—➤ Before arriving at the islands, Lynette had been informed of another Sechs operative that had been stationed there-- a grunt tasked with the mission of retrieving a foolish defector from the Empire. She had been aware of that mission, on some level, but didn’t deem it important enough to pay any real mind. A mission was a mission, though, and all traitors to the Empire deserved their due punishment, so she still made it a point to check in with the grunt from time to time, to hear his process on the mission.

His discomfort while speaking to her never escaped her notice, and while it (especially considering the length it was taking him to complete what should have been a simple mission) was highly suspect, she never commented on it. 

“So, grunt.” She starts, seating herself in a stool at Arcadia’s bar. “What progress have you made on the search for the traitor?”

Kross had seen his neighbor down the hall in the inn a few times in passing but had never bothered to introduce himself. Feeling guilty for letting his own troubles stop him from being friendly, the brunette decided to remedy the situation immediately.

That’s how he wound up here standing outside his neighbor's door. Kross sighed, put on his best fake smile, and rapped lightly on the door to the inn room.

“Hello?” He called out, “My name is Kross, I live down the hall and figured I should introduce myself.”

Calvin had seen a lot of strange things when he traveled the world. 

Exiting his hotel room to see someone just...lying on the ground wasn’t the weirdest thing he had seen, but it was still very concerning. He didn’t look like he had passed out. Maybe he tripped? Maybe something else?

“Uh...” Calvin spoke, slowly letting his hotel door close behind him, “You okay?”

Can I Help You? || Raguna & Brodik

[✿] —- Sometimes, Raguna would get this sinking feeling that he was being watched.

It wasn’t a feeling that ever lasted for very long, or crept up on him too much-- he would just feel an occasional tingling at the back of his neck, like someone was boring holes into it with their eyes. Raguna never saw anyone like that when he searched around though, so maybe it was just some ridiculous sense of paranoia he had.

But then a part of him figured if that really was the case, it wouldn’t be happening so much. The feeling had only been strengthening over the last few weeks, and it was starting to put Raguna on edge. He wasn’t normally the overly cautious or paranoid type, so the fact that he was feeling that way must have meant something was wrong.

What that ‘something’ was, he had no idea, and dearly hoped he wouldn’t find out in a way that would surprise or hurt him and his friends.

The farmer releases a frustrated sigh as he continues to water his crops, glancing up by chance and catching an unfamiliar figure standing near the fence that bordered Kardia Farm. The guy was buff, tan and had one of the most strangest hair colors (was he... older than he looked? or did his hair gray prematurely?) he had ever seen during his time in Arcadia. With a raised brow, Raguna regards the man quizzically as he sets down his watering can and slowly approaches the fence.

“Uh... hey there.” He greets the man, voice a bit cautious. “Is there anything I can help you with?”

Eyes on You || Georgia & Brodik

[🐎] — Now Georgia wasn’t one to just... jump to conclusions. She liked to think she was a pretty observant gal, who only called things how she saw them. Things she knew were fact.

She wasn’t the type to immediately cry ‘stalker’ or ‘harasser’, but this guy... this guy was seriously ringing some alarm bells in her head. How couldn’t he, when he was constantly lingering around that one farm across the way from Sunset Ranch-- Kardia, she thinks it’s called? Kinda hard to forget a unique name like that, really.

But back to the guy. He had been an increasingly frequent presence in the last few days (or maybe he’s always been around and she hadn’t really noticed until she started working at the ranch), and it was seriously starting to bug her. He wasn’t an employee, and didn’t really seem to talk much to the guy who owned it, so why was he sticking around there so much?

She had to know. Or stop him, if he was planning something unsavory.

That was why Georgia found herself nearing the fence that surrounded Sunset Ranch one lazy afternoon, resting her arms on it as she calls out to the man walking down the nearby path, in the direction of -- surprise, surprise -- Kardia Farm.

“Hey, nice day we’re havin’, isn’t it?” She starts conversationally, the pleasant smile on her lips contrasting the glint of thinly veiled curiosity in her gaze, “You really seem to like that farm, huh? I see you around a lot.”
