Wassup Loveeees, I'm always gone from here for too long. But as you know, things have been heavy. But I wanted to share with you. These two songs are two years apart (The second is my new song "Note to Self"). As I am my biggest critic, I hear very little improvement but that speaks to my lack of consistency. The voice you hear is not my true voice. I was so hungry for validation that I became stifled with anxiety every time I had to sing. Its frustrating for me because I'm pretty confident in any other part of my life. So right before I wrote "Note to Self", I wanted to give up and stop singing. But then I thought about how many ways I want to help people and I think one of those ways is through music. "Note to Self" is basically about losing yourself. When I wrote it, it felt like giving up. But today, it feels like letting go. Letting go of my need for validation so I can continue to fuel my desire to heal people.
