here.â, you assured the young player and pulled her into a quick hug before she left.
You smiled to yourself as you closed the door behind her, you loved providing a safe space for the young players, making sure they had everything they needed even if it was just dinner.
âY/n, Ingrid, hurry up!â, you heard Mapi call from the living room.
Ingrid left the kitchen, rolling her eyes: âThat kid has no patience.â
âYou still love it.â, you laughed as the two of you entered the living room where Mapi laid sprawled out on the sofa.
âCome into my arms, my loves.â, she laughed, making space for both of you on each side.
You didnât even think twice as you launched yourself onto the sofa: âComing!â
âAll here.â, Ingrid smiled as she took the other side of the sofa.
Mapi sighed with content, wrapping one arm around each of you: âThatâs how I like it.â
âSandwiched on the sofa? We know.â, you teased her.
Ingrid chuckled lightly, reaching over Mapi and intertwined her fingers with yours: âMe too. With my two favourite children.â
With her eyes already closed, Mapi mumbled something unintelligible, already snoozing.
You cuddled closer into her side.
There was nothing better to do on your free day.

Little Prankster
Ingrid Engen x Mapi Leon x DaughterMila
It was another lively day at the FC Barcelona facilities, and little Mila Engen-Leon was up to her usual antics. The tiny whirlwind of energy, who was often found trailing behind her mothers, Ingrid and Mapi, had once again teamed up with her favorite mischief-making tias, Esmee and Kika. The duo had become her unofficial big sisters, always roping her into their latest pranks.
Today was no different.
With the entire team in the gym, focused on their workouts, Mila slipped away, her assignment clear. She snuck into the locker room, her little fingers quickly knotting together the shoelaces of every pair of shoes she could find. Giggling to herself, she dashed back to the gym, her next target already in sight.
Patri was deep in concentration, lifting weights, completely unaware of the small shadow creeping up behind her. With a sudden, high-pitched "Boo!", Mila succeeded in making Patri jump in fright, nearly dropping her weights. Esmee was on the floor, laughing so hard she was crying, while Mila, knowing revenge might be imminent, took off running.
Her next victim? None other than the team captain herself, Alexia. With a sneaky grin, Mila swapped Alexiaâs usual protein shake with a mysterious bottle Kika had given her earlier that morning. She waited patiently, watching from a safe distance with Esmee and Kika.
When Alexia finally took a break and lifted the bottle to her lips, disaster struck. The moment the liquid hit her tongue, she spat it out in shock, coughing and looking around in disbelief. "What theâ?!" she sputtered, wiping her mouth.
Esmee and Kika erupted into laughter, and that was all the confirmation Alexia needed. She fixed them with a sharp stare, her captain's voice cutting through the laughter.
"Esmee. Kika. Mila. Here. Now."
The three culprits made their way over, feigning innocence. "Who was it?" Alexia asked, arms crossed. Silence. She raised an eyebrow and looked down at Mila, knowing the little one couldnât withstand the pressure.
Mila wiggled uncomfortably under Alexiaâs gaze before finally confessing, "I changed the bottle... but Esmee and Kika gave it to me!" She looked up at Alexia with big, apologetic eyes. "Sorry, Tia Alexia."
Alexia sighed, shaking her head. "I can't be mad at you, princesa," she said, ruffling Milaâs hair. "But you two?" she turned her glare onto Esmee and Kika. "You're supposed to be role models. You'll be running laps after training."
Mila smirked as her partners-in-crime groaned. But the fun wasn't over yet.
After finishing their gym session, the team moved to the locker room, ready to change for their scrimmage. The moment they saw their tangled shoelaces, chaos ensued.
"ESMEE! KIKA!" voices rang out in unison. The duo grabbed their shoes and bolted towards the pitch, knowing they'd just been framed for something they didn't directly do.
Mila, still in the locker room, giggled to herself. "Oops."
But before she could make her escape, a tall shadow loomed over her. She turned around slowly, coming face-to-face with her Mama, who did not look amused.
"Mila," Ingrid said sternly. "This is not funny."
Mila tried her signature puppy-dog eyes, but her mother didnât budge. "No playing on the pitch today. Thatâs your punishment."
Milaâs hopeful gaze shifted to her Mami, but Mapi simply nodded in agreement. "Actions have consequences, pequena."
"Thatâs not fair!" Mila huffed, stomping her little foot.
"Fair or not, thatâs the rule," Ingrid said. "And before you go outside, you need to do one more thing."
Mila blinked up at her mother, confused.
"Apologize."
Mila pouted but knew arguing was pointless. She turned to the rest of the team, muttering a small, "Sorry, everyone," before being allowed outside.
Sitting in the shade, she watched her mothers and tias play, itching to join them. When training ended, she was about to leave when she caught a glimpse of Alexia lecturing Esmee and Kika once again before they reluctantly started running their punishment laps.
A satisfied grin spread across Milaâs face, but before she could revel in it too long, a hand landed on her shoulder. She looked up to see her Mami staring down at her with a smirk.
"If you keep this up, peque, you'll be running laps too."
Milaâs eyes widened. Was Mapi joking? Or did she mean it?
Maybe it was time to ease up on the pranks... or at least plan them better.

girls
aitana bonmati x fem!reader
desc: kinda implicit smut but not much, still rated 16+ please!! also kinda short - im sorry its exam season and im dying đđ

aitana knew from a young age that she was into girls, when her highschool friends spent their free time talking about boys, she could never find it in herself to involve herself in the conversation. not many people knew about her sexuality, only ona and keira had a slight idea of it, after seeing aitana go home with a woman on one of the team night outs. if anyone asked aitana about her sexuality, she wouldnt lie, she would tell them confidentially that she was a lesbian, she wasnt ashamed of who she was after all.
the reason why hardly anyone knew, was that aitana didnt do relationships. most people on the team already knew that, aitana prioritised football over everything especially after 2023 ended, and as the awards kept stacking up, her winning mentality only increased, she put all of her time into making herself better.
that didnt make the spaniard inexperienced in the sexual aspects, and was never one to turn down a woman at the bar, but aitana preferred to skip the flirting, and get out of the club as soon as possible, especially before someone like mapi saw, who aitana knew would tease her all day at training.
however, since you joined the team, aitana didnt care about mapi seeing anymore, and instead focused on trying to not let you see, aitana wasnt sure why she was so against the idea of you knowing she was going home with another woman. but each time the midfielder spotted you sat down, laughing with your fellow lionesses at the table, the midfielder couldnt help but feel guilty as she let the other woman tug her towards the door.
as aitanas hookups increased, so did the pit of betrayal at the bottom of her stomach. but after one night, when thoughts of you plagued her mind as a girl that she didnt even know the name of came undone on her fingers, she knew she had to stop. normally, aitana lasted a few rounds, however this time her skills in the bedroom couldnt change her hookups mind, as aitana did the walk of shame out of this girls house after accidentally moaning your name as she came.
aitana did stop though, nearing around 4 months without a single girl, however the longer the period of time she spent without anyone, the more time she spent daydreaming of you. the main issue was that aitana was hardly even friends with you, sure the two of you had chemistry on the pitch, but off the pitch, the spaniard had no idea about you. aitana could just go on google or youtube to find out some facts about you and watch your interviews (which she had already done) however, anyone could find this out about you, aitana wanted to know things that the internet didnt. and to do that, she needed to try talk to you.
âââ
aitana liked to think of herself as a confident person, it took a lot of courage to heartlessly tell someone that they are nothing more than a hookup, but aitana hadnt thought about the fact that she had never had to see those women again. if you rejected her, then aitana would still have to see you each day at training, and she didnt think she could live with the embarrassment and awkwardness of that.
so she decided to first ask you to get a coffee with her after training, she knew lucy had brought you to training, so she could give you a lift back as well. aitanas plan was to befriend you first, and then try figure out if you reciprocated her feelings or not.
so when aitana decided she would offer to spot you, she didnt anticipate her body freezing up with nerves as she was about to ask you, which unluckily happened at the same time you failed your rep and actually needed aitanas help.
due to your intense sets, you were breathing unevenly as you tried to get aitanas attention, except gasping out âtanaâ didnt help the brunette anymore. instead her face blushed crimson, the spaniards pent up neediness for an orgasm from somebody other than herself was getting to her, and her mind couldnt help but think of how good you sounded saying her name.
her short daze was broken by you once again saying her name, as she quickly took the bar off you, repeating âlo sientoâ as you still gasped for air. when you grabbed onto the brunettes bicep for support, struggling to hold your self up after having your oxygen supply restricted for too long. you couldnt help but notice the muscle flexing unconsciously below your fingertips, which only seemed to make you feel more lightheaded.
âdios mio aitana, are you trying to kill me?â you wheezed out with a raspy chuckle, only to be met with silence from the midfielder and her holding up your water bottle to you. âyou know im not mad at you, right tana?â you asked the spaniard, uncomfortable at the thought of her thinking your mad at her. âsi, yes i know y/n, are you sure your okay?â she asked, as she gathered the courage to start rubbing comforting circles on your back. only when ona came up to the two of you, asking the both of you what happened accompanied with a knowing glance shot at aitana, did her hand stop rubbing circles on your back. the brunette instead let her hand fall, so it rested dangerously low on your lower back, causing you to shiver involuntarily.
you decided to call off your gym session early, you couldnt keep aitana off your mind, and your back still tingled where her hand had once rested. aitana decided to accompany you and drive you home, claiming she âowed it to youâ after almost ending your life. despite the girls actual reason to take you home being she wanted to build her friendship with you, you suspected the midfielder just felt bad. never once did it cross your mind to ask what it was that had aitana so distracted during your workout.
âââ
your apartment was a 10 minute drive from the training grounds, however aitana had decided to take a detour, claiming that it would be faster due to the bad traffic in barcelona. however, after almost 45 minutes in the car, you were beginning to get tired, you were having a great conversation with the brunette who currently had one hand resting on the steering wheel, expertly navigating round the quieter streets of barcelona. as you looked over at the midfielder, you couldnt help but admire her side profile, and the way her eyebrows furrowed in concentration as she tried to remember the route.
a quick glance at the street you were currently at, on the map displayed by the screen of her car, had you internally groaning in frustration as you realised you were still half an hour away from your apartment.
âaita, are we almost there? im tiredâ you asked the midfielder, who now had a look of shock and suprise on her face.
aitana hadnt even realised how long she had been in the car with you for, she only meant to detour and make the route 10 minutes longer, not an hour. even the detour was only so she had enough time to build her courage to ask you out for a coffee.
âoh- yeah almost y/n! uhhh- like, another.. 30 minutes?â she said sheepishly, before quickly rushing out âÂżTe gustarĂa tomar un cafĂ© conmigo mañana?â
âaita, i dont speak spanish remember? especially not at the speed you just spoke at!â you said with a laugh.
fuck. aitana thought. although she had managed to ask you out, her nervous state had completely forgot to translate it into english so that you would understand. her adrenaline of asking you was wearing off, and she felt her previous nerves almost skyrocket at the thought of having to ask you again, especially now your full attention was on her.
âuhhh- get a coffee with me? i mean- uh, would you like to? to get a coffee with me? its fine if not- uh, it can just be as friends? if we are friends that is! its fine if-â until aitanas state of rambling was cut off by you who although found her flustered state very amusing, was starting to feel pity for the spaniard who was struggling to even form a sentence at this point.
âi would love to aitana, its a date!â
âit is?â the midfielder said, receiving an encouraging nod from you, âit is!â she said more excited now, making you laugh at her excitement.
âââ
to other people, it would probably look like aitana had been stood up, but in reality, she had just decided to arrive at the coffee shop an hour early to hopefully have a coffee or two before you came, and prepare herself in hope to not embarrass herself too much in front of you.
the coffee shop she had chosen was one she had been to for years, it was relatively popular amongst locals, and was a small, cozy, family owned business, that aitana had grown to love.
as soon as you walked in the shop aitana requested to meet you at, you were met with aromas of roasted coffee beans and fresh pastries, you scanned the shop for the midfielder you had grown to love, and saw her sat at a window seat, with an empty mug infront of her.
âi didnt get the time wrong did i?â you asked her, glancing at her empty cup.
âno, no- i got here earlyâ the brunette reassured, and outstretched her arms for a welcoming hug which you quickly accepted, the midfielder wrapped her arms around you, not wasting the opportunity to have you as close as possible. equally, you werent going to pass up the chance to have aitanas arms wrapped around you, especially as they were what you spent most of your gym time admiring as you did your weights, much to esmees amusement and annoyance, who was your usual gym partner.
as you pulled apart and sat down, aitana decided to go and order the both of you another coffee, coming back with two cinnamon lattes, your eyes widening in surprise as you realise she remembered your favourite drink that you mentioned during your rambling in the car yesterday.
the date went well, and much better than aitana expected, she managed to not embarrass herself at all, and left the date with a smudge of your lipstick on her cheek where you had kissed her goodbye, that she knew she would probably cry about when she had to wipe it off later.

used and discarded
barcelona femeni x f!reader with features of romantic!esmee brugts x f!reader, platonic!alexia putellas x f!reader, and platonic!kika nazareth x f!reader.
warnings: abandonment, r being used, alcohol/getting drunk, r being put in a dangerous situation, angst but comforting
there was loud music, crowded spaces, or overpriced drinks in the city center of barcelona.Â
one thing about you, you were never one to turn down a night out, not because you particularly enjoyed it but because you loved spending time with people.Â
at least, thatâs what you thought. Â
your college friends had invited you out, something they didnât do often, at least not unless they needed something from you. you didnât think like that though. you just figured they were busy, and when they did ask you to come out, you were happy to say yes. Â
so, here you were, sitting at a bar in the center of barcelona, your friends all huddled around a small table. your presence alone had drawn attention; a few people had recognized you when you walked in, whispering amongst themselves about how one of barcelonaâs midfielders were in the building.
ây/n, letâs take a picture,â lee, the one who had invited you out, grinned, sliding into the seat next to you. Â
âhuh? oh, sure,â you said, barely processing before she was already adjusting her phoneâs camera. Â
you werenât even sure what the picture was for, but you didnât question it, simply smiling as she leaned in. after a few clicks, she was already typing away on her phone, most likely uploading it to her instagram story. Â
you had barely touched your drink, still nursing your first one while everyone else was already onto their second or third. you didnât mind, though. you were used to staying in control. Â
âsooo,â lee dragged out, setting her phone down, âany chance you can get us into that club you went to with your teammates last week?â Â
you blinked, recalling the team outing at a private lounge that had required special reservations.Â
âoh⊠i donât know. alexia was the one who set it up.â Â
âyou could ask, though, right?â Â
âi mean, i could, but i think it was a one-time thingâŠâ Â
âcome on, y/n,â another one of your friends, sophie, pouted, âyou have connections. just ask.â Â
you hesitated. you didnât like using your status for favors, and you definitely didnât like asking alexia for something that would obviously annoy her. you didnât want to say no, either. you had a hard time with that. Â
âiâll see,â you finally said, earning a satisfied grin from sophie. Â
before you could dwell on it, your phone buzzed on the table. you glanced down, seeing a text from kika. Â
kika: you still out? Â
you furrowed your brows, replying quickly. Â
you: yeah, why? Â
she read the message immediately. then, the typing bubble appeared before disappearing. a few seconds later, another message popped up. Â
kika: just wondering. donât get too drunk, bebĂ©. Â
you smiled at the nickname, a warmth settling in your chest. kika was always looking out for you, she was your best friend on the team. Â
âwhoâs that?â sophie leaned over, glancing at your phone screen before you could lock it. Â
âkika,â you answered easily. Â
âugh,â another friend, laura, groaned and rolled her eyes, âshe doesnât like us.â Â
âwhat?â you asked, confused. Â
sofĂa laughed, shaking her head, ây/n, youâre so oblivious. your teammates hate us.â Â
your stomach twisted slightly at that.Â
âthey donât hate you.â Â
âthey do,â laura insisted, âespecially the famous one alexia. she glares at us every time she sees us with you.â Â
âyeah, and your girlfriend esmee? she never even speaks to us.â Â
you frowned. you had never noticed that. sure, alexia could be intimidating, but she wasnât rude. and esmee was just⊠esmee. she wasnât overly social to begin with. not since you started dating her over a year ago.
âmaybe youâre imagining it,â you tried to reason. Â
sophie smirked.Â
âsure, y/n. keep telling yourself that.â Â
the conversation moved on, but the thought lingered in your mind. was that really true? did your teammates really dislike your friends? why hadnât they told you? Â
you had no way of knowing that they had told you, just not directly. they had made snide comments, given you looks, even subtly tried to pull you away from your college friends and find better one. you, ever the optimist, had brushed it off every time. it wasnât until you left the bar a couple of hours later to go to another one with all of your friends.Â
the next club had flashing neon lights everywhere, the bass-heavy music that made your heart vibrate, and the taste of alcohol on your tongue. your friends had pulled you onto the dance floor, your laughter mixing with theirs as you all jumped to the beat of whatever song was blasting through the speakers.Â
arms were thrown over shoulders, drinks raised in cheers, and cameras constantly flashing as you posed for pictures that you would probably only remember through instagram stories the next morning. Â
it felt good to be carefree for once and to be normal. no football, no training schedules, no expectationsâŠjust you and your college friends, blending into the crowd. they hyped you up as you downed another shot, playfully teasing you when you scrunch your face at the burn.Â
sophie had draped an arm around your shoulders at one point, grinning as she said, "this is so much better than all that football stuff, right? just us, no stress."Â Â
you had laughed, nodding, "well i donât knowwww this is just fun."Â Â
now, standing in front of the mirror in the barâs bathroom, you werenât so sure. Â
your reflection stared back at youâŠswollen cheeks, slightly unfocused eyes, hair a little messier than you remembered. you swallowed hard, gripping the sink as the dizziness hit you all at once. Â
"shit," you mumbled, splashing cold water on your face. Â
you had training tomorrow. well, later today, technically. afternoon practice, but still. your coaches always told you that recovery was just as important as training itself but here you were, drunk off your ass, wobbling slightly as you turned off the sink. Â
oh well. it was one night. you barely go out anyways. so pushing the thought aside, you dried your hands and pulled out your phone, the screen nearly blinding you in the dim lighting. Â
1:34 a.m
you sighed, tucking your phone into your pocket before pushing the door open and stepping back into the main part of the bar. the air was thick with the scent of sweat, spilled drinks, and cheap cologne. the music pounded in your ears, and the crowd had only grown since you left. Â
you expected to see your friends still dancing, still drinking, still having the time of their lives. as you looked around, scanning the room, something felt⊠off. they werenât at the table where you last saw them. they werenât by the bar either. Â
your stomach twisted slightly as you wove through the crowd, bumping into people as you checked each corner of the bar. maybe they had gone outside for fresh air? maybe they had moved to a different section? Â
after ten minutes of searching, the pit in your stomach deepened. Â
they were gone. Â
pulling out your phone, you quickly tapped into the group chat. Â
you: where did you guys go? Â
no response. Â
you bit your lip, stepping up to the bar counter, trying to steady yourself as you leaned in toward the bartender.Â
"um, excuse me?"Â Â
the bartender, a middle-aged woman who looked like she had seen it all with her blue hair and tired eyes, barely glanced at you as she wiped down the counter, "yeah?"Â Â
"did you see a group of girls? they were all wearing black, and one of them had, uh, purple hair?"Â Â
she nodded, "yeah, they left about fifteen, twenty minutes ago." Â
you blinked, "oh. are you sure?"Â Â
she finally looked at you then, raising a brow, "yeah, kid. saw them walk out together. didnât see them come back."Â Â
your lips parted slightly, almost offended since you were called a kid but no words came out. you stood there, frozen, gripping your phone a little tighter as the reality of the situation slowly sank in. Â
they left without you and without telling you. Â
quickly, you opened your messages again, typing another text. Â
you: did you guys leave?? Â
the three dots appeared, then disappeared. your stomach dropped. another few seconds passed. then, one by one, you watched as your messages were marked as read. Â
no response. Â
you stared at the screen, heart pounding. Â
they left you. they actually left you.Â
you looked around the bar again, as if expecting them to magically reappear, to jump out and tell you it was just a joke. unfortunately, they werenât there. the people around you were strangers, caught up in their own worlds, unaware of the sinking feeling in your chest. Â
your breath hitched as you tried to reason with yourself. maybe they thought you had already left. maybe they were too drunk and forgot to text you. deep down, you knew the truth. Â
they didnât care. Â
they had used you for pictures, for attention, for the free drinks you had bought earlier in the night. they had laughed with you, danced with you, but when the time came to actually care about you, they had walked out without a second thought. Â
your hands trembled slightly as you locked your phone, shoving it into your pocket. you suddenly felt so stupid for believing they were your real friends and for thinking they actually liked you. you hated yourself for letting yourself get this drunk and careless when you had training tomorrow. Â
the realization hit you like a truck. Â
you were alone.
your fingers trembled as you gripped the edge of the table, trying to steady yourself. deep breaths. in through your nose, out through your mouth. it wasnât working. your chest was tight, your vision was swimming, and the realization that you were completely alone in a barcelona bar at nearly 2 a.m only made it worse. Â
you swallowed hard, blinking rapidly as tears threatened to spill. you were not going to cry here. not in front of all these strangers and not where anyone could see you breaking down. Â
so you did the only thing you could think of, you got up on shaky legs and pushed through the crowd, stumbling your way back to the bathroom. once inside, you locked yourself in the farthest stall and collapsed onto the closed toilet seat, pulling your knees to your chest as the first sob broke free. Â
this wasnât fair. Â
you just wanted to feel normal, to have a life outside of football. was that too much to ask? unfortunately, this is what you got for trusting people, for believing that they actually cared about you. you frowned realizing that your teammates were right. Â
you hiccupped, wiping your face with the sleeve of your hoodie, but the tears wouldnât stop. you had never felt so stupid in your life. your phone buzzed in your lap, and for a moment, you debated ignoring it. when you sniffled and glanced down, your blurry vision barely made out the contact name âesmee <3â and a tiktok link she had sent. Â
your breath hitched. she was awake and without thinking, you clicked on her contact and hit call. Â
it rang once. Â
twice.  Â
âhey,â esmeeâs voice came through, casual, like she hadnât just been sent into a call unexpectedly from her girlfriend at 2 oâclock in the morning.Â
âare you good?â Â
the second you heard her voice, everything inside you cracked open. Â
âesmee,â you choked out, your words tumbling over each other in a drunken panic, âiâ iâm scared, i donâtâi-i i donât know where i am, i was just having fun and then they.. fuck! they left me and i canât find them and i-i- i donât know how to get home..â Â
âhey, hey, slow downâ esmeeâs voice sharpened, her usual laid-back tone replaced with concern and fear after hearing your cries, âwhere are you?â Â
you squeezed your eyes shut, pressing your forehead against your knee.Â
âsome bar. near the beach. a..um.. an old fashioned speakeasy like bar, i think? i donât know which one.â Â
âokay,â esmee said, her voice calm but urgent, âsend me your location, yeah? you know how to do that?â Â
you nodded quickly before realizing she couldnât see you.Â
ây-yeah,â you stammered, but when you tried to exit the call and open the app, your fingers felt clumsy, your mind sluggish from the alcohol. Â
âshit, hold on,â you muttered, fumbling with your phone. Â
âyou got it, love?â esmee asked, softer now, but still worried. Â
âi.. um? i think? wait!â Â
you cursed under your breath as you clicked the wrong thing twice, your breathing getting quicker the longer it took. finally, finally, you managed to send her your live location. Â
âgot it,â she confirmed almost immediately, âokay, iâm coming. just stay on the phone with me, alright?â Â
you sniffled, âi.. iâm so sorry, es. i didnât mean to wake you up!â Â
âyou didnât wake me,â she interrupted, âi was already up waiting for you to get home safely before i went to sleep...â Â
you couldnât stop apologizing. the shame, the embarrassment, the fearâŠit was all too much. it was then when another thought slammed into you like a freight train. Â
alexia. Â
your breath hitched, and fresh tears welled in your eyes. Â
âesmee,â you whimpered, âam i gonna get in trouble?â Â
she hesitated for a second.Â
âwhat do you mean?â Â
âalexia,â you choked out, âsheâs gonna be so mad. iâ we have training tomorrow and now iâ iâm drunk and stupid and iâŠâ Â
your voice cracked as sobs overtook you again. Â
âhey, hey, stop that,â esmee said quickly, âweâll deal with that later, okay? iâll talk to her.. right now, i just need you to breathe. iâm on my way. just hold on for me, alright?â Â
you tried, you really did. however, you couldnât stop crying. Â
âitâs gonna be okay,â esmee reassured you, voice unwavering, âjust stay with me. iâm coming to get you.â
esmee arrived faster than you thought possible. by the time you stepped out of the bar, still clutching your phone with shaky fingers, she was already getting out of her car, eyes scanning the drunk and hyped up crowd until they locked onto you. Â
ây/n,â she breathed out in relief, rushing toward you. Â
you sniffled, rubbing your arms, the cold night air making your already trembling body shake even more. esmeeâs face softened as she took in your red-rimmed eyes, the way you were shivering not just from the weather but from the way the alcohol was leaving your system too fast. Â
without a second thought, she shrugged off her jacket and draped it over your shoulders.Â
âoh my, youâre freezing,â she muttered, rubbing your arms through the fabric. you swallowed hard, feeling your throat close up.Â
âi-i didnât know what to do,â you admitted in a small, broken voice. Â
esmee sighed, her expression a mix of frustration and concern.
âitâs okay, youâre safe now,â she reassured, looping an arm around your waist.Â
âcome on, letâs get you to the car.â Â
she guided you toward the passenger side, opening the door and helping you in before buckling your seatbelt for you when she noticed your fingers werenât cooperating. once she was sure you were settled, she jogged around to the driverâs side, getting in and turning up the heat the second she started the engine. Â
you curled into yourself, esmeeâs jacket engulfing you as you tried to stop the shivers wracking your body. Â
âiâm taking you to mine,â esmee announced as she pulled out of the parking lot, âi donât feel good about leaving you alone like this.â Â
you didnât argue. you couldnât. you just nodded, eyes unfocused as you stared at the dashboard. Â
the drive was quiet, except for the occasional sniffle from you and the sound of esmee tapping her fingers against the steering wheel, deep in thought. when you arrived, esmee wasted no time guiding you inside, kicking off her shoes as she led you to the bathroom.Â
âyou should shower,â she told you gently, already reaching for a fresh towel from the shelf, âitâll help you feel better.â Â
you nodded numbly, taking the towel from her hands. before you could turn away, she added, âi put a t-shirt of mine and some sweatshorts on the counter for you. theyâll be warmer than what you have on.â Â
you swallowed back another wave of emotion, touched by her care.Â
âthank you, es. i love you.â Â
she gave you a small, reassuring smile.Â
âi love you too. take your time, okay?â Â
you took a longer shower than you intended, letting the hot water soak into your skin and wash away the night. when you finally emerged, dressed in esmeeâs warm, oversized clothes, she was waiting for you in the kitchen with a glass of water and a packet of vitamin c on the counter. Â
âdrink,â she instructed, sliding the glass toward you. Â
you did as told, drinking slowly, your hands still trembling slightly around the cup. Â
when you finished, esmee nodded approvingly and motioned toward the her bedroom.Â
âcome on, letâs get you to bed.â Â
you followed her, exhaustion settling deep in your bones. the moment you curled up under the blankets, your body felt heavier, your eyelids drooping almost immediately. esmee crouched beside you, tucking a strand of damp hair behind your ear.Â
âget some sleep, yeah? we have training tomorrow.â Â
your stomach clenched at the mention of training. will alexia get super mad for your irresponsibility?
esmee seemed to read your mind.Â
âdonât worry about anything right now,â she said softly, âjust sleep.â Â
you nodded sluggishly, already halfway to unconsciousness. once your breathing evened out, esmee sat back on her heels, exhaling slowly. the dutch womanâs gaze flickered toward her phone. Â
should she call alexia? Â
esâ fingers hovered over the screen, debating. if she didnât tell her, alexia would find out eventually. and if you didnât say anything, esmee would. Â
she locked her phone with a sigh. Â
tomorrow. sheâd deal with it tomorrow.
fourteen hours later and training felt like a nightmare. your body moved, your legs carried you through drills, your passes were sharp and physically you were fine. however you felt destroyed mentally. you were barely holding it together. Â
the people you thought were your friends had left you and abandoned you in the middle of the night, drunk, alone, in a city that wasnât really your home. yes, youâve played at barcelona for two seasons so far but you did not grow up here. the more you thought about it, the worse it hurt and it was obvious to your team. Â
you werenât laughing at vickyâs jokes like usual. when salma hugged you, you barely hugged back.when patri nudged you playfully at one point, expecting you to counter her with one of your usual surprise tackles, but you just stared at her blankly before looking away. Â
the energy you normally carried was gone and alexia noticed, of course she did. Â
she watched you closely throughout training, her brows furrowed every time she caught the vacant look in your eyes or the way your jaw clenched like you were holding something in. she had asked you once,
"you okay?"Â
and you had lied to her, Â
"yeah, iâm fine."
esmee, stretching beside you, visibly cringed at the words. she knew the truth. she had seen you break down in her living room hours ago, your voice cracking as you admitted how scared you had been, how stupid you felt for trusting them. she didnât say anything, not yet, not until after training. Â
when the session finally ended, you trudged off the field, heading toward the locker room before anyone could pull you aside but alexia was faster. Â
ây/n,â she called, her voice leaving no room for argument. Â
you turned around, your heartbeat picking up when you saw the sharp look in her eyes, âyeah?â she stared at you for a moment, like she was waiting for you to break on your own. when you didnât, she took a slow breath and asked again, âare you okay?â Â
the same question but this time, her voice was firmer. Â
you swallowed, forcing yourself to nod.Â
âyeah. just tired.â Â
the blonde womanâs eyes narrowed slightly, but before she could press further, esmee stepped in. Â
âalexia,â esmee said, voice calm but firm. Â
alexia turned to her, raising an eyebrow. Â
esmee sighed, rubbing the back of her neck knowing that you would not tell alexia the truth out of embarrassment.Â
âcan i talk to you? privately.â Â
alexiaâs gaze flickered back to you briefly before she nodded.Â
âof course.â Â
you watched as esmee led her a few steps away, out of earshot. your stomach twisted, knowing exactly what was coming next. Â
esmee exhaled deeply before starting.Â
âsheâs not okay,â she said flatly. Â
alexia crossed her arms, âi know that. iâm just waiting for her to tell me the truth.â Â
esmee shook her head.Â
âshe wonât.â she paused before continuing, âshe went out with her college friends last night and got really drunk.â Â
alexiaâs jaw tightened. Â
âand they left her,â esmee added, voice dropping slightly, âlikeâŠliterally left her alone in a bar, drunk, with no way home.â alexiaâs expression darkened immediately, âwhat?â Â
esmee nodded grimly, âshe called me in a panic at almost two in the morning. crying, scared out of her mind. she didnât even know where she was at first. she could barely get her location to send.â Â
alexiaâs hands clenched into fists at her sides. Â
âshe is staying at my home for a while,â esmee continued, âi am making sure that she is okay, as her girlfriend and all. this morning wasnât good at all, she is messed up about it. i mean, imagine thinking these people are your friends and then they just leave you when youâre at your most vulnerable. gosh it makes me want to tackle them and make sure that my cleat hits their shin or something..â Â
alexia exhaled slowly, trying to keep her composure, âwhy didnât you guys tell me this happened?â Â
esmee hesitated, âbecause sheâs embarrassed and because she didnât want you to be disappointed in her.â Â
alexia ran a hand through her hair, exhaling sharply, âiâm not disappointed. iâm fucking furiousâŠnot at her, at those fucking smartasses.â Â
esmee nodded, âyeah. me too.â Â
alexiaâs gaze flickered back to where you were sitting on the bench, staring down at your hands, looking so small and tired. Â
âshe needs to hear it from you,â esmee said gently, âthat youâre not mad at her since she wonât believe me when i tell her.â Â
alexia nodded, setting her jaw, âiâll talk to her.â Â
esmee clapped a hand on her shoulder, âgood. and, uh⊠maybe be soft about it, yeah?â Â
alexia rolled her eyes, but there was no real annoyance there, âi can be soft, you know.â Â
esmee smirked, âmm-hmm. you better be.â Â
alexia took a deep breath and started walking toward you.
however, you were gone.
you didnât bother waiting for cooldown stretches, didnât linger in the locker room like usual, didnât stay to laugh with the team or chat about plans for the rest of the day. the second the coach dismissed you, you grabbed your bag and sprinted out, ignoring the confused voices calling after you. Â
"now what was that about?" aitana muttered, glancing at kika. Â
kika frowned, her confusion mirroring the rest of the teamâs. when she turned to esmee and alexia, her brows furrowed even further at the way they shared a lookâŠone that screamed âwe know exactly whatâs wrong.â Â
âwhat the fuck happened?â kika asked, her gaze darting between them. Â
neither alexia nor esmee answered. Â
instead, alexia let out a slow breath, eyes still fixed on the exit you had just bolted through.Â
by the time you reached your apartment, your entire body achedâŠnot from training, but from exhaustion, from the emotional weight sitting heavy in your chest. you barely registered the way your hands trembled as you unlocked the door, throwing your bag onto the couch before heading straight to the bathroom. Â
the second the hot water hit your skin, you broke. Â
sobs wracked through you, the sound bouncing off the shower tiles as you clutched your chest, feeling like you were falling apart. you had already blocked them, every single one of them on every social media platform, and on your phone, making sure that you cut them out of your life. however, it didnât make you feel any better because no matter how much you tried to erase them, the damage was done. Â
they had left you drunk, alone, and vulnerable. you couldâve been hurt. you couldâve been taken advantage of. the more you thought about it, the more sick you felt. were they laughing about it now? did they think it was funny? did they plan to do that to you? Â
you squeezed your eyes shut, pressing your forehead against the shower wall, trying to drown the thoughts out with the sound of the water. however, nothing helped. by the time you ran out of tears, your chest physically ached. you dried yourself off, threw on a pair of pajamas, and crawled into bed. Â
it was barely 5 p.m., but you didnât care. last night had given you almost no sleep, and all you wanted was to escape into unconsciousness but just as your body started to relax, the doorbell rang rapidly⊠over and over. Â
your stomach dropped. Â
no. you squeezed your eyes shut, willing whoever it was to just go away but the ringing didnât stop. with a heavy, exhausted sigh, you dragged yourself out of bed, pulling your hoodie tighter around you as you made your way to the door. Â
the second you opened it, your heart nearly stopped. Â
your girlfriend. alexia. kika. Â
fuck. Â
you swallowed, gripping the door handle tightly, too drained to even process the why behind their presence but without a word, you stepped aside, letting them in. Â
you barely had time to turn before alexia was on you, wrapping you in a tight embrace, her arms locking around your shoulders. Â
âwhy would they do this to you?â her voice cracked slightly, thick with emotion. Â
your chest clenched. your breath hitched. and just like thatâŠyou broke all over again. a choked sob escaped your throat as you clung to alexia, your fingers digging into the back of her shirt as you cried into her shoulder. Â
âi- i donât know,â you hiccupped, shaking your head against her, âi donât know what i did to them⊠why they hate me?â Â
âthey donât hate you,â kika interrupted firmly, gently pulling you toward the couch, âtheyâre just terrible and evil people. and you did nothing to deserve that.â Â
you let yourself sink into the cushions, your body feeling heavy from exhaustion and heartbreak. kika sat beside you, rubbing soothing circles into your back, while esmee⊠who had been quiet up until now since she moved beside you, wrapped an arm around your shoulders while giving light kisses on your shoulder blade. Â
âthat was maybe the scariest moment of my life,â you admitted quietly, voice hoarse from crying, âi was so drunk⊠i didnât know where i was⊠and they just left me. i shouldâve just stayed my ass home.â Â
esmee squeezed you tighter, her warmth comforting against your shaking body. âyouâre safe now,â she murmured, âthey donât get to hurt you anymore.â Â
alexia, who had taken a seat on the coffee table in front of you, reached forward, gently tucking a strand of damp hair behind your ear. âlisten to me,â she said, her voice steady despite the storm of emotions in her eyes. âyou are not trash. you are not disposable. they used you because youâre kind, because you give without expecting anything in return and thatâs not a flaw, y/n. thatâs what makes you, you. you just have to learn how to set boundaries..â Â
you sniffled, looking down at your lap, âit doesnât feel like a good thing right now.â Â
alexiaâs fingers tilted your chin up, forcing you to meet her gaze.Â
you swallowed hard, more tears welling in your eyes, âbut how do i stop feeling like this?â Â
âtime,â kika said softly, still rubbing your back, âand us. weâre not letting you go through this alone.â Â
esmee kissed the top of your head, âno more shitty friends. you have the team, and you have me.â Â
you exhaled shakily, nodding, even though your chest still ached. Â
kika stood suddenly, stretching before heading toward the kitchen, âiâm making you tea. you need something warm in you.â Â
âcabinet above the sink,â you mumbled, sniffling again. Â
âgot it,â kika called back. Â
alexia stayed in front of you, her fingers absentmindedly playing with your hair as she continued to study you, as if trying to will away all of your pain just by being there. Â
âi shouldâve noticed sooner,â alexia murmured, voice laced with guilt. Â
you shook your head quickly.Â
âitâs not your fault, alexia.â Â
she clenched her jaw, clearly not convinced. but instead of arguing, she simply sighed and leaned back slightly. Â
âyouâre staying with esmee for while,â she decided firmly. Â
âyes! you might as well move in with me at this point since weâve been talking about it. i donât want you to be alone right now either...â esmee interrupted before you could object.Â
you nodded weakly, whispering while looking at your girlfriend, âokay.â Â

MY ONLY ONE Esmee brugts x Black reader
Summary : fans put pieces together and find out not only are you dating esmee but you're the one who does her game day braids đ
Contains: Esmee x black!reader, Fluff, Pina braids slander because tf not
A/n: Thank you so much for requesting this đ«¶đż I enjoyed every bit of writing for this fic, and I hope you enjoy reading this if you have any other esmee requests or for any other player send them my way feedback are always appreciated and happy reading.
You and esmee have recently been dropping little hints about your relationship on social media. It all started when es posted a little story about your date that included a scenery pic.
You on the other hand, took it up a notch with postings you and esmee holding hands nothing to crazy, just enough to have people sitted for a soft lunch.
The second time you guys posted again was at the men's home game where your other teammates had accompany you.
Es had given you her hoodie because you felt a little cold and you made a story post about her jester. Which was where fans started connecting the dots because esmee had posted a photo dump.
In one of the pictures, you guys had taken a group photo, esmee still had her jacket in it. And your story of having es jacket on was stil up.
Everyone was either theorizing about the both of you or trying to convince themselves esmee was just helping out her forgetful teammates.
But something that blew it all up was a video that vicky took of you braiding esme hair a few days before a game. Confirming all the rumors about you too with the very accidental video.
"How come you only braid esmee hair before we have games". You heard a voice say making you look lose concentration on what you we're doing."Because one she's my girlfriend and two you never asked me to braid your hair, I mean you and pina share the same braider so your point?". You told the curly haired girl as you continued braiding not noticing she was recording.
"Aye! You can't blame me for sharing braiding info Claudia wouldn't leave me alone until I told her". You heard her say as esmee was laughing at her.
"Not our fault you have a weak backbone". Your girlfriend said moving the posting of her head onto your lap.
"Es stay stil for me I'm almost done". You told her, leaving a kiss on her cheek, unaware that vicky was stil filming.
"You're both so disgustingly inlove makes me want to puke". Vicky's voice echoes through the room making an exit to leave.
"You'll understand love one day, Vick." You yelled out to the younger girl as she left.
Vicky wasn't even paying attention when she posted the video as she had already left her phone in the locker room, not paying attention to what she had posted.
It wasn't until a break was called that pina came up to your group that consisted of you, esmee, vicky, salma and cata.
"Why would you guys say that about me and vicky you galdy gave me the braider info I did not pressure you to giving me". Pina said frankly looking annoyed.
"What did vicky post?". You had asked the younger girl looking quite confused. That when it hit vicky she had accidentally posted it public instead of close friends.
"I can explain it was meant for close friends I didn't know it got posted for the whole world, you can blame ona for rushing me you know". She said trying to defend herself.
"I don't care about it being posted you just ruined my soft lunch ugh". You told the group of friends.
"There's no point in hiding it again, baby we can just hard lunch I do have some photos of us that I've always wanted to post." You heard your girlfriend say.
"You guys problem is fixed but what about vicky badmouthing me to the internet". Pina said now irritated at the fact that people are going to think she harassed the younger girl for braiding info.
"You can start by stop getting them done, because people are calling you Lauren james knock off of the uwcl." You told pina making the group of girls around you laugh as you and esmee walked away from them.
âYouâll still braid my hair for me rightâ. You heard Vicky asking. "Si Si, you better get back to practice before your guardian Alexia comes and drag you away.

Sleepover
Alexia Putellas x Mila x Esmee Brugts x Kika Nazareth
Mila sat on the couch, legs swinging as she hugged her plush lion close. Her big green eyes sparkled with excitement as her mothers finished getting ready for their long-awaited date night.
"You'll have so much fun at Alexia's, carino," Mapi assured, crouching to tuck a stray curl behind Milaâs ear.
Mila pouted. "I wanted to go to Tia Caroline," she mumbled, her arms crossing dramatically.
Ingrid chuckled, ruffling her daughter's hair. "Tia Caroline is busy tonight, but you get to have a sleepover with Esmee and Kika too."
At that, Milaâs face lit up. "Really?!"
"Yes," Mapi smirked, exchanging a look with Ingrid. "But you have to behave."
Mila nodded vigorously. Well, as much as a four-year-old could promise such a thing.
---
A short drive later, they arrived at Alexiaâs house. Mapi rang the doorbell, and they barely had time to register the noises coming from inside before the door flung open.
"KIKA!" A blur of excitement rushed toward them as Kika greeted them, practically bouncing in place. Behind her, Esmee grinned before both of them swooped down and grabbed Mila.
"Hi, hi, hi!" Mila giggled as her two âauntiesâ lifted her and ran inside.
"Mila, behave!" Ingrid called after her, but the moment had already passed.
Mapi chuckled, watching Alexia step into the doorway, already looking overwhelmed. "Good luck," she teased.
"Yeah, thanks for that," Alexia deadpanned before shaking her head. "I love having Mila over, though sheâs probably better behaved than the other two."
As if on cue, a loud crash echoed from inside.
"Everything is fine!" Esmee called, her voice suspiciously cheerful.
Alexia groaned, rubbing her temples. "You two should go before they destroy my house."
Ingrid stifled a laugh, thanking Alexia once more before she and Mapi left for their dinner, while Alexia braced herself for a very long night.
---
It didnât take long before things got out of control.
Alexia walked into the kitchen only to find Mila sitting on the counter, happily munching on snacks that were meant for later.
"MilaâŠ" Alexia sighed, placing her hands on her hips. "Those were for movie night."
Mila pouted, her lower lip jutting out.
"Don't give me that look," Alexia said, already losing the battle. "Fine, just⊠go play in the living room. But no running!"
Esmee grabbed Milaâs hand. "Come on, letâs go!"
The three girls disappeared, leaving Alexia exhaling deeply. "Why did I agree to this?"
She ordered pizza and went to check on them, only to find⊠nothing. No sign of them.
"Girls?" she called out. Silence.
She checked the bathroom. Empty.
Then, a rustling noise.
She turned toward the closet. Slowly opening the door, she found Mila sitting inside, eyes wide.
Alexia sighed. "Mila, what are youâ"
"I found her!" Kika suddenly shrieked behind her.
Mila huffed. "You ruined my hiding spot, Ale!"
Before Alexia could respond, Mila tagged Esmee and bolted, the game instantly turning into a high-energy chase around the house. They leaped over the couch, dodged furniture, and at one point, Esmee stumbled into the bookshelf, sending books crashing to the floor.
Alexia massaged her temples. "Iâm never babysitting again."
Just then, the doorbell rang.
Finally. Pizza.
She barely got the food to the kitchen before the girls swarmed in, each loudly debating their pizza choices. Once everyone settled with their slices, they finally calmed down, curling up on the couch for a Disney movie.
Alexia sighed in relief. "Finally, peace."
Little did she know, the night was far from over.
---
One movie turned into two, and at some point, Alexia dozed off. Big mistake.
Mila, eyes twinkling with mischief, reached into her bag and pulled out colorful pens. She turned to Esmee and Kika. "Help me!"
Snickering, they joined in, drawing on Alexiaâs face as she slept. Swirls, hearts, mustachesâMila giggled as she proudly admired their masterpiece.
Satisfied, she turned to Esmee and Kika, both dozing off too. Mila smirked. Time for more fun.
She crept upstairs, looking for something exciting. In Alexiaâs bedroom, she found a walk-in closetâboring. Then, she spotted the bedside table.
At home, she wasnât allowed to open drawers in her parents' room. But Alexia never told her not to.
Opening the first one, she frowned. Weird-looking things she didnât understand. Not interesting.
The second drawer, however⊠handcuffs!
Her eyes sparkled. She had seen these in moviesâbad people got them! A perfect prank formed in her little head.
Giggling, she tiptoed back downstairs and carefully clasped one cuff around Esmeeâs wrist and the other around Kikaâs. She giggled again. This was the best idea ever!
After brushing her teeth (because her mama always told her to), she snuggled into the guest bed with her plush lion, falling asleep almost immediately.
---
Alexia woke up groggy, blinking at the ceiling. Something felt⊠off. She sat up, rubbing her faceâthen froze.
Why did her hand feel⊠painted?
Then, groans from the couch.
Esmee and Kika stirred, glancing at each other. Confusion turned to shock.
"Why are weâWHAT?!" Kika yanked her wrist, realizing she was handcuffed to Esmee.
"What the hell?!" Esmee tugged back.
Alexia groaned. "No wayâŠ"
Just then, Mila trotted down the stairs, all smiles. "Good morning!" she chirped sweetly, completely innocent.
Alexia pointed at her. "You. What did you do?!"
Mila just giggled. "I pranked you!"
Esmee and Kika groaned, still struggling with the handcuffs, while Alexia dragged a hand down her face, realizing she needed to hide certain items better.
---
Later that day, Alexia brought Mila home.
Ingrid opened the door, and before she could even say anything, Mila burst inside. "Mama! I had the best night ever!"
Mapi, hearing this, came over. "Did you now?"
Mila nodded excitedly, running to tell Mapi everything.
Meanwhile, Ingrid took one look at Alexiaâs exhausted face and raised an eyebrow. "What happened?"
Alexia sighed, stepping inside. "Your daughter handcuffed Esmee and Kika together."
Mapi burst out laughing. "That's my girl!"
Alexia groaned. "Yeah, well, no more sleepovers with all three of them together." Then she added, âAnd Iâm putting certain things out of reach from now on.â
Ingrid chuckled, patting Alexiaâs back. "At least you survived."
"Barely," Alexia muttered.
But as chaotic as it was, she couldnât be mad. After all, she adored Mila. Even if she was an absolute menace.
