Note to self: Pervenche becomes a gatekeeper. He’s tried tons of other occupations in the Abbey and while okay at them, they never seemed to fit. He doesn’t think he’s going to become a gatekeeper, even though he loves it, because he thinks he doesn’t have that helpful friendly demeanor (he absolutely does), but the actuality is he’s a rat and woodlanders are wary and will take time to get used to him.

Bless him, he isn’t dense about specieism, but he forgets sometimes that he’s a rat, in some contexts.

(Also yes he’s a full brother of The Order, whatever all that entails in Redwall.)
