YES WIGGLY RHHAGS
Favorite Thing: i LOVE how he has his little weird ass baby voice he does, but his real voice like demonic and shit?? Idk you can hear it super well in the cast recording of made in america when he says “you!!” and i think it’s also “we dont give a shit about ur phone!!” LORD ITS SO COOL TO ME
Least Favorite Thing: Jon was low key scary as him in npmd. i think it was just the bright green eyebrows and his bright blue eyes but i almost pissed my pants on the SPOT!!!
brOTP: uhh idk I like his dynamic with Pokey as the older brothers in my eyes :3 they’re so silly
OTP: ummm nothing?? i dont ship any of the lords rlly
nOTP: wiggly x any of his siblings,,,, noo,,,,
Random Headcanon: Ik some ppl dont like ALL the jon matteson characters being related but this is super funny to me 😭😭 the idea of the jon matteson family tree characters but wiggly’s not apart of the family, he’s a god they all worship. Or I’ve seen one where he was like Zeus and used to fuck around with humans (NOT MINORS THO 😭) so hes like a suuuuuper old ancestor.
Song I Associate With Them: Heh,,,, the hit song Made In America,,,,

Price for the Ask Game, please! Thank you for the art and the love.
The man himself 💰💰💰
Favorite thing about them: His bucket hat. I love it when characters have an item that almost symbolizes them, and everytime I see a bucket hat I always think of Price and the hat I know he is unhealthily attached too
Least favorite thing about them: it's so petty and random, but I hate that his eyes are blue because Price feels like someone who would have forest green eyes 😭
Favorite line: Any line where his voice gets all low and rumble >>>
BrOTP: Laswell!! She's his oldest and closest friend!
OTP: Nikprice, GazPrice, and recently I've been looking into PriceGhost (and Price x ME)
NOTP: I'm so sorry but PriceSoap 😭 Also, not the biggest fan of KatePrice, but I don't outright hate it.
Random headcanon: He and Laswell DID get married for a mission, and he likes to refer to her as his mean ex wife when she pisses him off
Unpopular opinion: he's a bottom/sub I fear
Song I associate with them: Street Spirit by Radiohead!!

four for the character questions?
OK OK OK OK FOUR
(I'm so tempted to make this about the Colors too, and do like 5 different ones (one for Four, one for each Color, but we'll see how it goes)
favorite thing about them
I can't pick between character design and personality sooooo
I really like the tunic, I know it's a color pallet nightmare and shouldn't work, but it makes him visually stand out against the greens and blues of most of the chain, which I think is fun! (also pretty colors) (and smol)
From a personality/characteristics view point, I really like the complexities with his character! It's really difficult to see him as a 2d character, because of the Colors, which I think is really fun! Stick four different, but still somewhat flat sometimes (as is their point kinda), characters together and you get the real humanity of a fully fleshed out person unavoidable in the character!
least favorite thing about them
Hmmmmm, this is difficult because I love the little guy, but I'd have to sayyyyyyyy... drawing the bangs/headband thingey? from a purely selfish point of view, because I do like how they look, and it's a fun way to differentiate character designs, they're just so hard to drawwwww
favorite line
Not really a line, but when he just fucking cackles in Dawn pt4 when Wars says "I think you ought to practice some teamwork. It could use some improvement."
brOTP
hmmmmmm, I'm very fond of Four and Dot's platonic relationship, but I'll get into that more in a later section soooooooo
In the chain at least I think Four and Wind are cool because of the underestimation bondings be it because of age, or babyface/height, or just being the small ones! Although, Four and Sky is also a really nice dynamic... AND the Four and Legend one is real fun, both because their personalities work very well together, and the whole Palace of the Four Sword angst potential >:3
Honestly I could speak towards any sort of within the chain relationship and can't pick just one :(((((
OTP
Four and Shadow, I am nothing if not predictable (more specifically Vidow because of the manga, but BlackSmith (or whatever the Four and Shadow ship name is) is fun too!). They're just adorable and horrible okie? :3
nOTP
I'm just generally not a big fan of romantic Four and Dot, no disrespect to people who do like it, but I think they're better as besties! Like, I think MC!Link at least was very young (and FS(A)!Link was also fairly young I think, but more of an early-middle teen than like 8 or 9), so romance was probably the last thing on his mind, just "I gotta save my best friend!"
And! They've known each other since they were children because their parents were friends and Hyrule Town is a fairly small town, no? This could be argued towards a friends-to-lovers plot line technically, but I just automatically file "known each other as kids" under "a subsection of siblings" because of my own experiences (and the aroaceness) sooooooooooo... yeah...
random headcanon
Colors: I think Red and Blue bake stuff together a lot and give it out to the rest of the people of Hyrule Town for fun, or maybe they open a bakery! (this is all after the events of lu, or before I guess)
Four specifically: I really like the idea that he keeps a journal/diary. Writes down everything type journal. This is a fairly popular head cannon I think (maybe????) so for an out of left field one have... uhhhh...
He goes crazy for raspberries. Sure why not, that feels like it weirdly works for some reason
unpopular opinion
I don't think I really have that many unpopular opinions (unless something else here is that) buuuuuuut, maybe something about him being at least a little morally grey? Like, I get heros and all that jazz, but like... let him be at least a little morally grey hmmm?
I guess that's not really unpopular, I just see "hero character is good' and think, how about no, not exactly, and for him it works!
song i associate with them
Okay, I don't have one for Four, couldn't find one in the "all o' it" playlist, but I did find one for Vidow so I hope this suffices:
Little Soldiers by The Crane Wives
(I am nothing if not a puppet for the Little Soldiers Renchantyn propaganda, and it has only made me realise it kinda works for these two as well)
favorite picture of them
As you've probably assumed by now, I cannot pick just one sooooo:
Tumblr media
He's so little, so very smol, and the overhead pov just makes It so much more apparent hehhe (also angy little guy)
Tumblr media
This one is just hilarious due to the context, another iteration of little guy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and these two because they are new and we all love them :P
(all art credit to Jojo over at @/linkeduniverse of course)
--------------------
This was really fun thank you so much for sending it in! :D

Would you be willing to do the most recent headcanon list you reblogged for each of the colors?
I already did Red but I'll do the other four here
Sexuality Headcanon:
Green - Bisexual & Polyamorous (this will be a trend)
Blue - Pansexual & Polyamorous
Vio - Bisexual & Demi-romantic/Polyamorous
Shadow - Pansexual & Polyamorous
Gender Headcanon:
Green - Cis male
Blue - Cis male
Vio - Genderfluid, sometimes trans (again, modern AUs)
Shadow - Genderfluid/nonbinary what is a gender he doesn't care to know
A ship I have with said character:
Green/Vaati i LOVE hero/villain dynamics, they are golden retriever/grumpy drama king to me, their relationship is "me + the bad bitch i pulled by being effortlessly kind/charming/funny/humble/gay" instagram captions.
Blue/Everyone. The secret to Blue is that he actually cares SO MUCH, but if anyone calls him out on it he will die on the spot. This is tragic and inevitable (he is bad at hiding it)
Vidow is my ultimate OTP, they are so fascinating to me i want to put them in a blender set it to high and then watch it go nuts. They are toxic and co dependent and would kill for each other and also kill each other too. 100/10 ship I'm a Vidow apologist and i will die on this hill
Is it cheating to say i ship all of them together? They can be one big polycule as a treat
A BROTP I have with said character:
Green and Shadow. Unstoppable force (Shadow) meets immovable object (Green). They have oldest sibling/youngest sibling energy
Blue and Green is also good, they have a bromance unlike anything the world has ever seen. They are always pushing each other to be better and also doing the dumbest stunts for the vine
Vio and Vaati would be infodump pals. They started talking about magic theory at 10 in the morning over breakfast and are still talking about it at 1 am the next day
A NOTP I have with said character:
Literally the only character i can think of is Tingle.
A random headcanon:
Green - my most consistent hc across all AUs/canon is that he has head to toe freckles.
Blue - given a modern AU, Blue joins theater as a way to deal with his anger issues. Not only does it work, but he ends up with a passion for the performing arts as a result
Vio - he has crippling anxiety and is a chronic over thinker. He needs Xanax and a nap.
Shadow - given a modern AU, Shadow is the lead guitar/singer/screamer in a rock band (Sleeping With Sirens, Pierce the Veil, AS IT IS aesthetic/sound), and he can also play almost any instrument that he picks up. He has a huge collection of instruments.
General Opinion over said character:
Green - the funniest thing I've ever seen is people saying that Green wouldn't cheat in a fight RE: my "who would win in a fight" polls and like you're all valid and all OBJECTIVELY wrong, he cheats in the fight against Vio at Death Mountain. He may have morals but he is not lawful good
Blue - I miss him. Where are the blue centric fanfics. Come back from the war please. Someone put this idiot in situations
Vio - perfect amzing beautiful showstopping spectacular always original awful awful man his veins are filled with anxiety instead of blood and i want him dissected by the fandom immediately
Shadow - scrunkly. Shaped. I want to hug him and never let go

Directed by:   Gonzalo Amat is directing his first NCIS: Los Angeles episode.
Guest stars of note: Ava McCoy as Jordyn Rountree returns from “Perception” in season 13, Ashley Sharpe Chestnut as FBI Special Agent Summer Morehurst returns from "Let it Burn", both Kavi Ramachandran Ladnier as Agent Shyla Dahr and Duncan Campbell as Agent Castor return from “Shame”, Milissa Sears as Leah Novak returns from “Genesis” in season 13, David DeSantos as Anthony Beltran.
Our heroes:   Keep droning on about Drona.
What important things did we learn about: Callen:  In a roundabout way, asks Sam to be his best man. Sam:   In a roundabout way, says yes t being Callen’s best man. Kensi:  Absent. Deeks:   See Kensi. Fatima:  Hacks into the Drona files with Shyla. Rountree:  Willing to be shot at to protect Sam and Fatima. Kilbride:  Leaving after work to see his son.
What not so important things did we learn about: Callen:  Worshipped by Castor. Sam:   Thinks Castor getting knocked out twice in three months is a bad look. Kensi:   See Deeks. Deeks:   Absent. Fatima:   Likes Rountree with Summer. Rountree:  Runs after school buses, bad guys and through sand castles. Kilbride:   Hired Shyla because Shyla remembers everything.
Where in the world is Henrietta Lange?  Seemingly in a small town on the border of Turkey and Syria warning Drona subjects that they are in danger.
Who's down with OTP:  Kensi and Deeks are off doing family things.  Rountree and Summer seems to be doing well.
Who's down with BrOTP:  Callen popped the question – will Sam be his best man?  Callen has a side buddy in Castor.
Fashion review:  Callen wears a green, blue and yellow plaid shirt.  A long-sleeve black tee for Sam.  Fatima wears a tan leather field coat over a black turtleneck.  A pale purple fleece sweatshirt for Rountree.  Kilbride has on a dark brown three-piece suit with a white dress shirt and a brown and gold tie.
Music: Not today!
Any notable cut scene:  Not today!
Quote:  Shyla:  “Oh, uh, your ride to the airport just pulled up outside.” Kilbride:  “I thought I told you to cancel that flight.” Shyla:  “Did you? Oh, I-I don't remember.” Kilbride:  “You remember everything.  That's why I hired you.” Shyla:  “Do you still want me to cancel it?  Bear in mind, it is nonrefundable and I know how much you hate wasting money.  Not to mention missing an opportunity to see your son after all these years...” Kilbride:  “All right, all right, I'm leaving.  Remind me to fire you when I get back.”
Anything else:  A gentleman is out walking his dog in a small park area surrounded by businesses.  The dog, Rebel, starts barking and jumps into a bush.  Returning to his owner, Rebel gifts the man a dead squirrel, which was not on the man’s breakfast meal plan.  The man’s phone rings – it is an older, flip phone.  A text message reads “DHRISHTADYUMNA”.  The man breaks the phone in half and tosses his phone, causing Rebel to play fetch.  While the dog is away, a person wearing a ski mask shoots the dog owner in the back of the dead.  Rebel returns to his fallen owner and sits right next to him because dogs are the best.
At a table by a coffee shop, Fatima, Rountree, Jordyn and FBI Agent Summer Morehurst are chatting.  Fatima is teasing Rountree for yelling “Federal Agents” as they were trailing a suspect.  The suspect ran (because he’s obviously watched the show).  “Tree” caught the guy after a 10-minute chase.  Jordyn is all in for the Rountree mocking.  Rountree always liked to show off how fast he was.  He’d forget to give Jordyn her school lunch on purpose and then run alongside the school bus to give it to her like Keanu Reeves.  And she hated his lunches – avocados and bean sprouts.  She was 14 and didn’t want to eat that stuff back then.  Summer says she’s not interested in eating it now.  Rountree says it all worked out for the best.  Jordyn aced her MCATs and is on her way to medical school.  Summer starts mocking “Treefontaine” when she gets a call – FBI wants to see her.  Jordyn is off to class as well.
Shyla is giving a not paying attention Admiral Kilbride notice about a meeting with his British and Australian counterparts.  Still not paying attention.  She would be willing to go.  Still not paying attention.  Kensi and Deeks are out because Rosa’s aunt had a stroke.  Still not paying attention.  Office minutiae like the security system doing a reboot and Agent Castor’s performance review aren’t capturing the Admiral’s attention either.   Shyla mentions a radioactive group of pubescent turtles foiling and armed robbery at the Santa Monica Pier and nothing.  Shyla sees a suitcase and realizes that he’s flying up to San Francisco to see his son.  She will arrange transport to the airport at 7PM but he wants to leave at 7:30PM – he’s not much of an airport guy.  With spring break, Shyla recommends the earlier departure time but the Admiral promises her he’ll be fine.  Eventually he relents but warns Shyla that if he is stuck with a “posse of frat boys you will never hear the end of it.”  She thinks that would be a great story.  As Shyla leaves, the Admiral wants a BOLO on the turtles and their giant rat leader – can’t have mutant vigilantes running around.
Sam walks in to the bullpen, greeting Callen.  On Sam’s desk is a printout of a man in a tuxedo.  Callen explains it is the tuxedo Anna, sorry, he and Anna, want Sam to wear to the wedding.  Sam thinks he can dress himself.  Callen brings up Anna’s, his and Anna’s color palate for the wedding.  The tux is just for Sam.  “Is this your way of asking me to be your best man?”  Callen thought Sam being the best man was a given.  Sam’s not so sure.  Callen has been spending quality time with Castor – they had some drinks and dinner after Castor was knocked out by Miraslava.  Sam notes that Castor worships Callen, even dresses like him.  Castor arrives, dressed similarly to Callen.    Callen breaks down and asks if Sam would be his best man.  Of course, Sam replies but he hates the tux.  Callen agrees.
Shyla walks down the stairs.  Callen asks if they have a case.  She replies “you tell me” as she brings them up to Ops.  Once in Ops, she launches all the security protocols that lock the door, shut the shutters and turn down the lights.  She was sent two encrypted files through a DOD top secret/special compartmented information channel, JWICS.  The first file is the driver’s license for the man the park – John Jenkins.  He’s the CEO for a software company.  The second file is the ID card of an FBI Analyst, Patrick Hertel.  Both men were found dead that morning.  Hertel was killed in his backyard, Jenkins in the park.  There were numbers with the file – eight, 11 and 22.  Maybe August 11, 2022.
Callen isn’t interested in figuring out what eight, 11 and 22 mean.  JWICS files are sent by known people.  Who sent the file?  Shyla doesn’t know, it came from a SCIF on the border of Turkey and Syria, the town of Al-Rai.  It was Hetty’s last known location, who else would send cryptic clues.  Shyla seems excited –“are you talking about who I think you’re talking about?”  Callen confirms – Hetty.
In the Admiral’s office, Callen makes the case that to Kilbride that the JWICS file came from Hetty.  The Admiral wants to know why she would send the names for two men and some random numbers.  It isn’t an urgent message, it is a top secret butt dial according to the Admiral.  He’s checked – the SCIF was closed months ago.  Callen thinks Hetty could have routed the JWICS through the SCIF but if she did that, why didn’t she identify herself the Admiral asks.  Maybe Hetty thinks JWICS is compromised according to Callen.  More being a pain in the ass according to Kilbride.  Callen wants to investigate the victims to see if there is anything there.  Since Hetty bailed Kilbride out with the Simon Williams case, Callen can investigate as long as he stays in his lane – stay away from the official investigations.
Fatima and Rountree show up at Hertel’s home, which is covered with police tape.  They start to work on a story to get involved with the case when they see Summer working the case.  She comes to see Rountree and Fatima, who think there is a connection between Hertel’s killing and an NCIS investigation into John Jenkins.   Summer starts asking questions and Rountree drops “national security”.  Since Rountree and Fatima can’t share their info on Jenkins, which is none other than Callen and Sam are investigating what Hetty sent, Summer can’t working with them.  When they can share, so can she.  Hertel is FBI – they’re working for one of their own.
At the park area, Callen learns from LAPD that all the cameras were down due to routine maintenance when Jenkins was walking his dog.  Callen also shares that Summer is working the Hertel case.  Sam thinks it was a robbery – no wallet, no keys, no phone and the killer took away the shell casings.  LAPD found half the phone in Rebel’s mouth.  Callen gives Shyla a call.  She has not found a link between Jenkins and Hertel yet.
Looking into Jenkins, his start up tech company has one employee – Jenkins.  They haven’t created a product in the last five years.  Jenkins and his company have been doing very well, despite offering no products.  He’s likely laundering money.  Asked about family, Shyla tells Callen and Sam that Jenkins was adopted and his adopted parents are long dead.  Turning back to the crime scene, if the dog found one half of the phone, Sam would like to see if he could find the other half.
Back at the FBI crime scene, Rountree sees an older couple arrive and go right under the police tape.  Fatima is on the phone.  Rountree calls for Summer, who is a bit embarrassed.  She asks about the older couple – they are Hertel’s adopted parents.  An arriving Fatima, who was on the phone hears adopted and notes that Jenkins was also adopted.  Summer isn’t impressed until Fatima tells her both men were shot in the back of the head to make it look like a robbery.  Summer never told them how Hertel was killed.   NCIS is now part of the FBI crime scene.
Callen and Sam talk about Callen setting a date but Anna is giving him time to find Hetty.  Sam hopes this is the case that gets them to Hetty.  Callen doesn’t believe that.  If Hetty wanted to be found, Hetty would be found.  She would tell them where to find her.  Callen wants to get married and it is unfair to make Anna wait so long.  Sam is looking forward to his best man speech – he has a lot of wisdom to share.  Callen thinks he’s heard most of Sam’s wisdom but the wisdom is for Anna, who needs to know what she’s really getting herself into.  Callen is having second thoughts about Castor.  The dog finds the other part of the phone.
As the Admiral arrives in Ops, Shyla has an update about eight, 11 and 22.  Both Jenkins and Hertel went through the LA foster care system.  They are both single, in their 40’s and both had government jobs.  Hertel is with the FBI, Jenkins is an NSA Analyst.  He’s not in most common databases for the NSA.  Shyla learned about his NSA role through some friends in Washington.  Shyla is about to call this in to Callen and Sam but the Admiral wants her to way.  He needs her to pull some files instead.
Hertel was watering his plants when his killer walked up behind him and fired one shot into his head.  There was no cartridges left behind, just like the Jenkins crime scene.  Summer apologizes for stonewalling NCIS.  Fatima says they would have likely done the same if the roles were reversed.  Summer doesn’t understand the connection between the two killings.
Fatima gets a call from Shyla, who asks if Hertel has a birthmark on his back.  A little reluctantly, Fatima asks Summer to pull up Hertel’s shirt.  There is a rather large birthmark on his back.  The Admiral, with Shyla, wants her to call Callen.   When Callen answers, he starts a sit-rep for Shyla but the Admiral stops things.  Eight, 11 and 22 are people, not numbers.  Hertel and Jenkins were eight and 22 from the Drona Project, “your alma mater Agent Callen.”  Callen has a flashback to his time with Drona.
The Hertel-Jenkins cases are now joint FBI-NCIS investigations.  Shyla is told by Kilbride to share everything they have on the case except Hetty’s involvement.  Since Hetty’s involvement was speculation anyway, Shyla wasn’t going to share it.  With subjects eight and 22 accounted for, who is subject 11?  That is Leah Novak, who Callen contacted in the prior year.  Callen is trying to find Novak now.
Callen calls Leah who doesn’t want to talk to him.  She is walking through a really sketchy looking indoor parking lot.  There is a team of masked men following her.  Sam tries to get Leah to listen to him but the masked men open fire.  Shyla, who was monitoring the phone call is able to trace Leah’s location to a Mid-City parking garage.
In the garage, Callen and Sam find an empty shopping bag with wrapped up money inside.  Callen sees a badly wounded Leah, who says “14” before losing consciousness.
Returning to Ops, Fatima and Rountree are told by Shyla that Leah is in surgery.  With someone targeting Drona subject, Callen could be in danger.  Rountree disagrees – Hetty would have warned Callen in her JWICS communications if he was in trouble.  The Admiral arrives, warning Rountree not to read too much into anything Hetty does.  There is another Drona subject who may be danger – number 14.  The Admiral wants Shyla to cancel is flight to San Francisco to see his son.  As he leaves, Shyla tells Rountree and Fatima to go to the gadget area to study Jenkins’s phone.  When she knows who number 14 is, she’ll update them.
There was brass left behind at the Leah’s shooting which means she likely hit at least two of her assailants.  Callen found a go-bag in Leah’s car with water, MREs and a satellite phone.  She knew she was in danger.  Sam thinks the same of Jenkins – that’s likely why he tossed his phone.  Callen thinks Pembrook is behind the killings – Callen found him and is now cleaning up what’s left behind of Drona.
While Rountree is sweet talking Summer, Fatima is working on Jenkins’s phone.  Once in, Rountree is off his phone and working with Fatima.  The “DHRISHTADYUMNA” text message is the name of a Hindu warrior who killed his teacher Drona.  There are contacts in the phone – Hertel and Leah Novak are there.  So is an Anthony Beltran, a former Army Ranger turned history professor.   Fatima sends his address to Callen and Sam.
As Callen and Sam pull up outside of Beltran’s home, Beltran is putting a duffle bag into his trunk.  When Callen and Sam try to speak to Beltran, Beltran runs.  Callen makes things worse by yelling “federal agents” while Sam gets in his car to cut Beltran off.  Beltran starts shooting at Callen, who promises they are not there to hurt Beltran.  “Leah sent us.”  Beltran is talked into putting his gun down.  Callen introduces himself as Special Agent Grisha Callen, subject 17.  He assures Beltran he’s safe.
In the boat shed, Beltran is in interrogation while Callen and Sam in the main room.  The duffle bag in Beltran’s truck had MREs, cash, burner phones.  He also got the same text message sent to Jenkins before Jenkins was killed.  Callen wonders who sent the text message and Hetty earns a message.  Callen isn’t pleased – this is Hetty training an agent, people are being murdered.
Shyla pops up on the screen.  There was one vehicle seen on security/traffic cams at the Jenkins/Hertel/Leah shootings.  Backtracking with Kaleidoscope, Shyla traced the vehicle to a building downtown. Rountree and Fatima are going to the building and Sam will meet them.  Callen wonders why he’s not going but Sam wants answers from Beltran.  Callen is the best person to get the answers.
Callen starts to question Beltran, who won’t sit on the wrong side of the table right away, wanting to stand instead.  Beltran eventually sits.  As an alibi, Beltran says he was home when Jenkins and Hertel were killed.  Callen asks about the text message.  Beltran was preparing a lesson – he teaches ancient history – and missed the message when it was sent.  Once he saw it, however, he called Leah.  Leah told him about Jenkins and Hertel.  Beltran put his phone in his garbage disposal, packed his things and was going to hit the road when Callen and Sam drove up.
Beltran thought Callen and Sam were working for “him” – Howard Pembrook.  Beltran shows Callen scars on his arm from Pembrook’s abuse.   Jenkins, Hertel, Leah and Beltran started working together a year ago, after Callen told Leah about Pembrook.  They wanted to take him down with lawsuits.  There was talk about bringing Callen in but the men in the group were angry Callen lied to Leah.  Beltran believes Pembrook found out about them and now he’s having them killed.  Beltran wants to see Leah – they are “very close.”
With Summer’s FBI team 30-minutes out, Sam, Rountree and Fatima in tactical gear go into the downtown building.  The vehicle has not returned to the location.  This is their best chance to scope out the building.  Sam breaks down the door.  It is a warehouse with huge computer servers, a desk, file cabinets.  While Fatima and Shyla try to get into the server, Rountree finds a photo of Callen on the wall from when he was in Pembrook’s garden.
Callen shows Beltran the photo and explains he was trying to confront Pembrook about the past.  Pembrook was fine.  Beltran is interested in what was in the building where Sam, Fatima and Rountree are.  He’s also furious at Callen for going to see Pembrook.  Everything bad that’s happened started when Callen met Pembrook.  If this was true, Callen asks, why didn’t Pembrook go after him?  Beltran talks about the lawsuit being a bigger threat.  Castor appears – the doctor says Beltran can see Leah now.  In Leah’s room, she’s on a ventilator.  Beltran is holding Leah’s hand, saying Pembrook must pay.
As Fatima and Shyla get access to the server, the previously opened files pop up. There were files for black-ops missions in Crimea, Somalia and Brazil.  Pembrook is still in the game.  An audio file has Leah and Jenkins using their Drona numbers as they work on a mission.  They aren’t being targeted by Pembrook, they work for Pembrook.  Sam can’t contact Shyla to warn Callen – signal jammers knocked out the cell service.  Gunmen rush near Sam, Fatima and Rountree.  Gunfire is exchanged.  Fatima and Rountree are pinned down.
Sam is able to get Fatima and Rountree to a safer location – people are still shooting.  If they can hold out, the FBI could rescue them but Sam is more worried the FBI is walking into an ambush.  More gunfire is exchanged.  Sam takes out at least one of the shooter.
In Leah’s room, Callen gets a call from Shyla about the lost comms with Sam and company.  The Summer-led FBI team suddenly is unreachable too.  Callen is going to the building, Castor will take Beltran back to boat shed.  Beltran wants to stay with Leah.  He’s not worried about his safety, he just wants to be with her.  Callen realizes there were only three Drona subject numbers – eight, 11 and 22.  Hertel, Leah and Jenkins.  Beltran wasn’t on the list – he was never warned.
Rountree is willing to create a diversion by running – but not in a show-offy way.  Fatima thinks he’ll get killed.  Sam assures them nobody is getting killed today.  He has a plan.
Callen has his weapon out and orders Beltran away from Leah.  Leah said 14 to Callen before losing consciousness – Beltran was 14.  Callen knocks on the door to get Castor in as back-up.  Beltran is impressed that Callen figured it all out but is more impressed with his own handy work when a Drona gunman, not Castor, walks into the hospital room.
Using some flashbangs, Sam, Fatima and Rountree move the people shooting them out of their secure locations.  Once they were seen, team NCIS shoot them.  Summer and the FBI arrive.  Sam finds the signal jammer and shuts it off, he’s quick to contact Callen.
Explaining that once again, Agent Castor is out cold, Beltran takes Callen’s gun.  Beltran doesn’t kill people who don’t deserve it – he didn’t have Castor killed, won’t kill Callen.  Callen notes that Beltran was going to kill Leah, who was in a coma in a hospital bed.  Beltran wasn’t going to kill her – she’s no longer a threat.  He just needed eyes on her to make sure.  Beltran says he and Callen are on the same side – they want to kill Pembrook.  Beltran’s partner has a sedative prepared for Callen – not going to kill Callen, just a long nap like Castor.  Callen hits the partner.  Beltran runs and after Callen gets the sedative in the leg, he runs after Beltran.  As Callen runs after Beltran, he has some Pembrook flashbacks before the sedative takes hold.  Callen is out cold and Beltran is gone.
Shyla updates Kilbride.  Callen and Castor are fine – it really was just a sedative.  Beltran and his partner are gone but the FBI are hunting them down.  Shyla also has Kilbride’s ride to the airport waiting outside of the office.  She doesn’t remember his order to cancel the flight.  Kilbride is not amused – he hired her because she never forgets anything.  She offers to cancel the flight but is non-refundable.  The Admiral hates wasting money, according to Shyla.  “Remind me to fire you when I get back.”  And the Admiral is off.
In the Armory, Fatima and Rountree are packing up their things.  Fatima asks about a story Summer started at breakfast.  Seems Rountree and Summer were having a lovely walk on the beach when the wind kicked up.  Summer’s hat went flying and Rountree went flying after it.  As he was catching up, he destroyed a kid’s sandcastle.  He got the hat back and then spent an hour helping the kid rebuild the castle.  Fatima thinks Rountree really likes Summer.  He admits he does but realizes he’s late for dinner with Summer.  He races away.
Callen is at the back balcony in the boat shed when Sam arrives.  Callen said had Beltran and he let Beltran get away.  And maybe he did it because he wants Beltran to kill Pembrook.  But if Beltran kills anyone else, well, Callen knows that’s his fault.  Sam thinks they need to find Beltran and Pembrook.  Callen wants to know how Hetty knew the Drona subjects were being targeted.  “Add it to the list,” Sam replies.  Callen is going for a drink with Castor.  Sam notes that it is the second time Castor got knocked out and lost his gun – maybe Castor shouldn’t be trusted with the wedding ring.   Callen tells Best Man Sam to knock it off.
What head canon can be formed from here:   So done with the Drona/Callen’s childhood storyline.  The program has a handful of episode left and this one and one down the road eat up valuable time with this tedious storyline.  And the episode down the road – where I will be screeching about retconning Pembrook – could have been used for more of Rountree’s history beside his sister, more of Fatima’s history period, more of Sam with Raymond, Kensi’s mom’s with Rosa.  There were other “personal history” episodes besides this nonsense.
As for the episode itself, it was really well done, if a bit talky, for a set-up episode for what comes in episode 19.  It was all about Pembrook without Pembrook physically in the episode (flashbacks don’t count).  It is still up in the air if Beltran, Leah, Jenkins and Hertel are villains or victims.  Beltran is a mess – no issue with killing Leah, Jenkins and Hertel but knockout syringes for Callen and poor Agent Castor.  The Drona drama is such a mess.
Episode number:   Episode number 16 in season 14.  This is the 318th episode overall.

scary for the character headcanons ask! and uhhh sasha from amphibia :] i think i got that name right
ACK! Hihihiiiii Travis ily/p 💗💗💗 Hope you're doing well!!!
So I just answered Scary's (which you can find here) but I think it's soooo fun that you also req'd Sasha bc personally I think they're soooo similar to each other. Girllosers with emotional repression level 100 they would kill each other on fucking SIGHT. Honestly I'd pay good money to see it!
Sexuality Headcanon: CANONICALLY BISEXUAL GIRLIE love that for him
Gender Headcanon: Bigender. I wish I could be a girl in the way you wish I could be your boyfriend girlfriend or however the fuck Will Wood said it. Uses she/her and he/him interchangeably! :D
A ship I have with said character: Literally in polyamorous gay love with Anne Savisa Boonchuy and Marcy Regina Wu like you can't tell me they're not all dating they are sooooooo in love fr!!!
A BROTP I have with said character: Sasha and Grime! Sometimes a family is a spoiled brat blonde recently booted from her universe and the grumpy talking toad warlord who captured her and subsequently promoted him to lieutenant after she broke out and killed some megafauna. They're both such losers and they're perfect for each other and every time I remember that they can never see each other again I get so fucking sad 😭😭😭
A NOTP I have with said character: Um. There aren't many repeat characters his age other than Anne and Marcy sooooo N/A I guess?
A random headcanon: She makes/retrofits her own armor in the Resistance arc. Most of the armor available is toad-proportioned and Sasha is NOT built at all like that. The closest thing would be newt armor but he would not be able to get her hands on that for multiple reasons. There's accents of both blue and green in his s3b design and I choose to believe that she put those there deliberately to remind him of her girls <333
General Opinion over said character: Cringefail bisexual loser who I adore with all my heart. Joan of Arc girlfailure edition. But he's dating god and a webcomic artist so I suppose she's winning at some things!

Josuke
MEHEHWHWH YAY
Sexuality headcanon-
I know that a lot of people just seen him as bi but personally, he is just full on gay to me. Full on green-white-blue. Like he definitely only likes men change my mind
Gender Headcanon-
I can never really decide on weither I think of him as a trans man or not, but most of the time he just give off so much of the bro vibes it’s unbearable to choose which one. he is just so. yeah
Ship headcanon-
OVBIOUSLY JOSUYASU. NOTHING CAN EVER AND WILL EVER STEAL JOSUYASUS PLACE IN MY HEART AND LIFE IN GENERAL. ITS SO IMPORTANT TO ME
BroTP-
Still josuyasu. They are the ultimate BroTP and can’t be separated ever. Make them fist bump. Make them say no homo when doing the gayest thing out there. Make them look at ‘beautiful women’ together when on a date. Literally sharing a milkshake with one straw. It’s strawberry by the way.
NoTP-
Uh. Okay obviously Rohan/Josuke(WHY DO PEOPLE EVEN-), Yasuho/Josuke(THEY ARE LITERALLY SIBLINGS YOU CANT SAY OTHERWISE) and.. goodness.. Jotaro/Josuke these are absolutely horrifying and I want to burn them in the deep depths of the Minecraft nether world.
Random headcanon-
One little thing I just really like the idea of is that Josuke and Okuyasu take hayato out all the time showing him these cool places and getting him food and little souvenirs. They think that Hayato is radical and they love that little guy so much almost like he’s their little brother :)) (I just love hayato a lot he’s my favorite little guy)
General Opinion-
Josuke is probably one of my favorite characters, though no none could beat Okuyasu on that list he is just so silly and I love when teenagers just get to be playful little guys. Honestly you couldn’t find another Josuke out there.
Also I’d like to point out I don’t really know where i would put koichi and josuke?? I don’t mind the ship but I also think they aren’t really bros. It’s so awkward between them??

FICTIONAL CHARACTER ASK: KERMIT THE FROG
Asked by @cjbolan
@softlytowardthesun @princesssarisa @thealmightyemprex @the-blue-fairie @themousefromfantasyland @amalthea9 @moonbeamelf @goodanswerfoxmonster
Favorite Thing About Them: I love how he mixes melancholy, introversion, romanticism and idealism with a dry sense of humour, uptightiness and irritability as a character who has to find his own growth while leading a diverse and chaotic group of people to find the artistic potential in their qualities that otherwise are rejected as "abnormalities" in the rest of the world.
Least Favorite Thing About Them: Besides that one episode of The Muppet Show where he ignored that you must pay your workers every year, learning the backstage story that his second puppeteer, Steve Whitmire, let the fact that he played Kermit get so over his head that he started mistreating colleagues and had to be fired because of that is just so terrible.
Three Things I Have In Common With Them:
*I can be a melancholic introvert.
*I would like to make other people happy trough art.
*I love the theater and music.
Three Things I Don't Have In Common With Them:
*I'm not a frog.
*I don't play the banjo.
*I can't handle the pressure of leading a huge group of people like he can.
Favorite Line:
From episodes of The Muppet Show
"Good grief, the comedian is a bear!"
"Pay Day? Again? It was Pay Day last year! Seems to be getting to be a habit around here."
"Me not crazy? I hired the others."
From The Muppet Movie
"Who sayed that wishes would be heard and answered when wished on the morning star?
Someone tought of that and someone believed it.
Look what it's done so far.
What's so amazing that keeps us stargazing and what do we think we might see?
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection.
The lovers, the dreamers and me."
"Hollywood. Gee. I'd miss this old swamp, but... Millions of people happy."
From The Great Muppet Caper
"It's just... sort of amusing that the roast beef is the same prince as an Oldsmobile..."
brOTP: Rowlf the Dog, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo and Scooter.
OTP: Miss Mousie, Miss Piggy, Gonzo.
nOTP: Denise from the 2015 ABC series The Muppets.
Random Headcanon: He started studying publicity and worked as a newspaper reporter before deciding that directing, producing and performer in theater, TV and film was his calling.
Unpopular Opinion:
1° In 2011, the Disney studios demanded that from them on, the brazilian dub refered to the character in his original american name, Kermit, instead of Caco, as he was known here for decades. I get using that name in the original language and when writing about the character, but for me, watching a production of the franchise, he will forever be Caco.
2° Not wanting to diminish the talent and effort of other puppeteers, but after listening Brian Henson perform so many roles competently and become a talented Muppeteer in his own right rather than just relying on "being Jim Henson's son and heir", I wish that he stepped up to try doing the role of Kermit.

Character ask: Little Chrissy and The Alphabeats [Sesame Street]? [Side note: I felt bad for Little Chrissy at the end of Exit.]
All these asks about minor Sesame Street characters! I never expected it, but I like it!
Favorite thing about them: They sing great songs that adults as well as kids can enjoy, even when the subject matter is for preschoolers.
Least favorite thing about them: Nothing.
Three things I have in common with them:
*I like to sing.
*I like to read, as they revealed in the song "Rock & Roll Readers."
*Like Little Chrissy, I'm heavyset.
Three things I don't have in common with them:
*I'm not a rock musician.
*I don't have blue, green, or purple skin.
*I'm bigger than a Muppet.
Favorite line: I don't think I can name one – all their lyrics are good.
brOTP: Each other.
OTP: None in particular.
nOTP: None in particular either.
Random headcanon: Little Chrissy is the brother of Sesame Street's other, similarly-named musician, Little Jerry of "Little Jerry and the Monotones" fame. Even though they each have their own bands, they sometimes perform together too.
Unpopular opinion: I don't think I have one.
Song I associate with them: They've sung a lot of good songs, but these are the two I remember best from my childhood.

"Count It Higher"

ok this is not comprehensive & i definitely forgot stuff. also the text was supposed to be white but changed to green when i saved it so i can't fix it i'm sorry
Tumblr media
explanations below bc i interpreted the colors a bit differently than intended (esp brotp)
otp: kinda self explanatory but these are dynamics i really love
love: slight step down but i will actively seek out these pairings to read abt & love to write them!
like: good in the right context or when someone writes them well
okay: willing to give these a chance but they're not my faves
brotp: this one is misleading, i used dark blue to indicate ships i think have a lot of merit but i personally don't read them
notp: i just put max/checo bc i actually did try to read some fics for them & couldn't get into it 🤷‍♂️
left side is empty bc i haven't really seen a lot of content for those drivers yet so i don't really have opinions
also this is extremely likely to change i am easy influenced
i tried to do that driver shipping chart thing but the results were horrendous. you couldn't see shit.

NCIS: Los Angeles Season 14 Rewatch:   “A Farewell to Arms”
The basics:  A tech guy creating chips for the Navy is badly injured in a hotel attack.
Written by:  Chad Mazero co-wrote "Internal Affairs", "Revenge Deferred" and "Where Everybody Knows Your Name", "The Noble Maidens" and "Pandora’s Box".  Wrote "Tidings We Bring", "Can I Get a Witness", "All Is Bright", "Diamond in the Rough", "High Society", "Murder of Crows", "Overdue", "Sorry for Your Loss" and "Flesh & Blood".
Directed by:   John P. Kousakis directed "Imposters", "Sacrifice", "San Voir" part one, "The Fifth Man", "Parley", "Inelegant Heart", "Chernoff, K.", "Active Measures", "The Long Goodbye", "Talion", "Glasnost", "Unleashed", "Party Crashers", "This Is What We Do" (episode 200), "Goodbye Vietnam", "Ninguna Salida", "The Guardian", "High Society", "A Tale of Two Igors", "Under the Influence", "Genesis", "Come Together", all of the Afghanistan scenes from "Iron Curtain Rising" to "Zero Days" in season five and all of Kensi’s injury/recovery storyline scenes from "The Queen’s Gambit" to "Sirens" in season eight.
Guest stars of note:  Lesley Boone was back from “Best Seller” as Nina Barnes.  Marilu Henner as Elizabeth Kilbride, Valerie Azlynn as Colleen/Paulina Kaminska, Michael Bow as Sean Baker, Nick Hargrove as Clyde Greene and JT Neal as Bartender.
Our heroes:  Track down chips on their way to foreign enemies.
What important things did we learn about: Callen:  Plans to leave his Leatherman to Sam. Sam:    Has a guy who can make the Leatherman leaving an item in Callen’s will. Kensi:  Wants a 9PM curfew for Rosa. Deeks:  Thinks about therapy after a creepy doll encounter. Fatima:   Notices something different about the Admiral. Rountree:   See Fatima. Kilbride:  Hanging with the ex.
What not so important things did we learn about:
Callen:  Not impressed with the bartender’s screenplay plans. Sam:    Does the big chase on foot. Kensi:  Third Eye Blind fan. Deeks:  Missed curfew by two-days. Fatima:   In the mood to go clubbing. Rountree:  Worried about massive rains in Los Angeles. Kilbride:   Plays Wordle.
Where in the world is Henrietta Lange?  No idea.
Who's down with OTP:   Kensi and Deeks are in full parent mode.  Kilbride and the ex have a warmer relationship than one might think.
Who's down with BrOTP:  Sam has yet another guy for Callen.
Fashion review:   Callen wore a dark blue, button down shirt.  Long sleeve black tee for Sam.  Kensi wore a white sweater with buttons.  A pale red sweatshirt for Deeks (not quite pink but not quite red either).  Fatima’s leather jacket looks soft like butter and it is over a concrete grey turtleneck.  A dark pink jacket over a red sweater for Rountree.  The Admiral is three piece suiting with a pale blue dress shirt and blue tie.
Music:   “These Boots Were Made for Walking” by Nancy Sinatra opens the episode.  There is a song at the end that I could not track down and the credits didn’t show up in the closed caption (which rarely happens).
Any notable cut scene:  Not today.
Quote:  Elizabeth:  “We were still in the hospital, and I was still in pain.  I couldn't sleep.   So you told me that you wouldn't either.  Even though you had just gotten back from... wherever they had sent you.” Kilbride:  “Cambodia.  We were in and out in 36 hours.” Elizabeth:  “Yeah, you were exhausted.  So there you were, holding Alex, and...fighting like hell to stay awake for me.  Then you fell asleep.  Now, I may have been young and..but I was smart enough to know that there are very few certain things in this world.  And seeing the two of you like that...I said, "Damn it, one thing is sure.  That man will always be there for his boy."  You let me down, Hollace.  But more importantly, you let Alex down too.”
The Nina Barnes rugelach conversation was a delight.
Anything else:  A woman walks into a hotel’s rooftop bar dragging a small, carry-on suitcase behind her.  With a bit of a southern accent, she asks the bartender for something quick and fancy, like a gin and tonic, hold the tonic.  She and the bartender share a laugh.  As he goes to make the drink, the woman speaks to another patron sitting at the bar.  She remembers seeing the bartender on one of the CBS soap operas.  Her fellow patron isn’t a soap fan.  He’s busy with his phone.  She introduces herself as Colleen from Virginia.  He’s Sean.  She’d love to stay with him but she’s flying home to Virginia in two-hours.  Sean is worried that she’ll miss her flight, traffic it LAX is a disaster.  She’s flying out of Long Beach.  That’s not much better.  If she leaves right away, she might make it, according to Sean.  Colleen quickly makes her way to the door.
As she walks through the hotel’s mezzanine level, Sean catches up with Colleen.  She took his suitcase by mistake. She apologizes and Sean seems good with it.  Except she’s not apologizing for taking the bag.  She swings the suitcase at his head.  The two fight – Sean has no problem hitting her and Colleen has no issue kicking Sean off the mezzanine and to the floor of the hotel lobby.
Sam drives in with Callen.  The two are talking about a text Callen sent Sam.  If anything ever happens to Callen, he wants Sam to have his Leatherman tool.  Sam wants Callen to talk to an estate lawyer – Sam knows a guy.  Callen tells same he doesn’t need an estate lawyer, he doesn’t really own anything.  Sam disagrees.  If Callen is getting married, he needs to have his affairs in order.  The Leatherman is going to Deeks now.
Deeks is telling Kensi a story about cows and missing curfew by two-days.  Kensi didn’t really have a curfew because she was homeless but before her father died, she stayed out late to see Third-Eye Blind.  While she made it home in time, she stole backstage passes.  Realizing that teenagers do things they shouldn’t, Rosa is looking at a 9PM curfew.
In the office, Rountree is worried about catastrophic rains, an ARKStorm, that are headed to Los Angeles.  Fatima, not so much when she hears it is between five months and 50-years.  She hopes they can solve their case before the rains come.
In Ops, Sean Baker, the fellow from the bar, is on the big screen.  Currently in critical condition, Baker has been living in the York Park Hotel.  Callen asks why is NCIS interested.  Baker is the co-founder of Almaya Technautics, an LA-based company working with the Navy.  If they are LA based, why would Baker be living in a hotel Rountree asks.  Fatima isn’t sure but the address on his driver’s license is no longer current.
According to the Navy, Almaya Technautics was creating autonomous rescue agents for the battlefield.  Basically robots.  If the robots were trained to find members of the US military on the ground, they could also be programmed to hunt and kill the military members by a bad actor.
Cameras were off in the mezzanine and lobby areas – no way to know how Baker wound up on the lobby floor but witnesses saw him with a blonde woman.  Security cameras on the hotel rooftop has a clear photo of Colleen.  Facial recognition has not matched her with anyone in the system.  Kilbride wants to find Colleen and see if she’s made off with any of Baker’s technology.  Callen and Sam are on their way to hotel.  Kensi and Deeks are interviewing an exec from Baker’s company to see if there were any threats prior to the morning’s attack.
When Callen and Sam leave, Rountree asks about Kilbride, who isn’t in the office.  Fatima says all the information she got about the case was from him via an encrypted message.  Rountree worries if he is in trouble.
In his house, Kilbride is straightening his tie when he hears a door open.  A woman – Elizabeth - wearing what looks to be his bathrobe is walking into the kitchen with some daisies.  Kilbride is surprised she’s still there.  He also remembers that she hates daisies.  Elizabeth is touched he remembered she hated daisies.  Maybe if he remembered their wedding anniversary, they wouldn’t have divorced 30-years ago.  She’s kidding, they got divorced because of his temper.
Kilbride has had enough of memory lane – he’s going to the office.  Elizabeth was about to make them breakfast but he had nothing but expired Vienna sausage in the fridge.  Kilbride recommends a diner down the street.  Whispering, Elizabeth said they had fun the night before.  “Last night was something,” Kilbride replies.
The Admiral really wants to know why Elizabeth is there.  She said she told him last night – she was in town for conference, thought they could get drinks and catch up.  “Well, I didn’t expect us to catch up so much.”  Saying he was able to read her face since she was 25-years old, Kilbride wants to know what Elizabeth really wants.  She wants to take a shower.  He tells her where the towels are and asks her to lock the door when she leaves.
Callen and Sam check around the hotel – which is a pricy place.  Employees told Sam that Colleen left through a back stairwell.  LAPD said she had Baker’s suitcase.  Cameras saw her in the alley but lost her once she hit the streets.  Fatima is checking for nearby security cams.  Sam sees the blood on the mezzanine floor.  Callen uses the blood stains to recreate the fight.  With the distance between the blood spots, Callen and Sam realize they are dealing with a professional.
In the boat shed, Kensi and Deeks are meeting with Clyde Green, Baker’s partner.  He immediately asks about Baker, who is out of surgery and things are looking better.  Greene thinks Baker’s mother is going to blame him for the fall.  “She blames me for everything bad that happens to him.”  They’ve known each other since they were kids and they got into the trouble that kids get into.  Deeks brings up his conversation with Kensi – cows and Third Eye Blind.  Greene is unfamiliar with Third Eye Blind, offending Kensi.
Back to Baker, he and Greene had the idea for the company in their dorm room in college but they built up their resumes with other jobs so they could get the company off the ground.  About a year ago, everything changed with the explosion of interest in AI.  Asked why Baker was staying in a hotel, Greene tells them Baker stays in hotels all the time.  Moves every few weeks, likes to shake things up.  Does the same thing with his hobbies – finds consistency smothering.  Deeks agrees, again offending Kensi.  Back to Baker, Kensi asks if Greene knew anyone interested in hurting Baker.  He does not.  Greene wants to go back to the office – things are chaotic after what happened that morning.  When Greene leaves, Kensi says she and Deeks aren’t the only ones who are best friends and working together.  Deeks agrees but the only thing he started in his dorm room was a fire with a hot plate.  Kensi asks what’s a hot plate.
In Ops, Fatima asks an arriving Kilbride if he is okay.  “Well, considering that I have been forced to live out my so-called golden years in this overly triggered insecurity blanket of a town, the answer is no, Agent Namazi.”  Fatima is almost laughing but knows that’s the wrong move.  She mentions she was worried when he wasn’t in that morning.  He wants a sitrep.  Fatima looks at the Admiral and asks if there is something different about him that day.  The Admiral doesn’t think he should have to beg for a sitrep.
Fatima has been in touch with the Office of Naval Research.  All work done by Baker and his company is being reviewed and any systems installed are being prepared for possible cyberattacks.  Rountree walks in talking about access to Baker’s bank accounts without knowing the Admiral was there.  Looking at Kilbride, Rountree asks if there is something different about him that morning.  “I got highlights,” Kilbride snarks before asking Rountree to proceed.
Baker has been paying a downtown art gallery for a studio over the last three months.  Without a home and without a longstanding hobby, why would he be paying an art gallery over the last few  months?  Saying they need a warrant, the Admiral wants Kensi and Deeks to check out the gallery.  As he leaves Ops, Fatima and Rountree are looking at him.  When he turns around to face them, they quickly turn away.
At the rooftop bar, LAPD is all over the place.  Callen talks to the bartender, who wonders if they got any hits on the fingerprints yet.  He used the word “hit”.  Callen thinks he is the one who should be asking questions, not the bartender.  The bartender starts on the perps who left without paying.  Callen asks him not to use the term “perps”.  The bartender is also working on a screenplay.  He’s been researching crime for his story.  Callen claims he isn’t a big reader.
Sam arrives with Baker’s briefcase.  The laptop is still inside.  Recapping the events of the day, the bartender confirms the woman from the security footage sat down with “our John Doe.”  Sam makes it clear, it is not “our” John Doe.  Or even a John Doe.  Callen shows the bartender a photo of Sean Baker, who not only confirms he was the guy at the bar, he also tells Callen and Sam that Baker was upset when he noticed his bag was gone.  Callen and Sam discuss that Colleen likely target Baker.  “And we all know how that worked out,” the bartender says shaking his head.  After a glare from Callen and Sam, the bartender is back behind the bar.
Callen wonders what was in the suitcase that was so important to Baker.  On Baker’s briefcase, Sam finds an Apple tracker.  There is likely a similar tracker in Baker’s suitcase.
Walking into the art gallery, Kensi and Deeks are in a studio Baker was using.  Looking around the studio, Kensi finds a box of dolls.  Cutting open one of the dolls, she finds a microchip – AT4756.  AT, like Almaya Technautics.  Kensi starts checking other dolls – they all have microchips.  Baker may have been selling them.
With all the dolls cut open, Kensi feels really bad.  Fatima, on comms, thinks they are living a reboot of “Child’s Play”.  Unlike most computer chips, the microchips can be repurposed for all kinds of technology – they could work in drones, missiles or dishwashers.  US manufacturers of chips are not allowed to sell them internationally – why give a possible enemy such high end technology.  Baker could have been providing these to foreign militaries for big money.  Fatima is going to call Clyde Greene to see if any other chips are missing.
Callen and Sam call Rountree.  Rountree got a warrant to go into the iCloud and track Baker’s suitcase.  In the meantime, Baker’s personal devices are clean.  That makes sense to Callen – a career in tech means Baker knows what not to put on a personal device.  The suitcase is currently in a parking lot downtown.  Callen and Sam are on their way.
As Rountree ends the call, the Admiral passes by on the office’s second floor.  He’s explaining to Elizabeth that he’s busy at work with a national security matter.  She’s making them dinner and dessert.  She’s brought in groceries including leafy green vegetables.  She’s worried about his heart.  “There’s a first time for everything,” Kilbride notes.  Elizabeth tells him she misses their fights.  They bring up best fight in the Tropicana in Atlantic City where she stabbed him with a crab knife.  They made up twice in the elevator.
Ending his call with Elizabeth, the Admiral is approached by Fatima.  “Walk and talk, Agent Namazi.”  The two go down the main part of the office.  Nobody on any flight leaving Los Angeles – any LA airport – matches Collen’s description.  The Navy also confirmed that the chips in the dolls were manufactured by Almaya Technautics.  Clyde Greene isn’t at the office so they can’t confirm if any other chips are missing.  The Admiral wants a sitrep when she has something new to tell him, not a rehash of what she doesn’t know.  Fatima sighs as the Admiral walks away.  Offering some comfort, Rountree tells her the ARKStorm could wash them all away and the Admiral wouldn’t remember their conversation.  It doesn’t help Fatima.
Rountree thinks if Baker was selling the chips, he would have to have buyers.  There’s one person in the selling weapons to bad guys business they could talk to.  And she has pastries.
Callen asks Sam about what he’s getting if Sam “heads out to that big math competition in the sky.”  Sam’s turn to be offended.  He’s not dying first – Sam tells Callen that Callen thinks the sixth food group is “fast”.  Callen is worried that Sam keeps things bottled up – that will catch up to him.  Callen and Sam see Clyde Greene pulling a suitcase from a car’s trunk.   Sam yells “federal agents” and Greene talks off with Sam behind him.  It isn’t much of a chase.
While Fatima looks at the parking lot’s security cameras, Sam tells Callen the suitcase is empty.  Greene explains this is all a misunderstanding.  Callen and Sam were not the federal agents he spoke to that morning.  Callen asks if Greene thought there were only two federal agents in the entire city of Los Angeles.  “Budget cuts are no joke.”
Callen and Sam have a theory – Greene found out that Baker had a side business.  Afraid of being cut out, Greene hired a killer to take out Baker.  Greene could cash in on all of Baker’s side deals and on the success of Almaya Technautics.  Greene said he didn’t hire anyone to kill anyone.  Their deal with the Navy barred Almaya Technautics from selling their chips to anyone.  With the worldwide shortage of the chips, they did a few side deals on the dark web.  Baker got greedy – he was going to sell 200.  That’s what was in the suitcase – the buyer was going to be in the bar.  Callen explains that Baker was set up.  They knew he’d be in the bar with the suitcase.  Enemies of the US could now have the chips – Greene could be charged with treason.
Nina Barnes is selling a customer on her new cupcakes – horseradish in the mix – when Kensi and Deeks arrive.  She thinks Kensi and Deeks are there to thank her for the rugelach she sent for Hanukkah.  They’re not but they were grateful for the rugelach.  Kensi shows Nina a photo of Colleen – does Nina know her.  Nina does not.  Deeks explains that Colleen may be involved with stolen microchips.  Nina doesn’t deal in microchips but they are changing the world of arms dealing.  While she’s not in the microchips business, Nina knows someone who is.
Back in the office, Callen and Sam are approached by Fatima.  She has parking lot footage including Colleen leaving her vehicle for an SUV.  She’s going to an airport in Van Nuys.  Callen wants Fatima to stop any air traffic in or out of the airport.
Rosetta Stone grad Nina Barnes is speaking in Italian to a contact on the phone, impressing both Kensi and Deeks.  Kensi is also enjoying a cupcake.  Phil Collins comes up in the phone call.  Seems the Italian gunrunner confused a German gunrunner for Phil Collins.  Anyway, Nina has a name – Paulina Kaminska, who was going by Colleen.  Kaminska and a partner broker deals across Europe.  She left the game a few years ago but she’s obviously back.  Maybe the money being offered for microchips pulled her back in.  Nina says Kaminska is really good at her job – she’s never been caught, that’s why she not in any database.
In Ops, Fatima and Rountree have a background for Kaminska.  She’s a Polish national who has contacts all over the world.  If she’s out of the US, she’s in the wind.  And the microchips are up for sale to the highest bidder.  Van Nuys airport is closed to incoming and outgoing traffic.  Kaminska’s vehicle was dumped off by the airport at an abandoned night club.
Callen and Sam are at the airport, Kensi and Deeks are 10-minutes out.  Callen and Sam see Kaminska move the chips but a vehicle pulls up to where she’s making the deal.  Two more men come to the sale.  Callen takes photos of the men and send them to Ops.  Kilbride orders Rountree to join Callen and Sam in the Van Nuys airport.  Fatima searches for the men.  Callen realizes Kaminska wasn’t going to the airport, she was going to the abandoned night club.
Kensi and Deeks arrive as Kaminska and her buyers enter the night clubs.  Anton Kusev is one of the men in the photos.  He’s a former Russian intelligence officer who has become a Russian arms broker – one of the most wanted men in the world.  Kilbride makes it clear, the sale can’t go through.  Sam has a plan.
Kaminska is showing the chips to her Russian buyers when Deeks knocks on the back door.  When one of Kusev’s men answer the door, Deeks knocks him out and enters the building.  Deeks gets into a little hand to hand combat with another one of Kusev’s men, this guy grabs a knife from the club’s kitchen.  Deeks knocks away the knife and Kusev’s man falls to the ground, making a loud noise.  Kaminska, Kusev and one of his guards run.  Sam and Rountree tackle Kusev and his men.  Callen stops Kaminska before she can drive away.
The team are meeting around the briefcase with the chips and talking about food.  Deeks says he’s feeling good about going out as long as he’s home by 9PM for Rosa’s curfew.  If she has a curfew, so does he.  Sam laughs at curfew.  Deeks says they just stopped a Russian arms dealer – if he can’t maintain a curfew, what’s going on.  And what’s going on is Deeks noticing that the microchips are different than the ones he and Kensi found in the studio.  The microchips are all blank – no AT branding for Baker’s company.  Callen looks over to an in-custody Kaminska.  They are fakes.  Callen tells Deeks and Rountree to go home.  They are going to handle Kaminska.
Hoping she’d get a nap in before Callen and Sam figured it out, Kaminska tells Callen and Sam she destroyed the chips.  She gives them an address to find the destroyed chips.  She explains that her home is near the border.  Now there are thousands of refugees crossing into Poland.  Knowing what she did for years, she saw what arms dealing did to real people.  “Karma’s a bitch.”
Knowing that the Russians were going to get Baker’s microchips, she stole them.  They were going to Russia, China or Iran – things were not going to end well.  “What’s one last job?” she asked.  Callen and Sam asked why she would sell the fake chips.  Well, a girl has to eat.
Rountree returns to the office.  The REACT team found all 200 of the real microchips, according to Fatima.  Fatima has club plans – a new retro place downtown.  If they big storms are going to take them away, might as well have some fun.
Entering his home, Kilbride finds Elizabeth, jazz playing in the background and dinner was wrapped up in aluminum foil.  She didn’t want to get the food cold.  Sharing some wine, Elizabeth asks about the happiest day of the marriage.  Kilbride jokes it was the day her mother moved away.  “That woman loved you,” Elizabeth tells him.  Elizabeth says it was the night after their son Alexander was born.  He was just back from Cambodia and while he was exhausted, he held their son until he couldn’t fight sleep anymore.  Seeing her then husband with their son, she was sure he’d always be there for “his boy.”
Feeling he let both her and Alex down, Elizabeth wanted to be sure if Kilbride changed.  He claims that their son made choices, and made them as an adult.  Kilbride tried to help “many times” but Alex wanted no part of his father.  Elizabeth explains Alex is clean now but she’s worried it might change.  She’s tired of worrying alone.
Sticking with his treatment program, Alex is going regularly.  Elizabeth goes regularly as well to family therapy.  She wants Kilbride there too.  “Promise me you’ll thinks about it.”  That earns a “fine” from Kilbride.  She starts to reheat the food – crab legs.  He’s switching from wine to scotch.  “I think I’ll make it a double.”
What head canon can be formed from here:    It will come up again later in the season but the exploration of Kilbride’s personal life should have started a season earlier.  I know the prior season was about getting Callen engaged and making Kensi and Deeks parents but a man who put everything into his career at the expense of his family, a man struggling that his choices hurt his family, especially played by Gerald McRaney really would have worked on a longer runway than the final few episodes of the season.
Marilu Henner was a great choice as Kilbride’s ex.  Terrific actress who can do comedy and drama, age appropriate too.  One thing – Elizabeth divorced Kilbride for his temper but she stabbed him with a crab knife?
The case of the week was rather generic outside of the Ukrainian connection for Paulina.  I don’t think Paulina spends a day in jail after her arraignment.  Her connections are far too valuable, especially since she’s retired.
I was half expecting Sam to tell Callen it was his Leatherman tool that Callen borrowed years ago.  That was a silly missed opportunity.
Kensi disappeared when they got to the bar in Van Nuys.  We were told Kensi and Deeks were 10-minute behind Callen and Sam, Kensi said they were on their way and outside of speaking once to Deeks as he went into the bar on the earwigs, Kensi was MIA for the last 10-minutes of the episode.
Episode number:   This is episode 13 of season 14, the 315th episode overall.
