GOSH im still thinking abt what way i want to dig into it more art/writing wise BUT as far as where they started, narinder felt inconvenienced by the constant hesitation they would have doing anything until the crown had them calm enough to "listen to reason", and by that i mean playing to Mothers delusion of growing their family and inadvertently giving them the idea that it would be their family together

so as you can see, Mother has a very skewed idea of their and Narinders relationship here but narinder leaned into it just enough to keep them motivated not considering this would have consequences. so the fight is the first time Mother seems furious, but seems to calm down as soon as its over only because in their mind this is just a hiccup in a relationship :)

hes miserable for a while because hes stuck dealing with that and it feels like its own, but as mother starts bringing back his siblings and aym and baal to boot, is when things start turning for him and he does start to feel guilt but no idea how to remedy it and for a very very short time does he get to kind of enjoy the attention they give him.

but as mother is helping the former bishops, theyre starting to come to, because theyre being merciful and kind but slowly the anger seeps in watching them be happy. helping shamura is especially a big contributor because hearing the reasoning for everything happening made Mother feel sick.

when narinder finally makes an attempt to breach the subject of their mind is the breaking point for them, and once ovidia jumps out hes not ready to hear what they have to say.

and from that points its "you can stay, but you will stay away from me, that is the only warning i'll give you." and by then the guy already has feelings getting the cold shoulder is rough, not as rough and how ovidia is having to feel all their grief at once when they finally finally have a chance to

its a long road before theyre even on speaking terms, and a lot of it is narinder finding out who they are, as ovidia and not just as Mother. eventually they get there, after a LOOOOOOOT of things in between but i already went on a tangent here but this is like the rough of it eroihgterhr

Love Stage!! Live Blogging

I don’t know much about this except one of the guys looked very pretty in a dress, the writing is apparently not good, but it’s supposed to be fluffy and cute. I need the mindless fluff to move on from Gifted Graduation and also because I’ve got angsty shows like Theory of Love and Kissable Lips after this.

Episode 1 (May 10)

The marble was so big in the little kids’ palms but so small in the grown-up version of the character 

If I skip the scenes with Anda’s brother and the manager guy, will I miss anything? 

I wish the acting was better 

The way there are so many male main/prominent side characters and nearly all the female characters have just be shrieking over them, like I need y’all to have better writing which makes the men seem great and famous without using the same lazy technique every time and also to give women some depth 

I fucking hate the parents fr like not only pressure your child into these things he’s not interested in while ignoring his passions but withholding information about this shoot that he’s apprehensive and nervous about so that he’s just assaulted ? totally unaware that there’s a kiss scene? 

I like Anda and his commentary lol his sass while Ryo’s confessing

Episode 2 (May 10)

Why is every character a liar bro. Anda’s brother and manager lying to guilt-trip Anda into finishing the commercial shooting. Them not telling Ryo that he’s acting opposite and kissing a man. 

I didn’t realize there’d be sooo much lying and weird behaviour, guess I’ll have to prepare myself for it now

This show just switches between being mind-numbingly boring or deeply uncomfortable, what the hell was that scene of Ryo forcibly removing Anda’s shirt >:(

At least the blood and fallen tooth as a result of a fall-kiss was entertaining

Episode 3 (May 10)

I kept thinking the guy who plays Ryo reminds me of Lhong from Tharntype and turns out, that’s him

P’Aeko is seriously the only character in the entire series who’s reasonable, upright, truthful and logical. Also, she’s freaking pretty

Ooh, a “you owe me, so you must work for me” type deal. 

Episode 4 (May 10)

I was like “aw, cute” at how Ryo’s wondering at how to flirt with another boy and asking P’Aeko about the Y novel but then all the stuff with parents forcing Anda to audition happen and I get annoyed again

Nauuurrrr he’s reading tons of Y novels and writing notes on how to flirt and he’s boutta follow through T.T I’m dead, mans is in an Engineer workshop shirt even though he doesn’t even go to uni

Wait, this cute little sheep farm date? And the brother trying to foil their date but accidentally just making Anda like Ryo more? cute

Episode 5 (May 10)

Dang, didn’t expect Anda to become such a big fan of Ryo and his works suddenly. He has the man himself already, he can just hang out with him and take photos, so I don’t get this competing over polaroids and buying random merch thing

A sleep kiss scene sigh. How’d Anda not wake up at the last one unless he did and is just pretending

Episode 6 (May 11)

This heavy crying in the rain kinda reminds me of Fish Upon The Sky’s Pi’s similar scene. Didn’t care about either, too overdramatized to make me feel anything.

The nsfw scene was... okay. They weren’t awkward but I felt a bit awkward, so I skipped forward a few times

Episode 7 (May 11)

Fair enough, Anda should’ve told his family he won’t be coming home, but the tracking is still ew

Wtf why did Ryo randomly throw in that he wants to live with Anda for 60 more years

If the scriptwriters were better, things here could be interesting. Tee and Jed talking about how Tee’s famous and they have to hide and Jed wasn’t certain at the beginning whether Tee was serious about him, etc but the conversation just ended abruptly and they go to sleep lol

Tee’s songs missing Jed was cute 

??? Okay, I knew there was apparently hot nsfw scenes because people mentioned it often but I wasn’t expecting to be switching between both couples getting it on with them hinting at Ryo giving Anda a blowjob and also Tee’s hand around Jed’s neck ??? Not to mention I’m likely missing things because I get shy and skip ahead sometimes.

Nothing really happened, just suspicion and meandering without good enough writing or acting to make the situation interesting or worrying

Why does Ryo act so irresponsibly? You know you’re being stalked and photos are being taken, just stop going out so plainly in public

Where would these shows be without making the fat (trans?) woman the villain while also just acting as a caricature

The penultimate episode break up, of course. Why break up with him when all his jobs are falling through, though? Just leave Ryo out to fend for himself? It’s not like the homophobic fans and shows are gonna come back now that they’ve broken up 

Also, I almost felt something when Anda was acting fine but not fine and Ryo was picking up on it and it was approaching sadness but then they actually broke up and the acting there didn’t touch me 

Episode 10 (May 11)

Wtf are these subs for part 3... do I care enough to seek out the correct versions on dramacool or smth? (I also just figured out via Google that sought is the part participle of seek lol. I always thought it was just a verb “to sought” which means to find or gather)

Oh the Spanish subs are correct, I’ll just watch it with the double subs thing with Spanish and English

There’s just 1 part with 14 minutes left and nothing’s solved yet, agh

Till the end, it was a show that was below mediocre to varying degrees in all aspects (the acting was mediocre, I didn’t care about these characters, the storyline/writing was much below mediocre). The 7.4 on MDL should’ve warned me away rip but it looked like mindless fluff and I kinda got that.

Episode 4 was enjoyable I think and the main actors + P’Aeko were nice to look at. I looked at the Love Stage!! MDL Cast but Aeko’s actor doesn’t even appear there, is this her only work? 

Anyway, after Bad Buddy and Not Me, I had to watch some mediocre or bad shows to reset my expectations, so I’ll consider this show to have done the same after The Gifted duology.
