Daughter of the Sea
Chapter Seven: Holding On to Hope (Read on Ao3 here)
Camp was buzzing for a few days, everyone on edge and waiting for Percy to show up. But sunrise came and sunset went, and no Percy.
Soon a week went by, and people started to wonder, then whisper. I would see them giving me quick glances, muttering something to their friends as they passed. Annabeth got the worst of it, though—the sympathetic looks started coming her way five days after she got back, and once I saw her shove one of the Hephaestus kids down the hill just for trying to say “sorry for your loss”. She was holding onto hope, and the rest of camp was trying to too, but as the days went by it got harder.
On day ten, I finally saw her break. She had stopped trying to pretend like she wasn’t crumbling from the inside out, and her eyes were permanently red and puffy. By day thirteen, I was the only one who still believed he was coming back.
I just had this feeling deep in my gut that he was alive, like some faint chord that was tethered between him and I that I could still feel. For some reason, I knew that if he was dead, I would’ve felt that chord snap, and it would not have been pretty for me.
That, and the dreams.
I got them every few nights at first, but the longer time went on and the more desperate everyone got, they became more frequent, until they were happening every night. It was always some version of the same thing—that beautiful beach with the shining lake and blooming meadows, the same gorgeous girl hanging around the entrance to the cave or walking among the trees.
I could never go farther than the shoreline. Anytime I tried to explore, my dream would be cut off and I would wake up in a cold sweat. Eventually, I just started sitting in the sand and waiting. And watching.
Soon enough, I started to see Percy in the dreams. He would poke his head out of the cave, walk among the flowers for a bit, and talk to the beautiful girl with caramel hair. The two would laugh, and something about it was so painfully sad. He looked weak, and he could barely stand for longer than an hour at a time without having to lie down again. But despite it all, he was alive. I knew he was.
I had just awoken from a dream where Percy and the girl sat on the beach for a long time, having a picnic and a seemingly serious conversation, when I heard a knock on my door. Opening it, I found a very tired looking Annabeth and Chiron, who also looked like he hadn’t been sleeping well.
“Good morning, Angie. Sorry if we woke you.” Chiron’s voice was somber.
“No, not at all. Please, come in.” I didn’t know if other campers were allowed in cabins that weren’t their own, but I assumed by how quickly Annabeth stepped inside that they were. Either that or she was just beyond caring.
“As you know, Percy will be missing for two weeks tomorrow. There is no easy way to say this, so I will be blunt.”
Tears started rolling down Annabeth’s face.
“Annabeth and I, along with the other Counselors, have decided it is time to officially announce him as dead.”
I stared at the centaur with wide eyes, my mouth falling open. “What?” My voice sounded hollow.
“It is our only assumption at this point.” Chiron spoke as if every word broke his heart.
“But he’s not dead,” my voice cracked despite my assurance. “I know he’s not.”
“I didn’t want to believe it either,” Annabeth said in a whisper, “but now–”
“But nothing!” my voice was louder than I intended it, and the blonde girl flinched. I didn’t know her well, but we had spoken a few times in the past two weeks.
She told me about the quest her and Percy had been on, and every now and then I picked up on pieces of their past adventures. She would tell me how wonderful my brother was, how he was brave and fearless and hilarious. But the thing she talked about the most was what a good friend he was, and listening to her talk only made me ache for him even more.
My whole life I had felt like there was a piece of me missing, like one half of my soul was outside my body. As soon as I found out I had a twin, I knew he was it. I couldn’t lose him before I even met him.
“You have to believe me,” I continued. “These dreams, something about them feels so real.”
Chiron furrowed his brow and sighed. “As you’ve said many times now. But it is our custom to wait two weeks, and then give the missing hero a proper burial so they may pass into the Underworld in the hopes of achieving Elysium.” He said the next sentence as if it took all of his strength, “It is what Perseus would have wanted.”
Annabeth let out a loud sob.
All I could do was shake my head, the words stuck in my throat.
“But…but…”
“The funeral will be tomorrow before dinner. I must also ask if you would decorate his funeral shroud, it is tradition for the siblings of the fallen hero to do so.”
“I—” I didn’t even know what a funeral shroud was, much less how to decorate it. “I won’t.” I said finally.
Chiron simply sighed, not seeming phased or surprised by my words. Annabeth looked up in shock, though.
“What do you mean you won’t?”
“He’s not dead, so I won’t.” My words were harsh.
“But—”
“She has made her choice.” Chiron said, sounding resigned. “Annabeth, as his closest surviving friend, you will decorate it for him.” I watched as a new wave of grief washed over her face, and I almost felt bad for saying no. I felt so strange in that moment. Sure I had lost my brother, but at the same time, I had never met him. I didn’t know him. Annabeth, however, did. She was his best friend, and the loss was clearly tearing her apart.
But even so, something deep inside whispered that he wasn’t gone, and I wouldn’t give in.
“Okay.” She said finally, wiping at her nose. “For Percy.”
Chiron nodded, his face grave. “Very well. That is all we came for.”
The two walked out of the cabin, and in the silence they left behind I heard a strange noise behind me. It was coming from the fountain I hardly paid any attention to, and when I walked toward it I was surprised at what I found. The water was boiling, steam rising from the basin. I stared at it in confusion before a sudden realization washed over me—I had caused it to boil. Without even realizing it.
I stared at my distorted face in the bubbles, feeling hopeless and lost, and watched as tears filled my eyes.
I barely left my room at all that day, and nobody came to ask why I wasn't at any of my training sessions. I only emerged for meals, and even then barely anyone spoke to me. To be fair, hardly anyone was speaking at all. The mood was the most somber and tense I had seen yet, and about half the camp looked like they were seconds away from losing it completely.
Annabeth was fully ignoring me now, making a point to show how upset she was with me. Honestly, I didn't blame her. I knew what my behavior must look like from the outside, like I was delusional and entitled. But I knew what I knew, and there was no way Percy was dead.
The day passed agonizingly slow, and that night I had my most vivid dream yet.
I was back on the island, which I had come to expect at this point. I felt the small waves of the lake lap against my feet, and I walked along the shoreline for a while until I heard voices.
One of them sounded older and gruff, like someone who had faced a lot of hardships and had become stronger because of it. The other one was the voice of a teenage boy, and my heart skipped a beat. Rounding a bend, I saw the two figures standing on the beach in the distance. I got as close as I dared, because something told me that the man, who was hunched and walked with a limp, would see me if I pushed it.
They seemed to be having a very serious conversation about something, since the boy, Percy, kept looking out at the water for long periods of time. Finally, he nodded and the man disappeared across the blue. I watched as Percy slumped onto the sand and put his head in his hands, as if he was trying to make a difficult decision.
Next thing I knew, the scene in front of me shifted, and I was on a small raft in the middle of the ocean. The salt sprayed in my face, and as I inhaled it and looked over the side, I saw a pod of dolphins swimming around the boat, playing freely. I was watching one jump over the boat when I noticed the boy sleeping on the bottom of it. A boy with tangled, black, wavy hair and freckles along his cheeks. A boy who looked like me. I knew exactly where we were in the ocean, and I knew which direction we were going: towards Long Island Sound.
I was just about to reach out and touch him to see if he was real when my eyes fluttered open, and I was staring at the wooden ceiling of Cabin Three.

Tumblr media
I could feel the beginning of sweat start to drip down the side of my face as I squinted my eyes trying to see the others in the water. The sand was at the border of being too hot to stand on in bare feet, causing me to walk closer to the water where the cold ocean had cooled the ground. “C’mon (y/n)!” Lucy shouted over the sound of the waves crashing into the shore. “The water isn’t even that cold!”
This was a lie and we both knew it. The icy water brushed the tip of my toes as I held back a shudder. At least the water would help me cool off from the unforgiving sun. As I stood contemplating what to do, I felt a hand graze my back. I turned to see Peter walking by me, a grin on his face. “Too scared to run in, (y/n)?” he asked. That was enough to kick me into action as I started to follow him into the water.
“Of course not,” I replied, holding back the instinct to let out a gasp as the cold water wrapped itself around my stomach. Both of our parents stayed by the towels and umbrellas, leaving the ocean to their children as they drank and talked about whatever it is that adults talked about. The blue house that our families had rented stood tall and proud behind our parents, overlooking the beach and whatever sat beyond what reaches of the ocean we could see.
Peter and I came to a halt as we reached where Lucy and Edmund were. “Where’s Susan?” Ed asked as Peter dunked his head under the water.
“I believe she said she was taking a nap,” I replied as Peter’s head reappeared from the dark water. His blond hair was now pressed against his forehead and had become a few shades darker from the weight of the water.
“Watch out! Big wave!” Lucy just managed to shout out the words before my vision was painted white as the wave crashed down on us. I lost control of my body as I let the current drag me around like a rag doll until I felt myself crash into something solid. At first, I thought it was a rock before I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around my chest.
“Don’t worry, I got you.” I heard Peter say as my head broke the surface. I gulped in a deep breath of air, the oxygen reaching my lungs as I wiped the salt water out of my burning eyes.
“Thanks,” I managed as the taste of salt water danced down my throat.
“I think some of the water went up my nose.” I heard Edmund say while Lucy was pushing her hair that had been plastered in front of her eyes out of her face. I turned my head to look at Peter whose arms were still around me. The sudden realization of the situation finally dawned on me and I felt my face warm at the close proximity. Suddenly his arms felt like iron chains around me and I couldn’t ignore the feeling of their weight on me. Peter seemed to have also become aware of the sensation of our bodies pressed against each other as he slowly removed his arms from me.
“Sorry,” he said softly, his face now also a light shade of pink.
“Yeah, no worries,” I said quickly. I was suddenly thankful for the large wave coming our way as I turned to face it, focusing my thoughts on not being drowned by the rushing water.
“I almost drowned!” Lucy exclaimed as we all sat around the dinner table. It had been my mom’s turn to cook dinner and so she had made us all steak. I started to cut into the meat as Lucy told Susan all about our adventures in the water. Peter and I had become a bit more quiet since the incident in the ocean. I felt myself stealing glances at him every now and then. Sometimes he had already been looking at me too.
“I’m so happy you guys decided to join us here in the states.” I heard my mom say to the Pevensies’ parents. “I feel like we haven’t seen each other since we moved to America.”
“I know, it seems the kids are having a lot of fun hanging out again,” Mrs. Pevensie replied. I turned back to the conversation but could feel the burning glances Peter occasionally threw at me throughout dinner. I was thankful when dinner was over, trying to wash the dishes as quickly as possible and avoiding being near Peter as much as the confines of the kitchen allowed. The parents had disappeared, most likely to the balcony that overlooked the water to drink some more and catch up on what they had missed in the past five years. As soon as the dishes were done, I excused myself blaming my exhaustion on the sun and went to my room.
I was surprised when I woke up to a dark room. I had expected myself to be unable to sleep and instead toss and turn until the rest of the lights went out in the house. I got up from my bed, checking my phone to see it was around three in the morning. My stomach growled as I turned on my lights. It seems that pushing the food around your plate does little to actually satisfy your hunger. I paused at my mirror before leaving. I brushed out my hair and checked to see that the pajamas I wore were acceptable to be seen by the public. I wasn’t sure if I would run into Peter, he was most likely still asleep, but I wanted to play it safe. I wasn’t sure why I was so concerned about my appearance around him. When we were younger, before my family moved to America, I could have cared less about what he thought of my appearance. But then again, we had been younger then. Five years younger to be exact. We had grown since then. His shoulders had broadened and he had become taller. My body had developed curves where it used to be straight and I had finally grown into myself. We weren’t how we were back in the UK. We were older and more mature.
I shook the thoughts from my mind and opened the door to my room. I walked as quietly as I could past my parents’ room and then past all of the Pevensies’ rooms before reaching the stairs that led to the living area that held the kitchen. I opened the fridge as my stomach automatically growled at the sight of all the food. The best part of being on vacation was the fact that the fridge was always filled with leftovers from dinner. I settled on some of the mac and cheese, spooning some into a bowl before putting it into the microwave. I stood patiently as the whir of the microwave filled the silence that had settled into the room.
“What are you doing up?” I jumped at the voice before turning to see Peter standing by the entrance of the kitchen.
“I was hungry,” I said while pointing my head to the microwave. He walked over to me and I was suddenly thankful I had spent the extra time on my appearance before leaving my room. He wore only a pair of grey sweatpants. I couldn’t help myself and let my eyes wander his exposed abs. He definitely did not have those five years ago.
“I missed seeing you,” he said, causing my eyes to jump from his abs to his ocean blue eyes which I could easily drown in if I weren’t careful.
“Me too,” I replied, my voice much softer than I expected it to be. I cleared my throat before speaking again. “I missed having someone I could annoy like an older brother.” Peter’s face scrunched as he shook his head.
“Please don’t call me an older brother. That’s weird.” I raised an eyebrow at this, my heart racing. All this time I had thought he saw me as another little sister. But if that wasn’t the case, what did he see me as?
“And why is that?” I questioned. Peter’s face seemed to have reddened. I wasn’t sure if it had already been red from the sun and I just hadn’t noticed or if he was blushing. Before he could answer the microwave went off causing me to jump. Peter opened the door, taking the bowl out as steam rose from the food.
He set the bowl down on the counter before turning back to me. His eyes seemed to be studying me. I subconsciously bit my bottom lip in anticipation. I watched as his eyes followed the movement. “You’ve grown a lot since I last saw you,” he finally said.
“And so have you.”
“The thoughts I have about you…” Peter started as he walked closer to me, stopping so that we were almost pressed against each other. “They are not thoughts a brother has about his sister.” He leaned down towards my ear, his hot breath brushing the bare skin behind my ear and sending a shiver down my spine. “That is why it’s weird for you to call me an older brother.” My face must have been the color of a lobster at this point, and I was no longer afflicted with hunger. Instead, lust coursed through my veins. He paused for a moment as if in thought before pressing his lips on the same skin his breath had just caressed. I let out a soft sigh allowing my hand to grasp onto his strong bicep. My other hand had crept around to his stomach, tracing the abs I had just moments before been admiring. He moved his lips, kissing down my neck as I moved my head back to give him more access.
His hands wrapped around my waist before he lifted me into the air. I let out a gasp in surprise before my ass met the cool counter. His eyes looked me up and down, filled with lust and desire. “Has anyone told you how beautiful you are?” he asked. His hands were by my hips as his thumb traced shapes on my thighs. I found myself blushing at his words. Many people had called me beautiful before but the way he spoke it was the same way people sing praises to the gods they worship. He stepped towards me and I opened my legs for him so that he was as close as physically possible.
He stopped for a moment, his eyes meeting mine. They seemed to be saying all the things that had been left unsaid since we had reunited. You’re different. I’m different. These emotions are different. I love you. I wrapped my legs around him, forcing him closer (something I had not thought possible). His hands moved so that they were on either side of me, resting on the counter. My own hands were on his shoulders. I moved one so that it caressed his face. My mac and cheese sat patiently on the counter next to us, expecting to be eaten soon. I had a feeling the bowl would be staying there until the morning. Peter brought his face closer to mine. He paused for a moment, his eyes moving from my lips to my eyes. I gave a slight nod. Then, he kissed me.
We kissed and suddenly I understood what the authors of the romance books I used to read were writing about. He was like a drug. With each touch I needed more. With each kiss I craved just one more moment of the taste of his lips. My hands traveled to his hair as we continued to kiss. His hands wandered my back, traveling beneath the fabric of my t-shirt. I didn’t want to pull away. I wanted to stay like this for eternity. On the other hand, I wanted more. I wanted to connect us even more. I wanted him to fuck me.
I pulled back just long enough for my shirt to be discarded. Then I immediately reconnected our lips. I kissed him hungrily, as if those few seconds apart had left me famished. His hands slipped between us, holding my breasts. A small shudder went down my spine as his thumbs brushed my nipples. His hands continuously moved, as if they weren’t sure what to do with all the newly exposed skin. He squeezed my breasts before letting his hands travel down my stomach, gripping my waist harshly as we continued to kiss.
I could feel a growing wetness between my legs. The feeling of something hard being pushed against my inner thigh informed me Peter was just as turned on. He disconnected our lips, tasting my chin and then neck and then collar bone until he reached my tits. I attempted to catch my breath as his tongue flicked across my nipple. I let out a soft gasp as my back arched in pleasure. He started to suck on my tits, making sure to show great care and attention to both of them. His grip on my waist tightened and I was sure there would be a slight bruise in the morning. I couldn’t bring myself to care at the moment as that slight pain was the only thing keeping me grounded as pure pleasure pulsed throughout my body as Peter continued to kiss and suck and bite on the sensitive areas.
He stopped abruptly, standing upright and looking me directly in the eye. His erection that had been increasing in size and hardness was now protruding from his pants and pressing into the soft skin of my thigh. “When I was younger, I had always felt an attraction to you, (y/n),” he said. His voice was lower than usual and he seemed to be slightly out of breath as he spoke. “I never knew whether it was a friendly attraction or something stronger than that. But the moment I saw you for the first time in five years, I knew the feelings I felt for you...it wasn’t something most people feel. It was something so strong it took everything in me to not fall to my knees in defeat. In a happy defeat where I surrendered my heart to you.” I felt as if my heart was going to burst from my chest as I listened. “My body burns with desire for you (y/n). Please. Let me show you how you make me feel. Let me love you.”
I licked my lips, suddenly aware of how dry my mouth felt. I took a deep breath, hoping some of the fresh night air would clear my lust-clouded mind for a moment. “Yes,” I said. “Yes, yes, yes, yes. Yes a million times.” I could feel a large grin growing on my face and Peter was wearing a matching one. He grabbed my face in his hands before bringing us together for a kiss. It didn’t take long for the kiss to deepen as his hands left my face and traveled down my bare top before playing with the band of my shorts. I inched towards the edge of the counter before sliding off, our lips parting for a moment as my feet hit the ground before immediately reuniting.
He roughly pulled down my shorts and panties in one motion, letting the clothes hit the ground. I followed suit, pulling down his sweatpants and boxers. We parted for a moment, the moonlight shining through the window that sat over the sink allowing enough light so that I could see the true length of him. I had only a few moments to admire him, the thickness of his cock was sure to stretch me out deliciously, before he turned me around. I bent over the counter, the cool stone pressing against my naked skin. His hands gripped my hips to hold me in place before he pushed into me.
I let out a loud moan, causing him to put a hand over my mouth. He stayed in place, leaning over so that his mouth was next to my ear. “We have to be quiet. Unless you want both our families to see what we’re doing.” I nodded in understandance as he stood up straight again. He started by moving slowly. He pulled out halfway before pushing in all the way to the base. I felt my pussy flutter around him. He continued this slow rhythm for a while, testing out the water while stretching me out to fit him completely.
Once I felt myself start to adjust he started to go faster. I could feel the edge of the counter dig into my stomach each time my body was thrusted forward. My breasts moved in rhythm with Peter, my weight being supported by my forearms which were propped on top of the counter. His fingers dug into my hips as he fucked me. The kitchen was filled with the sound of skin slapping skin and our muffled moans as we did our best to stay quiet. The smell of sweat and sex hovered in the room. The moon acted as a spotlight for our indecent act. My vision was obstructed by my hair which was now a mess, strands of it sitting in front of my face.
“Peter, please,” I moaned quietly. I could feel myself getting closer, my legs now weaker than before as my arms were the only thing holding me up. Peter sensed this, using his hands that were on my hips to lift me up. I felt my mouth open, but no noise came out as my mind became overtaken with pleasure. I could hear Peter let out a groan as I felt myself collapse around him. I let my head fall forward as I attempted to recover from my orgasm. The pleasure started to become more bearable as Peter continued to fuck me. His thrusts were becoming more desperate. Just as I started to think he couldn’t be any rougher, he pulled out.
“Get on your knees,” he commanded. The way he spoke brought butterflies to my stomach. He spoke much more forcefully than before, his voice laced with lust as he was too concerned with his own release to speak gently to me. I obeyed, opening my mouth for him unprompted. I started moving my head for him, wanting to make him feel just as good as he made me feel. His head fell back as his hip thrusted forward. I fought back the reflex to gag as his cock buried itself deep within my throat. His hand pushed on the back of my head, keeping me in place as I felt the beginning spurt of a warm and bitter liquid shooting down my throat. I swallowed all of it greedily, wanting to have as much of Peter as I could.
As the last drop of his cum slid down my throat, he slowly pulled away. I wiped away the small dribble of drool that had fallen down my chin. I looked up at him and he looked down at me, a smile on his face. His hand ran down the side of my head before caressing my face. I slowly got up, my legs still slightly weak. “Wow,” I said, slightly out of breath. Peter let out a soft chuckle before pulling me in for a kiss. We quietly got dressed. Peter grabbed my hand, leading me to his room. Our clothes didn’t stay on for too long as they quickly found their way to his bedroom floor. The night was filled with whispers of confessions of love, hands in hair, and lips pressed on naked skin. The next morning I would wake up, afraid that it had all been a dream before I turned to see Peter’s face on the pillow next to me. Then, a smile matching Peter’s sleepy one would form on my face.

When He Sees Me
Pairing: Kirishima x f!reader
Warning: NSFW, Minors DNI, Oral (Male and Female Receiving), Penetration, Just general sex I guess
As a waitress in a diner, it wasn’t uncommon to have regular patrons. You often saw a group of nurses come in for mimosas and pancakes after finishing a night shift, a pair of retired old men who set up a small, mobile tv to watch old movies while slowly eating their lunch, and a gaggle of grumpy middle aged women who always tip you with spare change and life advice. One regular that you always look forward to seeing is Pro-Hero Red Riot. He started coming by the diner a few months ago, looking for a quick meal after finishing a long patrol and, even though you could tell he was tired, he greeted you with a big, toothy grin and introduced himself as Kirishima.
Since that first night, he started regularly eating dinner at the diner every Monday, always sitting at the same table in the back of the restaurant and always looking so happy to see you. He took the time to ask how you were doing, he was patient and kind when you were having a particularly busy shift, and he always tipped very well. He was, undoubtedly, your favorite customer.
This Monday, you were surprised to see that Kirishima wasn’t alone when he walked into the diner. Standing next to him was Pro-Hero Dynamight, wearing his signature scowl as he looked at you with annoyance. You had to admit, you were a little frightened to see him in person. He was rather intimidating and it was a stark contrast to Kirishima’s disarming nature.
Kirishima saw you freeze as his best friend gave you a death glare. He rubbed the back of his neck as he leaned down and gave you a sympathetic smile, “Don’t mind him, he gets hangry. Can we have my normal table?”
“Sure!” You squeak nervously. You grab two menus for the large men and quickly walk them back to their table. After they’ve taken their seats, you whip out your notepad and pen. “Can I start you with something to drink?”
Kirishima gives you a smile as he looks up into your eyes. “I’ll just have water. How’s your night been?”
You can feel your cheeks warming up at his attention. He was always so genuine when he spoke to you, with his head resting on his fist and looking at you like you’re the only person in the room. You meet his eye contact and tuck some hair behind your ear as you reply. “It’s been good. A little slow, but that just means I have more time to read between tables.”
His eyebrows rise at that. “Oh? What are you reading?” You open your mouth to respond, but you’re interrupted by a cough next to you. You turn your head and see Dynamight with his arms crossed and his death glare now focused on Kirishima. You quickly realize that you never took his drink order.
“I’m so sorry! What can I get you to drink?” You respond hastily. Without looking at you, he grumbled a low “Water” and you left to get their drinks. As you came back, you could see them both leaning over the table and whispering about something.
“Just tell her, idiot,” Dynamight whispered loudly to Kirishima as you set their water on the table.
“Tell me what?” You ask, innocently looking at Kirishima. His face went almost as red as his hair as he waved his hands in front of him.
“Nothing! Don’t worry about it,” he laughed as he looked pointedly at his blonde friend. Dynamite groaned at this, clearly annoyed with this interaction.
“If you don’t tell her, I will. I’m sick of you talking about it all the time,” he crossed his arms again and looked at Kirishima with an eyebrow raised, daring him to take on his challenge. Kirishima looked horrified for a split second before he looked at you and ultimately looked away, a soft blush painting his cheeks as he started to speak.
“I have a little crush on you,” he admits, making Dynamight snort. Kirishima frowned at his friend before he continued, “Ok, it’s not little. I think you’re beautiful and you’re all I can think about. Can I take you out sometime?” He finally looked up at you, hopeful and nervous after his confession. You stared at him with your mouth agape as your face started burning up. You were shocked that he felt this way, but you weren’t displeased. You always thought that Kirishima was handsome and you loved the brief amount of time you got to spend with him each Monday.
As you tried to wrap your mind around the situation, you could see Kirishima’s face fall. You realize that it had been a minute and you still hadn’t responded to his question. “Yes! Of course, I’d love to! Are you free Friday?”
Kirishima’s face brightens at this, excitedly saying, “Really? Yeah, let’s do Friday!” He stands up with a big grin on his face, raising his hand to high-five his friend, and starts to walk out of the diner, with Dynamight following closely behind. You gawk at them as they push the door open to walk out onto the sidewalk.
“Wait! Aren’t you forgetting something?” You giggle as the redhead turns around, looking as if he had an epiphany and starts walking back to where you're rooted at his table.
“Oh, yeah,” he laughs sheepishly as he pulls out a large bill from his wallet and places it on the table, presumably to pay for the water that neither of them drank.
You blink before you push the bill back into his hand and say, “No, don’t you need my phone number?”
Kirishima blinks back at you and nods, pulling his phone from his pocket and handing it to you as a fresh blush paints his cheeks. You giggle again as you input your number, acutely aware of Kirishima staring over your shoulder, his large frame invading your space. You hand his phone back to him with a dizzy smile, his hand brushing yours as he takes it from you.
Kirishima meets your eyes and flashes you another smile, “I’ll text you!” And then he was out the door, meeting up with his scowling friend and walking away from the diner.
_
Kirishima did, in fact, text you. During the days leading up to your date, you spent every spare moment you could texting each other, updating each other throughout the day of what you were doing and texting late into the night, getting to know each other. You also swapped photos back and forth, nothing raunchy, just little snapshots of your day. You would send photos of you curled up with your cat, cooking dinner, drinking wine. He would send photos of himself at the gym, walking with Dynamight, and showing himself looking bored as he filled out paperwork.
One picture in particular had your mouth going dry and your stomach doing flips. Around midday on Wednesday he sent you a picture of him sitting on top of a criminal, pinning him to the ground with one hand on the back of his head, the selfie taken at an angle above Kirishima’s head and showed off the sweat stuck to his brow as he grinned proudly at the camera. You zoomed in on the picture, admiring his pectoral muscles and chiseled abs, imagining how it might feel to have him pin you down like that. You texted back a simple “Be careful!” before rushing to the restroom in the diner to splash cold water on your face.
When Friday came, you were eager to see Kirishima. It had been a while since you had been on a date, so you took your time getting ready, sipping on a chilled glass of wine to calm your nerves. The restaurant you agreed to meet at was close to your apartment, so you knew you could walk there and didn’t need to worry about driving. When you arrived, you could see Kirishima already at a table, wearing a simple white button down tucked into black slacks. A few buttons were undone at the top of his shirt, showing off his pecs and some of the black hair that littered his chest.
When he saw you walking up, he broke out in a massive grin, standing up and wrapping you in a warm hug, landing a quick kiss on your cheek. He pulled away, still grinning, to pull out your chair for you to sit down. Your cheeks were burning red from the affection as you sat down and said, “Thank you.”
Kirishima sat across from you and took the time to look you up and down as you started perusing the menu. His gaze swept across the gentle features of your face, admiring the curve of your lips which was accentuated with your lipgloss, and continued to move his gaze down past your exposed neck to land on your cleavage. Your dress loosely fits your curves, and he can’t help but stare.
The rest of your evening seemed like a blur, you and Kirishima falling into a rhythm of talking, laughing, and drinking. Together you share a bottle of wine, various appetizers, and, at one point, shots of tequila. You were feeling warm and giggly from the booze and the company, it felt nice. Under the table, Kirishima had kicked out his long legs and intertwined them with yours, playing footsie as he looked at you dreamily. The waiter eventually interrupts you to ask if you would like dessert. You and Kirishima share a look before he declines the waiter's offer. As Kirishima pays the bill, you reach across the table to graze your fingers over his knuckles, gently asking, “Want to have dessert at my place?”
Kirishima’s hungry, red eyes meet yours at your suggestion and he simply nods before throwing some money on the bill and grabbing your hand to pull you out of the restaurant. You lead the way down the street, walking swiftly with Kirishima’s hand on your back, keeping you close. When you get into your apartment elevator, Kirishima doesn’t hesitate to grab your face and crash his lips to yours. It feels as if the events of the week have been leading up to this moment, and the release of tension between the two of you has you moaning into his lips.
The elevator ride is short, and you’re pulling away from him before you really want to to lead you both to your apartment door. You fumble with your keys as Kirishima holds onto your hips, pressing his chest to your back and laying soft, wet kisses to your neck. When your door finally swings open, Kirishima is quick to turn you around, wrapping his arms around your waist and holding you as close as he can while he bullies his tongue into your mouth. He blindly kicks your door shut and starts walking you backwards into your apartment, practically lifting you off the ground to keep your mouth glued to his. When he pulls back for air, he can’t help but groan when he sees your disheveled state. You hair is a mess from his hands wandering in it in the elevator, you dress is pulled down dangerously low, exposing more of your cleavage with one strap falling off your shoulder, and your bruised lips are agape as you look at him with glassy eyes.
“You know, I think I changed my mind. I do want dessert,” he states simply before lifting you up, wrapping your legs around his waist and walking through your apartment, searching for your bedroom. You take this opportunity to attack his neck, doing your best to leave your mark on him while your hands fist in his hair.
Before you can do too much damage, you are dropped unceremoniously on your bed, startling your cat who was sleeping peacefully on your pillow. “Sorry buddy,” Kirishima mumbles without looking at the animal, too focused on running his hot hands up your thighs and under your dress. He wraps his strong fingers around the edges of your underwear, pushing his thumb into the fabric at your crotch and feeling how you’re already soaking through your underwear and wetting his thumb. He brings his hand back to examine the glistening digit briefly before sticking it in his mouth and sucking your essence off it, his eyes meeting yours as you gasp his name.
He frowns at the use of his surname. “Call me Eijiro,” he says gruffly.
His tone and intense stare warm you up, turning your cheeks red and filling your stomach with butterflies. “Eijiro,” you moan, as he goes back to rubbing you through your underwear.
“Good girl,” he smirks at you. Then you hear a ripping noise and you realize that your underwear is now just a limp piece of fabric being tossed behind Kirishima’s shoulder.
“Eijiro!” You exclaim, shocked that your favorite pair of panties are completely destroyed.  Kirishima just laughs at you.
“Don’t worry, precious. I’ll buy you a new pair.” Then he was leaning in and swiping his tongue across your wet heat, making you gasp at the contact. He uses his big hands to push your dress up past your hips and bury his tongue inside your pussy, thrusting in and out and drinking your essence as you moan his name and grab fistfuls of his hair.
His hot tongue works its way up to your clit, circling it as he moans against you, before wrapping his lips around it and sucking. He brings one hand down from your hips and slowly works a finger inside you while you hiss at the stretch. His hands are so big, like everything else about him, and if you weren’t so wet then the intrusion might have hurt. He starts working this finger inside you, thrusting in and out at a steady pace and curling to hit that spongy spot inside you each time. His attention on your clit persists, making you whimper, and soon you can hear the loud squelching noises of his finger moving inside you while you sucks and licks at your clit.
When he pushes a second finger in, you let out a loud moan, throwing your head back and doing your best to buck your hips up to meet his thrusts. He groans against you and uses his one hand on your hip to halt your movements, holding you in place while he starts pistoning his fingers into you. You feel tears beading at your eyes as you start heading towards a familiar cliff.
“Oh god, Eijiro!” you gasp as you near your peak.
Kirishima pulls back briefly, “Cum for me, honey. You can do it. Cum on my fingers.” His fingers don’t relent and his mouth goes back to abusing your clit as you let out a pitiful sob, gushing around his fingers and clamping down on him. He works you through your orgasm, your quiet cries spurring him on as he continues to slowly push his fingers into you.
Eventually, he pulls away, kissing up your body and dragging your dress with him until it is over your head and on the floor. He leans down to place a kiss on your lips while he grabs your breasts and flicks your hardening nipples with his thumbs. You moan when you taste yourself on his tongue and then your pushing at his shoulders so that he’s hovering over you. Before he can say anything, you grab at the edges of his shirt and pull to try to pop the buttons off his shirt. It doesn’t work, so you try again, but still fail.
You pout at his indestructible shirt and he laughs at you again. Then, he sits up and grabs the edges where you had and rips the buttons open himself. You gasp as he shucks the ruined material from his shoulders with a cocky smirk and you reach up to run your hands over his newly exposed chest, admiring the way black hair is scattered across his chest and leads down his abs to below his belt. Your mouth starts to water at the idea of what his pants might be hiding, so you sit up with him to start laying kissing on chest and stomach while your hands work his belt open.
When he’s finally free from his confines, you can’t help but gasp at his size, your eyes widening as you take him in.
He’s thick and long, the weight of him causing his length to fall despite him being fully hard. The black hair that you admired on his torso is neatly trimmed around the base of his cock, which sits directly atop his full, round balls. You clench your thighs together at the idea of him filling you up. Part of you doesn’t think he’ll fit, but another, more excited, part of you is eager to try.
You tentatively wrap a hand around the base of his cock, looking up at him through your tear stained lashes for approval. His hand reaches down to fist your hair, nodding and pulling your face closer to him. You bring your other hand up to wrap around him as well and you poke your tongue out to give him kitten licks around his head. He groans and tightens his hand in your hair, thrusting his hips a little, wiping his head and smearing precum along your cheek. You sit up on your knees for better leverage and bend down to wrap your lips around his head, feeling his fist tighten again as he starts dragging your mouth along his cock.
Kirishima knows he’s big, he doesn’t want to hurt you, so he’s gentle as he fucks your face. When he starts hitting the back of your throat and tears start spilling down your cheeks, his other hand comes up and he uses his thumbs to wipe them from your face and cradle your cheek, feeling the way his length fills your cheeks.
His moans are loud, he wants you to know how good you’re making him feel. He tells you things like You’re doing so good, baby and You’re taking my cock so well. When his moans get louder, you think he’s going to cum, so you twist one hand at the base of him and use your other hand to hold and squeeze his balls. Right when you expect him to finish down your throat, he’s using your hair to pull you back, looking down at your tear stained face while his chest heaves up and down from the effort of holding off his orgasm.
“Don’t want to cum yet. I wanna fuck you,” he says, pushing your shoulders until your back hits the bed. You nod your head like a woman possessed while he kicks his pants off and pulls a condom out of his pocket. You want to tell him not to worry about it, you’re on birth control, but you understand that as a Pro-Hero he may want to take certain precautions. Next time you think to yourself as he rolls the latex down his length and lines himself up with your leaking hole.
When he pushes in, you gasp at the burn of it, and new tears start rolling down your cheeks as he continues to push his monster length inside you. Kirishima knows it probably hurts, but he ignores your weak cries of Wait, you’re too big because he knows that the best way for the pain to stop is to just push through it. When he’s fully seated inside you, he just sits there, leaning down to kiss the tears from your face as you sob weakly. You want him to fuck you, but the stretch of him is making you clamp down so hard that he’s unable to move from his spot inside you.
“Relax, baby. You gotta stop clenching,” Kirishima says through gritted teeth. He looks as if he’s in pain, too.
“I can’t,” you say. “You’re too big, Eiji. I can’t do it.” You let out another broken sob, wishing your body would listen to what you wanted. Kirishima didn’t say anything, he just leaned down to kiss you, shoving his tongue in your mouth again and making out with you to distract you from the pressure of his length inside you. His lips moving against yours have you warming up again, and you can feel yourself flutter around his length, your wetness giving him enough lubricant to slowly pull out and push back in at a shallow pace.
When you start moaning at this action, Kirishima takes this as a cue that you’re feeling good, you want more. He leans back from kissing you and grabs the backs of your thighs, pushing your legs up and close to your chest, and starts fucking you faster and harder. You cry out at the new angle, watching him as he watches his cock disappear inside of you, his mouth hanging open as he releases long, loud moans. When he looks at your face, he smirks.
“Does that feel good, sweetheart?” He asks, continuing his brutal pace. You nod your head, holding his eye contact and reaching up to play with your breasts, tugging on your nipples and moaning out his name. He grunts at your display, pushing himself harder into you and reaching down to swipe fast circles around your clit.
You can feel that coil tightening again in your stomach, nearing your second orgasm of the night as Kirishima’s hips increase in speed. You start to feel delirious from the pleasure, drooling and babbling about how good he feels, how he’s so big, how you’re so close to cumming again.
“Yeah, baby? You want to cum again?” Kirishima asks lowly, trying to contain himself as you writhe beneath him.
“Yes, yes! Please Eijiro, I want to cum!” Your head is thrown back and you know you won’t last as the head of his cock hits your g-spot over and over and over.
“Cum for me, angel. Cum on my cock, I want to feel you.” Kirishima encourages you, and you listen to him. You arch your back and let out a wail you didn’t know you were capable of as you cum all over his cock, clamping down on him again and holding him in place as he groans at your tight walls. As you’re coming down from your high, Kirishima pushes your legs closer to your chest and fucks you faster and harder than he had all night, chasing his own high. You gasp and watch him as he grunts and groans and moans your name unashamedly, drowning in pleasure.
You moan at the feeling of him dragging inside your wet walls, and you tell him how bad you want him to cum. You tell him you wish he could cum inside you, you want him to fill you up until your dripping cum. It’s too much for Kirishima as he hastily pulls out with a loud groan, ripping the condom off his fat cock and fisting himself until he’s cumming all over your breasts and stomach.
You gaze up at the man above you, his head thrown back as he tries to catch his breath, his length softening in his hand, and you think that he’s beautiful. He looks down at you, sees you covered in his seed, and gives you a shy smile. “Sorry, I got carried away.”
You giggle a little, “It’s ok, I like it.” You smile up at him and rub your hand through his cum on your stomach. He groans again and then leans down to give you a long, wet kiss before leaving the bed to look for a towel. After cleaning up, it doesn’t take long before you’re climbing under the covers, cuddling against Kirishima’s chest as his soft snores lull you to sleep.

Flashback, Midvale 2009
The cold weather of Midvale had started to slowly hit your body as you ran through the field with the rest of your teammates. The sweat ran through your face as you ran along with the group. The bright sky slowly fading into the sunset as the 7 pm set in. The cheers of the tea could be heard as you guys got back to the center after 5 laps.
Your mind never leaves the thought of your oldest sister being home from college, with hope and happiness in your heart at the thought of seeing both of your sisters. After all, it had been a rough year for you, and having your sisters with you was more than enough.
You were pulling your cellphone out to call your mom as you arrived at the dinner which was two blocks away from your school. Your soccer training shirt hanging on your body which had your last name printed on the back, while the grey sweatpants you had stolen from your oldest sister fitted comfortably and a little too big on you.
You were already making a mental list of what you had to order, two chocolate milkshakes, one pound cheeseburger, and three sets of fries with bacon and cheese for Kara. one all American burger without pickles and extra cheese, a half strawberry and half chocolate milkshake, one set of unsalted fries and one set of fries with bacon and cheese for Alex. one set of only bacon fries, one set of nuggets, one cookie and cream milkshake with double cookies and one no vegetables cheese and bacon cheeseburger for you. The rule at the Danvers house was that if you guys ate junk food during the week, then the next day you all had to eat the greens, and well none of you could tell no to your mom after all.
It had been a while since you had come to the dinner, after all, it was where Lucy broke up with you. You couldn't help but have the lingering feeling as you entered immediately looking in the direction of your old spot finding it alone, sighing almost in content as you walked down the hallway on your way to the register only to see two familiar backs and the face of your redheaded sister.
Her eyes had caught yours and without a second thought, you ran as fast as you could when Alex yelled your name. Tackling her into a hug makes you both fall to the floor, a beaming smile on your face as you hug tighter not wanting to let go. “Y/N!”
“Al!” You groaned happily as the two of you fell to the floor laughing.
Moments after falling into the floor, Kara offered both of her hands to pull you guys up but instead she ended up falling with the two of you after you and your oldest sister shared a knowing look.
And as Kara landed on the floor you flung your arm around the blonde and the redhead hugging them as tight as you could while having a beaming smile. Happiness radiating out of you like sunlight and for the first time in the last couple of months, you had a genuine smile on your face.
——
“Mom! I’m home!” You yelled as your redhead sister gave you a piggy ride. Laughing when Alex winced at the sound of your voice is so close to her ear. Entering the house the first thing all of you heard was the voice of your mother.
“Kitchen!”
The four of you moved to the kitchen finding your mother in her glasses at the top with a computer screen full of numbers and diagrams. Your blonde mother didn't hesitate to get up greeting each one of you before speaking in a more motherly tone than before. “I see you guys dinner, just don't stay up too late”
The three of you nodded before Alex let you off her back. And as you went to throw yourself into the cushion. Your mom's voice ringed your ears before you could even think. “I hope you are not going to sit on the couch with training clothes ”
Straighten the posture you looked over to your sisters to see them trying to suppress the laugh that you heard after walking upstairs. Hearing your blonde sister yelled your name after you cursed when your feet entangled together making you fall in the last step of the stairs.
_____
With the TV on, and Princess Diaries playing live. The three of you sat, well more like laid out between the couch and the solo chair which Kara’s boyfriend had claimed as his own every time you guys were in the living room. Your head was on Alex's lap as she moved her fingers through your hair as the movie went through. Kara was laying on the large puff seat trying to be closer to the food.
One moment Mia was about to have her looks changed and the next the TV was on the local news showing the Midvale college in an emergency because of a fire on one of the floors. Neither Kara nor Kenny hesitated before exchanging knowing looks, you kept quiet as the anxiousness began to creep your stomach when you felt your redheaded sister stop her movements, the moment she noticed the looks seeming to catch with the situation.
Both Kenny and Kara got up, sticking with the blunt excuse that they were going to the library to get some homework done, and before Alex or you could say something the two of them were out of the house.
____
Your anxiety hadn't calmed down since the moment the local news started to play, and it felt as it increased every second that went by. You knew what Kara and Kenny were up to, you knew the high school couple was the anonymous ‘superheroes’ the town had been written about for weeks. Your anxiety had gotten worse since Alex left and when you saw your blonde sister get out of the college with smoky hair, it had gotten even worse.
You couldn't even bear the thought of either of them getting hurt. With Alex beginning away from home, from where you could know she was safe and with Kara moving around recklessly with Kenny, whom you didn't trust wasn't helping either because it was the fact running around your head yelling at you and remaining you, you could lose them.
To say that Alex was mad was an understatement, especially after she learned from a very annoying reporter that this wasn't the first time your blonde sister had done something reckless. And with Alex murmuring every five seconds, you could tell she was livid, you knew your redhead sister enough to know she was about to explode because she was scared, worried, and more. Just like you, she couldn't lose anyone else, she was not going to let it happen again.
Midway through the silent riding which Alex sat straightly driving while your blonde sister sat in the back of the car while you tried to keep the calm of the situation as much as you could. You started to play with fingers nervously after Kenny received the Danvers glare from Alex which made the teenage boy immediately excuse himself, running away.
Your mind was so out of your head, you didn't realize you guys had arrived until her yelling voice invaded your ears, and the sound of the closing door broke you out of your trance.
“You don't get to do this, you can’t do this!”
Outside of the car, in front of the garage shelves both of your sisters stood arguing. The heated argument overwhelmed your ears as you watched them. As both of them stubbornly argued with each other, you got out of the seat and walked up to them when Kara made the wrong comment to a livid Alex with a newspaper in her hand.
“Well, who reads the newspaper anymore?” Kara said jokily to your redheaded sister who just shook her head in response.
“Guys?” You said as both of them keep quiet glaring at each other. In a blinking moment, Alex starts to walk away only to be stopped by Kara.
“The real world is about responsibilities about doing what's the best for your future and those you care about,” Alex says softly to your blonde sister, which seems to trigger the blonde as she steps back offended.
Kara yells after letting out a sarcastic laugh “That’s what I'm doing, I'm being responsible with my powers! And staying here with Kenny is part of that”
“No, Kara! What you are doing is irresponsible and stupid.”
“You've been in college for two years and you have all the answers?!” The blonde reproaches as she takes a step back from your oldest sister.
“No, I have seen what the real world looks like”
“Okay, then enlighten us with your precious knowledge Alex”
“Kara” You murmured only for her to hear as she kept her stubborn stance.
“There is so much more than this town, there is so much more than using your powers to save people. There is a whole world out there in which I'm happy and I'm more than sure you are going to be too ”
“So this about college now?”
“You just got accepted to the college of your dreams, you have already decided what you wanna do but you haven't told him. You are thinking of sacrificing what you want and what's best for you, don't you see it?!” The redhead yelled
“This is the thing I'm supposed to do, save people.”
“Dammit Kara, just accept that NCU is the best for you. Please, this is the best for you, let yourself go for it. Do it, I promise it's going to be the best decision of your life, it was mine and I can't be happier to be out of this town just like you are going to be.”
The moment the words left your oldest sister's mouth, the understanding and accepting silence from your blonde sister. Your eyes strained with tears which you try to blink away before trying to walk out of the garage until the voice of your sister pulled you out of your path.
“Y/N?” Kara commented as they watched your back almost walking out of the garage before turning around.
“I'm not going to just stand here, hearing you guys because I'm trying to hold on to something as the two of you want to get out of here without any second thought” You explained to them, keeping your distance.
“You decided of going to Stanford in a blink of an eye, like if you couldn't even stand to be here anymore. You come when you have to, mom was worried so you came that it’s why you didn't go to Europe but you are counting the minutes to get out of here”
“And since you started to date Kennedy, I never see you anymore. It's like you are here but you don't want to be because don't think I didn't see how your face lit up the moment NCU’s acceptance package came. And now you don't wanna stay but you don't wanna break the boy's heart! And I'm given false hope every day by the guy that you are going to stay but the truth is that you like Alex can't wait to get out of here”
Finishing with your lip trembling, and the obvious tears coming down your cheeks as the last few sentences made your voice crack. “I'm tired because all I feel and all I see is you guys wanting to leave just like he did. And I'm happy for you guys because you guys are happy but it's killing me inside”
You didn't even wait for their response before turning around rushing through the house immediately, passing through the kitchen unacknowledged your worried mother as she watched you rush with running tears with both of your sisters walking out of the garage with sorry expressions on their faces after you.
____
Both of your sisters sat on the kitchen island silently as your mother watched them closely, both of them would take turns trying to walk upstairs to see if your door was finally open only to fail as neither of them went up more than two stairs.
Your mom watched them under glasses as she kept working letting them think for a few minutes before she would intervene. She had heard everything from the garage and she had seen that it was worse than before the moment you ran upstairs with tears streaming down your cheeks.
Seeing Alex come back for the fifth time to the chair scratching her scalp as she sat, and seeing Kara stop eating the cookies she had baked yesterday made her get out of her chair as she spoke.
“I know, and I understand you girls. Because I have experienced it but just think for a moment and try to understand her position?”
Alex and Kara nodded calmly as your blonde mother spoke. Both of them were a little bit more relaxed than before as your mother began explaining.
“She is scared, and her coping mechanisms are not the best. It's scary for her because she is feeling you guys are leaving her just like Jeremiah and Lucy recently did. She is trying and sometimes things work for her and others don't but just like Kara she tends to hide her emotions if it means keeping someone she loves happy.”
“We’re not leaving her” Both of them whispered immediately to themselves questioning how you could think they would leave you.
“And she doesn't understand that you guys are going to leave and come back because some part of her is screaming at her that you guys didn't stay because she made you leave. She doesn't realize you guys are going to come back because she believes that if she believes you guys are not leaving forever then she will get her hopes up, which hopes are going to fall along the way”
“Just like they did with Lucy and Dad” Alex concluded watching Kara put her forehead on the island with sadness.
Alex nodded at your mom’s words before getting up and walking out to the backyard leaving your blonde sister with your mom in comfortable silence.  “Give her time, she has always needed it and that's the way she heals we can't force it but we can support it”
Your mom knew your sister well enough the blonde was blaming herself as she kept her head down. Your mother rubbed her back comfortably as she waited for Kara to lift her head.
“I- I should have known” Kara sobbed into your mother’s chest as your mom comforted her while the blonde cried.
The blonde said her voice cracking in the middle as the tears kept streaming down her cheeks.  “How could-.... How could she think that? How could I let her think that?”
“Honey, it's not that easy she can't help her insecurities especially with what has happened recently”
“I should have been here, I shouldn't have assumed i- ” She started shaking her head as she got up off the stool only to be stopped by the soft voice of your mother putting her hand on your sister's shoulder as she spoke.
“Kara it's not your fault, it’s no one's fault. She needs to believe you guys are not leaving her, that you guys are going to be with her always no matter what but now she needs time. Sweetheart, she is processing it, she needs to be ready to hear the truth”
Your blonde sister nodded without a second thought before seating back on the stool starting to eat a cookie from the batch.
_______
You sat on the disorganized desk with homework overflowing the table, only to be ignored as you kept playing the guitar with headphones glaring your ears with music as you played. Your soccer uniform was barely inside the laundry bin with the rest of the room full of cables on the floor, drums at the right side of the desk, and the guitar rack at the side of the bed. Your camera was sitting at the end of the bed table with the accessories while the basketball and the soccer balls remained at the side of the door.
You heard more than once your mom saying ‘Messy room, messy mind’ and until now you hadn't noticed the truth to her words. Your mind was over the place, your trust and abandonment issues coming to play at the worst time of the day.
You couldn't help but kick yourself remembering what you had said to your sisters, you couldn't stop the voice inside your head screaming at you because of your selfishness.
How could you break down and ruin their happiness, you didn't want it to hurt, you didn't want to think about them leaving because if you did it hurt you, it broke you. And you couldn't ignore it as much as you tried to.
‘You can't just ignore yourself hurting, Y/N’ That's what your therapist said to you months after losing your dad. And deep down you knew it was true but you had seen the smiles on your sisters' faces, you couldn't just be an obstacle to their happiness.
After letting everything out of your system, you knew it was normal that they would leave and come back. You wanted it to believe but you were scared to do so. Because if you did and they leave forever then you knew you were going to be devastated, they were a big piece of you just like you were theirs or that's what you hoped for.
The soft knock on your door pulled you out of your head, The grumpy feeling in your stomach didn't help the situation the moment you saw both of your sisters standing at your bedroom door looking very sorry.
Without a second thought, you left the door open, walking to the bed and sitting looking at your fidgeting hands on your lap as they continued to do the same. Kara at your right side and Alex at your left, the room overtook a complete silence for a few minutes before Kara spoke first.
“We are not leaving you” She claimed reassuringly
The lump in your throat felt heavier as they waited for your response, the silence which overwhelmed the room made you feel worse. Alex and Kara had shared a look as you kept looking at your hands before throwing each one an arm around your shoulders hugging you closely.
“We are not going to leave you, we are going to be here for you, always” Alex whispered into your temple after you kept silent but grabbed the redhead's arm.
With bloodshot eyes, you looked up to meet both of your sisters before you asked quietly afraid of the answer. “You promise?”
Both of them met your eye and you could feel their concern the moment their watery eyes met yours. They hadn't seen you like this since the breakdown you had months after your father’s death, the day you first went to the therapist and it scared and hurt them more than ever.
Kara and Alex without hesitation stakes out their hands with their pinky up, as you hesitantly pinky promise as they spoke simultaneously. “We promise”
Flashback ends
Sweat running down your face as you stood in front of the brunette archer, her face running with blush as she kept punching and dodging you. Her baby hairs sticking out of her ponytail as she kept going. The only sounds heard in the place were the shaky breaths the two of you released every once in a while
Thea remarked as she blocked your punch with her arm “Come on, princess that's all you got?”
“Actions speak better than words, speedy” You responded softly as you dodged the last three punches the brunette tried to throw while capturing her fist and twisted enough so she couldn’t get out of your grip without hurting her.
A sly smirk on your face as she struggles, finally after a few seconds you let go stepping backward. The Queen woman pushed back a little harder before grabbing the sticks from the side of the wall seeing you do the same.
“You know now that I see it, you do have good bone structure” She murmured loud enough only to be heard by you as she scanned your exposed stomach.
You shook your head as the words left her mouth, immediately beginning to hit her with sticks. Both of you missing a few times, scratching yourselves or the other with the stick.
Both of you were so concentrated in the sparring neither of you noticed the entering presence of Oliver until the man entered the mat with sticks and kept it going. The vigilante didn't hesitate in any of his moves and didn't wait either when Thea fell to the floor with a groan after getting hit by him in the stomach.
One moment the two of you were scratching, hitting, and blocking each other with the sticks, and the next the two of you were throwing good old punches. The two of you stopped the moment Felicity yelled for an emergency in the City Hall, neither of you commenting the way you had furiously gone for each other like people usually did in the Russian Mafia fighting clubs, for blood.

sometimes, i don't know what haunts me more.. the memories of you... or the happy person i used to be.
--
two years and two months ago.
spencer came into the bullpen with a gleam in his eye. a shy kind of happiness. the kind that makes you blush, and makes you embarrassed. the kind that makes people feel like kids again.
vivian came in with the same smile. the same red on her cheeks, the same glint in her eyes.
they both felt like kids again. happy, and in love.
they held hands under the table in the conference room. everyone noticed. and everyone smiled a bit more, knowing that two happy people are now making each other happier.
the night before, vivian and spencer had kissed in the rain under the stars. after an eternity of falling for each other, they finally gave in.
when they came in the next day, vivian's blonde hair seemed a little more golden, her eyes a little more warm. spencer's face seemed softer, and relaxed.
they played in the park, and watched nineties movies, and ate thai on the roof while watching the stars. all with the biggest goofiest smiles on their faces.
because you're nothing if not crazy when you're in love.
two months ago
blonde hair stained brown.
pink lips turned red.
a realtionship gone sour.
they broke up last week. they stood in the rain once again. but this time the rain didn't bring hope, and a new start. this time the rain fell, tainting the blue sky gray.
the girls heart shattered onto the pavement. pieces on the sidewalk, pieces in the grass. pieces being washed away by the rain.
no one knows what they said to each other, how it ended.
all they know is that the cuts on vivian's wrist are fresh, and that the numbers on her scale have rapidly declined.
she came into work on monday, her golden blonde hair painted dark brown, her young pink lips stained blood red. everyone stared, except spencer. she stared at no-one, but spencer.
she was there for a day after the breakup. maybe two. long enough to know that someone else had already brought a gleam into spencer's eyes. that someone else was already making him happy.
no one saw her after that. she left quickly and quietly. one day, her desk was personalized and filled with framed pictures, the next it was empty and bare. you could say that her desk matched her heart.
now, she lies on the floor of her bathroom. head pounding, rivers of red seeping onto the tiled floor.
one month ago.
seven men stabbed twice in the heart, all dead, over the course of two weeks. all left with red carnations.
the bau accepts the invitation to take on the case.
vivian watches the news coverage announcing the bureaus involvement, a smirk dancing on her face as she applies a new coat of lipstick.
one week ago, at the bar.
the bar is full of bodies. bodies against bodies. dancing, sweating, living.
the tall brunette, with the red lipstick and cold eyes slips off her coat, revealing the small black dress underneath. the heartless predator.
a drunk mans eyes follow the woman's every move. analyzing her every curve, watching the way her lips part. he sets down his glass and walks over. the unsuspecting prey.
he makes his way through the crowd, licking his lips as he nears vivian. her blonde hair, now turned brown, and her blood red lips enchant him.
her finger plays with her straw, spinning it around in her drink as she makes eye contact with him. she tilts her head slyly, and smiles a bit. egging him on.
"jonathan," he says, standing over her.
"cleo," she responds, flipping her dark hair over her exposed shoulder. she stands up, hand on his tie, and leans forward to whisper seductively in his ear:
"let's get out of here, jonathan."
three days ago, at the bau.
"we have a new body," hotch announces as he walks into the room. he pins a few pictures to the board. the first, an image of a smiling man. dark brown hair, dark eyes, and a square jaw. the next few are the body. dumped carelessly in an alleyway. two stabs to the heart, and red carnations scattered onto the body.
"woah," emily says, concern lacing her voice. "that makes fourteen bodies now."
"she's devolving," morgan adds. "speeding up the kills. her last kill was only one day ago, she's getting more dangerous. but she's also more likely to slip up."
the team nods to this, each thinking their own separate thoughts. eventually, they will all come to the same conclusion. the same suspect. but they won't share their ideas until it's too late.
the teams profile:
the unsub is female.
she recently suffered heartbreak, and has a newfound prejudice against men.
she changes her appearance each time. wigs, makeup, etc.
she stabs each victim twice in the heart, which must mean something.
she leaves red carnations at each scene, which means "alas for my poor heart, my heart aches," in some cultures.
she is highly intelligent, driven, but also depressed and self-loathing.
she is likely to have self-inflicted wounds, and possibly try and kill herself.
one day ago, vivian's apartment.
vivian stares in the mirror, and the woman in the mirror stares back at her.
a blonde wig is tossed carelessly on the floor, and boxes of colored contacts join it.
these objects are supposed to be able to change who you are on the outside, but to vivian, they're crushing her even more on the inside.
she doesn't recognize the woman in the mirror. the dark straight hair, red lips, and hollow eyes. the woman in the tight dress and heels.
she looks down, trying to hold back the tears that threaten to spill over her face. this isn't the girl that spencer loved. she isn't the girl that spencer loved anymore.
and then she looks back up, and her heart stops. because there she is.
the girl in the mirror has long, wavy blonde hair and sparkling green eyes. her eyes are full of life, not hollow and lifeless. her lips are pink, her cheeks flushed, her face innocent. her sundress hangs perfectly around her frame, and underneath her bright converse her socks mismatch.
the girl that spencer loved. the girl vivian stopped being when spencer stopped loving here.
the image takes vivian's breath away for a second, and a tear slips down her face, but she doesn't stop staring at the reflection, hoping that if she stares hard enough the girl will die and leave vivian alone.
her stare turns into a smirk. smirking at the innocent, dumb, oblivious girl. laughing silently at her.
the girl was oblivious to the heartbreak that awaited her. the emptiness that would creep into her soul.
the girl that was so blindly in love with the man that didn't care for her, even though he acted like he did.
maybe she was still in love with him. just a bit. even after he broke her heart, she still loved him. but she also hated him.
fuck spencer.
a couple of hours ago, bau.
vivian's face is front and center on the tv. her blonde hair, green eyes, and large smile.
the team sits around the table, shocked at the conclusion they came to.
vivian, their ex-coworker who always seemed so perfect and happy, is the unsub? vivian killed fifteen men?
they may want to deny it, but they all know it makes sense.
she broke up with spencer and completely fell apart. she quit her job. spencer says she was angry and sad and completely broken, hence the hate towards men. and the killings started around the time her and spencer broke up. even the number of stabs on each body makes sense. two stabs for two years her and spencer were together.
they're all shocked, but most can still talk, and move, and discuss. spencer is just frozen.
how could vivian have killed someone?
forty-five minutes ago, vivian's apartment.
spencer looks around the apartment, flashlight held and gun drawn.
when he used to come over, the apartment was homey and life like. plants would hang from the ceilings, and would sit on shelves. books were scattered on tables, and the floor to ceiling bookshelf would be disorganized. she used to have pictures of her and the team, and of spencer everywhere. but now it's bare, and empty. if spencer knew any better he would think no one lived there at all.
the team does a quick search, clearing all the rooms before gathering again in the living room.
"she's obviously not here, but she knows that we know it's her. she's been wanting us to know." derek says, and glances at spencer. "spencer, is there anywhere she liked to go, anywhere close?" he asks, and spencer furrows his brow.
"the roof! she liked to watch the sky!" he says suddenly, and hotch nods. the team climbs up the flights of stairs to get to the roof, which at first glance appears to be empty, until spencer notices a woman sitting against the chimney.
"spencer no way, she's armed man," derek says as spencer moves forward, but spencer tells him it's ok. he knows her. she has no intention of hurting him.
vivian stares at him, a tears falling down her face. spencer sits down next to her, eyes widening when he notices the knife in her hands. pointed at her own heart.
"vivian..." he says cautiously, taking in her died hair and red lips, "this isn't you. put the knife down." at this, vivian collapses into a fit of sobs, trailing mascara down her cheeks.
"i'm so sorry spencer," her voice is shaky and she's crying, but she keeps the knife pointed upwards towards her heart.
"please vivian just put the knife down," spencer whispers, his voice cracking a bit.
"i can't spencer, i have to do this," she sobs. "i killed....i killed so many people and i can't stop myself and i still love you but i hate you and you broke my heart but i have to do this spencer."
the boys eyes are sad, because deep down he knows he can't stop her from doing this. but he'll still try,
"please vivian, i-i love you," he pleads, but vivian just shakes her head, and laughs through her tears.
"no you don't spencer," she whispers, smiling a bit. "but it's ok. you will never have to hurt the way you know that i do," she says, and spencer knows whats coming. her grip on the knife tightens, and in a flash she jams it into her heart, gasping a bit as it deepens.
"no!" spencer yells, as she slumps and collapses. blood trickles from her lips, and her tears spill from her eyes. but still, she smiles. because it's finally over.
her final breath isn't sad, it's relieved. because she doesn't have to suffer anymore. the sadness, pain, and anger is finally gone.
spencer is tearless. her death was shocking, sad, but it was truthful. maybe she deserved it, even wanted it, but spencer knew she was going somewhere where she was happier.
happier without him.
as spencer stares at her body, laid out on the concrete, he sees the girl he loved. the blonde hair, sea green eyes, and the innocent face.
innocence, purity.
and all he can think about as she's wheeled into the ambulance, covered by the blanket is who she used to be. who she really is.
the beautiful, happy girl.
maybe one day, in another life she'll find true love.
who knows?
all anyone knows is that the day that her heart poured a red river onto the concrete, she started over. she began anew.
and maybe that was better for everyone.

-
His kiss was gentle at first. Holding your face, one hand cupping each cheek, he pulled you in as close as humanly possible. He was taking his time, revelling in the thrill that was cascading through him. The warmth of his body radiated against yours.
Lips locked with yours, his hands travelled slowly from your face. They moved down your neck and arms until they reached your waist. His fingers dug into your sides briefly causing your lips to part at the shocking sensation. His tongue accepted the invitation and eagerly slid into your mouth.
You trailed your fingers down his back, feeling along his flexed muscles. Your heads rotated to vary pressure as your tongues danced together.
An overwhelming desire rushed through you. Your legs were like jelly. You melted into him, and he willingly held you up with the arm he had wrapped around your waist.
Gradually, after what felt like a blissful eternity, the two of you pulled apart. Both your breaths shaky. With your eyes still closed, you pressed your forehead to his and placed the palms of your hands on his chest; feeling his heart racing.
You looked up slowly to meet the hungry hazel gaze of your partner.
With a sharp gasp your eyes darted open. You sat up briskly in your bed, one hand on your chest while the other covered your parted mouth. Fuck. Oh no. No, no, no. That did not just happen.
You tried to shake the weird feeling away but every time you closed your eyes, to try and steady your breathing, you were met by that hazel gaze. His gaze. A lump formed in your throat. Fuck.
Ethan stirred in bed beside you.
“Mhmm babe...” He yawned, grabbing your attention. “Is everything okay?” You let out an inaudible sigh before lying back down beside him.
“I’m okay. Go back to sleep.” You replied quietly. “It was just a dream.”
You felt him nod next to you. He kissed your shoulder, and turned to his other side quickly dozing back off.
You however lay sleepless the rest of the night. Every time you closed your eyes, your mind replayed the the kiss on loop. Even though it really was just a dream, it felt so realistic. It was as if you were really kissing him, as if you were really looking into his eyes.
Fuck.
You just had a dream about kissing Spencer. The emotions it stirred inside of you were dangerous to say the least. What the hell did this mean? And more importantly, how the hell are you going to be able to act normally around him now?
The jet landed with a thud. A soft sigh escaped your lips as you tilted your head to look out onto the grey tarmac.
Emily called early hours of the morning advising that there was a new case. As selfish as it may be, you were quite glad because it meant you could avoid Spencer for just a little longer. Which of course worked until you got on the plane.
The brunette doctor sat across from you; as usual. He watched you closely and it didn't take him long to realise that something was on your mind.
“You okay?” His voice soothing. The warm and comforting sound made it impossible for you not to turn to look at him. A half-smile circled your lips. “All good doctor.” You replied calmly. “Just didn't sleep well.”
He placed his elbows on the table that separated you and smiled. “I thought we were past this whole lying to each other thing.” You couldn't help but roll your eyes at his comment. Sitting up in your seat, you straightened your shirt, and lifted one hand up as if to take a pledge. “I swear I am telling the truth.”
Spencer smirked and sat back in his chair. “How formal Y/N.”
“It seemed to be the only way to shut you up doctor.” You teased making him chuckle. The glistening look in his eyes was enough for the flashbacks of your dream to once again greet your mind. Your palms began to sweat.
Thankfully, before Spencer could notice the sudden nervousness in your demeanour, Tara sat down next to you. She instantly engaged Spencer in a conversation which meant you could close your eyes for a moment of peace.
Mainly to calm your nerves.
The rest of the journey was luckily uneventful. Spencer’s undivided attention was on his conversation with Tara, and later on the team’s discussion of the case, which meant you managed to get some quick shut-eye before arriving at the destination.
The afternoon was also going smoothly. You tried to act as normal as you could around him. All you really hoped for was that he couldn't sense any tension of off you since that would lead to questions you couldn't answer.
It helped that first and foremost, the two of you were professionals. Both Spencer and you possessed the ability to compartmentalise. Now, the case came first. Which meant that even if you seemed a little standoffish with the brunette doctor, you could just explain you were focused on work.
“God, I’m starving.” Matt exclaimed leaning back in his chair. He glanced at the time and looked between the group. Luke, Tara, and Rossi all nodded in agreement.
“Coffee for me. A big fat coffee.” You replied with a small smile while getting up on your feet. “Anybody else?” Your eyes locked with Spencer’s. He lifted his hand up as his mouth pursed into a shy half-smile. You couldn't help but smile back.
While Matt and Luke took dinner orders from everyone, you slipped out of the room and headed for the precinct kitchenette.
As you reached for the stack of paper cups, a tiny yawn escaped your lips. Yup, the lack of proper sleep was definitely catching up with you. Especially since you were awake now for close to eighteen hours with no end in sight.
“Hey.” JJ appeared in the doorway; breaking you away from your thoughts. You shifted your weight to face her, and smiled. “Hey, I would have gotten you a coffee too.” You said, but the petite blonde shook her head. “Oh no, I just wanted to talk to you alone for a moment.”
You raised a concerned brow. “Is everything okay?”
She hesitated briefly before taking a step towards you. “Spencer told me about your trip to tour venues the other weekend.” Her voice was low; almost as if she was afraid someone would overhear. “He told me about your conversation. How you wanted to propose back then.”
Right. You shouldn't have been surprised he told JJ. They have been friends long before you came in the picture. You also shouldn't have been surprised that she approached you about this. It was only a matter of time.
“Why would you tell him that?” JJ asked, although it was more of a rhetorical question because she didn't give you a chance to respond. “You know how dark that period of his life was, and how hard your breakup was on him. You know that he only ended things to protect you Y/N. Not a day goes by where he doesn't hate himself for that decision even if back then it was the right one.”
A deep sigh escaped her lips. She ran her fingers through her hair before placing her hands on her hips. “I just don't understand why you would tell him that you wanted to take things to the next level after all this time has passed.”
You could feel yourself getting annoyed. Obviously, you were aware that JJ only had Spencer’s best interest at heart, but this pacific attack on you was uncalled for.
“I told him because he deserved to know.” You responded as calmly as you could. “We both moved on JJ, so I don’t-”
“But don't you see that he's going to overthink this now? You’re playing with his head, not to mention his heart.” She cut you off. Ouch. Her words stung. “He is going to constantly wonder what could have been.”
“And you think I don't do that already? Honestly JJ, do you think this is easy for me?” You asked, voice slightly elevated. “I really thought Spencer was the love of my life. I thought he and I we were meant to be.” At this point, tears were forming in the corners of your eyes.
“But he broke my heart and whatever his reasons were I lost a piece of me that day. A piece I never got back. Yet despite the empty feeling inside me, I stayed by his side. He was going through a terrible time and I knew he needed me. So don’t tell me Spencer is going to ponder now, or whatever, because he is not the only one that went through this breakup.”
“I just-” JJ began again but you lifted your hand in-front of you to stop her. “I get that you are looking out for him, but maybe you should stop and think that no-one is looking out for me. Except for Spencer, no-one ever was.” You snapped, and turned away from her.
The petite blonde lingered for a second before walking out. She knew better than to keep pressing on the matter.
You tried to focus on making the coffees; which proved hard as your eyes were glossy with tears and your hands were trembling from the nerves.
Your chest ached. Your head was spinning.
As far as you were aware, the brunette doctor was glad you told him. Was that not the truth? Did he confess something else to JJ? If so, why would he lie to you? These questions circulated your mind, adding to the already existing headache.
You leaned against the cold wall and closed your eyes. Inhale, exhale. Inhale, exhale. Inhale, exhale. You tried to regulate your hazy breathing in order to calm yourself down.
That’s how Spencer found you.
The hazel-eyed doctor got concerned when you didn't return in a timely manner - it doesn't take that long to make coffee. He went looking for you, and on his search he peeked inside the kitchenette to discover he was right to worry.
“Whoa Y/N, hey. Hey.”
He immediately reached for the pot and put it away before turning back to you. He hastily grabbed your hands in his, giving them a gentle squeeze to try get a reaction out of you. No luck.
At this point your whole body was shaking. Slowly, you opened your eyes to meet his sympathetic gaze. Teardrops escaped down your cheeks, trailing along black mascara.
“What’s going on? What happened?” Spencer asked, but when you opened your mouth to explain no words came out. All you could do was shake your head.
“It’s okay, hey.” He let go of your hands and wrapped his strong arms around you instead, pulling you close. He placed one palm at the back of your head, encouraging you to recline against his chest, as the other drew soothing circles along your lower back.
“It’s okay.” He whispered again before resting his chin on top of your head. He closed his eyes, basking in the all too familiar smell of your shampoo.
Despite the heaviness in your stomach, it fluttered slightly at the feeling of your body pressed against his. And with every second that passed, you sunk deeper into his warmth.
Spencer realised he couldn't remember the last time the two of you were this close. The last time he hugged you like this. He thought he did, but now that you were in his arms he knew he was wrong because the memory didn't feel the same. Although, that didn't seem important right now.
Eventually, your nerves calmed down. Breathing returned to normal, and you were no longer crying. However, if you were being honest, you didn't want the hug to end just yet. You felt peaceful. Safe.
At home.
Perhaps it was because of those feelings you did what you did next. Or perhaps it was because the fatigue that only a good sleep could fix was messing with your thoughts.
You tilted your head upwards, which caused Spencer to open his eyes. His gaze instantly locked with yours. When he noticed the small smile circling your lips, he smiled back.
“Are you okay?” He asked, still in a whisper.
You nodded. “Better now.”
He was going to ask if you wanted to tell him what happened. He was going to ask if there was anything else he could do. He was going to ask, but he found himself frozen and completely lost in your beautiful eyes.
Perhaps it was because of the way he was looking at you. Or because your stomach was jumping inside of your body, exactly like it did in your dream.
You found yourself slowly leaning in, upwards. The pull you felt was almost magnetic. This was wrong on so many levels but it was like the world fell away; for both of you. Spencer matched your pace and leaned down, his heart hammering inside his chest.
His face now inches away from yours. One of his hands was still on your lower back, while the other cupped your cheek. His hot breath hit against your lips, sending a shiver down your spine. His eyes searched yours for any sign to stop what was about to happen, but despite your better judgement you didn’t want to stop.
And just as it was about to happen, just as you were about to kiss the man you were once in love with, a realisation hit you.
You were doing exactly what JJ implied. You were playing with his feelings. If you kissed now, he was definitely going to overthink things. Overthink your relationship, and everything that happened up until this point.
You couldn't let that happen. You couldn't jeopardise your friendship.
“I’m sorry.” You muttered against his lips and pulled away from his embrace. “I am so sorry. That shouldn't have happened.” Nervously, you ran your fingers through your hair.
“No.” Spencer said quietly. “No, I’m sorry. You were feeling vulnerable, I shouldn-” You shook your head. “This is my fault Spencer. I’m the one that leaned in first.” You reiterated.
“I didn't stop you.” Spencer added, placing his hands in his pockets almost as if he was no longer sure what to do with them.
“I have a fiancé.” You whispered. The statement was more of a self-reminder than anything else.
“You have a fiancé.” Spencer repeated, and you detected a familiar sadness in his tone.
Silence. The two of you stood awkwardly looking at one another.
Even though stopping the kiss was the right thing to do, you felt as if somehow you made things worse between you and the hazel-eyed doctor. It broke you a little. Primarily because as you were lost in the moment you realised that there was a chance you possibly still felt something for Spencer.
Something strong.
Oh Baby, what've you done to me? I can't seem to chase you out of my dreams

Make Out with Chan;
Note | Chan and you started dating just a few months ago, and this is your first heated make-out session. Shy!Boyfriend Chan. Warning: Very Suggestive but also very adorable.
(Credits to the owner of the gif)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was a cold Friday afternoon. The rain was falling calmly from the blue sky, hitting the ground softly and leaving a lovely smell of moist grass in the atmosphere.
You came home from UNI one hour ago and were currently waiting for your boyfriend. The both of you will cuddle and watch a movie together with the rain as background music.
As soon as you heard someone knocking on the door five times, you knew it was Chan. It's like his signature knock. Your heart immediately speeded up and you licked your lips excited to hold on to him after this exhausting week.
"Chan, get in, you're going to get cold!" You told him while he stood outside your door under the blue umbrella. He wasn't wet and you were glad because you don't have clothes for him to change.
"That's how you greet me?" He asked with an adorable pout, as he took off his warm jacket. "Where's my kiss?"
You rolled your eyes but ran towards him, providing a quick peck on those pinky lips that you adore so much. Your boyfriend wanted more, so he wrapped his vigorous arms around your waist and chased your lips once again, eager to taste you even more.
The way his tongue gently brushed against your bottom lip made you gasp, and he used the opportunity to allow the muscle get inside your mouth and start a playful fight with yours, making your hands grab into dirty blond locks.
When Chris pulled away, he was looking absolutely breathtaking: lips shiny and red from the kissing, hair messy and dilated eyes staring deeply into yours.
"I'm sorry... Did I go too far?" Chan asked shyly, his cute little cheeks painted in a pale red. His eyes shifted from yours to his raw hands, trying to dodge you.
"Don't be sorry... I liked it..." You responded back with a smile, trying to comfort him. "Shall we start watching 'Cities of Paper' ?"
Happily, your boy took your hand on his and walked you to your bedroom. The both of you laid down on your sides so he could be the big spoon. You already saw this movie like five times, but Chan was so curious about it that you decided to watch it with him. Again.
After a while you got bored, of course. It was the sixth time you were watching that film, but Chan was really interested. His big brown eyes were glued to the screen of your old tv, and his arms were holding you tightly against him.
You decided to let the boy enjoy the movie and just enjoy his presence as the sound from the rain filled your ears, making an aesthetic feeling take over your boredom.
"Whattttt? Why aren't they together? That's not fair..." Your boyfriend whines annoyed. "Why didn't you tell me they didn't end you together?" He asked you with a sweet pout.
"Because it wouldn't be fun if I told you..." You smirk and laugh after, watching him pout again. The movie was finally over.
Something inside you told you to kiss those pretty lips of his, and so you did. You pecked them for longer than usual, catching Chan by surprise. When he opened his eyes, you were flustered and he was too, his emotions were having a fight in his head...
"Kiss me again, baby girl." He begged you with pleading eyes, watching you come closer and closer to him, brushing your lips against his teasingly. Your warmth was so close that he felt himself starting to sweat.
Tired of the teasing Chris gently grabs your jaw and meets your edges in a hungry but slow kiss, enjoying the feeling of your warm and plump lips against his. As his tongue entered your mouth, his hands pulled you against him so you were straddling him as the heat started to build.
When you pulled his messy hair, lost in the feeling of the kiss, Chan moaned. At that moment you broke the kiss, breathing hard, your heart skipping beats and wide eyes:
"I'm sorry i-" Chan wanted to apologize for his horny self but you shut him up before he could ever explain himself.
"That was the hottest thing I have ever heard..." You whine and envelop your head in his shoulder, feeling timid but turned on at the same time. That is the first time you guys make-out... He is a shy boy and you are a little insecure, leading to not doing anything more than kissing.
But you were starting feeling needy, and that was giving you the courage to do something about it. Maybe kissing wouldn't make it better, only worse, but at least you can get a taste of him and what he can do.
"Kiss me again..." He whispered close to your ear, making a cold shiver run up your spine.
"Someone's needy?" You asked with a smirk, watching his reaction. Chan got a little more red, his cheeks now fully red-ish and his heart speeded up. You could feel it beating against your chest.
He didn't answer, just kissed you. His lips moved slowly against yours, while his hand settled on your hips under your hoodie. You left a whine to escape your lips. His hands felt on fire, and everywhere he touched had his heated print.
Chris wasn't capable to control himself no more, the sound you left out is so sensual that he jerks his hips upwards, creating some pleasurable friction to the both of you.
"Chan..." You whine leaving his mouth for a brief second while you catch your breath. Saliva connecting your lips. "Chan, please..." He couldn't see your eyes as you called his name, because you were feeling way too shy to look at him. Although he knew, if you looked at him with those innocent eyes of yours he would cum right in his pants. "Chan, you can touch me more..."
As soon as you gave him permission, his hands wasted no time and traveled upwards beneath your hoodie. When he felt the curve of your soft, bare breasts against his inexperienced fingertips, he had to kiss you to shut his mouth.
This time the kiss was messier, saliva was all over your lips as his tongue devoured yours in the most delicious way. His fingers soon grabbed a handful of your boob, and you grinded against him, feeling something hard against you.
His fingers hesitantly pulled your nipple, and you moaned his name, pushing your head back and breathing heavily. His touch is so addicting. "Chan..."
"God, you're driving me crazy..." He whined as his lips came in contact with your neck, leaving pecks all over it as his teeth softly brushed against the skin, making you grow needier.
A fast-paced song suddenly started playing startling the both of you, and your boyfriend removed himself completely from you so he could pick up the call.
As he spoke to his mom, you deducted from the sweet way he was communicating, you tried to calm yourself down. You closed your eyes and breathed in, inflating your lungs and then, letting the air escape your nose calmly.
"I have to go... My mom needs me at home. " His voice was lowered, melancholy.
"It's alright..." You assured him, setting your hair behind your ear timidly. You blushed to the thoughts of what was happening merely minutes ago.
"Come here..." He called you as he spread his arms, grabby hands pointed at you. You walked towards him and allowed his passionate embrace to involve you. Soon, his so familiar perfume gave you butterflies.
In an act of love, Chan kissed your forehead and thanked you for trusting him. You smiled shyly at him, wishing he could stay a little longer.
A/N | I know i kinda disappeared for a bit and im sorry... Guess who has covid? My mom, and i think we all at home. Anyways im at home isolated so i will try to post more. Epicenter: Chapter One
Link on AO3: Epicenter
Author: misslynn_99 (Me!)
a/n: I totally forgot that I could post this here to help bring in traffic lol. This is a Pro Hero! Bakugo x Reader insert I've been playing around with. Enjoy!
Red Riot was a regular of yours. His bright smile lit up the atmosphere of the little coffee shop, infectious and spilling over to anyone else in the vicinity. He was friendly, inviting even, as he ordered two coffees- one plain black and another syrupy sweet with cream. He usually turned up a couple times a week up business causal, perfectly content to leisurely chat and sign autographs before inevitably ducking out shyly, laughing that his partner wouldn’t be thrilled with cold coffee. You’d grown to love the visits of the charming hero, finding it easy to get lost in his easy conversation and brilliant ruby eyes. You couldn’t help but wish that maybe one day he’d order just one coffee and stay a while longer to sip it at a table across from you.
Today was not one of those days. Instead, he barreled through the doors, dragging a bedraggled blonde in across his bare shoulders. The harsh muzzle and shredded fabric of his hero costume was a slap in the face, reminding you that he was not just a charming civilian, but instead one of the finest defenders of the city. The café customers had already evacuated, but you had stayed to quickly close up the shop. “Watch him, will ya?” He huffed. “He’s been hurt. I know you’ve got a minor healing quirk, and he’s in no shape to return to the fight. Deku and Uravity are on the scene too. We can handle it from there, but this idiot will get himself killed just to prove that he’s just fine.”
“Okay,” You nodded. “I’ll do my best to patch him up.”
“Thanks, doll.” He prodded at your check playfully. “I owe you one. Blasty here is quite the bear when he’s pissed. Don’t worry, I made sure his blasters were empty before I brought him to you. I couldn’t have him taking out my favorite place. ” Carefully setting the blonde on the coffee bar, Red Riot raced back to the scene, where a villain with a rouge power-type quirk was wreaking havoc.
“What am I going to do with you?” The words absentmindedly left your lips, fingers tracing a tender looking cut along his arm. Sighing, you stripped the gauntlets from his arms and legs, leaving the pro hero in just the Kevlar of his hero costume.
Angry red bruises already dotted his exposed skin. His chest shuttered unevenly with each shallow breath, and his soft blonde hair was plastered to his forehead with sweat. “I’ve got to have a first aid kit around here somewhere.”
The scent of alcohol almost overpowered the stench of burnt sugar and gasoline that seemed to seep from the blonde’s every pore. Even barely conscious, he hissed a curse as the disinfectant stung his open wounds “Fuck!”
“Red’ll kill me if you get an infection.” You muttered. “Just sit still. I’ll get you something for the pain here soon.”
“Hands off.” He slurred. “I’m going back.”
“Your ribs are broken.” A gentle hand to his chest was more than enough to stop the hero.  “Let me heal you first.”
Stalling was your best option, but sparks danced along the hero’s palms. He left me with Ground Zero, cheeky little asshole. you thought viciously. The feral black mask and fiery red eyes should have been a dead giveaway but, lost in the moment with Red Riot, you had missed it. Ground Zero looked so vulnerable, even as he struggled to resist your help. Each breath seemed to whistle through his gritted teeth. Rivulets of sweat dripped down his brow and splattered onto the counter, and his entire frame shuddered from pain. Yet his steely frown bit back at you, screaming that he was determined to rejoin the fight with a confidence that his words could not convey.
“And Shitty Hair, Deku, and Cheeks aren’t finishing without me.”
“Just let me handle the ribs, okay?” You pacified. “Broken ribs could mean a punctured lung with another hit, and a punctured lung means you’ll spend the next few weeks in the hospital with a chest tube. Even then, you might not get the lung capacity back. So let me fix it.”
“Fine.” He spat. “I’m waiting.”
You felt the heat of embarrassment on your face. “This is going to hurt. A lot.” You gulped. “I need to touch the injury directly, so shirt off.”
Ground Zero motioned to pull the black and orange tank top over his head, but froze. “Can’t move my shoulder like that.” He growled.
“Should’ve known.” You sighed nervously. “You’ve probably got flail chest close to your sternum. Where ever that thing hit you, I think it broke a bunch of ribs so theyre not attached to the rest of your chest wall now.”
“Just fix it.” Ground Zero snapped. “By any means necessary.”
You nodded, intimidated by the hero’s anger. Praying that no one walked in the shop, you carefully peeled the fabric away, and flinched at the sight of the marred skin. Sickeningly black bruises blossomed from just below his clavicle and you tenderly laid a hand across his pectoral. The bones shifted slightly under your touch. His injuries were more extensive than you had expected, as you felt the puffy skin and sharp edges of displaced fractures through the lean tissue of his torso.
“How do I know this isn’t just an excuse to feel me up, perv?” A bright shade of red flushed his cheeks.
“That’s pretty messed up.” You glowered. “I don’t have to do this, you know. All I’d have to tell Red is that I tried but you blew me off and staggered out the door anyways. I don’t appreciate being accused of groping you while trying to do you a favor, so if you don’t want my help we can just wait here.”
“Fine, just get on with it.”
Cool energy trailed from your fingertips, dancing over his skin and sinking in. “Fuck!” He swore again, writhing against the counter. You could feel yourself sway, energy sapping as the bones knit back together. His chest grew warm beneath your touch, or maybe it was just your icy fingers as cold settled in your core.
“Why don’t I feel tired?” He peered curiously at you, as you slumped forward onto the counter.
“Because it saps my energy, not yours. Why do you think I own a coffee shop instead of being a traveling healer?”
“Blasty!” Red Riot’s voice was music to your ears. “I hope you didn’t give my favorite girl too much trouble now.”
“He,” you wheezed. “Still needs to see a doctor. He needs a chest X ray to make sure everything is in the right place. “
“I think you need to see a doctor.” Red’s eyebrows furrowed in concern, running a hand across your forehead, fingers trembling against the freezing skin beneath. “You’re so cold.”
“If I’m going to a doctor, so is this idiot.” You scowled at Ground Zero’s jeer, getting to his feet as if to prove he was just fine.
“Come on.” The blonde grabbed your arm, pulling you across the bar, and attempted to shoulder your weight across his back.
“Not on my watch.” Red caught you before you could hit the ground. “Didn’t she say that you need to be seen? Something tells me that you’re the one who needs to be carried.”
“I can walk myself!” Ground Zero barked, although his knuckles were white from gripping the counter top and his jaw clenched. Your vision was swimming, but he seemed to sway as he took a few unsteady steps towards the door.
“Sure you can.” Red rolled his eyes with a wink your way. “But you’re not taking this lovely lady on a one-way trip to the floor in the process.
“I’ve got them!” A flash of pink and black ducked around Red’s arms, and suddenly you were weightless. “Nearest hospital is a couple of blocks to the north. Deku is taking the villain down to the station, in the quirk-cancelling cuffs. I moved most of the rubble out of the way, but I’ll come back to help with the clean-up. I just had to see how Bakugo was holding up. “
“I think my girl here has him stable.” Red Riot frowned. “But she’s not doing so hot. Why’s that? I thought Blasty here would be the one drained.”
“Quirk,” You slurred, relaxing in to the weightless embrace of whatever was supporting you. “Drains my energy. ‘S why I’m not a healer. He was hurt, real bad. Flail chest, I think.”
“She needs IV fluids.” You were vaguely aware of moving, unbidden, with Red’s arms no longer warming you against his chest as your consciousness dimmed.
................................
A gentle prod to the arm stirred you back into awareness. “Hey.”
“Red Riot.” Your head lolled to the side. The cool, metallic hospital bed chilled your bare skin, shivering against the thin blanket. The smell of antiseptic stung, and the image of Ground Zero’s uneven breaths burned behind your eyelids. The tell-tale stiffness in your arm was a sign of the IV already inserted, surely dulling the ache in your own chest with a steady drip of pain medication. “Where is he? Is he okay?”
“Blasty is doing just fine.” His warm hand splayed across your shoulder comfortingly. You hadn’t noticed before, but as he leaned over your bedside, you could have sworn that you saw a hint of black roots amongst his fiery red hair. Concern creased his face, and his cologne tickled at your throat, smelling of patchouli, leather, and pine. “You gave us all quite the scare there. But Ground Zero is a lucky man. The doctors say that you fixed up his five broken ribs, three of which detached from his chest wall.”
“Where is he?”
“He’s in the operating room. They had to go in and stop some of the internal bleeding, and clear out the pooled blood in his chest so it wouldn’t give him a collapsed lung.”
“Thank you, Red Riot.” A sigh escaped your lips.
“Don’t be so formal. My name is Eijirou Kirishima. Call me Eijirou, or Kiri, or just something that’s not my hero name. It’s not like my real name is a public secret.” He laughed.
Stealing a glance to the side, you smirked. “I could call you Sharky.” His eyes widened, and you chuckled. “But I think I like Kiri.”
A doctor quickly cut the exchange short, her harsh raps on the door breaking the moment. “He’s out of the OR and in recovery.” She directed her attention towards Eijirou. “Do you want to go back and see him?”
“You can go, I’ll be okay.”
“Nah, Bakugo would never let me live it down if I ditched a civilian at the hospital.”
“I want to know how he’s doing.” You nudged his side with your elbow, trying your best to look convincing. “I’m a big girl, I can handle myself.”
“I’ll be right back!” The tension in his shoulders eased, sagging in relief. “Don’t leave without me, okay?”
“I’ll hold her discharge paperwork until you return.” The doctor’s lips quirked in a half-smile. “I need to ask her a few questions anyhow, so it is beneficial that you’re out of the room for a little bit.”
Eijirou scurried out, and a pang of affection fluttered in your chest. “He’s such a kind hero.” You sighed.
“He is.” The doctor plucked a pen from the pocket of her white coat and began to add notes to your medical chart. “How are you feeling? Still light headed?”
“I feel much better. Just a bit tired still.”
“Okay, I’m going to release you with orders to take it easy for the next day or so, and if you start feeling poorly, please go either to your general practitioner, or return here for further treatment. I’m going to remove your IV, and then I just need you to sign the discharge paperwork, and wait for your escort to come back.”
“I’m back!” Eijirou grinned as he poked his head in, watching as you signed the papers. “Uraraka is forcibly floating Blasty back to his apartment so he doesn’t wind up passed out on a train somewhere. They’ve got him all sorts of knocked up on pain killers. But I’m ready to take you back to the shop if you’re good to go.”
“I am.” You nodded. “I still need to finish closing up shop, though. I locked up the cash from the register, but the machines need cleaned and the doors need locked before I call it a night.”
Eijirou just smiled sheepishly, his hands ready to steady you as you climbed out of the hospital bed.
“I’m okay.” You whined, batting his arm away playfully. “The press would have a hay day if you held my arm or god forbid carried me anywhere.”
“Oh! Uhh, yeah, you’re right.” He flinched, arms snapping back to his sides, and you instantly regretted even bringing it up as you watched Eijirou school his features to look carefully professional once more, carefully ushering you out the door.
"I think the ladies would be too devastated, if the press made it seem like the most eligible bachelor of the pro heroes was off the dating market.” You joked nervously, trying to ease the tension that had settled between the two of you.
“Obviously.” He rolled his eyes, cracking a slight smirk. “Who else are they going to drool over? No one else is nearly as manly as me.”
"Not even Ground Zero?”
“A close second.” He conceded. “But he really only shows anger and annoyance, which decidedly unmanly. His only downfall.”
The café was in sight again- and mostly still intact. It was nestled between a few other businesses on the strip, quiet and unassuming. You wondered briefly how the heroes had even taken notice, when everything else about the world of heroes seemed so loud and chaotic. The chalkboard outside was  smudged with dust, as were the windows that offered a peak into the cozy shop, but as far as you could see, nothing had been damaged or broken into during your absence.
“I think tomorrow is going to be a long day of cleaning.” You groaned.
“Occupational hazard.” Eijirou laughed. “I think this is where I let you go, though.”
Turning to face him and putting your hand on his shoulder, you looked into his eyes. “Thank you, Eijirou. Thanks for making sure I was okay and that I got home safely. I appreciate everything you’ve done for me, and what you continue to do for the city.”
“Just doing my job.” He replied sheepishly, his voice half an octave higher than usual. “I think my patrol shift starts here soon, so I’ll catch on the flipside for my usual.”
Eijirou left, and you carefully locked the doors behind him. The silence was deafening. The café usually buzzed with quite murmurs of those working, catching up with friends, or tentatively flirting with a prospective partner. Normally, the café wouldn’t close for a few more hours, but even leaning against the counter seemed to draw from the deepest reserves of strength you could bare, and you wished Eijirou had stayed.
That’s what you get for making the man so uncomfortable. The voice inside your head whispered cruelly. Shouldn’t get hung up on your silly little crush. He’s just a hero looking to maintain a public image, not get to know you or your life or sweep you off of your feet. You should stop this before you embarrass yourself.
“Kiri is a kind man.” You whispered to yourself, as if to silence your own internal monologue, hands deftly cleaning the espresso machines. “He cares about others. I may not be special, but he is genuine.”
The coffee bar was strangely oily, and once again your senses were assaulted with the stench of over-cooked caramel and thick smoke. Ground Zero was an enigma; you knew that his temper was just as explosive as his quirk, frequently berating civilians unfortunate enough to be caught in his way and chasing away reporters with a more than a few sparks. Yet, despite his notoriously low public approval levels, he still managed to rank as the number two hero. His record for take downs and civilian rescues were immaculate, only outranked by Deku. For someone so who was so determined to be the take over the spot for number one hero, he was prickly at best and outright aggressive at worst. He was a confusing contradiction of everything the public believed of pro heroes, and in his own way, stole the media’s attention as they leaned into Ground Zero’s “bad boy” reputation.
You wondered if he appreciated the media’s attempts to make him more likeable, or if it only annoyed him further. Ground Zero certainly didn’t seem appreciative of your help, nor was he thrilled with Eijirou’s attempts to joke about his bad attitude. He was so different from his partner; Red Riot was the media’s sweetheart, sympathetic and caring, and known for his tendency to help civilians even with menial tasks. He was both an unbreakable force for good against the villains plaguing the city and an approachable everyday hero.
Ground Zero didn’t have that luxury, his humanity lost to his pro hero status. It seemed like a lonely existence. With a sigh, you finished your cleaning, and taped a “Closed early” sign to the front door, and wandered back up to your apartment to rest for the evening.

dazed ’n’ confused (part 2)
Tumblr media
A/N: omg this part was so much longer than i ancitipated sorry T__T and i promise in part 3 we will get some fun stuff ;)
Ship: Rodrick Heffley x OFC
Warnings: none (for this chapter)
---
The whole day, Nicole was distracted. She sat in her lifeguard chair, biting her nails, eyes concealed by her sunglasses and gazing at nothing. The pool manager ended up telling her off because she let multiple people dive off the board at the same time. She was a mess on the way home, too. She stopped at her favorite gas station to get slushy and almost left her bike behind, aimlessly wandering toward her house before she remembered she hadn’t walked there in the first place.
She got home and hopped in the shower, rinsing off the sunscreen and sweat, trying to forget how warm Rodrick’s hands felt under her own, how she had been close enough to smell laundry detergent and cinnamon gum. His dark eyes and full lips.
She almost slipped getting out of the shower.
She tried to write music and get him off her mind, but all of her songs ended up sounding sad and sappy or slow and sultry. It was maddening.
The next day, Saturday, Nicole woke up more irritated than usual. She normally wasn’t a morning person, but this was next level. She did her makeup quickly and threw her hair into a pair of messy french braids. She decided to treat herself to an ice coffee, so she grabbed her wallet and headed outside to her bike.
Despite it being 9:30 in the morning, Rodrick was already outside… mowing grass? Nicole had never once seen him do that before. Giving him a short wave, she coasted down her driveway and headed into town toward the Starbucks.
As she stopped at the sign at the end of their street, she looked back. Rodrick was looking in her direction, but Nicole shook away the thought that he could’ve been staring. She looked both ways quickly before pedaling quicker than she had before.
The Starbucks was about a 20 minute bike ride from her house, and Nicole usually took this time to listen to a podcast or her favorite album. This morning, she chose “Dr. Feelgood” by
Motley Crue - she was a sap, sue her. She liked to remember the little things about people. She definitely recognized the chord progressions and drum patterns replicated in Loded Diper’s songs - at least, the songs that she had heard muffled through the garage door as she hung her head out her window to listen.
A short time later, Nicole hopped off her bike and locked it in place, skipping with anticipation for the sweetest, creamiest ice coffee she could get her little hands on. She walked up to the cashier, browsing the menu quickly.
“Hi, Welcome to Starbucks - what can I get started for you?”
“I’ll do a iced caramel macchiato with almond milk and light ice, please.”
“For sure, anything else?”
“No, thanks,” Nicole said, pulling out a five dollar bill and some ones.
“Hey, aren’t you new in town? You came into school at the end of the semester.”
Nicole looked up at the cashier, just now noticing what she looked like. She was cute in a pixie, petite kind of way, with short brown hair and big green eyes. If Nicole hadn’t been so enamored with Rodrick, she probably would’ve developed a big whopping crush on this girl, too.
“Yeah, I’m Nicole. You go to PVH, too?”
“I’m Caitlin - we were in bio together, I think.” Nicole wracked her brains, thinking back to the last bit of school she could remember.
“Oh, right, we partnered up a couple times.” Nicole said, smiling.
“Hey, if you want, a couple of friends and I are having a party tonight. You should come,” Caitlin said, flashing a dimpled smile. Nicole felt her tummy flip - mostly from excitement, and the elation of feeling included by her peers.
“For sure, just text me the number.” Nicole wrote down her number on a hot beverage sleeve and slid it towards Caitlin.
“Cool, see you then. Oh, and your drink will be right over there.”
“Thanks.”
Biting her lip to keep from grinning like a crazy person, Nicole moved down the divided counter to wait for her drink. The whole bike ride home she couldn’t help thinking that maybe moving to this town wasn’t such a bad thing after all. The day ended up not being as horrifically hot as yesterday, and Nicole’s mood had improved significantly after a heavy dose of caffeine.
But, when she rounded the corner back onto her street, Rodrick was still outside, mowing the lawn. And lord have mercy, for such a skinny looking boy, he had some seriously toned arms. Nicole almost crashed her bike into the curb, narrowly avoiding spilling her drink all over herself. She rode past him up her own driveway without acknowledging him, even though this time he was the one who waved to her. Payback for flaunting his ridiculous arms in front of her at 10:30 in the morning.
She went inside to change into her bathing suit and the usual denim shorts she wore over them. She didn’t need to leave for work for another hour, so she plugged her electric guitar into the amp in her room and fiddled around with learning some Motley Crue riffs that she remembered from her morning bike ride. Nicole wasn’t a prodigy by any means, but she had been playing guitar for long enough that she knew the basic chord structure of most of their popular songs.
As she stood up to slip on her black converse, she saw her phone had lit up with a text. Unknown number.
“Hey, its Caitlin :) the address is 460 Norfolk Drive. Party starts @ 10!”
Nicole did a little dance. “Cool, I’ll be there :)” she texted back, and ran down the stairs back to the garage to get her bike again. She was so excited by the idea of hanging out with people her age that she almost didn’t see Rodrick leaning against his own bike at the end of her driveway.
“Your lawn looks good,” Nicole teased as she rode by. If Rodrick had any snarky reply, she was gone before she heard it. Looking back over her shoulder, she saw him standing with his mouth agape. She laughed to herself before starting her regular route to the city pool.
Not long after she started her shift, perched in her lifeguard chair with the umbrella angled to deflect the worst of the sun, Rodrick showed up with his two friends. They seemed to be attached at the hip. One was shorter than Rodrick, with long, surfer-style blonde hair, and one was about Rodrick’s height, with short dark hair and a cool slit in his eyebrow.
Nicole was glad her sunglasses were dark enough to not see her eyes, because she definitely would’ve been caught staring by now. Rodrick wasn’t muscular by any means, or athletic, but there was still something cute and boyish about his gangly frame, and the way his shoulder muscles flexed when he took his shirt off was… for lack of a better word, distracting.
The first couple of hours passed uneventfully, and Nicole started to doze in her chair, chin propped up on her hand. The combination of warm sun and cool breeze lull her into a half-awake state. It was adult swim, so there weren’t any kids to worry about. She could close her eyes for a few minutes and…
She heard him before she saw him. The signature sound of the diving board being bounced once, twice, and then…
Nicole was doused in freezing cold water.
The huge splash covered both sides of the pool, high enough to reach her in her life guard chair. Moaning with displeasure, Nicole wrenched her sunglasses off her face and pointed an accusing finger at the grinning boy in the water. Fucking Rodrick.
“You’re dead, you little shit.” Nicole growled, and left her sunglasses on the seat of her lifeguard chair before diving in the pool.
The cool water enfolded her, silky and calm, before she came up under Rodrick and unleashed all hell. Still under water, she grabbed his ankles to pull him down. She heard his shout of alarm before it transformed into bubbles.
Underwater, her vision was blurred, but Nicole could still see Rodrick laughing and the dark outline of his eyes. She found herself laughing too as they briefly wrestled and tried to drag the other farther underwater before they both broke the surface, gasping for air.
“Okay, okay mercy,” Rodrick gasped as Nicole wound her arms around his neck in a headlock.
“Stay off the diving board, or I’ll make you drink the kiddy pool water.”
“Oh my god, kids pee in there!”
“Exactly,” Nicole laughed before shoving him away, though it wasn’t very aggressive considering the water softened the blow. Rodrick was still laughing behind her.
“Damn, if I get that kind of a reaction every time I jump in the pool, maybe I’ll do it for a living,” he called after her.
Nicole dunked her head under water once more to adjust her hair before climbing out of the deep end on the latter, electing to ignore that last comment. Now that she was back in her life guard chair, she couldn’t believe how impulsive she had been. Some kind of instinct took over and before she knew it, she had been flying out of her chair to give Rodrick a taste of his own medicine.
And now that she was thinking about it even more, the more embarrassed she became. Oh God, had she been super obvious? And more than that, had she been unprofessional?
She looked around the pool to see if her manager was watching - luckily, no sign of him. Most of the other pool guests weren’t paying that much attention either, except Rodrick’s friends, who were still laughing hysterically as Rodrick dried himself off by shaking his hair like a wet dog.
Nicole had touched more of Rodrick than she had the other day when they accidentally touched hands. Way more of him. Not that she exactly remembered the feeling of every limb, but the contact still made her feel more than a little weak in the knees.
They didn’t even know each other that well! What was she thinking!
Nicole spent the rest of her shift biting her nails anxiously, and when her co-worker came to switch chairs she ran to hide in the employee lounge next to the girls bathrooms.
By the time five o’clock came, she had calmed down a little bit, but was still embarrassed by her frankly juvenile behavior. She helped clean up the pool area by hosing it down and picked up some left over trash before heading to her bike.
And, because Nicole had maybe the worst (or best, it was hard to say) luck in the world, Rodrick was waiting for her.
“Figured I could ride home with you, since you like being near me so much,” Rodrick called as she approached. Nicole groaned, rolling her eyes.
“I wouldn’t have to get near you if you didn’t a) act like a child, and b) violate pool rules.”
“I’m pretty sure “almost drawing a patron” counts as violating pool rules, Nikky.”
“Don’t call me that,” Nicole spat with no real heat behind it.
“If you’re gonna ride home with me, you’re gonna pay for my slushy,” Nicole called over her shoulder as she started pedaling away.
“Ooo, is this a date?” Rodrick laughed, and Nicole flipped him off without looking. “C’mon, I thought we were getting along since I fixed your tire?”
Nicole, tired of the banter and not able to think of a better response, decided to take mercy on him.
“No… no. We’re cool. I’d rather have my dumb neighbor as a friend than no one at all.”
Rodrick pulled up next to her on his bike, tongue peeking between his teeth as he tried to suppress a grin. “Yeah, you seem cool. At least, your music taste isn’t completely horrible.”
“Oh, and yours is perfect, I’m assuming?”
“Naturally,” Rodrick said, pedaling faster to pull a wheelie in front of her, obviously trying to show off. In all honesty, it was a pretty cool trick - but Nicole would never tell him that. The evening was cooling down, but the sun was still a couple hours from setting, so everything had a deep golden glow - the trees seemed greener, and the grass softer, and random birds would occasionally chirp from deep within the woods. The world felt alive and wonderful and terribly, terribly exciting.
“So, why the hell did you move to Plainview?” Rodrick asked.
“Wasn’t like it was my choice. My Dad got a new job, and my Mom works from home so she can take care of us - so me and my two little sisters just got the short end of the straw.”
“You have sisters?”
“Yeah, Caroline and Georgia. Do you have siblings?”
Rodrick rolled his eyes, “Yeah, two shit head little brothers, Greg and Manny. Well, Manny isn’t really a shit head, ‘cause he’s like three, but I know he will be once he hits four.”
Nicole laughed. They were nearing the gas station she liked to get slushies from, so she suddenly started pedaling faster and yelled behind her, “First one there buys!”
She narrowly made it there before him, laughing at his red face and shaking legs as he dismounted his bike.
“No one should be that fast,” he panted, but smiled as he opened the door for her.
The blast of air conditioning felt good on Nicole’s heated skin, and she made a B-line for the slushy machine.
“Blue raspberry is the obvious best choice,” Nicole said, filling her cup up to the brim.
“No way, cherry is the only valid flavor,” Rodrick said, already munching on a bag of sour gummy worms. She raised an eyebrow at him and he simply winked in response, causing Nicole to turn her head away when she felt the heat rise to her cheeks.
Rodrick paid for their stuff and they spent the rest of the bike ride home trying to throw gummy worms at each other and catch them in their mouths.
“So.. there's a van. Outside your house. With your band name on it,” Nicole said, pointedly looking at him. Rodrick looked straight ahead.
“Yeah.”
“And yet, you’re out here riding your bike. With me.”
“Yeah.”
“So what's the hold up? You don’t have your license yet or something?”
“I can drive!” Rodrick said indignantly, his voice cracking slightly, causing you to throw your head back in laughter.
“I’m saving up money to get it fixed,” he grumbled, pulling another wheelie.
“Doing tricks won’t distract me from this, Rodrick.
“Fine. Once its fixed, I’ll take you for a ride, deal?”
“Deal,” Nicole said primly, taking a sip of her slushy.
Sooner than she thought, they ended up in front of their respective homes. The time had flown by - she hadn’t even noticed they were close.
She was about to wave goodbye and turn to go up her driveway when Rodrick cleared his throat.
“Hey, um… my band and I - we’re having practice tonight. Again. We have a gig later this week so we wanna practice as much as possible. Uhm. Would you wanna stop by? You can bring your guitar or whatever,” he said, looking down at his shoes that he was currently scuffing against the sidewalk.
“How do you know I play guitar?”
Somehow, Rodrick looked even more sheepish. “Uh, you left your window open, earlier. When you were practicing.”
This time, Nicole was the one to blush. Fuck. She hadn’t even thought about any one being able to hear her. And after Rodrick told her Loded Diper was originally a Motley Crue cover band.... Oh, he definitely knew she was whipped. Fuck!
“Haha, oh, yeah… uh, sure. I can come over.”
Rodrick grinned - a genuinely excited smile, not his usual impish smirk. It made Nicole’s heart stutter in her chest.
“Come over in an hour - I’ll get snacks.”
Nicole turned away without another word, deciding they would have plenty more to say to each other very soon. But fucking hell, what was she going to wear?

On A Farm
Tumblr media
Pairings: Steve Rogers x Reader
Summary: On a farm in Western Pennsylvania, You and Steve grew up. When his mother passed, he took off for Brooklyn. When he returns, you both have some patching up to do.
Warnings: Some mild swearing (like one word, I think), uuuuh, Steve is a bit of a dumb ass? There’s not much to this story.
A/N: I know I said I was going to work on the next part of Desert Rose, but I got sidetracked. What a surprise. So this is for @just-one-ordinary-fangirl ‘s 1000 follower challenge. The farm that I used for inspiration is here. Prompts are in bold.
At five years old, Steve’s mother brought him to Pennsylvania, where she settled them on a run down old farm. The paint peeled, the windows rattled. It was scorchingly hot in the summer, and bitterly cold in the winter.
He desperately missed the streets of Brooklyn where he was born, however little he might remember it. He missed the cobble streets as he walked down the long dirt drive, he missed the tattered walls as he helped his mother scrape paint.
The only thing that helped him keep his head straight was you. Little you, who would run back and forth with him in the fields… That is, until he had to stop and sit to catch his breath. You, who would climb the tall pines that grew around the old barn with him. You, who would hide in the woods and jump out to scare him.
The years progressed, you both grew. When you were both 17, you planted a kiss to his cheek, pushing yourself up on your toes to reach him, as you had both grown exponentially from when you first met.
Then, that winter, his mother was struck with tuberculosis.
You tried to console him, to lure him away from his mother’s side, to eat something and get some rest. But to your dismay, nothing you said or did made him move.
After she was gone, he packed his bag with a weak apology and left back for Brooklyn.
You stood in the middle of the dirt road, a tear rolling down your cheek as he climbed into the back of a truck, bag slung over his shoulder. He looked up just enough to see you, but dropped his head quickly.
The truck started and you stared after him as he got smaller and smaller. And all you could do was stand there, broken hearted, as he left.
__________
It had been close to a decade by the time you saw him again. The depression was over, and a war had been fought and won.
The sun broke through the branches of the pine trees leading up the drive to the Rogers farm, the dirt and gravel crunching under your feet as you progressed forward. Toolbox swinging from your hand, you stopped under the windowsill to the large bay window in the living room.
Dropping the metal container to the grass, you gripped the wooden shutter with both hands and gave it a twist, positioning it back into its original spot.
You had noticed the broken shutter from your own window. It had been blown sideways in the windstorm the week prior. Nodding to yourself, you grabbed your tools and moved to the front door.
For nine and a half years, you had taken care of this farm. Fixing it in just the way that Sarah Rogers would have, once upon a time. There was no evidence that Steve had ever decided to sell it, and certainly no one had shown up to claim it.
So you took it upon yourself to keep the place in order.
Climbing the stairs, you stopped in the upstairs hall, carpet sending up puffs of dust with each step you took. Grabbing the broom that you left there, you jabbed once at the ceiling, and knocked open the panel that concealed the ladder to the attic.
“Alright, let’s see the damage,” You murmur to yourself, before clamping the handle of your toolbox between your teeth, and climbing the rickety old ladder. It shook violently with your weight, but held as you hoisted yourself into the musty space.
“Ah, there you are!” You exclaim, moving over to the drip of water coming from the hole in the ceiling, about the size of a baseball.
It took an hour to fix, sweat dripping down the nape of your neck, staining your shirt collar. When you were done, you slid down the ladder, shut the trap door, and descended the stairs, swinging left as you stepped off the last stair into the kitchen.
The tap squeaked as you turned on the water, as did the floorboards behind you, but you didn’t notice. You set down your box on the counter, the metal clatter covering the clicks behind you.
“Hands up, and turn around,” A voice commanded behind you, deep and gruff. Startled, you let out a yelp, and threw your hands up. A shudder ran through your spine, and you turned slowly on your heel to face down the barrel of a rifle, pointed directly at your nose.
Your sight shifted to the man holding the gun. His face set into a scowl, blond hair dirty and falling into his eyes. His jaw was set with stubble, muscle twitching as he ground his teeth together.
He wore a military uniform. Not a dress uniform, but nothing casual. A duffel bag was laying on the floor by the side door, a rank insignia stitched onto the side.
“Who are you, and why the hell are you in my house?” He growled, refusing to drop the rifle. You blinked once, twice, then three times. “Your house? Who are you?” You fire back. Your question seemed silly as you continued to examine him. It seemed silly as you looked into the eyes of the boy that you spent your childhood with.
“I--”
“Steve?” You interrupted. The man faltered, lifting his head and letting the muzzle of the gun drop down. His jaw hung open, and he watched you for a moment.
“Y/N? Steve dropped the gun fully, and with a few quick hand motions, rendered it ineffective. Before he had a chance to set it on the worn table, you rushed him, pushing yourself up onto your toes to wrap your arms tightly around his neck.
You laughed brightly as he leaned back, lifting you off the floor. His chest vibrated warmly as he laughed as well, then settled you back on the floor. “What are you doing here?” He asked, stepping away from you. Placing his hands, warm and calloused, over your shoulders, he pushed himself back so he could examine you for a fleeting moment.
“I was going to ask you the same thing!” You exclaim, running your fingers over the top of your head in astonishment. He flicked his gaze to the duffle, but turned back swiftly to you.
“Well, I-- It’s hard to explain,” He started, “But really, what are you doing in my house?”
You froze, momentarily bashful as you glanced at the dirty floor. You were gonna clean that today, too. Looking back up to him, you gave a wobbly smile and a shrug.
“You’ve been gone for a while. And someone needed to take care of this place,” You remark. Now it was Steve’s turn to flush. That Irish blush that worked its way from the tips of his ears, tinting down his neck, and disappearing below the collar of his shirt. “It’s been a long time since we’ve seen each other, huh?” He noted, nodding his head and slipping a hand to rest at the back of his neck. You bobbed your head in agreement, glancing down again.
Silence settles between the two of you. A strained tension filled the room, settling deep in your bones. You hated the feeling. It made you want to run. You could be out of the kitchen, and through the creaky screen door in seconds. Out of the house, and away from him.
Because god damn it he broke your heart when he left all those years ago. And you never wanted to feel that pain again.
You didn’t want to run. But that’s exactly what you did.
“Well, I should leave you to get settled,” You said softly, turning on your heel to grab your tools.
You could hear shifting behind you, and as you faced him once more, he was standing straight, stiff. “Right. It’s good to see you again, Y/N. Really good.” He smiled, a twinge of sadness criss crossing his features. You force a smile, and walk past him, pausing briefly to gently squeeze his shoulder.
You continued to the door, but stopped next to the green duffle. Nudging it with the toe of your boot, you could see the insignia better. Captain.
“If you enlisted, you just proved yourself to be the reckless idiot that I always said you were,” You chuckle, slipping into the old banter that you both had, so long ago. It seemed strangely familiar, a long dormant part of you that suddenly was awake.
Steve laughed behind you, softly.
“Well, I proved it,” He confirmed. You looked up to him, and pursed your lips in a frown. He gave you a tired grin, and you shook your head in exasperation.
Another moment of silence, and you turned and left.
__________
You aren't sure what woke you. But you were decidedly awake at a time when you really didn’t want to be. You dropped your head back to your pillow with a groan when it happened again. This is what you were sure had woken you up.
A shout, muffled by walls and a few hundred feet, drifted through the window you had left popped open. You sat bolt upright, the blankets falling down around your hips, and turned your body so you could see Steve’s house. A light blinked on across the way, cutting through the darkness, and you swung your legs out of your warm spot.
Grabbing your slippers, and flashlight, you bounded out your front door, and across the dirt road.
“Steve!” You called as you made it to the screen door you had left out of only a few hours ago. You could see the yellow glow of the kitchen light through the glass panels of the side door, so you quickly transgressed the screened in porch to open it.
“Steve,” You tried again, softly this time. The only acknowledgement that he gave was the slight inclination of his head, which dipped down towards the table as he sat there.
Shirtless.
In the freezing kitchen.
Because of course that made sense. You inched forward, hand hovering over his back. You sucked in a breath, and placed your fingers down, rubbing in soft circles.
A sheen of sweat coated him, the roots of his hair darkened with it. He shook, just a small tremor, but it was there.
Pulling a chair over, you noticed the pair of dog tags laying in the middle of the table, framed by the flaking green paint. His own, and another set of an unfamiliar man.
“James B Barnes,” You mouth to yourself. Dropping into the creaking chair, you swing around so your knees point to him, and lean toward him. “Steve, what’s going on?” You wait a moment without him speaking. “Steve, c’mon, you’re scaring me. Please talk to me?”
He still doesn't speak, so you take your fingers, and place them under his chin, his stubble prickleing at them. You maneuvered Steve’s jaw so he looked at you.
His eyes were watery and so insanely blue. It almost made you gasp, if you weren't so concerned.
Dread gripped your belly, an iron grasp that refused to let go.
So neither did you. You stroked your thumb over the prickles, and leaned forward to wrap your arm around his broad shoulders. Closing your eyes, forehead leaning against the bare bulk of his shoulder, you nearly jumped when you felt his warm hand wrap around yours. Another shudder ran through him, jostling you, prompting you to pick your head back up.
“Steve, I need you to tell me what's wrong.”
He remained silent. With a sigh, you stand, then pause momentarily, watching as his head falls back down. Once again scooping the flashlight up, you turned to go.
A gasp ripped its way from your throat as Steve locked his hand around your wrist again. He still hasn't picked up his head, but his arm, stronger than the last time you saw him, was reached out to you. Your gaze drops to his fingers, decorated in scars, then up to his face, where you can see tears starting to roll down his cheeks.
You dropped back into the seat.
__________
For weeks, the two of you did a sort of dance. He would say nothing of the nine years that he was gone. You tiptoed your way around your heart.
It just wasn’t the same as how it had been for so long. You had both changed. A sigh, probably the thousandth that week, escaped you. Steve looked over to you, brow raised. With one final shove, he pushed the new board into place, patching the hole in the side of the dilapidated barn.
“I think I’ve heard you sigh more than I’ve heard you actually speak. What’s goin’ on?” He questions. You turn your head, then push yourself off of the barn wall, clutching the toolbox tightly.
“Nothing,” You lie. A clap of thunder in the distance sounds, and it seems as though mother nature is calling you out on your lie. Steve stands to his full height, a doubtful look on his face.
“Really?” He chuckles. Another crash of thunder sounds. Closer. Followed by a flash of lightning.
“Yes, really. I’m fine,” You reinforce.
He nods, takes the box of tools from you, and places his hand over your shoulder to guide you gently back to the house, just as the rain begins to fall.
“It took me a long time to figure out when you lie,” Steve raises his voice to be heard over the near downpour. “And right now, you’re doing a real bad job of trying to fool me.”
You huff, and cover your head with your arms to keep the cold drops from landing in your eyes. Failing at your makeshift umbrella, you huff and drop your arms as you both splash through the mud puddles.
“Well, Steve, that was a long time ago,” You say, somewhat harshly. Behind you, you can hear his steps falter slightly, to your slight satisfaction. “Right,” He mutters, just as you both reach the screen porch door. You yank it open, harder than you hoped. It squeals in protest, nearly coming off its hinges.
Dropping into one of the kitchen chairs, you peel your boots off, then move to the sink to strip your jacket off, sopping wet and clinging to you. You drop it in, and turn to face Steve.
“What happened?” You ask, shaking your head and throwing your hands out to the side.
Steve freezes, halfway between placing the tools down, and with a look of shocked confusion on his face.
“What do you mean? Am I missing something?” He asks, a slight waiver in his voice. Slowly, he places the metal box down, and snags the dish towel.
“Yes! I mean no! I don’t know! Maybe we're both missing something, because damn it Steve, something happened!” You burst out. Steve freezes, confusion washing over him in waves.
You growl in frustration, and snatch your jacket back, twisting it to wring the water from it. It splashed down into the iron bowl, a crescendo of taps.
Whipping it out, you glare at him.
“You have been gone for almost ten years! And you come back like nothing has happened. Like no time has passed at all!” You march up to him, and jab a finger at his chest. He takes a step back, eyes wide and brow raised.
“Y/N, I know that--”
“No, I don’t think you do! You come back, and you won't even tell me anything! You not only keep yourself up at night, but you keep me up! I’m sick with worry every time I hear you yell, and you won’t let me help!” You yell, hot tears pooling in your eyes. Steve falls silent, just staring at you, waiting to see what you would say next.
You don’t continue, however, as you wait for his explanation. Or excuse. Or something.
Nothing.
You almost growl, and let the first of a cascade of tears race down your cheeks.
“You left! You left me standing in the middle of the street! I was there and my heart was breaking. I realize that you had just lost your mother, but you could have stayed!”
The man in front of you takes a step back. His features steel and he moves forward again.
“How would I have been able to stay here? Huh? How could I stay here when I failed her?” He asks, pain radiating from his voice.
“Failed her?” You fire back. “Steve, she got tuberculosis, there was nothing you could have done and you know it!”
He visibly deflates. More salty tears make their way down your cheeks and you poke his shoulder again.
He shakes his head, his own eyes welling in sorrow.
“You had people here that loved you. I loved you, Steve Rogers. And you walked away to a place where you had no one in your corner,” You finish your tirade, voice dropping lower and lower as you take a step back.
Waiting for a minute for his answer, you nod. Turning, you grab your shoes, and march out the door, and into the storm, not caring that your socks were now wet and mud stained. You cry openly. Sobs muffled by the crash of the thunder.
Another crash, and it might be thunder, but it also might be the screen door, so you glance over your shoulder. You walk faster as you see Steve running through the rain towards you. His fingers brush against your elbow, and you jerk away. He tries again, and this time is able to twist you around. “I love you! I love you, okay? There, you got me to say it. Happy?” Steve shouts over the rain. You glare at him, but soften as you realize the sincerity in his words. You can see it written all across his face. In the way that he cries too.
“No,” Your voice waivers. “I’m not.”
“Then give me a chance to prove it to you.”
__________
Months crawl by. Fast, but still slow.
All that built up trust and friendship, the hidden love, comes crawling back to the both of you.
You sit under the pine tree that grows along the drive, the autumn sun shining down, fingers twined together. You rest your head on Steve’s shoulder, staring at one of the feral kittens that have come to inhabit his farm over the last few weeks.
Soft breathing, in and out, jostling your head slightly.
“Thank you.” You hear Steve, and pick your head up to look at him. You furrow your brow, and lift your hand to brush the hair from his eyes.
“For what?”
“For giving me a chance,” He replies. You smile at him, and drop a kiss onto his shoulder. He presses one to the top of your head.
When you look up again, he grins. Wide and toothy, just like the ones he would show you as you climbed the pine tree you now both sat under some fifteen years ago.
“What?” You laugh. “I really want to kiss you right now. May I?”
“I’m going to be mad if you don’t.” With his own laugh, he moves to cup your cheek. With a glint in his eye, he presses a soft kiss to your lips. Pulling back, he presses down another, and another.
And as the light of dusk slips behind the far hills on the other side of the field of hay, turning the sky purple, you both remain curled together. Lips locked, hearts swollen with love.
The sky darkens, and as the stars appear, everything is calm.

better with time. Ch 16
you're not safe.
You're hit with a harsh reality check. Just because you're not out there, beyond the walls, doesn't mean you're safe. (AO3)
Words: 1,570
“What are we doing here... it’s been two hours and nothing.” Connie complained, holding his head in his hands. Sasha only hummed lazily in response, a blank look to her eyes. You shook your head at their conversation before averting your attention to Bertholdt’s and Reiner’s chess game.
“Think of it like a day off, we don’t have any training or expeditions today since we’re here. We aren’t even dressed for work.” Sasha said after the quiet threatened to put her to sleep.
“Don’t you find that odd? Being in our plain clothes and not allowed to do anything. Even more suspicious, everyone outside is armed...” Reiner chimed in while Bertholdt took his time expertly deciding where to place his rook. You shifted uncomfortably, knowing exactly why everyone was here unarmed. They’re investigating us to weed out any more titans in the ranks, and it only makes sense that you’re here too, according to Hange. You decided to change to subject before the scouts got any more suspicious.
“W-what are expeditions like? On a good day, I mean?” You asked awkwardly. The table lapsed into silence for a moment before Bertholdt responded.
“On an ideal expedition no one dies, we count how many titans are within forty kilometers of the wall, and then we head home by lunch. We haven't experienced an ideal expedition.” He cleared his throat after his last comment and watched as Reiner placed his knight down onto the wooden chess board.
“Oh... I’m sorry I shouldn’t have asked––”
“No, don’t be sorry Y/N it all comes with the work! Bertholdt and I understand as much, I’m not too sure about these kids here.” He said, chuckling as he nodded towards Connie and Sasha starting a lazy game of I Spy.
“Kids? Aren’t you only a few years older than them?” You laughed, getting to know Reiner more today was nice. He seemed like a funny guy and dependable, at the very least by the younger scouts. You adored his close relationship to Bertholdt, they seemed a lot like brothers in your eyes. A faint blush tickled Reiner’s cheeks at your words, making Bertholdt stifle a small laugh before refocusing himself with the game of chess.
“I like to think of myself as a big brother to a lot of these guys.” He said, stumbling over his words just a bit, you supposed he’s shy when talking about his feelings.
“I like to think of you as a warrior...” Bertholdt cuts in, he had a small smile on his lips but they didn’t quite reach his eyes. You didn’t pay that any mind, no one else seemed to notice besides Reiner anyway.
“Well anyway, Y/N, how old are you?” The blonde brute asked, changing the subject. You thought about it for a moment, you thought about your features and how you looked in the mirror. You didn’t look old per say but in your heart, you knew you weren’t around their age. The way you carried yourself, you factored in the time you spent as a titan, and how when you woke up your hair was overgrown. You can’t imagine you had your hair so long it almost dusted the floor in your past life so you decided to take a guess.
“To be generous, I’ll guess I’m in my twenties at the very least. Twenty-five to shoot for the middle?” You added, shrugging your shoulders.
“Oh really? You don’t look a day over a hundred!” A snarky voice called from over your shoulder. It was Ymir, she stood behind you with two drinks in hand, one for herself and the other, you imagined, was for Christa. You frowned at her words, but shook them off with a small laugh.
“One hundred and twenty-five then, I suppose.” You said, giving Ymir a short smile. Ymir tried to look annoyed with you but her resolve crumbled, a small smirk playing around her lips. Up close you noted the way her freckles danced about as she spoke, her eyes narrowing at you, no real venom to it. Ymir was interesting to say the least, though thorny from time to time.
“Ymir! Stop teasing!” Christa called from the back of the room, without missing a beat Ymir turned on her heels and made her way back to her friend.
“Alright alright, I’m only playing around!” You heard her say nonchalantly. Turning back to your table you caught Bertholdt and Reiner sharing some intense eye contact before they broke away and looked back to the game before them. It was odd but you couldn’t think more about it before Connie and Sasha showered you with questions.
“Do you remember anything about being a titan?!” Sasha asked, scooting over to be across from you. Connie scooched forward now too into your personal space to ask his own invasive questions.
“Was it fun being so big? Do people even taste good?” He asked, his golden eyes boring into your own. His eyes were so large it was almost unnerving, you pushed back on his shoulders so that he was sitting properly again and not leaning forward to you.
“Okay, okay! I don’t remember much alright, and I definitely don’t remember... eating anybody. I’m glad for that!” You said, and for the next half hour you answered questions, paying no mind to the way you drew attention from other scouts, or the way Ymir’s stare made the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end.
“So... How’d you come back?” Connie asked, his brows knitted together in thought.
“W-well, I hadn’t eaten so the... my titan was frail. Hange told me they don’t need to eat to survive but still I was weakened. Hadn’t moved for years and just suddenly it’s like I could hear the outside world. But with my own regular ears, it was muffled, and my back felt warm. And so... I just moved, and it felt different. It wasn’t the titan but my own body. I’m not sure I think time and lack of food, and the fact that I somehow kept sane through it all helped. That’s all I remember. I’m not even sure how or why I was a titan. It sounds impossible!” You said, finally silencing yourself after rambling trying to piece together your past.
“Well from our perspective, Levi all but ripped you from out of that titan. We thought you were eaten and cutting your way out with all the steam but it was coming out of you too.” Reiner said, his once laxed attitude nowhere to be found. He sounded serious and cold now, the muscles of his arms flexed.
“He dropped you in Reiner’s arms and we took you back to base. You looked like Eren with the little titan muscle things attached to your face. Egh!” Sasha added, sounding a little queasy as she recalled the events. Your brows raised; this was news to you. You touched at your cheek as you took in her words.
“And you were naked.” Connie added, snickering as he disclosed the information. A furious blush formed on your face, frazzled you slammed your head down onto the table before you to hide your shame. The force knocking over a few pieces of Bertholdt and Reiner’s chess game to the point that they decided to abandon the game all together.
“Why would you tell me that!” You whined, Connie always seemed like the childish type, his playful antics only growing with Sasha nearby. You groaned, what a great first impression you had with Levi. Hell, with the rest of the scouts as well. You were so new to everything that happened the moment you were free that you hadn’t even noticed you were unclothed. You continued to furiously shake your head, trying in vain to free yourself from the memory.
“That looks like a good idea.” Sasha said with a yawn. She dropped her own head harshly onto the wooden table, for a nap you suppose. She was only there for a moment before she snapped her head up, a fear-stricken expression on her.
“I hear thuds! Like footsteps!” She shouted, out of breath. You didn’t understand what was happening but she caught the attention of everyone in the room. A bead of sweat slipped down Reiner’s face.
“Get serious Sasha... If you’re suggesting that there’s titans that would mean... That would mean that Wall Rose fell.” He said, not sounding like he wanted to believe Sasha’s words, but his expression told another story.
Titans... here?
“Titans are coming?” You said, your voice trembling, you hadn’t seen a titan since you were a titan. The anxiety pierced through your, your heart thrumming painfully fast.
“It’s true! I really hear it!” She said standing with her hands in the air. Your hands began to tremble, palms feeling clammy. Bertholdt noticed your fear, his eyes darting between you and Reiner. Before Sasha could continue, Nanaba was outside the window with a cold look in her eye.
“Multiple titans, five hundred meters to the south. They’re coming right this way.” She informed, addressing the room. Your mouth fell open, this couldn’t be happening. You never had time to address your own fear of titans. You had struggled with nightmares of them and of the hell you endured out there. You shook your head slowly, trying to will your mind that this was all a very vivid dream.
“No...”

Nora's Knightly Love
Trigger Warning: mentions of noncon and rape you have been warned.
Nora had some troubles, well actually it was a lot of troubles.
From night terrors, to night terrors and night... ok so, Nora has nightmares because of...a lot. Nora lived in the North where if you aren't strong, you die,and she almost did, repeatedly from Beowulfs to Ursas to...people...
Gods...if it wasn't for mother she wouldn't be a virgin today...
That's not a memory she relishes, watching her mother be used as a toy for men like she's nothing but a hole to fuck...Nora was five years old and they were gonna do that to her...fuck, she's crying and shaking again.
Damnit fuck fuck fuck why can't she forget that night daMNIT!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nora's crying again...he should do something...
"Hey Nora, you ok?" he asked meekly
"Huh!" she nearly jumped from her bed at that "Um, um, ye 'm fine..."
"You're not very good at lying" he said while getting up...he's not wearing his pijamas.
"When’d you start sleeping shirtless Fearless Leader? Also are those shorts?" she was curious...and also deflecting.
He moved closer she could see him better now...when'd he get so buff? When he sat down at her bed she realized something...Pyrrha and Rennie were out on their date...
"Started when Yang decided to steal it, apparently she feels comfy in it...weird huh?"
"Yea..."
Awkward silence, more awkward silence even more awkward silence...
“C’mon Nora you can talk to me I'm your leader...and hopefully your friend?" wait, was he unsure of that?
“‘F’course you're my friend Jauney, why, did you think weren't?" Huh weird she's calmer, maybe it has something to do with talking to Fearless Leader? He does have a pretty reassuring presence.
"Well, maybe there's some culture shock with you being a Northerner and me being Arcadian, but in Arcadia when a friend is feeling down we talk about it and sort it out together, would you like that? Would you like to talk?" He was trying to be reassuring… his sisters were always better at it than him.
"...ok" Nora sounds so meek, this is weird.
"You sure? We don't have to y'know" He was calming to her, talking with him made her less scared...maybe this is what she needs?
"Growing up in the North is difficult Jaune-" whoa she called him Jaune not Fearless Leader or Jauney...this is serious "-You either fight back against the world and it's dangers or you die...or worse..." at that Nora saw Jaune recoil slightly not noticeable if they weren't this close…huh…
"My mom and I lived with dad until he was taken by the cold...my only memory of him is lighting his pyre with mum..." she took a breath...this is harder than she predicted. Damnit...
"Then me and mum decided to head south, to warmer lands, away from the shithole that is the North-" wait...is Jaune ok, he looks weird...she'll keep talking with a closer eye now..."-But before we got to the seas...we...we were attacked by raider..."
Jaune was now visibly sweating and breathing heavy, memories were flooding back...bad, bad memories...
"Nothing happened to me but...mum let herself be...used by them she, she was raped Jaune, just so I wouldn't, and then they took her away like some trophy of conquest...that's how I became an orphan...Jaune?" uh oh he's freaking out.
"Jaune, JAUNE!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jaune awoke today was a special day, today would be the day his dad finally train him, actually, really train him, with Crocea Mors! This was going to be the start his glory, his heroism would begin today! Hahah oh that’s corny heheh…But he really couldn’t wait…
…So Jaune had taken Crocea Mors to train alone in the woods, so what? He was already gonna train with dad anyway!
(CRACK)
“Huh? What was that?” oookkk so Jaune was suddenly a little worried.
“Well, well, well ain’t you a pretty lil’ thang” came a hoarse voice from the trees.
“Who? Who’s there!? I-I have a sword!” Shit shit shit; Jaune wasn’t ready for this sorta stuff! Fighting some Creeps or young Beowulfs is one thing but fighting someone is different!
“Ohohoho, looks like this blond cutie has sum fight in’im…good, more fun this way…” that’s really, really creepy and concerning.
“Where are you!? Show yourself!” Jaune tried being intimidated.
“Oh don’tchu worry, ya won’t have time to anyways”
“wha-”
“you’ll be more worried about breathin’ with a cock in yer throat hahahaha!”
At that Jaune chose to make the smart move: run like hell!
Except he didn’t get away…
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“JAUNE!” Nora screamed.
“Huh, wha!?”
“Are you okay!? No, don’t answer that you, clearly aren’t!”
“I-I uh…”
Jaune was silent now, which for Nora was a bad sign…
…Maybe it’s time for Nora to act less like a Northerner and start acting more like an Arcadian…
“Jauney…yo-um-ya-crap, ok, Jaune” she said searching for words and getting his attention.
“Jaune look at me” he did.
“Did did-um did I bring some bad things up? I mean obviously I did but-um” ugh this is difficult how do Arcadians do it?
“Did I bring anything bad for you?”
“Ye-yea, I um…you just reminded me how I lost my…”
“Virginity?” she really hopes he says no, please for Brothers sake say no!
“Yea…”
“Oh Jaune I-I’m sorry I didn’t mean to I-” She made him remember such a horrible thing…
“Don’t, you couldn’t have known” she shouldn’thave known…
Nora got up stood in front of Jaune and held her arms open…Nora isn’t good at this but at least she knows hugs are good comfort…
...Jaune accepted the hug.
“You can cry Jaune …please cry it’s good for you…”
“(Hick) I’m not goin’ to cry (hick)”
“Stop forcing yourself to be strong…isn’t that what you made me do? I’m here…”
At that Jaune broke down like a faulty dam, and he didn’t stop crying for a long, long time.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That was a week ago.
Jauney and I have been spending more time together we’re supporting each other as best we can…
…My nightmares are going away, well, not really, but with Jauney's help they’re…manageable…I’ve found myself talking less with Rennie, and I don’t really mind it weirdly, oh well, Rennie does need to spend more time with his girlfriend after all…
…Hope Pyrrha's taking care of him well.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nora and I have been talking about our…pasts a lot lately, its helping.
Nora and I also have been having these weird silences, not awkward but comforting, is this what friends feel all the time? Pyrrha and I don’t have these silences, neither do any of the other girls, huh, kinda feels special for some reason…
…I like the silence.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Almost a month now, me and Jauney have been talking for a month, and I feel like we’ve bonded so much over so little time, maybe we’ve bonded even faster than Rennie and I did...I like it Jaune and I’s bond, feels good, really good…
…I think I like him, like, like-him-like-him. I’m okay with it, more than okay actually…
…Does he feel the same?... Why am I even worrying he doesn’t?...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I really like Nora, oh who’s believing that blatant lie?
I Love Nora. As more than a friend, I love Nora romantically…
…Maybe she feels the same? Oh, who am I kidding? she’d never love someone like me, not after… (sigh)
Maybe I should just ask her out she’ll reject me and we can go back to talking like friends.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alright perfect Ren and Pyrrha are away I can ask Him/Her
“Hey Nora/Jaune” they said simultaneously
“Oh, go ahead Nora” always the gentleman, one of his many charms.
“Nu-uh Fearless leader you first!” she said playfully
“yeahokayIcandothis” Jaune said under his breath
“Nora” “Yeah?” “Would you go get some dinner with me?”
“Ooh like dinner pancakes? Sure Jauney, you’re the best!” she was so excited (sigh) she’s amazing…
“N-No more like a-ummm”
“A what Jauney?”
“Wouldyougooutonadatewithme?” Oh great, he messed it up.
“…” her silence is so deafening, I really fucked up huh?
“…YES!!!” wait wut?
“Ohyoudon’tknowhowmanyweeksI’vewaitedforeitherofustoaskthatIwasgonna askyououtmyselfbecauseIcouldn’twaitand-”
“Nora! Nora calm down and speak in a way I can understand”
“I, yea, sorry, got too excited, started talking Nora mode, anyways-” she was…still talking really fast, but at least he could understand now! “-The answer is yes, also fuck yes and also gods I’ve waited too long to do: this!”
Suddenly Nora lunged forward and stabbed Jaune…Nah she just kissed him…WAIT A DAMN MINUTE!
“mhnph!” “Mmm~oh yeah, always knew you’d taste good Jauney~” “…izzat a yes?”
“What do you think?” “I think I’m dreaming that’s what” Nora giggled at that, fuck, even her laugh is adorable
“Well you’re wide awake, and, you got yourself a date! Isn’t that a confidence boost~” Fucking hell Nora knows how to be seductive.
“I’m the luckiest guy in beacon right now!” he said with his signature goofy grin
“Well” she wrapped her arms around his “where’s our date going to be?”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gambling man //Yandere Idia Shroud Gang AU//
Tumblr media
This has got to be one of my longest fics so far, if only because I tried to stuff it with Greek mythology references. Let me know how many you guys can find!
💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
I met you once, I loved you twice that's the way this tale begins
You took a deep breath, straightening your black dress for the third time that minute. You weren't supposed to be here, this wasn't something "good girls" did. They didn't lie to their mothers just to sneak out to casinos run by one of the seven notorious gangs of Night Raven city! But what choice did you have? Money was tight, you're mother's flower store was barely surviving. No one wanted freshly picked Forget-me-nots or bouquets of narcissus and roses! Any "normal" person in Night Raven city didn't have enough money to buy dinner for their families let alone an assortment of flowers. The truth was that no one in the city could ever make ends meet, not with the amount of "protection" money the seven gangs demanded. Each territory had a set price range, all inhabitants of those territories had to pay that exact price every two weeks, failure to do so would lead broken bones, burnt homes and as a last resort dead family members. Each time gang took over a rival gang's territory the price would increase as a sort of punishment for the residents. It was cruel, unjust, but then again so was the world.
You and your mother lived in the current "Purple territory" run by the Octavinelle gang, the greediest out of the dreaded seven. Ever since someone tipped the local cops off about a gang-related kidnapping, the "protection costs" had risen by 20%. Whoever was barley scavenging money back then was surely penniless at this point. So that's why you were here, hoping to somehow win enough money to pay at least a quarter of the next "protection rent". The blue division nicknamed the underworld was one of the better divisions. People there paid less, lived more prosperous lives, businesses their earned fair income somewhere even booming with business. One of the blue divisions most alluring aspects was the Night Long casinos, a place where people from all over the city tested their luck.
The skull doorknobs were icy to the touch, sending shivers up your spine upon contact. It was almost like you were willingly walking to your death. For a split second you closed your eyes, grounding your thoughts. This was stupid, everyone went to the casino when they were short on money. Of course if they actually gained anything -or lost what little they had- was all up to faith.
the bright lights glared from every corner. Blinding any who dared to open the metallic black door. Music reverberated off the walls, rushing to crush the guests. Everything was blinding and uproarious, beyond overwhelming for any newcomers. Your body shook, torso feeling too heavy for your frail legs.
"Fist time kid?" You turned around rapidly, a cold sweat broke over you, had you done something wrong? How could that even be possible? You just got here! When your attention shifted to the source of the voice you were momentarily stunned. Sitting behind a desk, a blue screen floating close to her face, was the most exquisite girl you had ever seen. Tiny black skulls decorated her curly blond hair, her fair milky skinned hand carelessly swiped through digital documents on a hovering Netscreen. Her Olympic blue eyes circled with heavy dripping black makeup, were fixed on you, bearing right through your soul.
Your voice refused to leave your throat, words stabbed the inside of your neck sticking themselves to your throat forbidding air through. The girl behind the receptionist's desk let out a haughty giggle before outstretching her arm beckoning you forward. Hesitantly you stepped over to her, body trembling with every step. As you approached she leaned forward a playful smirk shining over her face. "You're new here aren't you sweetie?"  inelegantly you nodded. For a second a look of sympathy fashed over her divine features. "Money's tight huh?" again you nodded, head half away up something shined in the corner of your vision. A blue and back armband fastened tightly around her bicep. She was a member of the Ignihyde gang, not just some lowly secretary. The girl didn't seem to notice your staring, her eyes were darting across the packed rooms. "Those two bottom feeders seem to be occupied" she mumbled more so to herself. "That would just leave Ortho," cupping her hands around her mouth she yelled over the roaring music and endless chatter. In moments a young-looking boy skipped over....except he wasn't a boy at all! You're eyes frantically scanned the boy's stark white body. His feet resembled hooves more than usual feet. Half his face was covered by a muzzle of sorts that blended in the snowy appearance of his torso.
"Ortho, be a dear and show this young lady around, she's new and wants to earn some quick cash." No sooner had the words left her mouth that her attention jolted back to the hovering screens, back to scrolling through names and credits. "Right this way miss" The young boy, who you presumed was named Ortho called, somehow he'd already skipped ahead. You rushed over to him, following this the shine that the metal of his body emitted. "And this is the blackjack table, my big brother is in charge of running games, let's stop by and say hi!!" "O-okay"
In the past nineteen minutes that you had met Ortho, all the young boy talked about was his "amazing older brother". How wonderful this man must be to have engraved his presence so deeply in the mind of such a young...child. Steadily you followed Ortho over to a green table in the middle of the room. Arching over the soft green table was a black neon sign with bold white lights spelling out the word "BLACKJACK". Tiny money chips and playing cards flashed around haphazardly.
Ortho ran up to the table, slapping his palms on the fuzzy surface, sending frail cards flying in all directions. "Big brother! I met a new girl a the door! She's so nice, a bit quiet but she's so sweet! Hey, big brother do you want to meet her? Do you? Hey (y/n) come over here! This is my big brother Idia!"
Dame that boy really could talk a mile a minute couldn't he? Tensely you eyed the tall man that Ortho was talking to. It took a minute for everything to click. The blue hair that resembled wild flames, dark yellow grief-filled eyes, and teeth as sharp as a shark's, it had to be him!
Idia Shroud the inherited leader of the Ignyhide gang, sister organization to the avaricious Octavinelle and owner of the Underworld casinos.
The man was rarely seen in public, it was rumored that he suffered from a strange curse which is why he remained locked up in his mansion most of his life. Yet here he was, nodding along to the ramblings of his....younger brother? For a split second his golden orbs darted towards you, absorbing every detail of your frame before returning to his brother. You stifled down a yelp, not wanting to draw any more attention to yourself. Endless minutes seemed to scurry by as Ortho drowned on about every little thing he had noticed about, every theory for why you walked like there was a gun pointed at your head, or why your eyes lingered longer the 0.58 seconds on every someone every time they started celebrating their victories.  It was mind-numbing, you wondered how Idia could just nod along without bang his head on the table out of annoyance.
"Hey" You felt a sharp tung on your arm, almost knocking you off your feet. Subconsciously you let out a loud welp, casing the two Shroud brothers to turn to you. You craned your neck trying to look behind you. A tall slender man's fingers where wrapped suffocatingly tightly around your forearm, causing the appendage to turn white. "Are you here to play or just stare at Idia-sama?" his voice bordered in between a threat and a question. His honey-colored eyes glared daggers at you.
You tried to for a coherent answer, your throat only pushing out a few syllables repeatedly like a broken record. "Actually Pain she was just getting ready to play blackjack with me" Idia's voice was creaky and horse, it was like his words were coming from the inside of a damp cave. The flame-haired man's lips pushed apart forming a smile of sorts, displaying his fang-like teeth. The man quickly let go of you, pushing you slightly towards the two brothers. Obediently you took a seat on one of the tall stools. Idia began to shuffle a deck of grayish blue cards, his eyes never once leaving your form. "Come one Pain let's go get them some drinks" Ortho cheered as he capered over to the taller man and guided him into the sea of players. "How much do you want to be?" Idia queried, his long fingers rearranging the deck in a mesmerizing manner. It suddenly occurred to you why you had even come to this suffocating place in the first place. To win some money, to help mother. You shuffled through your purse and scavenged out a crumpled twenty dollar bill, nervously you leaned over the table to pass it to Idia. His thing fingers grasped the bill and shoved it into the pocket of his tuxedo pants. Half-heartedly he tossed you two blue chips and a green one. "Um I think you made a -" he brought a finger to his lips and made a "shushing" noise. You simply gulped and awaited him to pass you your cards.
Hours ticked by, people began to leave, the once crowded room had been reduced to a bored-looking secretary, two bodyguards tossing cards back and forth and a little robot who gazed at the pair at the blackjack table. Glee and sheer excitement pooling in his electronic iris. The game had started out in utter silence, every single sound around the two of you had by some magic faded into the abyss.  You had surprisingly one three rounds gathering a total of one hundred thirty-five dollars, not nearly enough for even a quarter of next month's payment. The next two rounds were one by Idia who didn't even seem to be paying attention to the game. It was around this time that he had reluctantly asked you why you were here. It might have been the optimist in you or maybe the drinks that Ortho and the bodyguards kept serving periodically. But you had cracked, told him everything. How you're mother couldn't make enough to afford three meals a day, how she starved her self to be able to feed you a minimal breakfast and lunch. How the Octavinelle gang had risen the prices on their "protection money" and how you just wanted to help! You were desperate to make life just a tiny bit easier for your mother! Every time one miserable story came to an end there was another waiting to take its spot. Sometimes you swore you saw pity and sadness cross over Idia's features but again that could just be explained by the drinks you had consumed.
It must have been the third round, Idia had won for the fourth time in a row. You were about to push the few chips you had to his side, when the Ignihyde gang leader slammed his hand on the table, imitating his brother's action from earlier. "I can help!" he blurted but then quickly recalled hunching his shoulders. "I can pay your mother's debts!" Your eyes widen, ears ringing with the mystical words you had just heard. No No No! There was no way in hell that a heartless mob boss would agree to help your family. "W-what do...what do you mean!" for the first time his golden eyes locked with your (e/c) ones. "I'll tell Azul to lower the prices a bit and I'll pay your mother protection money" You jumped to your feet about to hop over the table and hug him! Joy coursed through your body your brain spinning in every direction trying to make sense of what you had just been told! How could a descendant of the "Lord of the dead" harbor such kindness in his heart! "THANK YOU IDIA I--" before you could finish or even get close to him he stuck out a pale arm. "But there's a price", sadness and threads of shock washed over you, of course there was a price. There was always a catch with everything in this city, even kindness didn't come for free. Your eyes lowered staring at your shoes, then his shoes, and back to your shoes. "Which is?" you mumbled. Horrific thoughts flashed through your mind. What was he going to make you do? Force you to work as a waitress in the casino? Maybe a stripper for the VIP lounge? Would he force you to become a prostitute on the street to repay him the money he had so "graciously" offered you!?
A cold sweat began to glisten over your face, just what had you gotten yourself into? You could feel Idia's icy slender finger pinch your chine as he gradually tilted your child up. There was a look of uncertainty on his eerie face. His lips would part, move even but no words would fly out. The once comfortable silence had now turned rotten and began to decay. Finally, the tips of a word became to clumsily fall from his mouth."S-s-stay....stay here with--" his eyes fell to the floor, the quickly swam up to stare into yours with also much faux courage as he could muster up. "Stayherewithme!" he blurted out in a single outstretched breath. It took a moment for your brain to nitpick the words apart, analyze each jumble to comprehend what they meant.
"The lord of the dead use to have a queen, it was said that dispute her being a powerful goddess she could not obstruct the dreadful curse that the Lord of Olympus had bestowed on his younger brother. But her mere presence was more than enough to subdue the pain that he felt." Idia leaned forward, his greying chapped lips brushing against your soft ones, for a second it resembled a kiss. But before your lips fully touched he slithered both hands up, to cup your cheek as he rested his forehead against yours.
"But why me?" You quizzed. After all you had just met him a few hours ago. It didn't add up! From the distance you heard an exhausted sight before a silvery voice yelled.
"You the first girl to talk to him, since he was a kid. So the idiot thinks it's destiny and you are meant to be the spring goddess to his god of the underworld!"
Your eyes went up to meet his, all you had to do was stay with this man until your mother, had saved enough money to lead a comfortable life. Then you could escape and reunite with her once more. Either way he wasn't really leaving you much a choice, even if you decline he could order those two brutish bodyguards to drag you to his mansion and chain you up there. You closed your eyes tightly, he may not show it outwardly but he really was a cold-hearted monster, a fiendish salesman through and through. Dangling you and your family's fortune in front of you and pretending like he was giving you a fair choice.
"I really don't have like time to bat this around I'm kind of on a schedule I got plans for august I need an answer like now!... Going once...Going twice1" Idia declared as his once blue flamed hair began to taint a fiery orange-red.
Your eyes and mouth seemed to have made the choice for you, the second your eyes flashed open your mouth parted and said...
"ALL RIGHT!"
I've never been a gambling man, I've never had the winning hand but for you, I'd lose it all!

Jingle Bell Rock and Roll
Mayday woke up with a grunt, her body feeling lazy and stiff. It usually did in the cold weather since she’s curled up in her blankets. However, Zuke was always an early bird in the winter, making them both cups of hot coffee to get started on the day. She stretched on her bed, not wanting to make it. She didn’t usually, but what was the point? It would get messy again and she loved messy beds. It’s like little caves and entrances.
She leaned over the edge and looked at the bottom bunk upside down. Zuke was already up, as she theorized, and had his bed made neatly. However… this morning seemed different.
She jumped to the bottom, landing on her hands and feet, then scuttled to the kitchen, sniffing the air. She smelled… ham? And some sort of vegetable dish, possibly regular steamed vegetables. She also smelled peppermint brownies, mashed potatoes… what was going on?
She got to the living room, Zuke dressed up in a Christmas sweater that had two drumsticks on it as a design, the sweater itself being green with red sleeves. He looked up, nose and ears red from being in the hot kitchen. Some sweat glistened on his forehead, to which he wiped a cloth on his face and stretched.
“Coffee’s on the table,” he announced to her.
She looked at him and made her way to the table, stumbling over Ellie once and then grabbed her cup. She drank it, the coffee filled with cream and doused with sugar and a hint of vanilla; just the way she liked it. But it also had a peppermint, mocha taste to it. Before she could question, Zuke noted her confused look and gestured to the calendar. She stared at it, almost dropping her drink.
“It’s Christmas Eve!?!?”
With that shock awakening her, she noticed the sewers were decorated. Gingerbread men and cups of cocoa paper cut outs were strung up with red and green lights around the walls, near the ceiling. There was a wreath where the table was, the table itself lined with a red table cloth, a holly centerpiece with nutmeg candles, making the sewers smelling just a bit better. The tree had all sorts of decorations with golden tinsel, white lights, red and green ornaments, and a lovely golden star on top. On TV, which Zuke had recently purchased from tips for his drumming, were some Christmas Classics of all sorts. She blinked and downed her coffee in one swoop. She had been waiting for this day! “Yes!!” she cheered out, running back into the bedroom. “Yes, yes, yes, yes, yeeesss!!”
Zuke chuckled and checked on his ham. This year, they both decided to have the artists come over for Christmas. Some were reluctant, but with Tatiana’s encouragement, they all decided, ‘Why not?’ and went with the plan. Mayday was excited since it would be the first year everyone would be together! She felt like she was about to burst…!
She got in the closet and donned on a Santa dress, putting reindeer horns on her head and even adding red make up to her nose, then knee high boots that glistened black like coal. With a hop of joy and a spring in her step, she ran out to Zuke, thinking she could help, but didn’t know the first idea of cooking.
“Wanna set the gifts out?” he suggested. She nodded eagerly, acting like Santa’s little helper and putting the perfectly wrapped gifts under the tree, organizing them neatly. She looked at the stuffed stockings on the wall above a heater that looked like a fireplace. All were filled to the brim with toys, sweets, and all sorts of goodies. Her stocking was the most excitable to see. Zuke was Santa this year, as he always was since Mayday would be too eager to keep secrets and already she saw a little guitar candy dispenser. As if she didn’t need enough sugar. Zuke’s stocking was also full, but he let Mayday fill his and give him presents since he couldn’t do that for himself. She went all out this year for his buddy!
“When will they be here?” she wondered, jumping a bit in place.
“We agreed at two,” he laughed. Mayday whipped her head to see the clock. 9:43!?
“That’s…!” she stopped and counted her fingers. “Seven hours from now!”
“More than enough time to get this dinner ready and do any last minute Christmas shopping.”
She huffed and plopped herself on the couch. Zuke may be patient, but she wasn’t! All those presents needed to be dug into! The candy needed to be devoured! Feasts needed to be in her belly! Although… this did give her an idea. She was saving money and if she could earn a little extra more… she could get this gift for Zuke she’s been wanting to give him. So, sneakily and quietly, she devised a plan.
“Zuke, can I have fifty dollars?”
“Sorry, broke at the moment,” he told her.
Okay, plan A didn’t work. Still, she wouldn’t give up! She quickly grabbed her guitar and whipped it on her back.
“I’m going out!” she announced. Zuke gave a nod and up she went. Not only would she get the perfect gift, but it would be a time waster! She’ll be back and everything would be ready!!
Going through the plaza, it was truly magical. She stopped to take in the moment of the snowflakes drifting down from the skies, the snow piled up high around her knees, just below, and lights strung all about. Even though it was early, it was also dark enough to see them. People were out already, getting gifts and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas as they passed. This was perfect!
She set up in front of the fountain, readying her guitar. She sat down and played, some people coming over and watching. She played some Christmas classics; Frosty the Snowman, Jingle Bells, Silver Bells. As more people gathered, she looked up. “Tips are welcome…! she beamed. With that, coins and dollar bills were put into a hat a man offered. She happily took requests anyone asked for bigger tips.
As she played, Yinu saw her with her mama, smiling and going over.
“Hi, Mayday!”
The orange girl still played lightly as she looked down at the blonde, then up at the red figure approaching. Yinu was dressed in a lovely silver coat and little boots, her waist in the snow. Her mother wore a golden long coat, smiling at the guitarist.
“Merry Christmas,” she spoke softly.
“Thanks!” she beamed right back.
“Why are you out here playing?” Yinu wondered.
“Just for tips! I have this awesome gift for my buddy and I only need just a bit more!”
The mother gave a smile. Sure, Mayday was a hassle, but so was Yinu. If anything, she saw Mayday as a second child almost. Almost. She dug in her wallet and pulled out a five.
“Hope you get what you need,” she told her. Mayday offered a large smile as the two left, Yinu jumping up and down in the snow in order to get anywhere.
As soon as blisters opened up in her fingers, she stopped playing and bowed. They were cracking under the cold. With a wince she hid well, she bowed before everyone, who offered more tips and left. Mayday emptied the hat, returned it to the man, and sat on the side of the fountain to count the change and bills.
“13.43.. 13.48… 14.50… okay, lots of dollars short but I can’t keep playing…” she huffed. She stuffed the money in her pocket, as well as her hands after swinging her guitar over her back. After double checking to see if she left any change, she found nothing and tried to formulate another plan. “I can’t give up. This is the perfect gift!”
Fifty dollars, that’s all she needed! She glanced at the clock near the center of the plaza, seeing it was at 10:21. She still had time! And she had another plan!
Christmas in Akusuka was always pretty. Pastel sweets, gentle lighting, enchanting vibes all around. And the people here were so nice! Sure, she couldn’t play, but no one said anything about singing!
… okay so she wasn’t a singer. Never was, but that doesn’t mean she shouldn’t try. Going to the center, she shook off her nervousness. People were already crowding around to see what was going on. They could tell already there was a performance.
‘Well if I don’t sing well, I might get pity or comedy money,’ she thought to herself, trying to make herself more comfortable.
With a chilled breath in… she sang. Meanwhile, Zuke got on the couch, watching the movie as he let some food either chill, set, or cook. He had a mental timer in his head. As he watched, Ellie scampered up on the couch and onto his lap. He had put her in a sweater and had a tail stocking so she wouldn’t get cold. He tried mittens, but she kept walking backwards in fear, so he took them off.
He stroked Ellie’s back and began to drum his fingers on it to the tune of Christmas tunes. Ellie appreciated the drumming, it felt like. Although Zuke seemed cool headed at the moment, inside… he was freaking out.
“... you think the food will be okay?” he asked Ellie, not expecting an answer. “I mean… I know the food shouldn’t be a big concern, but I’ve never cooked for so many people. I know they’re bringing food as well, but what if the ham is dry or what if the mashed potatoes aren’t good? What about the gravy? What if-”
“Mraaa!” Ellie squeaked out. Zuke looked down at her and chuckled.
“You’re right, you’re right… I need to chill,” he nodded. He took a sip of his now lukewarm coffee, it being bitter, just the way he liked it. But no one said he couldn’t add some peppermint spice to it.
With coffee in hand and a reptile on his lap, it was impossible to not calm down. He continued to drum his fingertips along her scales, then looked at the clock.
“May’s been out for a while…” he noted. “Think she’s okay?”
Ellie gave a happy look to him, thumping her tail on the couch. He chuckled and booped her snout lightly. “I just want to make this perfect, you know? I’ve never had Christmas with anyone but Mayday… having this would be like the good old times… before college… where… everyone was happy.”
While Mayday looked to the future, Zuke longed for the past. When he had a smile everyday, still admired his brother, not having the huge fight, not fighting a revolution to bring equality to the system… but no one said he regretted it. As long as Mayday was here, how bad could it be for his future?
Mayday finished singing, knowing for sure she squeaked more than a chihuahua with a toy bone on a sugar high. Some people laughed, thinking it was an act and tossed some money. Others left with disgusted faces, some gave pity money. When they left, she counted it up and checked to see if there was any leftover in the snow. Drat… 25.23…
“Oh come on…!” she whined out. “... no it’s okay! I’m halfway there!”
“Oh my! Mayday!” she heard an unforgettable voice pipe up behind her. Sayu, looking as cheerful as ever with the costume of a gingerbread man, as sweet as her.
“Heeeey, Sayu…!” she waved. “What’s happening?”
“Well, I heard a cat crying for help, like it was injured and I wanted to see if it was okay! Have you seen it anywhere?”
Mayday turned a shade of red and looked away.
“U-Um well… you’re staring at her…”
“Huh? Oh. Oooh! Ooh…” Sayu put a finger through her chin as she went through four different emotions at once. “Well you’ll get better, I’m sure of it!”
“It doesn’t matter,” she grunted. “I’m trying to earn money for a great gift for Zuke, but I don’t-”
“For Zuke!?” she gasped. “Did you two finally-!?”
“Noooo! No no, not like that, as buddies!”
“Ehek! Okay, okay! Well, just in case…!”
Sayu offered some money of her own, it being sound seven dollars and… a mistletoe?
“... Sayuuuu…”
“Oh my! How did that get in there?” she giggled. “Well you can keep it! I better go! Bye bye!”
Mayday looked at the money, thankful anyway. … maybe she could sell the mistletoe. Well, time for plan D.
Turns out, you can’t sell mistletoe, so she just tied it to her antlers. Her legs were getting weak and her fingers cold and sore. Not to mention she was red after that embarrassment. So, what do people love on Christmas? Hot drinks! Sure, she’d have to spend SOME money she earned, but she could make a quick buck offering a styrofoam cup of hot chocolate!
She already had her station set up at Metro Division, people swarming for the Christmas merchandise. She found a suitable spot near a popular 1010 shop and got a box, setting up her stands with hot cocoa powder, a powered kettle, cups, and whipped cream. This set her back to 10.23, but it would be worth it! … she thinks.
“Hot cocoa!” she announced. “Enjoy the snowy day of Christmas Eve with a warm, inviting, delectable cup of hot chocolate!”
People were already interested. She charged a dollar a cup, two if they wanted whipped cream. It was all going well until she needed more water, a line forming. “Uuuh just a second folks! I need some water!”
She ran into the store, looking for the bathroom when she saw 1010 gathered at the front. They all looked amazing, dressed as Nut Crackers. So handsome… gentlemanly… No no, get it out of your head!
She rushed to the bathroom, filled the kettle, and then rushed back out, bumping into Rin.
“Ah! White! Rin! Hot! Um, water is hot! Uh, going to be hot! Um, hi!” she stuttered over her words like gravel. Rin chuckled lightly.
“What elegance such as yourself doing alone on a cold day like today?” he raised an eyebrow. Mayday could feel herself melt, forgetting the cold.
“A-aaah um just… you… no I mean, me. Uh, no, I am just… selling hot 1010, CHOCOLATE!! Hot chocolate! Uh, need to! Um, money and…”
Rin couldn’t help but giggle at her flusteredness. It was honestly adorable. His giggle drove Mayday’s pink face to a full on red.
“I’d love to try some, seeing it would be made by your amazing hands, but alas, I cannot have liquids…”
She nodded respectfully, or tried to without going into a puddle of swoon. “But perhaps I can help…”
He went to his brothers and then came back with what seemed to be a twenty dollar bill. May’s heart sky-rocketed. All of the money she lost, it was now paid back. She gleefully took the bill and hugged Rin, her up a foot off the ground.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank yooouuuuuu!!!”
Rin laughed and let her hug him for a bit more before hoisting her by the waist and putting her on the ground.
“Can’t wait to see you at the party…~” he lifted her chin before walking off. She sighed out in a shakily manner, but slapped herself silly and got right back to work!
The line was long and some people were leaving, so she had no time to lose. As she poured cups, everyone was making a hassle.
“Hey, I asked for whipped cream…!”
“Uh, that isn’t nearly enough powder…”
“Excuse me, is this gluten free?”
“Hey, too much powder!”
“I didn’t ask for whipped cream!”
In the struggle, she poured a cup too quickly, hot water making contact with her hand. She yelped and held it, feeling it already blistering up. With some breaths and a few tears in her eyes, she quickly finished up and ran to an alleyway, putting snow on her burn and then looking at it. It looked bad… really bad… Maybe Zuke would know what to do, but she had to focus!
Back at the money, she counted. 34.23! She was getting close!! So it was off to Dream Fever!!
Zuke finished checking the ham, his heart racing a little. 11:43… Where was Mayday? Why was she out for so long…? He would check on her, but that would be a risk of burning the place down. He grabbed his phone and shot a message.
‘hey, mayday this is zuke. get back to me when you can.’
He sent it, staring at the phone for five minutes until it buzzed. He snatched it up and looked.
“I’m good, buddy! Almost done and then I’ll be home! Hey, can you make those gingerbread men that look like instruments?”
He chuckled and texted back an agreed answer, thankful she was okay, at least… Still, he couldn’t help but worry about her. They’ve been buddies for a long time. Without her, it was like there was no fire to help his waters warm up. And her without him, who would douse her out? Still, if she was doing well, giving her some time was the least he could do. He turned his attention to the pie dough he was rolling and got right back to it. “... just please be home soon…” he sighed.
The Dream Fever district. A land of confusion and puzzlement to Mayday. She had to think of another plan… She can’t strum, her fingers were aching, freezing the wounds. She couldn’t sing, she couldn’t make cocoa… what else could she do…? She looked down with a thought and then perked up. Dancing!! She loved to dance, no matter how goofy! Her and Zuke danced and waltz around all of the time in the sewers before collapsing on the ground, laughing. He brought her so many laughs… so much joy. She needed this gift...
Walking her way through, she couldn’t tell the difference of the decorations since everything was so… artsy. Since she couldn’t make cocoa anymore, a bright idea of selling the kettle popped in her head. After going into an antique shop and warming up, she sold it and took the time to look at her hands. A blister the size of a ping pong ball rested on her left hand, her fingertips covered in dried blood. She shoved her hands in her pockets, feeling the money. She forgot the pain for a few seconds and got five dollars back for the kettle.
Now it was time to bust a move!! … although she had no idea what music was playing. It was so… off. Sure, it had some jingle bells and little sparks, but that’s all she could hear. Nonetheless, she did her best to dance! She stepped left… then right. ‘Good start, good start.’ She stepped back and took a jump forward, matching her moves to the beats as much as she could. She swayed her hips a bit to make it look like she was dancing and make people crowd around with confusion.
With a grin, she beamed at them all and did little dances, rolling her arms with each other, moonwalking, all she could think of in a moment’s panic. Some offered some coins, rarely bills, then left. Whatever, she just needed enough! As she attempted to skid across the ‘stage’, she yelped as her leg gave out. Something hurt. Her ankle, it must’ve popped. Watchers winced and offered hands, but she was in a lot of pain. She didn’t show it through sadness, but frustration.
“Stupid snow!!” she shouted at it, punching it. “Stupid ice!!” She punched a nearby ice puddle, it crackling. “Stupid, stupid, stupi-”
“Mayday!”
Eve and Tatiana both rushed over. They helped her to a bench and sat with her.
“What is going on?” Tatiana demanded to know.
“I’m… trying to get money,” she sheepishly admitted to Kul Fy-er Tatiana.
“Money? From that monkey circus act you did?”
“Hey, no need to rub it in!” she snapped at Eve. “I’ve been doing all sorts of things to try and get Zuke a perfect gift! I’m earning money, too! So that’s something.”
“You’ve earned 5.25 from that dance.”
“It’s something!”
“Mayday, you need to relax,” Tatiana offered. Mayday looked at the clock, seeing the time was now 12:37.
“No! No, time!” she stumbled to her feet. Her ankle was shooting with pain, but she trudged along. Eve looked at Tatiana, who sighed.
“I’ll keep an eye on her.”
Mayday sat down after a while, breathing heavily. She counted the money…
“Okay, 34.23 plus… 10.25… five and three make eight… two plus two is four… eighty four cents and… 44…! 44. 84! Yes, so close!!”
She took a break and tried to think of another plan… she just had to think of something. Her mind was running on fumes. It hurt… Her head hurts so much… “... for Zuke…” she told herself, struggling to stand again. “For Zuke… For Zuke… For Zuke… what would he do…?”
… she knew what he would do. Go back home to her and relax… but she can’t do that! She has to get more money! She was so close!! Something, something… anything…
She found herself in front of the planetarium an hour later, panting and wheezing. She was cold… in pain… but this was the last resort. She opened the doors, DJ Subatomic Supernova taking a glance.
“Mayday?” he tipped his head.
“Please…!” she got on her knees. “I-I need some money…! Just some…! Enough…!”
“... I didn’t think begging would be something you would do,” he admitted with a chuckle. But when he saw her wounds, he quickly got up from his seat and went to her side. “What on Earth…?”
“Just some…! Any…!”
“Mayday, this begging seems preposterous. You are injured, you need to go back home. The party is-”
“Don’t remind me!!” she snapped. “I know about the party! I cracked my fingers open, I have a boil on my hand, I twisted my ankle, humiliated  myself in front of an entire district! Two of them!! I know about the party, I’m trying to get a present for Zuke! I’m so close! I need… I need…”
She couldn’t think of the amount, she felt so tired. DJSS quickly grabbed his jacket and wrapped it around her.
“Take this,” he told her. “You simpletons are always so fragile.” He tried to crack a joke, but saw it wasn’t the time. “Apologies.”
“Wh-whatever… just… I need… I need… money…”
He could only look at her and then got up. He got a bill and offered it. Mayday took it, seeing it was ten dollars. This… this was it. It was enough! She beamed and hugged it, tearing up.
“Perhaps you want to rest before you-”
“Thank you!!!”
She sprang to her feet, clutching the jacket and wincing before running out with a limp. He held out a hand… but then put it down.
“... my jacket…”
Getting close. Getting close. That’s what she repeated to herself as she ran to the store. There was the poster. Electronic drumsticks! That would make the perfect beats, never break, had grips! She saw Zuke eyeing them, talking about them, and they were only $250.00, which she had! Her leg felt like it was about to give out. Faster, faster, faster!!
Before she could take another step, she slipped down onto the ice. Her head hit the ground, ice cracking under. Her vision blurred as the clock chimed 2:00. Coins rolled out to some sewer grates that weren’t fully frozen over yet and her bills fluttered out and into the wind. With a squeak, she passed out on the ground.
“Mayday?” Zuke looked in the bedroom. Almost everyone was here except for her… he had texted, but no response. When the other artists told him they’ve seen her, it brought him some relief.
DJ Sub quickly clattered down the ladder. She opened the door, panting.
“DJ?” Zuke looked up at him.
“Fashionably late, as al-”
“May’s in trouble!” he sputtered out, interrupting Eve’s comment. They all went silent, Zuke going pale.
“... trouble…?”
2:50. Mayday had curled up in an alleyway, head throbbing and sniffling. She messed up… she messed it all up… how could she? How could she not get this very special gift for her buddy?
People stopped and asked if she was okay, but she ignored them. The streets were already plucked clean of the dollar bills by lucky passerbyers. She didn’t care. She messed up Christmas. She let her friend down… and she was cold…
She curled up in the jacket, wanting to search the pockets, but she wouldn’t stoop that low.
“... I just want to hear Zuke…” she wobbled out a sob. “... just… please…”
He must hate her, she thought. What kind of friend was she? She just let down her bestest buddy…
“Mayday!!”
“And that’s how it would start…” she shrugged. “Shouting my name in anger…”
“Mayday! Hey!”
“I would get the lecture… the hate…”
“Mayday!! Over here!!!”
“And he wouldn’t want to see me…”
“Mayday!!!!!”
The louder shout made her look weakly, seeing Zuke, looking worried as hell.
“Zuke…” she blinked, more tears falling out. The artists were behind him, looking worried as well. She looked up at him… then sobbed. “I’m sorreeheeheee!!!” she wailed, hugging his legs. They were so warm. “I didn’t mean toohoohoo! I didn’t!! I wanted to-wanted to make this-this the best Christmas for you!” She stopped only by her hiccups and coughs, hugging his legs tighter. The artists could only watch in sadness and awkwardness. “You wanted those drumsticks! I know you did! B-but I did everything I could! I sang, I sold cocoa, played songs, danced, begged! I had it all! And then I fell from my ankle and it’s gone! It’s all gohohone!!”
“... May…” he bent down to her, wiping away her cheeks. Mayday sniffled in, covered in tears and snot. “I don’t need those drumsticks…”
“B-but you wanted them!” she wailed. He stopped her by putting his hands on her cheeks, warming them up.
“Wanted. But Christmas… this Christmas, what I NEEDED was you… my best buddy…”
“... Zuke…” she wiped her eyes. He offered a gentle smile and scooped her up. She put her head against his chest, whimpering. She was so cold. She just wanted to go home now…
An hour later, Mayday opened her eyes, seeing Ellie on her belly and Eve next to her. She looked up at her, Eve smiling. She looked down, her ankle wrapped, fingers bandaged and her head having a warm damp cloth on it.
“... did I pass out…?” she weakly asked. Eve gave a nod and offered some hot chocolate. She took it and drank it down. Zuke rushed over, breathing a sigh of relief as he offered her a plate of dinner.
“... Mayday… you doing okay?”
“... I still feel horrible… emotionally and physically…”
“... May…” he sighed a bit. “You had me worried sick…” With shame, she averted his gaze until he propped something on her lap. She looked down, it being a present. “Open it.”
She was about to argue that presents were after dinner, but seeing his face, she couldn’t refuse. A little painfully, she took off the wrapping until Zuke helped, there being a box. She opened it, looking inside. Guitar picks… no… not just guitar picks.
Specially made picks with pictures on her, Zuke, Ellie, Tatiana, everyone on them all specially made. There were so many, even memories she almost forgot. Their first Christmas party, when they first met, Zuke doing Mayday’s hair, Mayday messing up Zuke’s hair, when they got Ellie… she couldn’t help but tear up for the second time that day.
“... these are… these…”
“Merry Christmas…” he smiled. She looked up at him, lip quivering. Tatiana secretly had a camera ready, set up to take a shot. Mayday put the box aside, quickly jumping on Zuke, hugging him, sobbing.
“I love you, Zuke!” she wailed in his shoulder. “Th-thank you! Th-thank yoohoohoouu!!”
He smiled and hugged her back, then lifted her up a bit. He saw the mistletoe in her antlers, giving a chuckle.
“Was that on purpose?” he wondered. Mayday was confused at what he meant, but when she felt her antlers, she blushed.
“I-... not really,” she chuckled. Zuke giggled and sat up, planting a platonic kiss on her forehead, the camera clicking right then.
“T-Tatiana!” Zuke scoffed.
“I got you kiddos and this picture is being saved,” she laughed. Mayday couldn’t help but giggle and hug Zuke again.
“... wish I couldn’t gotten you those drumsticks though… they were the perfect gift..”
“Mayday… you are the perfect gift for me…”
With that, they officially got the party started, but Zuke stayed with Mayday most of the party. Not only tending to her wounds, but making sure she was happy. And with Zuke and these artists who claimed her as family… how could she not be?

A/N: Look, never posted fic. And I haven't checked anything 😳 Due to the heavily noted anon prompt fluttering around my dash that read: "My friend went to some weirdo eyes wide shut kind of party in the Hollywood Hills last year and overheard 'yeah you can't use that room, Harry Styles is high as fuck and getting railed by some dudes in there" plus that damn 🍉 video... well, I am at peak feral in quarantine and 3k of smut just popped right out. Title actually the Cannons song cos it's such a sex song innit? I'm doing this at 4.20am after starting this at 11pm my time so..good fucking night. ✌🏻🍉
—--------------------------------------------
You were petrified.
You'd moved halfway across the world with your best friend after a shitty person broke your heart and your spirits.
A circumstantial opportunity had arisen to become her PA,after her chance audition for a series had turned into cult viewing overnight.
She was everything you weren't. Confident, effortlessly cool and entirely comfortable in her own skin and sexuality. That's why, as she sauntered away with a tuxedo clad tall stranger, you stood frozen on the spot trying to remember it was okay to watch.
It had been her idea for you to submit an application after you'd said you needed to take risks and feel good in your skin again. Your best friend had told you you were wasting your youth, after years wasted on the ex you were in this country trying to forget. That you should embrace you were young, hot, single and getting older by the second. So you'd rolled your eyes and submitted your video application. You wouldn't get a reply for such an elite thing.
And yet, here you now were, in a millionaires mansion watching two men fuck a bunny masked stranger infront of you. She looks up at you through the velveteen eye holes and offers you to join with her finger come hithering you over. Your eyes widen.
You immediately remember your stiff upper lip and bound up the right hand staircase as fast as your heels will allow. Hoping to find a cool place to catch your breath.
Maybe you weren't as free spirited as you were in your head. Open to trying things theoretically, but now, as you see a flurry of naked bodies out of your peripheral vision and hear sounds you'd only heard in more private settings, you felt quite overwhelmed.
You were no virgin but not to say you could count on two hands your conquests past kissing either.
You came to the one shut door at the end of the long hallway, assuming it was a bathroom. Heels clicking against the pristine marble floor below as you approached. You put your hand to the cold metal handle, if you weren't prepared to see strangers fuck, you certainly weren't prepared for this.
There were five people in the room.
Three men on the bed and two women. The first woman sat open thighed across a low backed plush chair. Another on all fours on the floor licking into the others cunt as one guy stuck his fingers into her own folds from behind. He was then, with the rest of his olive skinned built body, sharply thrusting into the man on the bed at such a pace you could hear his balls slap against the sweat glistening flesh. He held his hip nearest to you so tightly, you could see the red marks appear from under his large hands.
The slender man receiving all this action was being silenced in his pleasure by the guy kneeling up in front of him. He hummed loudly through his nose as his mouth was busy bobbing up and down the guys length. Eyes closed in the orange low light as he was thrust into still, with such force he deep throated the guy he was swallowing down. He suddenly gagged and the man moaned then pulled his head away and nodded to signal if he was okay to continue, he agreed then he got right back down to business.
It was probably one of the more explicit scenes she'd seen. Making her feel hot and cold all at once. Not because of what was happening, no, it was who it was.
His face was disguised by a navy blue, high winged, theatrical mask. As were those involved, or some variation at least.
You heard a voice beside you at the door frame. A deep voice talking to a white bunny beside him
"Nah, that rooms got enough going on, Harry Styles is high as fuck getting railed by two dudes"
And that's all the confirmation you damn well needed. You'd been in L.A three weeks. Three weeks was all it had taken for you to be stood watching Harry fucking Styles getting Eiffel towered by two guys in the Hollywood Hills whilst you watched, mouth agape in barely any underwear.
No one had seemed to notice your intrusion, if the screaming of the red head  in the chair reaching her climax was anything to go by. She rode out her high on the blondes face before getting up, lighting a joint and pulling the blonde up by roots. No real concern that she hadn't climaxed from Mr. Powerthrusts fingers yet. Dragging the young white cat back towards the door with a glistening mouth and chin, you were still entranced at the boy on the bed pooling your sheer briefs and the sight before you.
The redhead looked at you, to where your focus was on, then back to you. Giving one condescending chuckle. Still with the small blonde girls hair in a vice hold she spoke roughly into your ear as she passed.
"He's soft and ready to go sugar, strike whilst he's still loose" with that, she kisses your cheek and her Loboutins clicked away from you.
You stood there. Tits up to your chin from the force of the practically sheer black bra you were spilling out of, the suspender belt grasped your hourglass shape perfectly too. There was delicate, black designer underwear framed by the belt and thigh high stockings. You'd felt beyond confident at the beginning of the party. New eyes dragging over you in a way they didn't when you were in your regular get up of jeans and a t shirt. But behind the Japanese type kitsune half mask, you had felt invincible.
Right up until the point people actually started fucking.
But this, this was different.
You'd never been into guy on guy action, not even in porn. It didn't ignite any fire inside the pit of your stomach like it should. But seeing someone you'd casually ogled through the media like the other few million in the world had, well the chances of being in this position again were rare. Suddenly, the thrill of being able to possibly turn dream into reality spurred you on. He'd never know it was ever you if you met again right?
The three of them were still going at it. Powerthruster behind, contorting his face as he placed smack after smack across the pale flesh of Harry's ass. Grabbing a fistful in each hand as he sped up even more to reach his climax, he cried out when he did pulling Harry's hips flush against his own, it was only now, amongst all the activity that you notice Harry's cock for the first time.
The rumours online highly underestimate it.
He's long and thick and his drippy head is causing a string of pre cum to trail from its opening onto the white silk sheets below.
You clamp a hand between your thighs, the first time you feel your inhibitions falter that night. You had to relieve some of the friction your body needs. Watching the man remove himself, and toss the condom in the bin by the door frame you were still fixed to.
Harry scrambles to the other muscular guy infront of him, kneeling back on his calves, hissing a little as his legs under each cheek spread his already tender hole a bit. He doesn't miss a beat though, the already close to orgasming guy looking down at green doe eyes as he pushes Harry's mouth from him. Harry knows where this is leading and opens his mouth for him spill his seed onto his waiting tongue.
By this point you'd moved quietly from the door and across the wall so you were in prime position to watch Harry swallow all this man's cum whilst you just stood watching.
Feeling like a pervert, feeling turned on, feeling fucking everything to be frank. You'd question it later. Right now you needed Harry to touch you.
One leg kicked up behind you so you could slightly part your thighs and rub your middle finger down your folds beneath your knickers. You began to put on a show. The other hand is inside your bra cupping and squeezing your nipple between your index and forefinger sharply. Panting quietly as you see Harry's eye clock you in his peripheral vision. You're terrified of his reaction for a second before remembering the setting of the evening, but he smirks the best he can do with an open mouth and looks you up and down slowly. His dick twitches in his lap and that's all it takes for you to start rubbing two soaked fingers fast against your clit, your ego inflated that you could be the cause of his heightened arousal. You're going at such a pace on yourself that you almost don't catch the ropes of cum descending into Harry's mouth as he watches you trying to get the release his actions have caused. The guy stills, spent. Harry is still watching you pant faster as you take the hand on your breast away to steady a palm against the wall. He holds the guys cum in his mouth before tearing his eyes away from yours to kneel up and place an opened mouthed kiss onto the guys lips, transferring him back into his own mouth, forcefully. Switching the dominant role back in his favour to show you who was really in control in the room despite how it may have looked. He breaks the kiss, both men chuckle at each other before Harry taps the other guys cheek with his palm playfully. Like his just scored a goal at the Sunday football league, but definitely not like they'd both shared a mouthful of semen.
Your pace has slowed down slightly but you see him whisper something into the man's ear before he hops off the bed, grabbing only his black briefs and closing the door behind him. But not before saying "have fun" to you with a knowing wink.
It suddenly feels very intimate. When there were a few more people in the room it felt easier to blend into the festivities, but now you were essentially alone with a stranger who was watching the slow movements of your hands in your underwear. You decided to carry on, to keep up the pretence that this is the sort of thing you do all the time of course.
It wasn't.
So when he stands straight up off the bed, taking the few steps towards you, slightly pouting into the air as he keeps his eyes locked on yours and gently grabs your wrist that leads to the hand on your pussy  bringing the two digits that had been furiously rubbing your clit, up to his mouth. He never breaks his gaze as he sucks them fully, with the same technique you'd just seen on that man's dick minutes previous. Closing his eyes and humming approvingly at your sweet taste.
Your insides are screaming but your present body moans and he drops the hand to grab your waist and pull you tight to his torso. He kisses you hungrily and you taste mostly of yourself and try not to think about the other taste from the strangers cum on your tongue.
He kisses you like he's getting to know you through this alone, grazing his palms from your waist to your shoulder blades then back down slowly to your ass, gripping it tightly to his body as he hooks a thigh over his hip. His cock is sandwiched between you, droplets of pre cum on both your bellies. The crotch of your underwear is rubbing his length slightly as you rock your hips down onto his.
His tongue is lapping and swirling languidly against yours, it's unexpected given the setting but, it's fucking glorious. You grab fistfuls of curls at the back of his head between your fingers and once you get to the nape and give a sharp tug on the baby hair there, his breathing hitches.
"You're quite good at this" he says casually, taking a breath. You pant in response and chuckle slightly. Mostly at the contrast of moods he appears to have.
"Not s'bad yourself" you smile.
There's a heartbeat whilst he takes in your accent similar to his own he pulls back, brows furrowed causing his forehead to wrinkle down slightly at the top of the blue mask. This isn't the time to get to know one another though, you get that, and despite your reservations on this place you suddenly don't give a shit. You push your mouth into his neck suckling lightly and finding a sweet spot at his pulse that has him shaking. His nimble pianist fingers undo the flimsy material of your bra as he goes back to the weirdly passionate make out session, you let it fall off your shoulders, shaking it down your arms to the ground.
He walks you both back to the bed and sits down pulling you to straddle his thighs. You both moan at the reconnection and don't miss a beat rolling your hips over his slowly. Giving him a taste of what's to come. He grunts through his teeth out of frustration, pulling away from you both once more to reach blindly for the fishbowl of condoms, provided by the host, on the nightstand.
"Fucked anyone else tonight?" he asks matter of factly.
Your eyes looked shocked, even though they probably shouldn't be. You furiously shake your head.
"Hm" he chuckles as you lay your hands in your lap submissively, he clearly notices and you see an eyebrow raise over the mask. "that mean you're a good girl?"
Cottoning on to the game he's starting, and that you're more than willing to take part in, you take one side of your bottom lip between your teeth and nod quickly.
This is an absolute fantasy. But you're aware you could get interrupted at any moment so you'll take what you can get before being pushed out, and no doubt off, this absolute wet dream of a man.
He tears the packet open with his fingers, sitting back, a little hunched over to roll the rubber down his length. He hisses at the brief contact after being edged so much the last hour or so. You start to wonder how he's keeping up his stamina before he sits back up, taking your chin between his thumb and forefinger and interrupts.
"Gonna be a good girl f'me then love?" he leans forward places wet opened mouth kisses at each of your breasts in between his words, looking you straight in the eye. "Gonna slip those pants to the side and get on me then?"
No sooner had he spoke, you were grabbing his cock in your palm with one hand, and pulling the crotch of your soaked fabric to one side with the other. You hadn't done this in a fair few months and definitely never taken a cock as big as his, but your arousal was so high that you were desperate for the sweet pain of being stretched around him. You pumped him barely as to not roll up the condom, just grazing him and feeling him twitch in your fist as he watched you briefly stick two fingers into your cunt. The wetness being heard as you opened your mouth and gasped at the sensation. You didn't want to waste anymore time checking you were prepared so you scooted forwards on his lap. Brushing his swollen head against your clit, before tapping it a few time as you sunk down onto his length. It burned so good as you got to about halfway before lifting yourself up and sinking down again further. It took three times of doing that to be completely seated and drowning his cock in your juices as your pelvises locked together. You both took a second to pant out curses against each others necks.
"Jesusfuck. You're so fuckin' tight. Can you move? Fuck! Please move" he strained into your throat.
You sat back a bit so you were facing one another and with fingers pulling at those nape hairs you reconnected your mouths before rolling your hips experimentally against his.
"Oh fuuuuck" you shot out, the feeling of him so deep inside you and him pressing against your clit was other worldly. The friction of the underwear you still had on, gathered between your folds and caused the sweetest friction. He grunted once as your jaw lay slack at the contact, before getting impatient and guiding your hips to slam into him harder as he thrust up at the same time.
Your head was spinning.
His strong hands pulled you close to him he smeared your lips together as he flipped you so he was on top, manoeuvring you up the bed and slightly diagonal so his feet didn't dangle off the edge.
It became a power battle then. You knew he was on the edge and holding back. He pulled a leg to hitch around his waist and thrust into you at speed. Enough to leave you sore tomorrow. You smirked into his mouth, pulling both up further to lock behind his neck, knowing the angle would make it so much tighter and so much easier to reach that sweet spot inside you. With your head thrown back at the new angle he began leaving marks around your neck and breasts, trying so hard not to cum before you.
Then you had a brilliant, foolproof idea of how to win this game. As he was preoccupied leaving a red mark against your clavicle, you sucked your middle finger into your mouth for your planned attack. Before you could do anymore though, he moved two of his digits against your soaked clit at speed, tapping every now and then and making you writhe and grip the sheets with overstimulation. You held off best you can but he was hitting that spot that few had taken much longer to find before. You knew what was coming but it was too late to warn him.
Your orgasm took over your body from the middle down to your toes and up until your eyes practically rolled back in your head. You heard the lewd, wet sounds his thrusts were still making and wanting to even things up you made a quick recovery enough to part your mouth and make your middle finger drip with saliva as you gripped his ass to guide him into you. You could tell by his speed he was almost there so you went between his cheeks with your slick finger and suddenly buried it inside him to the hilt. He was still stretched from the previous guy so you sink to the knuckle easily. It only took two movements to feel him spill inside you. Long drawn out moans left his lips like a dirty drawl from his throat. You took out your finger and went slack onto the mattress.
He was spent but he wasn't done.
As he pulled out of you carefully, gushes of your cum cascaded down onto the expensive sheets. If he didn't know you were a squirter, he did now. He stared watching it fall from your weepy hole blind removing the condom and tossing it into the bin behind.
"Holy fuck. I.. I've never managed that before. You're a fucking dream….so fucking sexy. Fuck" he looked at you like a feast. Your saturated underwear stretched out beyond repair now. Laying against your thigh and the material dripping. He pulled the stockings from their clips quickly, not taking them off but so he could peel the knickers from your sticky thighs. You noticed he threw them down near what you assumed to be his tux.
And that was it, he pushed your thighs up and back to your body so your knees were flush against your chest. You felt some of your cum still seeping out if you and he growled watching the last few drops drip down your bum and onto the bed.
He dove into you like he'd not eaten in weeks. Lapping every bit of fluid from your pussy, clit, thighs and ass. He licked around your puckered hole as he sink two fingers into your cunt at pace.
"You got one more in there for me hmm?"
He said huskily, keeping one arm across your thighs as he sat up on his haunches to look down on you falling apart. You nodded frantically, feeling the bubbles in your stomach growing again. You felt the pressure build between your thighs. Completely living in this moment with this beautiful man you got to see so desperate for you to cum. He dived back in to trace figure eights across your clit with the tip of his tongue before laying it flat and going up over it again and again. He alternating the two before you were ready to burst. He felt it on his fingers so he stilled them inside you still lapping at clit but using his whole arm to move at speed up and down to keep pushing at that one ridge inside you. When he felt the first wave of your climax hit he quickly put his face infront of your cunt and let the force of your squirt hit him the face. He caught a good amount in his mouth before repeating the signature move of crawling back up to your face and getting your soft, limp body to open up so he could spit your cum back into your mouth. It was tart but sweet probably due to the pina coladas you'd sipped downstairs to get you loosened up a bit.
"Good girl. Swallow, show me y've swallowed it all up" he panted kneeling at your side.
You gulp and meekly open your mouth to prove it was all gone and he smirks and gives you a slow, lazy Sunday kind of kiss that sends its shivers down your spine. You stare at each other as he sweeps your sweet drenched hair from the front of your face. You're not sure what suddenly changed in the room but you've created your own bubble. Your own bubble where a millionaire pop star a Jenner has shagged, whispers praises against the shell of your ear in some sort of awe and kisses your neck and face tenderly. What even is life?
It's stupid but you don't want to go. Well, it's not stupid as this boy is a hurricane in the sheets and why would you not want more!
But you know the deal. This isn't a date. This is an elite fuck party. A. Fuck. Party.
The realisation dawns on you like a thorn to the side. You can't just lay here in a post orgasmic comatose state. There's people waiting, people he's waiting on too. He sees your eyes widen and watches in confusion as you take a white robe from the hook behind the door, still in your heels you pick up your bra. You smile briefly before closing the door behind you and practically sprinting to your car.
Not before seeing the guy Harry had been deepthoating earlier, now standing fully clothed with a headset at the door you'd just come out of with a suit and headset on. Like nothing had ever happened. Of course you weren't interrupted. Of course he had security. You rush back down the staircase before you have a panic attack in plain sight. Your thoughts scrambled beyond what you thought was capable. Did that really just happen? With him? Is this who you are now?
It's only when you get to the end of the street after texting a quick "sorry wasn't my scene, call me when you need picking up" to your mate before leaving that you're suddenly aware you're missing your underwear...
