Hello, my dear friend. Will you please give Joshi some coffee ☕️ or 🍵 from me? I would love to hear about his comfort spot. ❤️
Hello Winterfriend! Thanks for the ask. ☕ coffee or tea: describe your OC’s favorite place to relax.
I want to say that Joshi takes his kaveh/coffee black with a squeeze of lemon in it. Your boy cannot handle any form of dairy.
Having said that he does have an ideal place of relaxation which he tells Sydari in chapter 17 of Serious Mistakes (not yet released).
Sydari edged a little closer towards him and reached for his hand again, “Sounds like you’ve travelled a lot?”
He nodded, “Yeah, I guess you could say that. I tend to wander.”
She squeezed his hand again, “I’m gathering you’ve got a favourite place, probably not in Skyrim I’m assuming?”
Teldryn smiled and squeezed her hand in reply, “I mean Sunhold’s nice if you can ignore the Thalmor stink, I got a soft spot for Sentinel but now you got the anti-mer sentiment. I try to be in warm places on the coast if I can help it…I um…I like the ocean. Just don’t like boats.”
“Why’d you come all the way up here then, seems like the opposite of everything you just said?” she asked, crossing her legs underneath her.
“That’s exactly why I chose this place,” Teldryn replied happily, “last place you’d expect to find me is back near fucken Morrowind. And in the ass end of it no doubt. Raven Rock’s usually where I hide long-term. Got ties here with Geldis an it’s quiet enough.”
“I guess it makes sense,” she nodded, feeling Sero squeeze her hand again, “It’s just so isolated up here.”
“Mhmm,” he hummed in reply before twisted to face her, hoisting his legs up onto the bed just as she had, “Like don’t get me wrong, I’d rather be lazing about on a beach in Hammerfell but it’s kinda the most obvious place I’d be. An besides, I already did that as I’m sure Geldis has probably mentioned. Was a stupid fucking idea but I’m a bit scattered up here you know.”
In short, if Josh had the whole of Tamriel to choose where he wanted to spend his time, he'd pick a beach near either Sentinel or Sunhold. He likes hot weather, the feel of the sun on his face and the salty spray of the ocean on his skin.
He's your archetypical beach bro. Find him on a beach in Hammerfell with a good cocktail and a deck chair. Don't remind him that he's been stuck skirting about the tundra just so he can get a second of peace. He still likes camping on the shores of Solstheim, its blackened sands and inky tides blend perfectly with the Aurora above. He likes the colours and paints it from time to time.

Hi! As you can probably guess, I completely love Chaos, and I have a few more questions. Thanks for the playlist by the way, it’s been all I’ve listened to since you linked it. Sorry for all the questions, I’m just curious.
1) In the Spotify playlist, the first song is “Sea, swallow me”. Is that song referenced somewhere in the fic, or does it just give off a general Chaos vibe? I’ve been trying to remember if it was mentioned somewhere but cant recall. As an additional Note, it is my new favourite song, so thanks!
2) You mentioned that all the OCs appearances are physically based on real people. Who are Dr Zypher, Emiliana and Holly-Jane based on? Is Emiliana based off of Eva Green, because thats how I imagine her. You’ve done an excellent job with the OCs, they’re just so perfect.
3) When you describe clothing, do you make them up in your mind or doe they actually exist? I get that some, like the custom ordered dresses in the latest chapter, must be made up, but are some of them real? Do you have some Pinterest board with all of their clothes just to keep track? 😂
4) How do you find time to write? I write 1000 words for my fic every day, and it takes me about an hour. 50K chapters in 2 weeks is a miracle. Do you sleep?
I’ve probably forgotten a question or two, so I hope you don’t mind if I ask more in the future😅
Thank you for all you do, I’ve never been so invested in a fic before. Just remember to relax and take breaks when you need it, don’t force yourself to write on 2 hours sleep!
I am happy to answer questions about Chaos for the Fly, the writing process, and other fic/writing related things. Thank you for your interest! 1. I think I referenced near the beginning somewhere that Wednesday had discovered some music on her own outside of classical when she accepted an algorithm to suggest songs for her. It had been 80s imports of some kind - and that was probably the one that I had in mind, even if it wasn’t mentioned specifically. There’s probably a few songs that weren’t actually mentioned by name but were alluded to in the fic - meaning I didn’t say the title in dialogue, but had something playing in the background for myself, and there you have it. 2. You have opened a VERY DANGEROUS can of worms with this question, lmfao.
You are a dead ringer for Emiliana! That’s Eva Green, 100%, the ONLY person who could play the role. It would be like a touch of Penny Dreadful for the out-of-her-damn-mind demon possession vibes, but mostly, just as herself (she’s cray and I love how socially awkward and accidentally funny she is in interviews) not so much Vanessa Ives. Eva Green has worked with Tim Burton a ton of times and wouldn’t even need a single line of direction in this role. Emi is SO easy to write because she is pure chaos both in physicality, mentally, her linguistics, her magic, and personality. I honestly think she’s one of the characters I’m saddest isn’t real because she’d fit in to drive Wednesday absolutely MAD as her big bird. I have a feeling we’re not going to explore Raven lore in S2 and the two of them trying to figure out their powers together, after Emiliana spent half her life suffering alone, has been some of my favorite parts of the fic to write. I always write scenes with Emiliana the fastest. Her love of Beanie Babies and bad influence is entirely, too much fun. Her voice is so easy and she will never truly understand American idioms.
Dr. Zypher is AMY ADAMS, because GAY-ME, for Amy Adams. She’d absolutely crush the role, the fact that she doesn’t have a closet full of Oscars is just despicable (6 time nominee bro). SHE HAS THE VOICE OF AN ANGEL and I don’t think anyone ever lets her sing enough in movies. Put this woman in some broadway revival of an old musical and you’ll catch me personally saving the economy from collapse by taking the train up to see her every weekend. She's so adaptable and different in any role, and I just feel like she’d volley SO WELL with JO’s Wednesday. She's a professional who understands character layers that sweet and angsty Josie requires.
Dr. Holly is Emily Blunt plucked right from the Jungle Cruise movie in terms of how she’s styled but a far cry from her character there with her boldness - even if they would likely have competing career ambitions. ALSO HAVE YOU SEEN EMILY BLUNT IN ALL THE SUITS IN THE NEW NETFLIX PAIN HUSTLER MOVIE? I’m deceased. This is a ghost writing. Holly is really in the story 1) because I needed a plot line for Larissa, post-transformation, that didn’t involve Wednesday and was TRAGIC but beautiful and could GO SOMEWHERE, and2) we REALLY do need something to stabilize the molecular structure of shifting-type Outcasts, and 3) it helped give some context as to how desperate Larissa was to hire Normie "Thornhill" and why she took that chance against her usually better judgement- so there she was! Emily Blunt is a CLASS. ACT. In everything she does and I imagine her in a scene with Gwendoline COULD NEVER exist because it would be too powerful, solve all the world’s problems, and capitalism would break, societies would collapse. It could never happen. It wouldn’t be safe. Here’s her glow up, from fresh-out-of-the jungle, to letting Larissa buy her some new clothes and maybe letting her hair down every now and then, to nerdy botanist bombshell, at the New Nevermore Network, helping her girl rebuild things to be a more fair society for Outcasts. GORGE.
ARE THESE ALL JUST WOMEN IN THEIR MID 40s THAT I HAVE A BIG LESBIAN CRUSH ON? YEAH, YEAH THEY ARE. There’s obviously more for staff at Nevermore and the Network but I have a solid 5k to get to writing still this evening. The rest of my OCs are pretty minor (well villain aside), and I don’t really care enough about any man to spend the time looking for pictures of /boys/. These are the 3 OCs that are featured the most, anyway. Some day I’ll find enough energy to do the rest. I have extreme face-blindness when I read, and the ONLY WAY I can thusly write an OC is if my beta makes a powerpoint presentation for me with an actor/ress in mind for me to visualize in the role. When I tell ya, she hit the nail on the head with those three above? Unbelievable. Another favorite not-OC, but someone I HARDCORE RECASTED FOR THIS would be Granny Frump. We went from Margaret Hamilton (OG Wicked Witch of the West from Wizard of Oz) in the 1960s Addams Family, which is EXCELLENT CASTING, but to fit the more modern-era Wednesday 2022 adaptation, and to give a flair of the drama as to perhaps where Morticia “gets it from,” I decided to cast someone only two years older than Catherine Zeta-Jones to give that “Frump Homespun Magic” storyline some weight of ‘the potions and beauty charms work’ and went with a non-actress, for the aesthetics (though she could KILL IT her appearances are small), and that is the one and only, What Not To Wear’s Stacy London.
Like IMAGINE that matching vibe with CZJ’s Morticia? Stacy has similar build/some features in common, and with the all black hair BUT WITH HER SIGNATURE gray stripe? Iconic. (And that was also Grandpa “Clint’s” backstory last chapter, as in Stacy and Clinton’s dramatic saga. HEY - IF YOU DONT HAVE INSIDE JOKES WITH YOUR BETA in your writing, what’s the point??) Stacy’s voice and CZJ’s Morticia voice together would be SO GRATING and Wednesday would just be so in-her-element between them, I LIVE. 3. I usually just visualize what I’d want the characters to wear! I don’t often have picture inspiration - though sometimes I am writing and it says in bold highlight DESCRIBE THE DRESS - TRACEY FIND ME A DRESS, and she sends me some pictures to go through so I can just describe a garment without having to make it up. I don’t have a Pinterest I’d be willing to share. It’s just a binder full of women in a way that would probably unsettle most.
4. I usually write about 2-2.5k an hour if that is all I’m focused on. I probably average 4-9k on a work day without a second job or social obligation after work, and the most I’ve ever written on a single day that I had no work, other ‘sponserbilities, or social plans was 21k. On an average weekend with like one thing to do during the day and some chores and relaxation time not writing, I probably go around 14-16k per day. At the same time I started this fic, I set a new year resolution to myself to only work my contracted hours, so with the exception of a few crazy times in the school year - like conferences - I work from 8:00-15:30 M-F, and I live a three minute walk from my school, so I don’t even lose time commuting. I also stopped working on weekday evenings on the side in August, and starting in 2024 will not be doing any extra side work at all. I don’t sleep great but I do try! :) Thanks for the questions! I've been meaning to give some faces to those 3 OCs. I strongly encourage you to print out pictures of them and post them on your fridge, you will be 100% happier if you do.

*.·:·.✧ 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲 ✧.·:·.*
"Tch..." a certain girl slumped her shoulders, an annoyed look pasted on her face.
Her companion peered at her, shaking his head. "You've been sulking since earlier. No matter how much you whine, you'll never change his mind."
"I know," the younger huffed. "I didn't expect that a lot would come but he straight up said that he couldn't even be bothered to throw a party for himself!"
"Give Joshua a break — not everyone fancies a grand birthday party, after all," the girl's raven-haired brother shrugged. "Besides, you already planned a birthday party for him and now he has no choice but to comply with your wishes, albeit begrudgingly."
"Shut up, big bro."
"Just stating the truth, [Y/n]," Dietrich hummed. "Don't forget to pull back with the man today."
"Yes, yes~"
It didn't take long for the [L/n] siblings to arrive at their destination. Just like with Lucilicca before, they were celebrating a certain pinkette's birthday in a garden. But they weren't at Fragrant Rosebud. The young [h/c]ette had to ask her friends for any cheap open place that they could rent to celebrate Joshua's birthday. And thankfully, her friends gave her a hand in preparing it. After all, after hearing Joshua's disinterest in celebrating his birthday, [Y/n] certainly wouldn't hesitate to throw a party herself. Whether the man liked it or not.
The young actress knew that not every one of her friends wanted to have their birthday celebrated in a grandiose fashion or even throw a large party about it. She understood that each has their preferred way of celebrating. However, it just upsets her how disinterested the man could be concerning his own birthday.
"I know he's busy and all but he should at least be excited about his upcoming birthday. Hmph!"
"You two finally arrived."
Dietrich gave a wave to his friends, trudging towards them. "Hey, everyone."
Compared to previous birthday celebrations [Y/n] attended, this time, fewer people were participating. Her eyes scanned the crowd. Vanessa, Lumie, and Cesaire were seated together on a circular table, chatting amongst themselves. Nine, Astrid, Charlotte, and Schneider were running around playing tag, careful not to knock over the tables and chairs set up in the area. Meanwhile, the others were prepping the last few things for today's celebration.
Dietrich instantly noticed a table full of gifts. Despite the few people attending, everybody sure doesn't forget to send even a small present for the birthday boy. Nudging at his younger sister, they then went to the table to drop off their presents for Joshua, along with three more presents from their relatives who weren't able to come.
"I haven't seen Joshua around..." [Y/n] mentioned, her [e/c] hues trying to find a certain pink-haired actor.
"He's at the gazebo," a certain blonde came up to them, offering a wave of his hand.
[Y/n]'s face lit up at the approaching man. "Johan~"
The bespectacled blonde chuckled at the younger girl's welcome. "Joshua said he wanted to take a nap at a gazebo nearby."
"He just finished his appointment, right?" Dietrich crossed his arms. "He told me that he had a seiyuu convention event earlier today. That's why he insisted on having his celebration in the afternoon."
"Yeah, pretty much," the other man nodded. "He arrived right after finishing the event. We gave him time to rest while we finished up the other preparations."
A small frown emerged on the young girl's lips, eyebrows knitted and eyes containing a glint of sadness.
"Ugh... I don't know how to feel about this. I'm upset but also grateful."
"Don't frown too much or else you'll get wrinkles on your forehead while you're still young," Dietrich mocked the [h/c]-haired female who didn't hesitate to spare him a heated glare.
"Hmph. Shut it. I'll go to Joshua to see how he's doing," [Y/n] remarked, her expression now relaxing. She then faced Johan. "Where's the direction of the gazebo?"
"Just follow the stone pathway and you'll arrive there. That's the only gazebo here so it's easy to spot."
"Thanks!" With that, [Y/n] went off running. "I'll bring the birthday boy here in a few minutes~"
Both males' gaze was fixated on the petite figure of the young actress, watching as she disappeared behind the foliage. After she completely disappeared, Dietrich sighed and shook his head. As for Johan, he let out a chuckle into his fist, a smile soon forming on his lips.
"And this is why I told [Y/n] to go easy on Joshua..."
"I'm sure she won't go overboard. Don't worry."
"This is my first time in this place... I'm glad my friends know a lot of places. And thanks to their connections, I'm able to acquire this for Joshua's birthday."
Walking for a few more bit, [Y/n] finally arrived at the gazebo Joshua was resting at. It was one of those outdoor ones with benches that surrounded it, allowing some sun rays to reach its occupant. She quickly pushed her way through the bushes until she reached the edge of the platform. She smiled lightly upon seeing a familiar figure leaning against the wall of the gazebo, seemingly deep asleep. As she carefully approached him, the young girl noticed how peaceful Joshua looked while sleeping. His facial features and eyes showed nothing but calmness, making her cheeks flush pink at the rare image.
[Y/n] quietly took her phone out, snapping a couple of pictures of the sleeping pinkette. Once she was done taking a pic and putting it away, she softly sat down next to Joshua.
"Despite how Joshua usually is, he's one of the most hardworking people I know. And I know that he enjoys his work as well, showing an animated side when it comes to it."
"I'll wait for him to wake up," the girl peered at the man beside her, eyes softening. However, as soon as she stared at the picture she took, her smile contorted into a smirk. Her [e/c] hues glimmered with evident mischief. "Ufufu~ These would be great blackmail material~"
An hour had passed since [Y/n] went to fetch Joshua. The pink-haired man stirred in his sleep, his eyes slowly opening. Joshua let out a tired yawn, rubbing the sleep away from his lids. The afternoon sun was peeking through the foliage around them, sending a warm sensation all over his body. After he adjusted himself on the bench, he felt another presence next to him.
The man peered to his side, seeing a particular [h/c]-haired actress playing on her phone, earphones plugged into her ears. He can't help but have a small smile on his lips upon seeing her. He knew that despite the girl's upbeat and childish behavior regularly, she was still considerate of her co-workers.
"Ah, you're finally awake, Joshua," the young girl let down her phone and removed an earphone. "How's your nap? Slept well?"
"Mhm. I did," Joshua stretched his stiff body and let out another yawn. He then glanced at their surroundings and then at her. "What time is it?"
[Y/n] checked her phone. "Hm, it's a bit after 2. Don't worry, I told everyone else that I'll wait for you to wake up before starting the party and they agreed."
"Hm... They must have a lot of free time..."
The [h/c]ette snickered. "Well, I'm pretty sure everyone who is here does. After all, they're here to celebrate your birthday."
Joshua hummed. "I see."
Offering a gentle smile, [Y/n] stood up from her seat and dusted her clothes. "We've made them wait for a long time. How about we return?"
Standing up and adjusting his clothes, the pink-haired actor nodded down at his friend. "Let's go."
"Ah! There they are!" a certain magenta-haired female spotted the duo who were absent from the main garden. She then jumped up and waved both arms in the air.
It didn't take long for the pair to return to the main area where they would be celebrating Joshua's birthday. The man's pink hues widened a bit at how simple yet carefully decorated the venue was. There were a couple of circular tables scattered around the stone pavement, and four to five chairs encircled the furniture. By the side near the bushes was a lone table where multiple gifts of various sizes were neatly stacked. And helium balloons were tied to each lamppost, a chibi image of the man printed on the inflated balloons.
Everyone who saw the two smiled, excited to get this party started.
"Did Sleeping Beauty get his well-deserved rest?" Astrid skipped toward Joshua, her teasing tone didn't escape his ears.
[Y/n] snickered. "He did. I was feeling guilty if I woke him up when he was sleeping peacefully so I just let him snooze off."
"Heh~" Astrid's narrowed eyes scanned the man, a smirk already on her lips.
Once again, Joshua sighed at the girl's attitude.
"Alright, alright," thankfully, Dietrich decided to save the pinkette from further headache. "Now that Joshua's here, let's get this party started."
"Yosh! To start this birthday party up, let's first play some minigames!" Astrid said, a mic in her hand and her voice booming through a speaker nearby.
Everyone was standing, each of them divided into teams of three for whatever game this was. Since there are 16 participants for Joshua's birthday, Astrid decided it would be best for her to coordinate the event. Besides, the game that they'll be playing won't be that difficult and time-consuming — it's just a little something to liven up the party.
Her magenta orbs scanned the faces of her friends, seeing how varied their reactions were. But amidst the group, she noticed Joshua's faint smile and a glimmer of anticipation in his orbs. She, too, can't help but smile.
"Alright. Now that we have five groups of three, the first game that we'll be playing is called 'Three-legged Race'," Astrid's eyes lit up upon seeing the looks on her friends — some were confused, some were excited, while others were concerned. "We have here long cloth for tying up your feet. Make sure to decide who is in the middle and how your group moves."
"Oh, boy. This will be chaotic..."
[Y/n] is grouped with Cesaire and Kartis. As the smallest in her team, the girl can't help but feel the anxiety build up in the pits of her stomach. Although this game is just for fun and has no serious competition, the young girl is still competitive enough to want to win this, whether or not she receives a prize. Not that she's expecting it. Besides, if she beats her older brother, she could always use that as an excuse to earn a favor from him.
"Have any of you played this before?" Cesaire asked.
Kartis placed a hand under his chin. "If I remember correctly, I played this when I was young, but instead of three people, it was a pair."
"How about you, [Y/n]?"
"I did, but only on occasions," she chuckled awkwardly. "I'm never good at playing party games so I often pass on the offer."
The brunette woman nodded. "I see."
Astrid went over to every group and gave them two long fabrics to tie around the player's ankles. [Y/n], Cesaire, and Kartis already talked about how they would be positioned — Kartis being in the middle of two girls. Since this would be the first time they would be playing this kind of game since they were young, they decided to take it slow and get accustomed to the challenge.
"Is everyone ready?" the magenta-haired woman asked, scanning over the faces of her friends. "Alright. Each team has to run up to the chair and run back to the start to win. Also, don't forget to stay safe while playing!"
"This is so nerve-wracking..."
"Ready? And... Go!"
"Everyone took the first step forward as Astrid said the magic word. As planned, [Y/n] took a step with her right leg, getting as far as she could despite how short her legs were compared to the silver-haired man beside her. The same goes as well for Cesaire, taking the first step with her right leg first as Kartis took the step with his left leg, trying to match with the girl to not accidentally pull her forward.
Astrid watched in awe as everyone did their best to run, her phone up and ready to record the entire process. As expected, some groups were confused and had difficulty matching their teammates' pace. It was funny how Baretta, Lumie, and Johan kept tumbling despite them being as careful as possible.
As for Nine, Fram, and Dietrich, the raven-haired man was panicking over the other two who were confused over which leg to take the step with. There was even a point when the three of them decided to hop when Fram sprinted forward, dragging the two males who were stuck with her.
Raligon, Schneider, and Joshua were doing well. But they were not as fast as everyone else. Slow and steady as they say. Last, but not least, Charlotte, Brandon, and Vanessa were somewhere in the middle between everyone else. They carefully take each step, slowly but surely. But as soon as they got the hang of it, they slowly increased their pace to catch up with everyone else.
"Whoah..... and goal!" Astrid yelled out with her mic.
"Heck yeah!" Fram shouted, her arms up in the air.
"Man... I thought we were gonna be first..." [Y/n] huffed, feeling her heart racing in her chest. She wiped away some sweat on her face and smiled.
The winners of this game were Nine, Dietrich, and Fram. The black-haired woman was enthusiastic about her win, but the same couldn't be said for the other two. Since they were practically dragged along with Fram, the two boys tried their best to catch her pace to not trip. They don't know how they could've gotten lucky not only to win but also to prevent any stumbling with Fram's recklessness. And now, they were a panting mess after the woman's little antics.
"Next time... warn us," Dietrich panted, wiping away the numerous sweat on his face.
"Yeah! We could've gotten hurt!" Nine seconded, pouting.
Fram glanced back at them and rubbed her head, sending them a sheepish smile. "Hehe, sorry!"
"That's Fram, alright..."
[Y/n] couldn't help but shake her head at that. She turned to her team and smiled as she finally removed the cloth that bonded her legs with Kartis's. Soon, everyone else arrived back, but not without a final stumble with Baretta and Johan. Everyone laughed at the occurrence — Astrid, of course, didn't fail to capture everything on camera.
After everyone removed the fabric from their ankles, they took a moment of rest from the sudden adrenaline rush. Some drank water while others were sharing stories about their experience with the game, eliciting giggles here and there.
"You sure took your sweet time, huh?" [Y/n] sidled up to Joshua who was watching the crowd in silence.
The man peered down at her. Soon, he smiled, closing his eyes. "This is just the start, I don't want to consume so much energy on the first game."
"Heh~? Is that so?"
"You won't annoy me like this, [Y/n]," Joshua pinched the girl's cheeks lightly, earning himself a surprised yelp and a blush on the girl's face. "Now, come on. Astrid's gonna start the next one."
After the short break, the magenta-haired actress grouped them again. But this time, there are three groups with five members each. She explained that this time, they would be playing a relay game. Each player has a spoon in their mouth, biting into the handle part. Then, they would transfer a plastic egg to the next person until it reached the goal without dropping it. If they drop the egg, they will start from the very start. There are five eggs that they need to complete.
This time, [Y/n] was placed in the same group as Joshua, with Charlotte, Kartis, and Johan as their other teammates. They decided to have the players arranged by height so that passing the egg would be easier. So, the lineup was Kartis at the very start, then Johan, Joshua, [Y/n], and then Charlotte.
"Alright! Ready, start!"
Once more, everyone hurried to pass the egg to the next person. Since the egg was bigger than the spoon, it was a lot more difficult to pass than they thought. That's why [Y/n]'s group decided to take this very, very, slow and steady. Of course, Astrid was already filming the entire thing, capturing her friend's various expressions up close.
While the back of the line was busy with passing, the young [h/c]ette watched the other groups. She couldn't help but giggle when Fram was getting impatient and tried to pass the egg to Baretta, only for it to fall. Then, there would be times that Brandon was getting annoyed with the spoon in his mouth as it kept moving.
"Mhm."
A low grunt snapped the girl from her watch and she immediately shifted her attention towards the pink-haired man in front of her. Carefully positioning the spoon in her mouth, [Y/n] nodded to Joshua and bent down a bit, making it easier for the man to lean forward and hopefully pass the egg to her. As expected, it was easier said than done and the two took their sweet time cautiously passing the egg.
There were moments when the egg almost fell, and Joshua had to stop leaning the spoon down or else the female wouldn't be able to catch it. Creases were already in between the male's eyebrows, his pink orbs fixated on the spoons and egg in front of him.
"Maybe because of the height difference that he's having trouble."
Although [Y/n] was having fun seeing Joshua struggle, she knew that they were holding up the line and needed to get the first egg through. That's why she tugged on the man's shirt to make him pause. She then pulled him to her side and he reluctantly obeyed, though he couldn't voice his concerns since he still had the egg.
Carefully, the young girl tugged him down so that they would be at the same level. Then, she leaned towards Joshua's cheeks, her head tilted to the side as her spoon touched the egg. Joshua, of course, was surprised by the sudden physical contact. He felt his heart race and cheeks burn at the unexpectedness of the younger's action. However, he quickly dismissed his embarrassment.
Knowing what she was intending to do, he waited for [Y/n]'s spoon to fully touch the egg. And once the egg was in between the two spoons, he had his hand on the girl's side to steady her. Then, he carefully transferred the egg to her spoon, his whole body almost tilting sideways in the process. Fortunately for them, the method worked.
Now, on to the last person before completing their first egg.
"I can't believe that worked," Johan chuckled into his fist, eyes watching the birthday boy in amusement.
"Joshua sighed, placing a hand on his neck and craning it. "I wasn't expecting [Y/n] to do that. She caught me by surprise."
"I can see that," the blonde snickered, noticing the pink tint on the other male's fair cheeks.
The sun slowly sets on the horizon. The colors of orange, yellow, and red decorate the approaching evening skies. The cold breeze would whizz past, sending a shiver down to some. Everyone was tired from the games that they played, the memories of various circumstances that happened earlier engraved in their mind. Though, of course, Astrid was meticulous enough to record the whole game from start to finish.
Now, they were seated at their respective tables, relishing in the highlight of today's birthday celebration — a serene afternoon tea party. It was something that [Y/n] decided to hold after asking Joshua's preferences for his party. She would've labeled the whole event as boring if she didn't know better. And surely, she was taught by her friends that her view of it changed.
Besides, it's not like she's also the type to have excessive fun at a party. She's never considered herself a party animal who has lots of energy at such events. So having a casual birthday party like this was great in itself.
"What tea do you want, [Y/n]?" Joshua asked from across the table.
"Hm... You decide. You know I'm uncultured with this stuff," she rubbed her temple, laughing sheepishly.
"Alright. Here's a classic — vanilla black tea."
[Y/n] observed as Joshua elegantly brewed the tea, her round orbs sparkling in amusement. Although the two would often chat over tea as a topic in their everyday conversation, she never had once seen Joshua brewing and serving tea himself. Just the selection of tea on the table was enough to overwhelm her, especially with each fragrance invading her nose. But personally seeing the pink-haired man brew tea was another thing altogether.
At nearby tables, Vanessa, Lumie, and Cesaire were the ones brewing tea for their circle, even teaching the younger ones how to properly brew and serve tea to each other.
After deciding to have a tea party, the one that [Y/n] had in mind was the fancy kind of tea party that nobilities do in old Europe and fantasy stories. Though thinking about it now, it seems a bit awkward since preparing tea is a long and careful process. And it's not like they have any maids to do the work for them.
And with their venue as a garden, it's obvious that there wouldn't be any kitchen to prepare tea. That's why Astrid had come up with the idea to use a gas stove instead so that they could at least boil the water.
"Man... I'm really so clumsy when it comes to preparing a birthday party..."
The girl mentally face-palmed at her shortcomings. But despite that, it seems that everything else was in order, and it's not like her friends were not enjoying the celebration as well.
It didn't take long for the [h/c]ette's tea to steep and ready to be served. After Joshua poured in some milk, he then served the tea to his friend. A gentle smile was present on his face, seeing how the girl inhaled the smell of black tea. Then, after pouring black tea into his cup, he sat down.
"Tea is better when you have desserts to go along with," he mentioned, getting some macaroons and cookies to put into the plate. After, he pushed the plate towards the [h/c]-haired actress. "Here. Have these."
"Uwah~ This is the kind of tea party that I always imagined!" [Y/n] squealed, her [e/c] orbs practically sparkling.
The man chuckled at her behavior. "This is how a tea party should be. Come on, drink your tea while it's still hot."
"Mhm!"
Following his words, the young girl didn't hesitate to take a sip of the tea. As soon as the hot liquid entered her mouth, she felt her cheeks burn up from the wonderful flavor invading her tongue. Of course, Joshua didn't miss seeing her reaction, and the way she munch on the desserts like a squirrel.
He smiled behind his cup. His expression softened at that, feeling butterflies fluttering in his stomach. Then, he glanced at the others, seeing how they were enjoying themselves as well. And as soon as his gaze was caught by a certain woman, she strode towards him, a sandwich in her hands.
"You enjoying yourself, Josh?" Astrid grinned.
The man exhaled before taking another sip, his attention now back to the [h/c]-tressed girl in front of him. "Of course. This year's birthday isn't so bad."
Astrid smirked. Then, without warning, she gave the pink-haired man a noogie, catching him by surprise that he almost choked on his drink. [Y/n] watched as Joshua's annoyance replaced his earlier expression, yelling at Astrid who just skipped away from the man.
The girl giggled. Soon, her half-lidded orbs drifted from the pink-haired man in front of her and then toward their friend group. She felt her heart melt at the sight.

Stark Family Picture Day
By Sukora Kurai
Tony sighed over the counter in the communal kitchen. He had been there since dawn when he asked Jarvis what day it was. Then his trusty AI informed him of an importance of this month. Now he was stuck with what to do now.
“Hey Tony what’s got you down?”
“Hey Capsicle, I’m doomed.”
“Oh come on Tony, it can’t be that bad you are an Avenger.” Steve smiled as he got out food to make omelets for the Team, and greeted the in coming members. “Morning Nat, morning Bruce.”
“Morning Steve, what’s wrong with Tony?” Bruce greeted heading to the stove to put the kettle on for his morning tea.
“Not sure I found him like this.” Steve stated cracking some eggs into a bowl.
“His and Loki’s anniversary is this month and he has no idea what to get him.” Nat answered pouring a large mug of coffee.
Tony shot up in his seat and stared slack jawed. “How could you possibly know that?”
“It’s my job as a shield Agent and Pepper’s PA to keep tabs on you. So it is well documented when you clumsily asked Loki to be your boyfriend during the Lord of the Rings Marathon where you bought out the AMC Theater for the day.” The Spy shrugged ignoring the fact that all her team mates stared at her in horror. All were now wondering what she had on them in those SHIELD files.
“So Tony, you have and anniversary coming up? Have you though about what Loki might like?” Steve coughed drawing the conversation back to the main topic.
“No, I don’t. What does one give a god especially one that has magic and can make anything appear out of thin air?” Tony waved his arms in frustration.
“That is a tough one but I’m sure anything you get him will be fine. Loki loves you Tony.” Bruce tried to be supportive.
“I hope you will be putting more thought into the gift you give me next month for our anniversary.” Nat gave the Gamma Doctor a pointed before wandering out of the room to start her routine before heading out to work.
“Ha, I’m not the only one in hot water now!” Tony crowed at the look of devastation in his science-bro’s face.
“Tony, knock it off. Now in my day it was the thought that counted most. You should find what Loki cherishes the most. You find that then you can present to him in a meaningful way. It’s true he’s a prince and probably has had his other lovers throw jewels and meaningless expensive trinkets at him to win his affections. You know Loki better because you love him and he loves you.” Steve pointed out.
“Yeah, Lokes complains a lot about his life in Asgard and that there were many who wooed him just to get to Thor. At night when it’s just the two of us and RC snuggled between us he sighs soft and says what a perfect night it is. He never elaborates but I think it means that he likes just the quiet nights with us.” The genius eyes went glazed as he recalled the many nights he cuddled with his god. Then the idea hit him. “Hey Spangles, can you paint or do you just draw?”
“Huh,” Steve was caught off guard and almost dropped the omelet he was flipping. “I paint from time to time.”
“Don’t lie babe you are in your studio whenever can get the chance.” Bucky laughed entering the kitchen. “All the paintings in our apartment Stevie did.”
“Great! Can you do a portrait if I get you a picture?” Tony asked digging in to the ham and cheese omelet.
“Yeah, it might take two weeks maybe less depends on if we get called out or if SHIELD needs me.” The captain estimated placing another plate in front of his boyfriend.
“As long as it’s done before the end of the month we’re good. Jarvis start looking through my photos and pull out any possible portraits.”
“Yes, sir.”
“Delicious breakfast as usual Capsicle. I’ll get you the photo as soon as I find one.” Tony dumped his empty plate in sink and ran off to his lab.
Two hours later…
“None of these are good enough J.”
“Sir, might I suggest you take a new photo of you and Prince Loki.”
“Yeah and RC too, because she’s our baby. We can’t have a Family Portrait without all the family members. Where’s are RC now?”
“She is currently with Alpine in his play room.”
“Cool, I think I got the perfect outfit in mind.” Tony grinned as he ran to his emergency closet in the lab. Tony had put in the closet when he realized he destroyed a lot of his clothes during his inventing and building phases. Also there was a suit or two for the days he forgot he was supposed to be in a meeting and had to make a rush to the board room.
In the penthouse…
It had been a quiet morning with no call outs, no calls to Asgard and no need to go anywhere. Loki decided to enjoy the peace and quite lounging in his soft Asgardian casual clothes on the couch reading his mother’s spell journal.
“Hey there, Bambi! It’s Picture Day!”
“Anthony, what are you on about?” The prince looked up from his book to see his lover carrying their cat into the living room.
“Well Picture Day refers to the day school kids take pictures for the yearbook and photos are bought for family distribution. Anyways I want to have a family picture that was honest. I never had that growing up because Howard was an asshole and Maria, my mother, was frail. She loved me but she couldn’t express it because she was always ill. Now we have our own little family and I want a picture to put in the lab.”
“You want to take this picture now? Anthony, I look a mess and how did you get the bow on the cat?”
“Aww, you look gorgeous, love, as always. Anyways, I put a bow on our baby because RC loves to look pretty for her daddies. Don’t you sweetie.” Tony scratched under the kitty’s chin as they sat on couch next to the god.
“Mew,” RC purred.
“Fine, you win, where would you like to take the picture? Also what are you wearing? I don’t believe I’ve seen that outfit before, and what is on your feet?” Loki set his book aside and took in his lover’s appearance.
“Oh you like? I dressed in red and gold to match my shoes. I had these shoes made based on my Iron Man suit. I thought maybe putting them on the market for kids but I liked them too much to share. So I have a life time supply in the lab. If you want I can have a pair made for you.”
“No thank you. They clash with my outfit. Now let’s take your picture.” Loki said taking the cat in his arms.
“Okay, okay. Let me get out my phone.” Tony fished his Stark Phone out of his back pocket and held it out to make them all fit in the frame. “Okay say cheese!”
“Click”
“Okay let’s see how that one turned out.” Tony looked at the photo to see him smiling a black blur and a bland look on Loki’s face. “Nope we got try again. This time smile Loki and RC you need to stay still so we can see you.”
And it went picture by picture they have yet to take a family portrait.
“Shit I only got half your face.”
“Anthony your thumb is on the lens.”
“RC Stay still!”
“Achoo! Ow! I dropped on my foot!”
“Do not eat my hair you Retched Creature!”
“Okay I set it up on a tripod. Now say cheese.”
“CHEESE BROTHER!” Thor popped up between the two men who stared at shock at the blond god.
“Next!” Tony rolled his eyes as Loki vanished his brother to where ever. Tony didn’t ask where the Loki sent Thunder god. He rather liked staying in the tower and wanted to keep it that way.
“Meow!”
“No RC! Don’t chase the bunny!”
Three Hours Later…
“Okay, this is it I can feel it. Now Jarvis is going to take the picture the bunnies are secure in their room. The penthouse is locked down, so no unexpected guest and RC is filled of milk to keep her calm and relaxed. And I promise after we get this picture I will have Jarvis order you favorite meal from the Thai Palace down the street and I’ll rub your feet, while we watch you favorite Harry Potter movies.”
“Oh Anthony you spoil me. I love you.” Loki sighed as a soft smile graced his face and he leaned into his lover as Tony joined their hands together. RC who was seated now on the god’s shoulder leaned in and purred soaking up the love of her people. The genius couldn’t be happier in that moment as he had his to precious family members with him and the grin on his face was wide and bright.
“Click.”
Two Weeks Later…
“Sir Prince Loki and Mr. Odinson have returned from Asgard.”
“Great, I got everything ready. Tell Loki that I have dinner ready and waiting.”
“Yes, sir.” Tony had the table set with Loki’s Favorite food from the five star steak house, they go to. He paid extra to have the chef come over and cook for their anniversary.
“Ding.”
“Thank you, Jarvis. Evening Anthony, never in my life had been so glad to leave Asgard. He talked for hours at the council over stagnant topics. What’s all this?”
“Well my hard working God of Mischief, today is our one year Anniversary and I have planned the perfect evening. Dinner, a bath and I installed a movie screen in our bathroom so we can enjoy the movie of your choice during the bath and then I plan on us making love until dawn.” Tony pulled Loki over to the dinner table, watching as the god’s magic removed the armor and replaced it with comfortable Asgardian wear.
“You lovely little man, you spoil me so; I don’t deserve it or you.” The Raven pulled the billionaire into his arms and planting kisses all over the man’s face.
“Yes you do, because I love you and I got you something, well I got Cap to make it, but it was my idea.”
“You didn’t have to, dinner is more than enough.”
“No, I wanted to. Now close your eyes and I’ll get your present.” As Loki closed his eyes Tony ran out of the room and grabbed the portrait from where he hid it. He placed it on the wall then Jarvis turned on the lights illuminating the painting. “Okay open them.”
“Oh Anthony! It’s wonderful.” Loki’s eyes became all misty seeing their little family together and there was so much love radiating from painting. “It’s perfect.”
“Happy Anniversary Reindeer Games.”
“Happy Anniversary, my Man of Iron.” Loki whispered pulling Tony in to the sweetest kiss they ever shared. They didn’t hear the click sound of Jarvis capturing the moment with the sunset background. Another memory to save for another day.
The End.

we’ll meet again, chapter seven
Pairing: Peter Maximoff x Reader
Warnings: nothing, just going along with the plot of Apocalypse
Words: 1.8K
Previous Chapter - Next Chapter
You jolt awake to the sound of Peter yelling, eyes snapping open to see him scrambling to the other side of the room you found yourself in. There were green lasers on every side of the wall, encasing you in some sort of cage.
“What’s wrong with you?” Hank’s voice next to you made you turn. He was in his “beast” form, slowly sitting up.
Peter looked down at his hands. “Is that gonna happen to all of us?” He looked up at you for confirmation, but Hank continued speaking.
“No, I just left my meds in the house.” After he stood up, he held his arm out, helping you up as well. You muttered a small thanks in return, still disoriented from everything going on.
“What happened, where are we?” Moira asked, getting no response from any of you.
“Hey, hey!” Raven’s yelling turned everyone’s attention to the top of the room, where the man from earlier was standing behind a window, staring down at you all. You inched closer to Peter, finding a small amount of comfort in the familiarity of your best friend.
“Hello, Mystique.” The man spoke coolly. His voice gave you a chill, only calmed by Peter wrapping an arm around you.
“Major Stryker.” She responded coldly, taking a few steps towards him.
“Colonel Stryker. I wouldn’t get too close to the wall if I were you. It may create some… discomfort.” At his words, you took a step away from the wall, gently pulling Peter with you.
“I’m Moira MacTaggart,” Moira cut in, stepping forward. “I’m a senior officer at the CIA.”
“I know who you are, agent MacTaggart.” Came Stryker’s response.
“You cannot keep me here, in this-”
“Actually I can. A psychic event just destroyed every nuke from here to Moscow.” Peter turned to you, mouthing the words “holy shit” before Stryker spoke again. “That event emanated from exactly where we found you, at the home of the world’s most powerful psychic. So you are going to tell me where is Charles Xavier?”
“It’s not him you should be worried about. There’s someone else. Someone more powerful.” Moira’s words made your heart sink. Someone more powerful?
“If you let us out of here, we can help you.” Raven joined in, growing frustrated.
“Do you really expect me to believe that? You can put on any face that you want, but I know who you are. What you are.” Without saying another word, he stepped away from the microphone and left you all standing there, helpless.
“Um, Moira?” Hank said, catching her eye. “What did you mean when you said someone more powerful than Charles?”
As she began to explain, Peter left your side, shifting your focus as he walked up to Raven.
“Did you know him?” He asked. “Magneto?”
Your brow furrowed as you turned away from Hank’s conversation, appearing back at Peter’s side. He didn’t acknowledge your arrival to the conversation, besides his hand finding yours.
“I used to,” Raven said, not looking at him. “Not so sure anymore.”
“What was he like? Was he uhh- like they say he was- was he the… bad guy?” You could tell Peter was trying to slow his words down for her, half so his desperation wouldn’t shine through and half so she could understand him.
“No.” Her response was immediate, making Peter relax some. “I mean- yeah. He was… Why do you care so much, see his speech on TV or something?”
“Yeah, but, uh…” He cleared his throat, leaning closer to the two of you before continuing. “He’s my father.”
“What?” Raven finally turned around, eyes wide. You were just as shocked, simply whispering his name.
“Him and my mom, they-” Out of instinct, you put your hand over his, stopping him from making the gesture he was about to make while Raven interrupted him.
“No, I know.” She paused for a moment, letting the information sink in as she looked him over. “Are you sure?”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah, he left my mom before I was born. I met him ten years back, but I didn’t know it was him. By the time I figured it out, it was too late. Then this week I saw him on TV again, and I came to that house looking for him? But, by the time I got there,” he exhaled, looking at you briefly before looking back to Raven. “Late again… You know for a guy who moves as fast as me I always seem to be too late.”
“Let’s hope not this time.” She said, and you gave him a reassuring smile.
“Yeah, seriously.”
Before any of you could get another word in, Charles’ voice invaded your mind.
Hear me, inhabitants of this rock. This is a message. A message to every man, woman, and mutant. You have lost your way, but I have returned. The day of reckoning is here. All your buildings, all your towers, and temples… will fall. And the dawn of a new age will rise. For there is nothing you can do. This message is for one reason alone. To tell the strongest among you; those with the greatest power… protect those without.
“How is Charles doing that without Cerebro?” Hank asked, looking around the room.
No one answered, the only sound following Hank’s voice was a sharp knocking at the glass. You looked up, seeing Stryker standing there, impatient.
“I know that voice. It’s Xavier isn’t it, what’s going on?” His tone was so different from before as if all the upper hand he had was lost.
“We don’t know!” Raven yelled, followed closely by Peter’s more childish, “we don’t know, bro!”
Stryker sighed, walking away from the glass. You sighed, leaning your head on Peter’s shoulder. It was nice seeing him again, but everything else around you was just so much. And not to mention losing Alex like that…
You stayed like that for a couple of minutes, trying to regain your composure when alarms started going off. They were faint from where you all were standing, but you could still clearly see the yellow alarm lights flashing in the room behind the window. Whatever was happening couldn’t be good. You picked your head up, taking a tentative step towards the window.
“What are they doing?” Moira asked, not directed at anyone in particular.
“What’s going on?” Hank joined in, as well, all of you staring up at the alarms.
“Hey!” Raven yelled, to no avail. None of you could be heard outside of the cage unless they wanted you to be.
Suddenly, you could hear shouted warnings followed by a round of gunshots. You almost yelped, jumping back at the noise. The five of you stood there, in the middle of the room like sitting ducks. Your eyes kept darting around, trying to get a glimpse of movement in the room, but there was nothing. The alarms continued to blare distantly, but no other sound came.
When you saw Kurt, walk into the room, you blinked a couple times, a mixture of shock and relief on your face.
“Kurt,” Hank said plainly.
“How many blue mutants do you know?” Peter whispered, not taking his eyes off Kurt.
You shushed him, trying to figure out what Kurt was trying to say. He was making small gestures, words not reaching past the room he stood inside. He pointed off behind you guys, but none of you seemed to follow.
“What?” All of you except Raven asked, one at a time. Your brows furrowed as you tried in vain to reach his lips.
Raven pointed to her ear, and Kurt stopped, taking a step back and looking down at the console in front of him.
Whatever he did worked, because then you could hear the crackle of the microphone system.
“St..ay… away… -rom … -e doo-”
“What?” Hank asked again, leaning closer as if it would make him hear better.
“Th- doo- stay -way fr-m th-”
“Get away from the door!” Raven yelled, jumping into action.
“The door!” Peter grabbed your hand, pulling you with him across to the other side of the cage.
“On three!” Kurt’s voice rang out. “One, two-” He stopped, looking at his hand, realizing he ran out of fingers to count with. The count still continued, however, because in the next second, a blast hit the door, shooting debris into the room. You covered your eyes, shrinking away from the blast, not realizing how much Peter was shielding you from it with his body.
Raven ran out first, with you and Peter close behind. In front of you stood Jean and Scott, thankfully unharmed.
“We know where the professor is.” Jean started, looking to Raven.
“I think we might have a way out of here,” Scott said, nodding in reassurance.
“Well, you’ve been busy,” Raven added, taking a step towards them as the rest of the group filed out of the cage.
“We had uh- a- a little help,” Scott muttered, taking off once everyone was safely in the hallway. “Let’s go.”
As you ran, Kurt appeared in front of Scott who barely moved out of the way in time to dodge him.
“Ah! Jesus!” Peter yelled, clearly still not used to being around other mutants.
“Oh, sorry!” Kurt replied in earnest.
After a bit of running and twisting through hallways with dead guards littering the ground, you found a giant room being used as a launchpad, complete with a jet sitting right in the middle.
“Hey Hank, you think you can fly this thing?” Raven asked, knowing damn well he could if he tried.
“Yeah, I could figure it out.” You smiled at his modesty; Hank was one of the smartest people you’ve ever met.
“Hey, guys.” Scott’s voice grabbed everyone’s attention, turning to him. “Flight suits.”
Raven walked over, assessing the suits before looking back to Hank again. “You’ve got your warplane, let’s go to war.”
“Man, I hope those things fit.” You muttered quiet enough for only Peter to hear you. He snickered, walking up to one of the suits, and taking it out from its case.
Once you were all changed, everyone began to board the jet.
“Hey,” you stopped Peter, gently grabbing his wrist. He spun around, eyebrows raised.
“Yeah?”
“I’m just,” you hesitated, before looking into his eyes. “I’m really glad you’re here.”
He smiled, placing a hand on your shoulder. “I’m really glad you’re here too.”
“Guys! C’mon!” Raven called out, making you rush onto the jet.
You took the empty seat next to Peter, wringing your hands together in nervousness. To your surprise, Peter was already shoving a stick of gum in his mouth, god knows where he found that. He glanced at you, noticing your nerves.
“It’s gonna be okay. I’ll protect you.” He seemed so confident about it that you felt yourself relax a little. If only you knew what battle you were getting yourself into.

TW: MENTIONS OF DEATH, VIOLENCE, BLOOD MENTION
Chapter Four: Lines Are Erasable If They’re Drawn In Pencil
Part One: Thomas’s POV
The Last City burned in slow motion.
That’s what it felt like to the people who were there. It was a beautiful thing, watching that city burn, it felt like the final destruction of evil. Thomas didn’t have time to take in his victory, not as he dragged Newt through the ruins.
His friends shallow breathing made Thomas’s heart stop every time he heard it pause, even just for a second. He could collapse himself from exhaustion, but if he collapsed they both lied and he sure as hell wasn’t going to let Newt die. He couldn’t let Newt die.
Then Newt woke up, and Thomas wished he’d stayed unconscious for just a few minutes more.
“Tommy, kill me,” Newt whispered at Thomas wrestled the knife from his hands. “Make amends. Do one right thing.” His voice dropped to a whisper, and Thomas could physically feel his heart breaking. “Please, Tommy, Please.” Newt relaxed a bit, giving Thomas just enough time to knock the knife out of his hands and send it flying, hitting the pavement again a few yards away.
Newt lunged for the knife, but Thomas pulled him into a tight embrace. Newt squirmed and punched at Thomas’s back, but Thomas kept a firm grip. He could feel his grip slipping though, and as Newt tried to pry him off again Thomas grabbed a large chuck of rock.
“I’m so sorry Newt,” Thomas said, tears flowing down his face like two rivers running beside each other. “I’m don’t want to do this. I don’t want to hurt you.” He hit the rock up against Newt’s head, hard enough to knock him out and he prayed light enough to do nothing else.
Newt sunk to the ground and Thomas sunk down next to him, shaking violently.
“Thomas! Thomas!” A voice called. Thomas spun around to see Brenda running towards him, the serum in her hands. She stopped dead in her tracks when she saw Newt. “He’s not-?”
“He’s not dead,” Thomas assured her. “But give me the serum, he’s damn close.” Brenda stuck the needle into Newt’s arm. It was supposed to do something. But it didn’t.
“Newt,” Thomas whispered. “Newt please, please come back to me.” But nothing happened. Thomas pressed his hands to his friends chest, but there was no heartbeat. “I love you Newt, please.”
Thomas’s eyes shot open. He almost fell out of his hammock as he climbed up and went over to the sleeping blonde next to him, pressing his hand to Newt’s chest making sure not to wake him. After watching Newt’s chest move up and down with breathing and feeling his heartbeat he went back to his own hammock and pulled something out of his pocket.
A necklace. The necklace.
The necklace Newt gave him back in the last city. Thomas blinked and the image of Newt begging him to take the necklace from him, Newt dying. Thomas quickly opened the necklace in hopes to get rid of the image, pulling out a piece of paper, a letter.
For a moment Thomas thought he shouldn’t read it. Newt wrote it when he was dying, maybe he only intended for Thomas to read it after he was gone. Thomas began to read the letter anyways, he was never known to say no to an impulse.
Part Two: Minho
So, none of their plans had worked so far. Minho really thought he had it with truth or dare, but of course Newt had to go and shut it down. Minho did see the look of disappointment on Thomas’s face had inspired him to continue on, and to go rogue.
Sonya was going to kill him for this. Thomas was going to kill him for this, if this didn’t work out. Maybe even if it did. Hopefully he’ll be too busy kissing his new boyfriend to assist Sonya in murder. Sonya didn’t need the help.
Minho skipped breakfast to break into the tech tent (where they kept all the technology). He could get something from Frypan later, he could not get what he needed later. It had to be now, while the tent was empty.
Minho dug through two crates before he found what he was looking for: a small handheld voice recorder. He stuffed it in his pocket quickly and begun heading for the exit when a raven haired blue eyed girl appeared in his way.
“Minho? What are you doing in here?” Teresa asked.
“Better question is what you’re doing in here,” Minho replied quickly, trying to look for places he could run or find excuses he could use.
“Vince sent me to work in here, do inventory and stuff like that,” Teresa said.
“I won’t tell if you don’t tell,” Minho said quickly.
“Minho, I’m the one who’s supposed to be in here,” Teresa replied calmly. Minho gave her a charming smile which usually got him out of situations. Teresa sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. “Fine, go. But we’re not done with this conversation.” Minho thanked her and dashed off to find his favorite clueless idiots.
Thomas found him first, almost ran into him really. “Minho,” Thomas gasped. “I’ve been looking all over the place for you.”
“That’s perfect, I’ve been looking for you too,” Minho said. “Now what's this about Tommy boy?” Minho expected to get the usual ‘only Newt can call me Tommy’ speech. Instead he got two pieces of paper shoved in his face.
“Read this,” Thomas said. “Would you consider this a love letter?” Minho took the pages from Thomas and began to read as quickly as he could.
He finished, and the fact that Thomas had to question whether that was a love letter or not was concerning. ‘From the moment you ran into the maze I knew I’d follow you anywhere’ was the gayest shit Minho had ever and would ever read.
Minho had to try his hardest to restrain himself from squealing. Another idea came to him (the creativity was really flowing for him today).
“Dude, that’s totally a love letter,” Minho said. “Can I ask you a question?”
“Sure,” Thomas said, looking slightly confused.
“If you could respond to this letter, how would you?” Minho pressed the record button on the recorder in his pocket.
“I’d tell him since the minute I came up in that box, since he first looked down at me and I looked up at him there was never anyone else for me. That I realized that I was in love with him when he looked at me after he made me a runner, knowing he put all his trust in me and I couldn’t fail him. And that night in the scorch, I believed what he said to me, and I kept going because of him. And how I would have caught the flare a hundred times instead of him. That I have and always will love him.”
Minho would’ve teared up if he wasn’t so giddy with excitement. There’s no way that could be seen as platonic bro stuff, right? (knock on wood).
“Great thanks Tom, love you my dude,”Minho said before running off to seek on the other half of the boyfriends-who-weren’t-aware-they’re-boyfriends.
Part Three: Newt
Newt was immediately suspicious when he saw Minho running towards him with a stupid grin plastered on his face. Newt had been working in the gardens with Sonya and Harriet (they usually hunted but they were all stocked up on meat so there was no need today) when he saw his friend coming towards them.
Newt had been talking to Sonya about different types of plants. She’d ask a question about what type of plant it was or something like that and he’d tell her. He found he liked having someone to teach quite a lot, he liked having a sister.
“What the fuck is this about?” Newt sighed as Minho arrived at his side.
“Yeah, what the,” Sonya paused mid-sentence.
“Fuck,” Harriet inserted.
“Is this about?” Sonya finished, glaring at Minho suspiciously.
“I just need to talk to Newt in private about super secret bro stuff,” Minho said. The siblings and Harriet all glared at Minho was disbelief. “I want to talk to him about Brenda and Teresa’s undeniable chemistry.” Sonya and Harriet shrugged and went back to work. Minho grabbed Newt’s arm and began to drag him towards the beach, Newt trying to twist out of Minho’s grip. Newt was strong, but Minho was stronger.
“What’s this really about,” Newt said as his shoes hit the sand. He really hated being on the beach with his shoes on.
“Don’t talk, just listen, kay?” Minho said, pulling a voice recorder and hitting play before Newt could protest.
He recognized Thomas’s voice immediately. He quickly thought of Thomas pressing his hand to Newt’s chest this morning, Newt pretending to be asleep as his heart sped up.
That I have and always will love him,” Thomas said.
Newt couldn’t stop the tears from spilling out of his eyes. Minho clearly didn’t expect this reaction, he quickly pulled his friend into a hug though.
“Is something wrong? I thought you’d be happy to hear that?” Minho said.
Newt was happy, he really was. He’d spent the past months pining hopelessly, praying Thomas would love him back even just a little bit. He remembered all the nights he’d woke up looking for Alby or Minho and Thomas was always there to hold him until he fell back to sleep, or if he didn’t think he could go back to sleep to stay up and talk with him. How one time on the move looking for Minho they almost kissed but Vince called them over before they could, how Newt had stayed up for days thinking about what could have happened that moment.
And now he was getting that opportunity again.
“Happy, so happy Min, just overwhelmed,” Newt said, wiping the tears on his sleeve. Minho grinned and hit him on the back lightly.
“Go get your lover boy then.”

Honey 7
It’s been a while. I won’t lie and say that I didn’t have severe writer’s block. Still don’t like how this turned out. But it’s something.
“I’ve brought reinforcements,” Terra says, throwing her hands in the air enthusiastically. Raven breezes past her and places her bag of crystals and herbs onto the table.
“To our exposed tower,” Raven drones, emptying her bag one crystal at a time. Garfield bites at a hangnail on his thumb.
“Uh...you’re welcome,” Terra says, head tilting to the side and hands falling limply at her sides. Raven glances at Terra briefly, then returns her attention back to the stones. It’s silent for a few moments. Garfield sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose with his thumb and index finger. Terra and Raven toed the line between friends and enemies constantly. They cared about each other deeply but also knew exactly what to say to push each other’s buttons. There was no telling how they’d interact with each other at any given time.
“Thank you Terra,” he says, placing a hand on his girlfriend’s back. She shoots him a loose, irritated smile.
“You don’t need to thank me,” Terra says, directing her words at the sorceress across from her. Raven’s head is turned down.
“Thank you for thinking of us Terra. I just don’t know if this is an instance where there is strength in numbers or whether adding members to our team multiplies our vulnerabilities.”
Garfield places his hands on Terra’s tight shoulders, feeling the air around everyone rising in temperature.
“Mmhhhm, I get it,” Terra says, sucking her lips into her mouth in a way that suggests she did not, in fact, ‘get it.’ “Guess I was just worried when Garfield called me in the middle of the night to tell me that your little boyfriend turned him into a literal fish out of water.”
“Okay!” Garfield says, clapping his hands at the same time Raven’s head snaps up at Terra. “Terra and Aqualad are here. Nothing we can do about that now.”
“Right,” Raven says, keeping eye contact with Terra for a few beats. She puckers her lips, and looks blankly at the wall behind them. “Truthfully, both of your powers will be very useful to us.”
“How so?” Terra asks. Garfield tries not to make his relief visible when he notes that a lot of the edge in both of their voices has been softened.
“I’ll explain but first-” Raven says, waving her hands until there is a circle of white gemstones around the group. “Demons can’t pass a barrier of quartz.”
“Right,” Terra says, rocking on her heels and eyeing the little rocks skeptically. “So how can we help.”
“Incantations don’t really have a shelf life. They are immediate solutions to immediate problems. Spells and curses work best when they are bound to something tangible. Either a person or something earthen. It’s the reason why voodoo dolls are usually made of clay. And the reason for these,” Raven says, gesturing to the multi colored crystals in front of them. “And water-”
“Is a purifying element,” Aqualad finishes for Raven, playing with a chunk of amethyst. He looks around at the team’s expectant faces. “Ever watch the Wizards of Oz? Water melts the witch.”
“Such a marvelous movie!” Starfire exclaims at the same time Garfield blurts-
“Raven takes showers though.”
He immediately buries his forehead into Terra’s hair. Not the best time to sound like I think about Raven showering. He thinks to himself, clenching his eyes tight. He feels his back muscles tighten when he hears Garth chuckle.
“The Wizard of Oz is an exaggeration of the actual truth,” Garth says.
“Being?” Nightwing asks. Aqualad looks at Raven to see if she wants to explain. Raven shrugs.
“You were very eager to explain a few moments ago,” she says, eyebrow arched. Garth chuckles, running a hand through his jet black locks. “Water is considered pure. Dark magic and dark energy travels through it at a much slower rate. It’s why people use water in baptisms and exorcisms. It’s meant to cleanse.”
“Is there anything this guy doesn’t know about?” Garfield mumbles under his breath into Terra’s hair.
“I’m not great at art history,” Aqualad says. Garfield makes a point to look at Garth’s face when he rolls his eyes.
“So our plan is to have Aqualad throw buckets of water on your brothers?” Garfield asks.
“Our plan-” Raven narrows her eyes at Changeling. “Is to trap my three eldest brothers in crystal cages and detach their spirits from their corporeal forms.”
“That sounds-” Cyborg starts, scratching at his head.
“Like murder,” Nightwing finishes. Starfire cringes, placing her fingers on her lips. She looks to Nightwing, then to Raven.
“It’s not,” Raven says, sighing when Nightwing doesn’t immediately relax. “It’s not. My brothers are higher order demons. Their spirits cannot be destroyed.”
Nightwing crosses his arms over his chest.
“Really Nightwing, do you honestly think we are capable of removing sin from the world?” Raven asks. One of her eyes twitches.
Raven looks around to her teammates who say nothing. “The answer is a very very clear ‘no.’ My brothers need to exist.”
“The world needs balance,” Aqualad says. Raven nods at him.
“Something it will not have if my father is released. Which is why we need to separate my brothers’ spirits from their bodies and trap them in clay figurines. This will make it nearly impossible for them to communicate their plans with each other. It will solve our problems for at least another decade.”
“And their bodies?” Nightwing asks. Raven feels her skin prickle at the sharp accusation.
“Are just that,” she replies smoothly. “Bodies. Their bodies only serve as conduits for their immortal spirits. Trigon will eventually find another human woman to manipulate and seduce and my brothers will have a new conduit.”
“We need to think of another way,” Nightwing bristles, pounding his fist into his hand. Raven looks at his fist in his hand.
“There is no other way.”
“We can’t just murd-”
“This is not murde-”
“Then why does your plan end with six lifeless bodies. Your brothers have human mothers. They are human.”
“No Nightwing...there is absolutely nothing human about my brothers. If you knew what they were capable of, you would know that. With certainty.”
“Trigon made them the same way he made you.”
The words shouldn’t have had as much force as they did but Garfield finds himself taking a step back. He can hear everyone’s breath catch in their throat at the same time. Garfield notices Raven’s shoulders shift, almost as if she’s accommodating the weight of the words Nightwing just said. Besides that, she is frozen in place. She does not look up. She does not acknowledge what was said. Nightwing’s frowning, his fingers twitching against his thighs. It looks like he’s torn between wanting to say something and wanting to stand firm. He doesn’t get the chance to make the decision because Raven turns around, her cloak swirling around her ankles. She starts moving towards the common room doors.
Then suddenly she yelps in a way that makes Garfield’s ears ring. One second she’s surrounded by shocking white light and the next she’s being propelled backwards, forcefully and quickly, into the sofa. Garfield can hear the impact as her back hits the wooden structure underneath the cushions. He winces. He and Starfire are by her side immediately. Nightwing runs in front of her, bo staff gripped tightly in his hand. His eyes are sharp as he looks around the common room for the intruder.
“My brothers aren’t here,” Raven says, wincing a little as Starfire helps her to sit up. Nightwing turns around, eyebrows crinkled. Raven sighs.
“Star could you-” Raven pauses. Garfield looks down as her throat moves when she swallows deeply and silently. “Could you move one of those crystals?”
And understanding falls over Garfield like an itchy sweater.
“Demons can’t pass through a ring of quartz,” Raven mumbles, looking down. Garfield feels fingers tighten around his heart as Nightwing’s last words are validated. Trigon made them the same way he made you. He wonders how many therapy sessions he himself would need to work through that idea. Aqualad moves to the quartz quickly and tosses the gem across the room.
“You’ll have to-” Raven clears her throat, and she hasn’t looked back up again. “You’ll have to put it back when I leave.”
“Listen Raven-” Nightwing starts.
“I’ll be back,” Raven says, rushing to the roof. Garfield presses his lips firmly together and runs a hand through his hair. No one moves for a couple minutes.
“So...what do we do now?” Terra asks. Garfield rubs the back of his neck. The whole team looks to Nightwing. His face and body are a mix of hard angles as he looks to the doors Raven left out of. His lips a straight line. His shoulders at perfect right angles with his neck. His jaw, somehow even more chiseled. Still Garfield can see traces of regret behind his statuesque frame. Realizing they wouldn’t be getting anything useful from him, Starfire, Cyborg and Changeling look between each other.
“You’re up grass stain,” Cyborg says, drumming his mechanical fingers against his chest. Garfield gapes at him.
“Up for what?”
“You gotta bring her back down,” Cyborg says, as if it’s that simple. Garfield places both hands on his head.
“Bro, what if she’s meditating?”
“Her brothers can attack at any time. We have to prioritize this,” Cyborg says, arms crossed over his chest. Garfield looks towards Terra who has started up a conversation with Aqualad since Raven’s departure. He leans towards his friend.
“Do you really think I am the best person to talk to her about this right now?” Garfield whispers, his voice coming out like little hisses between his tight lips. Cyborg waves him off.
“Her brother was obviously trying to throw you two off your game earlier,” Cyborg shrugs. Garfield crosses his arms across his chest and resists stomping his foot.
“Seriously? Why does everyone keep saying it’s obvious? What am I? Chopped liver.”
“Of course not friend,” Starfire says, rubbing her hand back and forth over his shoulder.
“You know you’re the only one who can talk to her when she’s on that roof.”
“That’s not true!” Garfield exclaims. Cyborg presses his lips together and tilts his head from left and right as if contemplating that sentence.
“Okay, we could all probably reach out to her but you’re usually the only one ballsy enough to do it. She’ll be expecting you.”
“Well it’s not gonna be me this time,” Garfield says, fingers digging into his elbows. It was awkward enough in the elevator.
Garfield stares at Cyborg.
And Cyborg stares at Garfield.
And Starfire stands to the side looking between both of them.
And five minutes later Garfield finds himself on the roof of the tower, the door closing softly behind him.
Garfield curses and silently prays he’s not interrupting time she needs for herself. Raven’s knees are clutched to her chest, the soft wind is blowing strands of her hair backwards. He’s pondering how to approach her when a strand of her hair catches the light. All together her hair is such a dark purple that it’s almost black but when the strands are separated it’s a plum color. It’s the same color of the plums his mom used to bring him in Africa. They were always so fat and juicy. Garfield licks his lips.
“Are you going to stand there all day?” Raven asks, not bothering to look back at him.
“Was trying to avoid getting thrown off the roof,” Garfield says, placing his hands in his pockets and leaning against the door. Raven finally looks back, and the light is hitting her in a way that tints half her face golden.
“Haven’t thrown you off the roof, or anywhere for that matter, in years.”
“That’s-” Not true, he wants to say but then he thinks about it. She hasn’t used her powers on him in a while.
“Fair enough,” he says, and walks towards her. He tilts his chin to the spot next to her. “Mind if I sit?”
“It’s not my roof,” Raven shrugs. Garfield presses his lips together tightly but sits down next to her anyways. He mirrors her position, bringing his knees to his chest. He looks out at the glittering water.
“You think my plan is murder?” Raven asks.
“Don’t think you’re capable of murder,” Garfield says, watching a bird jump around at the shore line. They let the sound of the waves crash over their conversation for a few moments.
“But I’m not comfortable with your plan,” he says and turns his head to look her in the eyes. “And I’m not sure the rest of the team is either.”
Raven’s lips remain frustratingly straight. Garfield doesn’t break eye contact.
“There’s not another option.” Garfield shakes his head.
“There’s always another option.”
A particular hard wave crashes against the shore. Raven looks away to look at it.
“They won’t hesitate to kill any of you if given the option,” Raven says in a low voice. Garfield watches as she brushes a strand of hair away from her face then looks away again.
“It’s usually a hazard of the job,” Garfield says, leaning his back against the roof and looking up at the clouds above their heads. Raven looks back at him from her seated position the sunlight behind her is making the edges of her hair glow.
“If your lives are in danger I’m going through with it regardless of what Nightwing, or anyone, thinks.”
Garfield sticks his palm underneath his head and juts his bottom lip out in thought.
“You know Nightwing didn’t mean to insult you.”
“Doesn’t mean I wasn’t.”
Garfield hums.
“I’m sorry,” he says.
“You don’t have to apologize for Nightwing.”
“Well yeah but I meant for making things uncomfortable in the elevator and for being so crude.”
“My brother made them uncomfortable,” Raven says, getting up from her seat.
“So you admit it was uncomfortable?” Garfield asks, grinning. He shields his eyes with his hand so he can get a better look at her face. She gives him a deadpan expression, then juts her chin towards the entrance to the Tower.
“Let’s get back inside.”
Garfield walks in front of Raven once they get off the elevator to the common room and quickly removes the stone just as she’s about to cross the barrier.
“Okay, let’s say my plan is murder. Let’s say that that is something that you think I am capable of-” Raven begins. Garfield cringes. Cyborg shoots him a look.
“Hey! I got her back downstairs,” Garfield says, hands up in front of him.
“Raven-” Nightwing says through a sigh. She puts a hand up.
“Let’s say my brothers, who have stood behind every person who has done any sickening thing in this world, are like me. Let’s say these men who have raped, murdered, robbed, are anything like me-”
“Your brothers are nothing like you. I misspoke-”’
Raven puts her hand up again. “What is your plan?”
“We keep them in a similar room to the one we kept you in on your sixteenth birthday.”
Raven purses her lips. “I don’t know what you are expecting from this experiment but I would be remiss not to remind you that my brothers’ entire identities are tied to how many people they can make fall from grace,” Raven pauses, then sighs. “But I admire your infallible, perhaps misplaced, hope that there is something good even in the depths of Hell...maybe I’m too close to the situation to see properly. I am not too proud to admit that.”
She shakes her head. “I trust your gut Nightwing. It hasn’t led us astray yet. If you think that we can do this some other way. If you are convinced-” Raven hesitates, biting her lip. She looks Nightwing in the eyes. “I have followed you blindly to the ends of the Earth before.”
Nightwing lets those words settle on his shoulders. “I didn’t mean to say that you are anything like your brothers. But maybe-” Nightwing pauses. He places a hand on Raven’s shoulders. “Maybe they are, even if only a little bit, like you. Anyone who has the potential to be like you should be given the chance.”
“So be it,” Raven says, bowing her head, and moves to the table fingering her crystals.
“You’ll all have to wear these. It will protect you from demonic influence.”
“I think we are forgetting one dragon sized problem,” Cyborg says.
“I’ll worry about Malchior,” Raven says. Garfield clears his throat.
“Actually Rae-” he begins. Raven looks up at him and he messes with the collar of his uniform. “I think I can help with Malchior.”
“Unless you’ve been hiding your knowledge of archaic magic-” Garfield rolls his eyes.
“I think I can turn into a dragon,” he interrupts. She stutters and he has to stop himself from grinning.
“You can- I- what?”
“Why haven’t you told me this baby?” Terra asks. Garfield shrugs.
“It’s new. I thought I could only turn myself into animals but apparently mythological creatures are not off the table.”
“How did you find this out friend?” Starfire asks, eyes wide and shiny. Garfield blushes and plays with the hairs at the nape of his neck.
“I may have turned into a unicorn.” Cyborg snorts. Raven has to resist smiling when Garfield’s cheeks tint brown with a blush.
“Why would you-” Terra begins but things start to connect for Raven.
“Jordan,” Raven says in a low voice. Garfield peaks up at her through his lashes. “She loves unicorns.”
Garfield nods, keeping eye contact with Raven. For once it doesn’t make the air around them too thick to breathe.
“Well. I’ll have to be at your side at all times. Malchior will not resist an opportunity to change your form again. These crystals will protect you from my brothers but not Malchior’s magic. Aqualad can only be in so many places and he can only provide a temporary barrier. I’m going to have to shield your mind.”
“Woah. I don’t think that’s safe,” Terra says, standing in front of Garfield with her hands up as if forming a protective barrier around him. “What happens if you get knocked out?”
Raven bites her lip, contemplating this. Garfield moves in front of Terra, his back to Raven.
“Even if I’m not fighting with Malchior directly, I’ll be in the same field. It’s better I’m close to Raven so I have the added protection of the mental shield.”
“How about you sit this one out?” Terra asks, hesitantly, in a voice so low that Raven was sure Terra already knew the answer would be ‘no’ before she even asked the question. Garfield, in typical Garfield fashion, does not get defensive. He chuckles and grips his girlfriend’s shoulders lightly.
“Can superheroes do that now?” he directs the question to her but then swirls around to his teammates. “Cause let me tell you, there are about a million battles with Plasmus that I would’ve sat out.”
Terra sighs.
“We’ll make sure Aqualad is by us too. That way if I get knocked out, he can put up a barrier quickly and Garfield can escape somewhere.”
“I want to be by you too,” Terra says and Nightwing immediately shakes his head.
“We’ll need at least four of us to fight the six brothers.”
“Four brothers,” Raven corrects.
“Four?” Starfire asks. “But there are seven sins?”
“My brothers weren’t all born in the same year. Currently sloth is an infant and Greed is around 2.”
“What?” Cyborg asks. Raven shrugs.
“Many women get a feeling about how evil my father is before he can impregnate them. Gluttony is only eight years old but I still wouldn’t underestimate him.”
“So Envy, Wrath and Lust are the only fully grown adults?”
Raven nods.
“So-”
Red lights swallow up the common room. Raven curses, quickly using her powers to string fragments of crystals around her teammates' necks.
“We don’t have time. Remember, the goal is to get them in crystal cages.”

So I've been really into interactive fiction for a long while and I've finally decided to showcase my various MC(s) over different IFs.
(Who I may have incorporated from my OCs from a series (or at least a universe) I'm working on😌)
Picture made by Picrew (https://picrew.me/image_maker/625951)
This MC is based in Triaina Academy by @leo-interactive-fiction
WARNING: This post is long and doesn't have proper capitalisation at times
*looks at the camera* "This is boring, can I please do something else?"
File: #01 : Triaina Academy
Date of recording:*Data Corrupted*
Interviewee: Melody "Mai" Razor
---------------------PARTICULARS-------------------
Appearance: Hazel eyes that look like topaz in bright light and black hair that reach her shoulders. Wears a pair of red glasses and has a mole below her left eye.
Power: Blood manipulation
Description: Seemingly obedient as first, she'll roll along to anything that happens until it starts to inconvenience her or she gets bored. After that it'll be a 50/50 chance she'll start to mess around or just deviate and do something else entirely.
Doesn't trust easily, but loves to mess around with people by teasing them playfully after warming up to them.
Likes to act like she's running on a single brain cell 24/7, has a habit of running around aimlessly and just exploring places that seem interesting.
She took on the name of "Mai" to abandon her past and start anew. She'll grow to letting go of her abandonment issues and let extremely close friends of use her actual name after a long while.
---------------------VIDEO CUTS---------------------
*The following words appear on the screen: "What do you think about..."*
Emil Dobry
"Em's like the little bro I never had. Though, he tends to be a tad bit too naive for my comfort. We're kinda in troublesome times with cutthroats everywhere and I'm kinda worried he might not be able to make the right call when the going gets tough and I'm not there, you know?"
Notes: Her time as the eldest among her fellow sea urchins when young carried over to the present. She feels responsible for Emil and his happiness. Gets him little trinkets she finds from time to time and he is one of the few people she'll happily do favors for, no questions asked. (The other being a baker who gave her bread occasionally in the past)
Robin Vallenford
"Birdie? He seems alright, can't say much from him at first glance, just know he's hiding something. His fights with Em are a great source of entertainment at times, downright childish on others. On hindsight though, he does bring colour to the whole dorm."
*She tilts a head to the side, leaning back and kicking her feet up midair, grinning slyly*
"I think we'll get along juuust fine."
Notes: She seems to be respectful of Robin and interested in knowning him better. Would gladly play a round of cards with him even if she knew she was going to lose.
Vin Wolfe
*She frowns slightly* "I'm gonna be honest, I didn't think much of Sunshine back in the arena. But when he pulled that gun out I think I nearly lost 10 years of my life. But,"
*She stares at the ceiling thoughtfully*
"He doesn't seem to mean any harm, maybe he just has a few things to work off." *Mumbling* "Bet his aim's really good too, might want to see if he'll teach me."
Notes: She doesn't know what to fully make out of Vin, she's a little put off by the commander title (she's not used to commanding other people at all. She's prefers to operate independently). More than happy to teach him what she knows about academics. Notes to herself to keep an eye out for his sake.
Calls Vin "Sunshine" (at least in her head).
Leah Scio
*Her eyes light up* "Bluejay? She's really pretty and nice, quiet though. She's also pretty much the only other person I know that wears glasses and I think she reads alot! I'd really like to see her collection sometime. She's like Em, but doesn't appear to be naive. Actually, now that I think about it, I can't really compare those two. It's like oranges and pears you'know? She's definitely smarter, and less emotional when there's thinking to be done."
Notes: She enjoys Leah's company and wants to learn from her. One of the very few people she cares about that she goes easy on when fighting (she feels really bad hurting them). Calls her "Bluejay".
---------------------VIDEO CUTS---------------------
*Reading through a folder that has the word "CONFIDENTIAL" on its front* "Ooooo"
*A rough voice can be heard from behind the camera* "Woi, who gave that to 'er? Someone take it away!"
*The folder gets swipped out of her hands from a passer-by* "Wha-Hey! What gives-oh"
*she glances behind the camera and readjusts her voice, flashing a sheepish grin*
"Sorry, got a little distracted there, shall we continue?"
---------------------------------------------------------
Pierce Crater
"Firecracker? Well I don't really have much to say about him that he himself isn't already making obvious."
*She brings a hand up to her chin, posing in mock contemplation*
"He swears alot, jumps to conclusions, and is really prone to resorting to violence to solve his problems. He would honestly make a terrible diplomat."
*She pauses for a few moments, her eyes go distant*
"Though he does seem to put his best into the many things I've seen him do. His position as a representative might be saying something about his leadership...and he is really easy to embarrass...wonder how he fights...?"
Notes: Her attitude towards Pierce seems to change to somewhat more reasonable and surprisingly more careful, a stark contrast to her more playful and nonchalant interactions to her own dormmates. She doesn't seem to trust him much, but she also doesn't realise herself hanging around him more.
Unfortunately for Pierce (or "Firecracker") , she also seems to be increasingly curious about him after this interview. Granted, this was bound to happen sooner than later.
Matthew Crater
*She squints, a faraway look in her eyes*
"Snowflake's a strange one, never really met anyone who passes out so frequently. He's a cute one though, gonna be honest. Friendly too, other than that though, don't really know much else."
Notes: Amicable with Matthew (Nicknamed: "Snowflake"), she doesn't seem to understand much about his...suggestions to wake up. Most likely will nap with him if she catches his sleeping during a break.
Raven
*Her posture tenses slightly, before quickly relaxing*
"Bubbles'...alright. Honestly I'm more surprised by myself for not getting more freaked out. She unpredictable, and smarter than she lets on."
*She shrugs*
"Needs to calm the homocidal vibes though, I'd be more worried about Em when he's around her."
Notes: Slightly unsettled by Raven's (Nickname: "Bubbles") clinginess to her. She is curious on Raven's interest in her, but also slightly wary of what she could do.
Snipper of Scorpion’s Den
*Her smile grows into a wide Chesire-like grin*
"Ah, finally! Snip's unlike the other lot in the academy. Just met 'er and I already love 'er to bits. Not one to detect social cues though, and is a little too loud at times."
*she winks at the camera* "Trust me when I tell ya that if you were to leave us alone for even 2 seconds, and we'll paint the town red."
Notes: She'll never admit it, but Snipper reminds her a little like her old friends on the street, before she found a roof over her head. She misses them, the people who shaped her and that she'll never see again, making the times she and Snipper hang out sometimes slightly more melancholic.
Outside that though, she's more than willing to watch Snipper testing on something or just working on Sandy.
Fray De Forêt
*She bites her lip, giving a wistful smile*
"Liliac's alright, I don't hate her, she's just a little bit of a snob. Then again, I've never really talked to nobility before, so maybe I should save the judgement for later."
*She stops and smiles slightly at the ceiling*
"Though, she does have a certain respect for nature. I can understand that. The forests hide so many secrets and animals, what's not to love about it?"
Note: She's doesn't really have many feelings towards Fray( Nicknamed: "Liliac"), though she respects her power. She'll listen to her demands and maaaybe oblige them, but she'll be damned if she gives Fray full control over her.
-------------Video freezes, a static of the TV hums, before the screen cuts off into darkness------------
---------------------VIDEO ENDS---------------------

OS: Lost a friend
Idea by: My muse @ticklikeabomb
Pairing: Chris Evans x Plus sized reader
Summary: You thought that Chris appreciated you, but you were wrong
Warning(s): crying
Word count:< 1,5k
Picture(s) found on: Pinterest/Google
“Can I be honest for a second?”
Is what you heard while inhaling softly, gently closing the door to Chris’s apartment with a small smile resting on your face. Hearing his voice always eased your tensed body and sent a rush of tingles down your spine. You were happy that he was home while sneaking into his apartment. You just had gotten off work and decided to surprise him with his favorite snacks and a list of movies available on Netflix, ready to be watched.
You turned around on the tip of your toes and swiftly looked around the actor’s apartment, realizing that his voice was coming from his bedroom, the door being wide open. Your heart skipped a beat when you saw Dodger walk out of the bedroom, his tail wiggling in excitement once he saw you walking over to the living room area and dropping the bag of snacks on the small coffee table.
“Hey Dodger!” you whispered while petting his head as he had rushed over to you, you loved that dog to pieces. The thought of being able to relax with him and Chris on the couch…and maybe finally having the courage to tell the actor about your romantic feelings for him made your stomach churn in excitement and a little discomfort. You’ve never mastered the art of confessing your love.
You and Chris had been friends for a few years now, it didn’t take you long to fall in love with him. But the unfortunate part was that whenever you wanted to tell him how you felt, the actor got together with someone else. To have him gush about his girlfriends or crushes, pained your heart. It was always hard putting up a fake smile or pretending to be thrilled and excited for him while all you wanted to do was kiss him and show him that you were the one worthy of his love and affection.
But that was unfortunately a dream that hadn’t come true, yet.
“Let’s get comfortable” you mumbled to yourself while shaking your head, not wanting to dive into the memories of Chris gushing about the women he was in love and attracted to. He just had gotten out of a relationship, and still was mourning it a little. It was mean to admit that you were glad that him and his now ex didn’t work out as they were just too different from one another. The relationship was dysfunctional from the get go, but Chris didn’t want to let go due to the fact that his attraction just kept growing, despite the obvious red flags being present at every moment he spent with his ex-girlfriend.
A soft sigh left your lips while you removed your jacket and dropped it on the couch, tiptoeing your way to Chris’s bedroom and ready to give him a good scare before trying to convince him to the movie evening you had planned ahead.
Dodger was hot on your tail when you arrived at the actor’s bedroom, the door being wide open and seeing him sitting at the edge of the bed while facing the window, his back turned to you.
“It’s just that, ugh” a frustrated sigh left his lips while his shoulders tensed up. Your stomach churned in discomfort as you had to stop yourself from rushing over to your crush and give him a soothing shoulder massage. He held his phone to his ear while running a hand through his hair, clearing his throat before continuing.
“[Y/N] just has been so clingy lately and I don’t know how to tell her to cool it down. Like she’s always been this way since I met her but I really feel like she’s suffocating me…”
Crack.
That was the sound of your heart breaking in your chest, crumbling into tiny pieces while the soft smile that had been resting on your face slowly turned into upside down. Tears immediately filled your eyes and made your vision blurry while you tried to understand why Chris had said that about you.
He let out another sigh, still not knowing about your presence before continuing to vent into his phone.
“I think she needs to find herself a boyfriend, someone who would actually appreciate and enjoy her clinginess because I’m read to snap at her and tell her to leave me alone. I need space from her, bro”.
You hadn’t realized that the tears already had cascaded down your cheeks while you cleared your throat and watched Chris jump and turn around, gasping before ending the call without a further word.
He quickly got up and walked over to you, regret instantly washing over his face while he stared at yours that was drenched with salty tears. “[Y/N]…” was all he was able to whisper, feeling so bad that you had to hear him talk all this shit about you, and still being fucking oblivious to the reason why you were clingier than usual.
“Save it” is all you croaked out, realizing that Chris didn’t deserve to know the truth about your feelings for him. He didn’t appreciate you as a friend so why the hell would he want you as his girlfriend? It was clear that the two of you weren’t bound to last as a couple, so with that sad realization, you turned around and rushed to the living room.
“[Y/N], please wait!” Chris called out behind you but you shook your head and quickly got your jacket from the couch and then made your way to the front door, your heart aching heavily in your chest and your day ruined. You didn’t bother to look back at the actor while opening the door and leaving his apartment with a broken heart.
~~
“She looks happy…” Chris muttered while staring at the recent picture you had posted on Instagram. It was of you and your boyfriend, Owen. The two of you had been dating for nine months and he was the best thing that had happened to you.
The bright smile on your face could make the sun jealous for beaming so beautifully. You hadn’t bothered to add a caption to the picture of you and your love, you just had wanted to share your happiness with the world. And the world appreciated it deeply, only poor Chris was in his feelings.
It had been a year since you had caught him talking trash about you and walk out of his apartment. He called you countless of times and left you many messages to which you never responded. He was confused to why you didn’t give him a chance to explain himself, the stupid bastard still couldn’t put two and two together and realize why his words had affected you so much.
It was Scott who had to break the news to him and then watch in disappointment how Chris just sat there, confused as hell and in denial of what just had been told him. It actually took his a few days to swallow the huge pill and finally understand your behavior throughout your friendship.
That only added more to the guilt he already was drowning in, but it increased his determination in reconciling with you and making sure that your feelings were being acknowledged.
But things never went his way as you had cut him off and moved on, not wanting to ever be friends with the actor again. The pain he had inflicted to your heart had almost been impossible to get over, but you eventually did. And then you met your now boyfriend and his love and affection made you forget about the heartbreak.
“Chris, just accept the fact that it’s over. You gotta let her go, man” Scott spoke while watching his brother frown down at the picture of you. He softly shook his head before taking a quick sip of his beer, tuning out the people and music at the bar they were currently at.
“But I want her to know that I’m sorry” the actor sighed and closed his browser app, then quickly tapped on the messaging app and on your contact.
“I’m sure she knows, but wasn’t in the right mindset to let you explain yourself” Scott said, feeling bad for his brother but fully understanding your point of view as he had been through the same thing with his ex-friend and crush.
“Let her go, bro” he repeated himself to which Chris closed his eyes for a few seconds and slowly nodded his head. It pained his heart to know that you never wanted to talk to him again, but knew that you had every right to feel the way you did.
So, with a heavy sigh, he started typing away while softly biting down onto his lower lip.
I just want you to know that it was never my intention to hurt you. I hope he loves you with his whole heart and soul because you deserve nothing but the best. If you ever need me, I’ll be here waiting for you, if not, then know that I’ll always love and appreciate you, [Y/N].
Read at 6:3 p.m.
Chris locked his phone and felt himself close to tears as you had read his message, but again didn’t bother to answer. This wasn’t the closure he had hoped for, but knew that it wasn’t worth dwelling on as he already was a forgotten character in your life, but you not in his.

So... Today is my Frank's birthday. Yes it is May 1st deal with it. BUT, here we are again with MORE of the Frank Brothers! I told myself I was gonna do this cuz it would be nice and I'm finding myself liking this AU. So James belongs to (again~) @franks-mixtape! As for the Julie (same one from the previous one) that one belongs to my bf. So.. Happy Birthday to my boy, big ol’ boofer you are. And Luke I tried to make sure I still got a mellow raven tone right cuz hi I haven’t been writing in a while.
NOTE!!!! This would take place after the valentine’s fic. So meaning that Fenik and James met in 1995 which carried onto 1996 (year in-game legion disappeared). As for the first wolf bros fic, that one was like.. an in the middle thing. So yeah.
Warning(s): cursing, teenager stuff lol
Don’t forget to like, reblog, and follow if ya wanna see more! (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤
-
Due to a teacher, the pack of Fairview knew about one of Frank's birthdays. On January 18th on a Thursday, the teacher for physics during roll call had briefly announced it when he called out James’s name. This information was quick to be relayed, since Joey was there in the class to hear Julie, Susie, and the other Frank, Fenik as his middle name goes.
Good on Fenik’s part for having a free period since he was quick to leave the school and hurried off to see about something simple to get his brother. Though... Any sort of gift or a word of cheer was met with hostility and retaliation. Of course, this worried the hell out of the three. Fenik only knew about what really happened and as to why his brother hated his own birthday a few days later when the raven-haired teen came stumbling to his brother’s home drunk off his ass and told the whole story.
Damn near broke the russet-haired Morrison’s heart at it...
Fast-forward to March. It was something about after valentine’s that Julie wondered about Fenik’s birthday, and had brought up this thought to his brother, Joey, and Susie. James was quick to be against it and said to drop it with a snap. He may not know what horrors his other half went through, but Fenik’s been the wolf the longest and had yet to ever snap. And he didn’t want to risk that. The last thing he honestly wanted (but never admitted) was for there to be a fight and for any of them to be hurt or worse, killed.
Of course, it brought on determination to mix with curiosity. Which was a bad mix when it comes to Julie since she went over to the russet-haired teen's foster home. Her last class was a free period, so it made it easy to get up and leave without really sticking around. Since it's most likely the couple has his papers upon fostering, it would have his date of birth on it.
"So... He's a May baby?"
"That's right. And on the first, no less," Audrey responded with a nod. A look crossed her face, then the woman turned to look at the young girl. "Do you think he wants to do anything for his birthday? With what he's been through, I think it would be nice."
Julie casted her eyes to the side, brown orbs focusing on a cross country trophy with a figure in a running position with the words '2nd Place: Fairview' engraved at the bottom.
"His brother says it would be a bad idea to do anything after what happened on his birthday."
"You mean, the other Frank? His half brother?"
"Mhm. He doesn't know what would happen if we do something for him. Though, I do agree since raven head threw a big fit on his birthday. Frank knows what happened, but hasn't told us."
Audrey nodded in understanding. Seeing as the two have the same father, of course, they would confide in each other. She does remember back in January that night when she went to check on the (unknowingly) wolf, that she saw the two in Fenik's bed. Amber eyes had looked over with a gesture for her to be silent. From what she could see of the passed-out teenager, was that he smelt of alcohol and just barely could see cheeks stained with tears.
"Then... How about a gift?"
That made Julie think. She wouldn't really know what he would want seeing as there's quite a bit he keeps to himself and or only shares with James. So she just shrugged. At least they have till May to think it over.
-
May 1st was only about a week away. The pack had about a full month to plan on what to do. Even though it was on a Wednesday, the weekend could be used up for the group. Despite his best efforts with telling them it's a bad idea, James caved and (reluctantly) agreed to help out to see what things caught his brother's eye.
So far, nothing. But, the raven-haired 19-year-old, on his first hunt, noticed something about the russet-haired teen. It was after they took down a moose, how Fenik managed to detach the head with a snap of the spine and the sickening ripping sound of flesh and muscles. James had... no idea how much blood was truly on the both of them till Fenik shifted back.
Blood covered his mouth and chin, running down his neck to his shirt under his jacket. And his hands were *drenched* from biting and attacking the moose. Back to the point, the black pelted wolf watched how the skin on the head was cut off with a knife the other had stowed away. It clicked that way. Bones/Skulls were of his interest with how he was careful with it and set it up against a tree.
"Whatcha doin' there fuzz butt?"
"Ideas are needed. Plus, gotta draw out your first hunting band! You're a Morrison, brother. And, maybe, if you'd like. A new skull. I'm thinkin' flesh hanging off the antlers."
"That's... bitchin. But, for another day. I'm cool with the band."
Fenik nodded, then finished what he was doing before shifting back and headed back over to his brother. It did surprise James when the rust-colored wolf took a big ol' bite out of the carcass and *swallowed* it down. He decided not to make a comment and tried it out himself. Weird how as a wolf the taste of raw meats doesn't taste so bad.
-
Since the days have gotten warmer with summer coming, clothes were lighter so no one overheated. At lunch, it was clear to the others how relaxed Fenik looked, not minding when his soon-to-be teammates from track & field would come over and pat him on the back to wish him a happy 19th and some even gave him 10 or 5 bucks (10 = about 8. 5 = about 4). He didn't mind *that* part one bit.
When school was out, the pack stood outside the steps as per usual. Well, except Joey till he did hop down the steps with a pretty big grin on his face. This made the two Morrisons and Julie look over with a raised brow.
"Somethin' up, Joe?"
"Yup! So, ya know how you told us you and raven head here went on his first hunt, yeah?"
Fenik nodded slowly, suspicious of what the tallest of their group was going on about. He heard his brother sigh in his head and go on about how he tried to tell them not to. "Yeaaaah?"
"And ya got all those tattoos n such, right?"
"Joey... What did you do."
The 18-year-old smiled and took off his backpack. Opening it, he withdrew a bag (that he most likely stashed in his locker) and handed it over. The russet-haired teen blinked as he took it, peaking in with amber eyes. Reaching in, he withdrew a box no bigger than the length of his forearm.
"A stick n poke?"
"Yeah! Well, we know that you do pretty well in art and that from some of the stuff you've shown us, you do all those dots that create really cool images."
"Stipple. That's what the media is called."
"Yeah, th-"
"JOEY YOU DIDN'T WAIT FOR ME!"
Susie came running down the steps with what looks like a book in her hand that she's waving about. Turns out the book was a sketchbook. At first, there was a slow build of concern and worry with how quiet he is, that is till they all felt a wave of sadness mixed with happiness. Hearing Fenik sniffle with a smile on his face was something.
"Sorry ah... I've.. never really celebrated my birthday. Always thought of it as bad since I was put in the system a day before my birthday. And.. all the others after that in every home, they just took the extra money I was supposed to get every May."
He ended it by muttering how the families thought it was bonus money. There were shared looks at that. Put in the system before turning 8. Ouch... James then leaned onto his brother's side, feeling him lean back. He isn't good with words, but as they say, actions speak louder than words.
After that exchange was done, the five all went home. Even after that day, Fenik was a bit snide on the fact that the other two didn't really get him anything. But, maybe Joey just had a higher knowledge? Though that didn't seem right, James did know about it as well.
The silence that followed didn't make any sense till Friday.
When the russet-haired teen got home, he was confused. One moment James hurried off to his house, then the next moment he was at the door of his house with his backpack.
"Bro, what the hell are you doin?"
"Waiting on you, and the others."
"Others?"
James just motioned for him to open the door, when he did, his parents were there waiting with bags of what he could tell is camping gear.
"Uh... What is going on?"
Mitch looked up upon hearing the teen and stood there proudly with a smile on his face as he gestured to the two big bags that hold two separate tents, rolled up sleeping bags, bags that probably have food and blankets, and other things.
"When was the last time you've been camping?"
"Uh... Six years ago? I think? Why?"
"We thought it would be nice to go down to the lake. Minnewanka to be exact," Audrey exclaimed with a smile. James let out a snort of a laugh from behind at the name, which the woman ignored before turning her attention to the people that walked up to the door.
"And we thought it would be nice to bring your friends and your brother! That's why they have their bags for the weekend."
Fenik turned his head to look over his shoulder to see Susie, Joey, and Julie there with what were their backpacks that were once full of school supplies, but now hold clothing. It took a moment for him to put the pieces together and his eyes widened.
"Wait, is this for my birthday?"
The six people in the room all smiled with nods of their heads. This made him get excited and rushed over to the stairs and his steps thundered as he ran up to his room. The raven-haired teen went up after the silence that followed after his other half left, wanting to avoid the awkward standing without knowing what to say.
-
The trip was long, but the weather made up for it. Susie, Joey, and Julie were in the backseat, mainly because the brothers insisted since they wanna sit in the truck bed. Honestly, the happiness that radiated from both was astounding considering the many shit foster homes they had.
It was Fenik who insisted that they howl out along the ride, mainly to be idiots in his excitement but, as far as he knows James probably hasn't tried to before. The sound though, was loud when conjoined from the two. Joey ended up sticking his head out to do it as well, Susie had turned down her hearing aid to make it easier to join in from her head coming out of the back window. Julie just chuckled with a roll of her eyes with Mitch and Audrey.
Upon getting there, a spot was reserved for them marked in outdoor safe spray paint. What was odd was how it was marked F.J. Fenik looked to the two adults, assuming it was a way to mark as him and Julie, that was till they looked at James with worried yet hopefully glances.
"We thought it would be nice to celebrate both your birthdays. From when I last saw you, James. You passed out in your brother's arms and looked like you've been crying."
There was a visible flinch from the raven-haired teen at that. He did remember getting drunk and stumbling to the other's home. He couldn't remember all that he said in his drunken stupor, but he did remember that he mentioned why he hates his own birthday. It clicked in his head right there and he stared at the two adults before muttering a low: "Why..."
"We may not know the reason why, and we know we were told to not do anything for you in the future but..."
"What the old bag is trying to say is, why not knock out two birds with one stone in the best way possible. At least y'all can go out and let all the crazies inside, out."
Green eyes sought out to hopefully lock with amber eyes, and they did, but it felt like there was a gentle coax in James's mind.
*'Ya might as well go with it. They ain't easy with "no" for an answer. But, they mean well. Honest.'*
The 19-year-old looked back at the two adults who were scolding each other from Mitch calling Audrey an 'old bag.' Looking down to the marker, he toed at it before letting out a sigh.
"Alright. But just this once. No more shit after it," He concluded. That caught the two's attention, but they nodded in understanding. For the rest of the time till dinner, they set up the two tents. One for the adults, the other for the teenagers. It was nice that a grill was there since hamburgers, salmon, and what other things they brought in cans were cooked.
It was Susie who declared that any gifts that were brought were to be given. She ended up giving Fenik a scarf she made, an infinity scarf that's a big circle. Course, he put that on. The one from Julie was... Questionable. It was a collar and a leash which promoted James to point and cackle like a mad man.
"AWW YOU GONNA TAKE YOUR WITTLE PUBBY OUT FOR WALKIES!!" He wheezed out, just howling with laughter before yelping when his brother had taken the leash and snapped it like what people do with belts. As a joke (they both know), the younger of the two chased after the eldest yelling about tying him up to a tree. The adults didn't get it, but the teenagers did and Joey fell down from wheezing so much.
When it all calmed down, Fenik yelped at a toy hitting his head and plopping onto the ground. A *squeaky* toy. He just glared at his brother who snickered, making the joke about the collar and leash worse. He muttered a 'thanks' to it before stopping at feeling something plush be placed on his head. He let it land in his lap to see a folded up plaid blanket, blue and red in color with its usual mixed colored squares when it comes to two colors. Thick in material too, meant to keep one warm.
*'It's not every night we get to run around the forest like some shitty dystopian forest novel, so I thought why not get something that'll ease ya when we're apart.'*
Fenik brought it up to his face to rub his face on it, but the fact that it was practically coated in James's scent honestly did bring him comfort that he kinda just... sat there with his face in it silently before lifting his face up with a smile on it. It was easy to tell that he's pleased about it.
-
Did they go night swimming? Yes. There was a bit of daylight left so it made swimming perfect for the teenagers as they did their best to not be so loud to disturb other sleeping campers. Of course they couldn't help the squeaks and yelps that were let out from falling in and water being splashed. Joey ended up calling it good and declared he's heading back to dry off and sleep. Susie followed after. Julie did as well, after wishing the both of them 'Happy Birthday' and kissing the both of them on the cheek.
It left the two Morrisons there on the shoreline, sitting there gazing out as the last bit of light faded and allowed for their eyes to adjust and adapt to the dark. Fenik went over to the lump that is his towel and unrolled it to pull out his newly acquired blanket, only to see a little box plop out. Confused, he picked it up as he headed over to his brother and sat down to drape the blanket over the both of them.
Before he could even ask, James nudged him to open it. He didn't press on but listened and ended up withdrawing a cord necklace tied around what looks like a tip of an antler. It was engraved too with what appears to be a half of a wolf face, but the lines were dyed green. That's when he noticed another one with the other half of the face and lines dyed red.
The raven-haired teen took both. The one with the red lines he put on around his neck, then fitted the one with the green lines around his brother's neck. A matching set, but the one the russet-haired one had was bigger, until it clicked as to why.
"Remember that box ya showed me of those pieces of bones you've collected or snapped off?" When Fenik nodded as a response, he kept going. "I took the tip from that moose we took down, then this one that I have from the deer you told me you hunted. So I thought, why the hell not?"
"And you made a matching set out of them... Thank you..."
James nodded with a half smile, then his eyes followed as his brother stood up. He did the same and shifted after Fenik did. Compared to the walking hellfire the rusted colored wolf is, he's a shadow with orbs to lure in those that are unsuspecting. Together, it was just two big overgrown dogs that caused chaos like puppies.

Day 50
100 Days of 100 Prompts
(Another fix it/time travel idea) Octavia ended up in the past after being sucked into the anomaly and Bellarke go after her. Bellamy wakes up on the dropship just as they land. He’s confused, kind of freaking out but still goes to the lever. The deja vu makes him turn to look for Clarke who had told him to stop the last time. His eyes found her right at the front of the crowd and he cocked his head at her. She grinned at him but still didn’t say anything and he felt his lips quirk up, “Not gonna say it this time?” He asked her. She shrugs at him and cheekily replies, “If the air’s toxic we’re all dead anyway, right?” He shakes his head in amusement and then hears Octavia call his name. He looks over to find her looking back and forth between him and Clarke but she doesn’t rush him in a hug like last time. He isn’t sure which version of his sister this is but tentatively asks, “You alright there O?” She smiles, “Just been waiting on you guys to finally show up. Bilaik yu biga bro?” ‘It is you big brother?’ She asked. “Sha, Strisis, bilaik ai.” ‘Yes, little sister, It’s me.’ With that she cried out in happiness and ran to hug him before looking over at Clarke. “Sha, ai seintaim.” ‘Yea, me too’ She said with a grin and Octavia launched herself into her arms too. She might never have been very close with Clarke before but after being stuck in the past alone for so long, she’d take who she could get. Besides, she knew by now that where her brother went, Clarke would inevitably follow. Better her than the spy. Some kids tell them to hurry up and knock it off with the babble so O turns to put them in their place saying the line she used the first time and then Bellamy pulls the lever and O steps foot on Earth. Later they’ll try to figure out what happened, why the anomaly sent them here, how it’s possible. They’ll wonder if they can change anything and how that will affect the future. They are in their younger bodies so they don’t have to worry about erasing themselves out of the time line at least. They argue a plan for days while getting the camp set up back to it’s previous ‘glory’. Bellamy uses his power of speech to get everyone motivated about being free and independent and they pretty much all fall in line. He keeps an eye on Murphy to stop him from being too big of a dick and has a talk with Charlotte. Clarke makes nice with Wells and stays well away from Finn. Octavia however just keeps watching the trees when she isn’t crafting a makeshift blade out of scrap metal. She’s waiting for any sign of Lincoln. They never attempt to go to mount weather. They stick to their area and only venture out to hunt, gather, and collect water. They get the supplies from the bunkers they already know about. They have plenty of guns and ammo this time after looking harder and finding the ones Kane said they missed. Clarke makes sure to grab the pencils and anything else useful from the ‘art supply store’ bunker as well. They still take off their wristbands to make sure Raven comes down but they use her radio to contact the ark asap. The culling never happens. Bellamy gives up every name he knows involved in the resistance. He says he wasn’t part of it, that they used him by holding his sister as bait and he was just trying to protect her. It gains him a pardon. Clarke tells her mom about the people in mount weather, how they are hostile. She pretends she saw them in suits with guns in the woods. She tells them about the grounders and how they are wary but not completely unreasonable. Perhaps she even tries to talk with them before that. She goes into the woods and says “Ai laik Klark kom Skaikru. Beja, teik ai gon oyo heda.” ‘I am Clarke of the Sky People. Please, take me to your leader.’ She gets dragged off to Anya who asks why she shouldn’t just kill her now and be done with it. Clarke will tell her she can help her against the mountain men, that she knows their tech and how to get around it, she can cure the reapers. Indra calls her a liar. Anya however looks like shes considering it but wants to know how Clarke knows so much, their language, their enemies, how to defeat them, after only being on the ground for so short a time. Clarke will tell her that she’ll explain once there is some mutual trust between them but for now it’s enough that she DOES know. Anya will ask why she should trust her and Clarke will shrug and say they haven’t attacked yet, despite the knowledge and weapons to do so, that she just wants to be allies, have peace between them. (Maybe try to figure out the translation for ‘I’d like to speak to your leader’ instead. ‘Eake me to your leader’ just reminds me of aliens lol) So they have a truce for now and Lexa might come down to assess them. Sydney and her shitheads are mostly taken care of. The ark will send the exodus which frees up some oxygen for the rest. They can survive a little longer now. They check radiation levels and figure out how much time they have till the death wave and start making plans. The oxygenator they found in the lighthouse wont work for the whole ark but it will definitively help. Should they even bother with the mountain at this point? Maybe they can make a deal with them since they don’t know about the death wave. They need grounders to survive, to filter the radiation they get exposed to at times but the grounders are all about to go underground themselves. So if the mountain takes in an equal number of Skaikru (so neither party has the upper hand and kills off the other) then Skaikru will donate blood/marrow for the living space for 5 years. There’s too much animosity with the grounders so it’d have to be Skaikru. There would also be plenty of Skaikru members left to help run the bunker in Polis. Perhaps Clarke even gets her mother to make night blood before coming down and injects it into the people willing to ride it out topside. They can stay in Becca’s lab for the wave itself and then make their way to the valley or just be in the valley to start with since Madi survived there just fine. They could try to round up some animals to keep sheltered and see if they survive the radiation and gather up plenty of seeds or transplant things not in the area. They can get a nice village going, have enough people to free the polis bunker (after warning them of the soybean failure and giving them Monty’s algae recipe. Fuck omon gon oson) and be ready for when Eligius arrives. Clarke will go out with Bellamy and just shout ‘Welcome!’ at them while waving with a basket of food. She will look so inviting that Diyoza forces the others to lower their weapons as she goes to talk to her. (because im naive enough to believe that will work because everyone wants peace lol) Clarke and Bellamy will tell them they can stay if they behave, that this is a peaceful valley BUT jus drein jus daun. That means McCreary is gonna get killed real fast, along with a few other violent criminals. Perhaps Diyoza will even tell them who to keep an eye on because all she wants to do is raise her baby girl in peace and fuck the drama. Clarke and Bellamy are the unofficial leaders here. Lexa is still in Polis where some of the grounders and Skaikru have decided to remain and rebuild since they have the farm in the bunker and Monty’s algae for the soil. But, if Lexa never died then we don’t get Wonkru. Perhaps they stay traditional in the bunker with the different clans. But the valley would end up becoming wonkru, ironically. Perhaps thats one reason the others stick close to polis instead, they prefer the tradition of the clans and coalition to the more relaxed family feel of the valley. Though it’d be fun if Roan made an appearance, maybe he can retire down to the valley for a while. Anywho. Bellarke and Linctavia live HEA

Sharon looked at the woman next to her. She was just standing there peacefully, watching the silent paradise that was created for them. She felt so lucky and so important, and also relieved, that she didn't have to spend another century in heaven.
The woman next to her, on the other hand, seemed to be slightly bored and annoyed. Her emerald eyes were missing the spark they had before. She could no longer see the devil in her. Sharon wasn't even sure how she felt about that discovery. Still, she was breathtakingly beautiful.
The angel did not dare to say a word. Of course she wanted to know what was bothering the black haired muse that was right next to her, but she was too scared and also aware of the fact that she could burn her angel wings to dust just by snapping her fingers, if she wanted to.
Finally, Sharon decided to say something, because getting set on fire by a beautiful, hot as Hell demon still felt like a better choice than standing here and watching basically nothing for eternity.
“So this is what we got, our paradise, huh?”
“Yeah,” the demon said and looked to the ground. She could feel the angel’s chocolate eyes all over her body. What were her intentions? Did she have feelings for her? Are angels even supposed to have feelings? She had so many questions that she was too afraid to ask. Also, she had her own problems. Such as having to spend a long time with a slightly boring, too polite to be fun angel.
“Do you like wine?” Tarja asked. She decided to at least try to have some fun on this empty planet, which definitely wasn't the paradise the other brunette was talking about previously.
“Hell yeah!” the angel answered and covered her mouth with her hand as she realized that she said the forbidden word. The black haired demon just rolled her eyes and cursed, because she realized that they don't have any wine on this planet. She inhaled and exhaled deeply to calm herself down, and then cursed again because it didn't work.
The other brunette watched Tarja carefully, feeling her pain. She would love to help her, but had no idea how. Making their own wine would take forever and who knows how it would end up.
“Give us wine, God, right now, please, she is gonna kill me and drink my blood instead, I swear, I can see it in her eyes, please, have mercy bro…” Sharon tried to sound as frustrated as possible, although she just started really having fun. This felt like nothing she ever experienced before. She was really excited to dive deeper and discover more.
Although it didn't seem very likely, after a few seconds of awkward silence, three ravens brought them a bottle of red wine and two glasses. Sharon opened the bottle and reached out for the glasses, but Tarja was faster, stealing the wine from her and drinking it right from the bottle. A lot of it. The angel could see how she instantly became more relaxed and comfortable in her own skin. But she knew that she couldn't go another hour without alcohol, so she somehow managed to take the bottle from Tarja and drank the remaining liquid herself.
After a few silent minutes of looking at each other, laughing, Tarja straightened her back and looked at Sharon, trying to figure out what is on her mind. Then she decided to say something.
“So, since we're here together, it would be fun to get to know each other, am I right?”
“Yeah, that would be… Uhm yea, you're right.” Tarja could see that Sharon was struggling to make her English work, and she was wondering whether it’s because of the wine or because of her.
“So, may I ask you a question?” Tarja continued
“Yes, go ahead…” The angel was really curious about what she is going to ask and also a little bit scared, because there were things she possibly could ask that even Sharon didn't have an answer for.
“Why were you looking at me like… that… you know, earlier today?”
“Like what? Tarja, sweetie, I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.” Sharon was pretty satisfied with the job she has done in concealing her crush on the demon. Was it a crush? Whatever it was, it confused her a lot and she wasn't exactly proud of it. One thing was sure - she has never felt this way before.
Tarja has never been so confused in her entire life. She didn't know what to say, she didn't even want to say anything, but she felt like she had to. The still of the silence was deafening. She couldn't take it anymore, she felt like she was going to cry, so she started singing instead.
In silence, the darkness speaks again
of a pain that never ends
Tarja started crying. How could she only be so wrong, she thought. Sharon continued singing instead of her.
But it will, cause i'm here still, I forgot
we could be stronger than sin
I used my every doubt to let you in
and this time, out of light, I see everything
The demon finally got her shit together and started singing as well.
It's how you make me breathe at night when I'm feeling small
how you break it down when I'm against the wall
now I know, how the heart can ache,
when the levee breaks and what it takes
for you and I
we fall apart to find the truth is
our love survives
when every missing part of you
makes me wanna cry
for you and I
At this moment, Sharon noticed the other woman's tears. She hugged her.
“I'm sorry Tarja, I'm so sorry, sorry that I lied to you,” the angel said and started crying too
“It's ok, Angel, hush, don't cry, let's have some fun.”
One bottle of wine later, they were both laughing again, sharing fun stories from their homes, Heaven and Hell. After some time, Sharon noticed two people in the forest behind them.
“Looks like Adam and Eve are already here.”
“Yeah, would you excuse me for a second? I have some work to do there,” Tarja said and turned into a black snake with bright green eyes. She crawled towards the people, wrapped herself around Eve’s neck and whispered in her ear.
“Taste that apple. Taste that damn apple.”

3 Times Damian Hated Their Height Difference And 1 Time He Loved It
Summary: Damian hates the height difference between him and Raven but sometimes it might not be so bad.
The height difference between him and Raven never did bother him. Sure sometimes he would be slightly annoyed that she was tall but that's how he felt about literally everyone around him so it didn't count. That's at least until Drake discovered their relationship and had teased him constantly. How Drake had discovered it Damian has yet to find out but he has a suspicion that Logan had told him but he couldn't accuse without solid facts so for now he was stuck not being able to attack anyone.
Anyways, back to Drake. He had made constant height jokes and this time one had struck a nerve.
“So tell me demon, you choose a tall one cause of mommy issues or-” Damian wouldn't have known why Drake would have thought he would date Raven because he had jumped on him before he had a chance.
“Damian! NO!” yelped Dick as he leaped from the couch in the living room and rushed to pry Damian off Tim.
After that incident Drake had stopped making consistent height jokes. Of course he never completely stopped. Sometimes when he was feeling extra spiteful he would make one but he never crossed the line by bringing in Damian's mother.
That was as best as things were going to get.
Damian had decided he wanted to take Raven out to the mall so she could spend the Wayne fortune as she desired for a date. Of course she had protested immediately but he wasn't the son of Bruce Wayne and Talia Al Ghul without a reason. It had taken a little pleading but she had finally allowed it and they were currently in a small cafe, taking a small break.
They were enjoying some cupcakes that Raven had forced him to try when their day went south. A tall, blond guy with bright blue eyes had approached their table, a group of guys behind him, and the look on his face immediately made Damian on edge and when he shot a lazy smirk at Raven Damian had to hold himself from stabbing the imbecile with a fork.
“Hey, baby.” his voice was deep and suited his muscular body. Damian couldn't quite help the jealousy rising.
“Bye, asshole.” she replied immediately after only giving a fraction of a seconds worth of attention before immediately turning back to Damian. Damian felt a flare of happiness go off in his chest but it disappeared when the imbecile still hadn't left.
“Oh come on, baby.” he pouted before he immediately smirked again, leaning over her. Raven leaned back and his face scrunched slightly in anger. “I can show you a good time. Better than whatever thi dweeb is showing you.” he said cruelly, turning to look Damian up and down letting out a slight scoff indignation rose in Damian and before he could attack him he felt a calming presence take and a voice spoke in his mind.
‘Don't worry. I can handle it.’
“I said no. Come on Damian. Let's go. Call your limo driver. We're leaving!” she declared dramatically and he saw the other boy pale. Apparently he had finally realised who Damian was.
Damian didn't say anything. He just picked up the cupcake, called over a waiter, paid for their meal and stood up with Raven. He held out his arm and she took it before practically dragging him away. He could distinctly hear laughter behind them and he ducked his head in shame.
He's supposed to be able to do this. He's supposed to protect Raven. He's supposed to-
“You're not supposed to do anything honey. I love you no matter what.” said his pale lover before leaning down to peck his cheek. Damian didn't say anything. Just leaned into the girl's embrace.
If you accused Damian of using sparring sessions against Garfield he wouldn't deny it. He didn't think he could come up with a convincing enough lie anyway.
This time he was being extra brutal towards Gar and Gar couldn't deny that this time he did deserve it. That didn't mean he wasn't going to complain about it.
“Ow, common dude! I just asked if she- agh!” yelped Gar, barely just ducking away from a knife that was close to taking off his head.
“How dare you!” Damian hissed, anger and embarrassment clear on his face.
“Come on, bro! It was a normal question people ask-” Gar yelped again and jumped away from Damian's sword. He was slowly starting to regret that he had no filter when speaking to the shortest Wayne but he doubted the lesson would stick.
“Don't you dare ask me that again!” hissed Damian, grabbing the front of Gar’s shirt, eyes full of anger and hatred.
“Got it!” squeaked Gar.
Damian quickly got off of Gar before giving him a judging look. “Your form was terrible and if I had been a villian I would have easily been able to kill you. Work better Logan.” he said, scoffing at the end before walking out.
Well that was the last time he was ever going to ask Damian of Raven had ever pegged him.
He couldn't believe it. He couldn't believe that this was happening. If Logan ever found about this he would never hear the end of this.
Those were the thoughts Damian should have been thinking but instead he wondered if the dildo in Ravens hand was going to fit in him.
See, when Raven had noticed her boyfriend on edge she had gone to investigate knowing that he wouldn't tell her himself. In the end after weeks of researching why her boyfriend was on edge she had found out it was because Gar had made a comment about their sexual activities.
Normally, if she had found out he did that she would have stabbed him a million times. But it made her think. And eventually her thinking had led her to buying a strap on.
“Don't worry. It'll fit.” she said, sensing where his thoughts were coming. “If you don't want to do this I-”
“I want this.” he cut her off. He still looked slightly worried but he wasn't lying when he said that he wanted this.
“Good boy. Now, lie down.” she said to Damian. She smirked when she saw him shiver slightly before lying down. She waved her hand and both his and her clothes had vanished, leaving them both as naked as the day they were born.
“Stay still. If you move you won't like the consequences baby boy.” she said huskily.
“Yes, mommy.” he whimpered. Unlike how normally he would hate handing over complete power or control to anyone he was left completely free for Raven.
Raven smirked again before sauntering over to the bedside table and grabbing out a bottle of lube from the drawer. She walked back over to the bed and kneeled over Damian, pale skin contrasting heavily to his darker skin.
“Good boy Damian. Now, continue like this. I don't want you getting hurt honey.” she said.
“He's mommy.”
“Good boy.” she repeated and she saw Damian blushing at the praise. She spread his legs until his small, fluttering pink hole was left in front of her. She couldn't help but admire the twitching gem and brought a hand down to rub at the small opening.
Damian gasped and she could feel the huge effort he was going through as not to buck his hips to meet her fingers. She smiled. He was such a good boy.
She took her hand away and Damian let out a pitiful whine. “Baby. Don't be impatient.” she said sharply.
“Yes mommy.” he said, properly chastised. Raven quickly poured some lube on her hand and she quickly placed her fingers back around Damian's hole.
She took her time fingering him. She would occasionally crook her fingers so she could reach his prostate. Damian continued being a good boy and didn't move as she prepped him.
“You're such a good boy Damian for mommy. Waiting so patiently. Time to give you your reward.” she said.
“Thank you, thank you mommy!” Damian let out a blabbering of thank you’s. He was drooling and cross-eyed from Raven playing around with him while prepping him.
Raven strapped the strap on to her, thankful that she bought one of those dildos that have a vibrater for the person using the strap. Raven lubed up the dildo thoroughly before positioning it in front of Damian's entrance. She looked over at Damian and the only thing she could feel was eagerness. She slowly punched in and Damian let out another loud gasp. If she hadn't been an empath she would have been slightly worried but she could feel how happy Damian was about this.
When Raven finally bottomed out she held still slightly, waiting for Damian to adjust. When she felt him become impatient she started thrusting, failing at hiding a smirk everytime Damian gasped.
Damian was rather disappointed in himself when he came not long after without a hand on his cock but the feeling of shame settled down when Raven came soon after him, rocking into his still sensitive body. He let out a small mewl when she pulled out.
He curled into himself and tried to stop himself from shaking. Raven always made it her mission to make him cum before her and to bring him the highest pleasure.
“You were so good for me, Damian.” she cooed, and Damian felt himself become cleaner and when he finally cracked his eyes open he could no longer see his semen on his stomach. Raven gathered him in her arms and Damian felt himself relax and he soon went lax against her.
“Thank you, beloved.” he said, finally breaking the silence that had settled into the room.
“Any time baby. Also Damian.” she added, lightly gripping his chin to face her. “No matter what anyone ever says I love you how you are and I never want you to change because of some outdated rubbish people still believe in, okay.” and it wasn't a question, it was a statement.
“I-” Damian couldn't continue his sentence and just put his face back on her chest.
“It's okay, baby. And anyway, I think you look pretty.” she added.
“Tt. I love you two” he said. “And I like you being taller than I am. Sometimes. When no one makes a comment about it.”
“I love being taller than you as well. Now get some sleep. You're going to need it.”
“How come?”
“I talked to your dad about you feeling insecure about your height.” Damian started trying to twist out of his lover's hold but she was stronger than what she looked. “Don't worry, he doesn't know anything embarrassing. Anyway, he contacted Big Berda and her husband Scott Free. She's going to have a small chat with Gar and Tim tomorrow.”
And in the quiet night, the laugh of two birds could be heard.

18 and 20 for the meta asks? also I already commented on clip 3 but fr this clip was so good that was such a good execution of that scene and s5 has been so good and literally brightens my day thank u 💛 i hope you’re doing well
hi, thank you so much!!!!!!!! i hope you’re doing well too <3 <3
i am putting a read more because i am a rambley person, but underneath you will find talks of unused plot points, the parallels between the girl squad and the lad squad, and what taylor swift album(s) i believe each season has the vibe of.
tw for discussion of abuse, mental health problems, addiction and eating disorders
18. Do any of your stories have alternative versions? (plotlines that you abandoned, AUs of your own work, different characterisations?) Tell us about them.
skam brighton has. so many aus. because it itself is an au of an original work. me and two of my great writing friends have written a great numbers of aus including but not limited to riordian-verse, glee, doctor who, rwrb, trc, a murder mystery au, and many aus based on comfort media of mine that i started on never finished (house of anubis, barbie movies, etc.). and many of them are unironically so good???? @fingersmithbysarahwaters and @nightwing642 are incredibly talented screenwriters. but also i did write a screenplay adaptations of the first two books in the raven cycle series and 2/3s of rwrb for no reason other than fun and autism.
as for skam brighton. oh boy. not many plot points have been changed, but some certain scenes/character moments were changed. for example, the scene in season 2 episode 8 where liz has a meltdown at the shopping centre and she has a heart to heart with mary was originally liz having a meltdown and running into al in the sensory room. but i wanted to hold back on revealing al as a main character until season 3.
also in the og season 3, jake and al didn’t break up. as i was finishing the season, i was getting ideas for how i wanted the series to develop (james’s crush on al namely) so i thought it would be good for both of their developments for them not to end up together. also in season 3 i hadn’t planned for jake to move house originally, so there was a scene in the finale episode of the lad squad hanging out, but it got cut because it just didn’t make sense.
in season 4, al and bree were a lot meaner to each other originally, because i love it when it gets busy at the brighton and the gay people get mean, but then i thought about it and decided it was out of character for both of them to be downright cruel. al and bree also had a scene in season 4 that was cut due to just not making sense.
also, in season 5, the “inner white girl” scene originally wasn’t in the show at all, but one day i was listening to the song, and about a week before the episode came out, i wrote it. also, bree wasn’t written to be a she/they until literally the day of putting the clip out because i thought it would be cool. that’s it :)
also the way i write is that i write the full clip out in a google doc and then edit it in ao3 about an hour before i put it out, so a lot of changes happen there. just small things, like making dialogue flow better, changing certain songs because i just want to, and sometimes adding in new sequences that i just thought of.
20. Tell us the meta about your writing that you really want to ramble to people about (symbolism you’ve included, character or relationship development that you love, hidden references, callbacks or clues for future scenes?)
oh!!!! there!!!!! is!!!!!
personally, my favourite thing to write is little symbolic moments that make me happy because i play 4d chess in my head with myself every time i write.
before i go off, i must say, so many hints and clues have been dropped for season six so far. season six has been my favourite season to write and i’m already planning a spin-off project based on it to write, and it’s gonna be starting sooner than you think.
so a piece of writing i’ve been thinking about lately is the parallels between the girl squad and the lad squad. before i begin to go off, these are the characters i think parallel each other the most.
jake - sandy james - bree nick - rori theo - esther al - liz
jake and sandy is quite an obvious parallel to draw - both are football players, both begin the series closeted and having a close relationship with bryan - but their personalities are quite similar. both of them are closer with their mother than their father, both use their relationships as a method of protection, and both are afraid of of societal rejection at the beginning of the series. they also both discovered their sexualities and mental health issues over the course of their seasons, and both of their love interests are more outgoing theatre kids. jake and sandy’s relationship is also so interesting to me - because they start as very awkward friends, and jake tries to help sandy by making bryan break up with her, but outs her in the process, and sandy doesn’t want to forgive him. she takes her time and comes to terms with it on her own and decides to forgive him because sandy’s just a sweetheart - and this also parallels the way jake takes his time to forgive his mother. also, in their friend groups, they’re both the newcomer to them, and we get the introductions to the group dynamics in their seasons, and in the later seasons, they’re both a lot more relaxed as they’re in recovery <3
james and bree are also very similar characters. both have problems with substance abuse, both have promiscuous reputations, both have both mommy and daddy issues. they are both dean girls, to put it in spn terms. they’re both very funny, and use humour to cover up their struggles. both are dealing with a lot of mental illness and, throughout the series, it becomes more and more clear. they’re also both seen as “the hot ones” of their groups, with a lot of the characters canonically having small crushes on them (liz, rori and nick with james; rori, esther and annabell with bree). they’ve also both canonically hooked up with sophie. which i just think is fun. they also played mimi and roger together, which i think shows their parallels as addicts and people (with roger struggling with recovery and depression until the end, when he begins to get help, and mimi living the high life until it all crumbles down around her). they also share a want for independence and both are very sana-esque characters (james being middle eastern and religious, bree being the cool rebel girl in season 1).
nick and rori are both the “fun friend”. they’re both comedic relief in the early seasons, but we do get in depth with them as the show goes on. in grease, they play james and bree’s love interests (which is ironic, as rori and bree get together and nick is in love with james), and in rent, they play angel and maureen, the two main comedic relief characters. both of them struggle to connect their asian identity with their british identity, and both struggle with how the world perceives them (nick with their gender presentation and rori with her eating disorder). they both struggle with toxic masculinity and toxic femininity and use humour to cover up their struggles.
theo and esther are similar in the fact that they’re the squad members we know the least about. they’re both jewish, they’re both the mum friend of their respective groups, they’re both autistic and they’re both quite nerdy. they’re the most grounded member of their respective groups and tend to take charge and help make decisions. they’re also both quite sarcastic and very firm in their opinions.
al and liz are parallels simply because they are both nooras and vildes. they’r eboth autistic, they’re both the odd one out in their friend groups - liz being a lot more serious than the girl squad, al being a lot more in his own little world than the lad squad. they’re both very blunt and straight forward and say whatever they’re thinking.
also just some of my favourite bits of foreshadowing: nick being bitchy to liz throughout season 2 because they’re in love with james….. al talking about his sister to jake in season 3 and whenever al talks to the girl squad, bree insults him or walks away…… in season 4 episode 1, audrey mentions bree’s cousin is pregnant and then when bree finds out the results of her pregnancy test, oh no by marina plays (i’m now becoming my own self fulfilling prophecy)....... nick and all of his gender stuff throughout the series……. just all of the character stuff with grease and rent….. also just bree and rori’s whole relationship arc because it has everything. queerbaiting. subverting expectations. musical homoeroticism. a little cheating for fun. and they were best friends. honestly bree and rori season 3 is very august by taylor swift…… you weren’t mine to lose……..
speaking of, no one asked by here’s each season of skambr and the taylor swift albums they’re most like.
season 1 - debut/fearless
bro sandy is just such a debut/fearless era person. she’s looking for her place in this world!!!!!! she has the teardrops on my guitar energy (quite literally sandy pre-canon voice i bet he’s beautiful that boy she talks about and he has everything that i have to live without about bryan and sophie)..... the fun giggly crush songs that are deeply homoerotic….. esther season 1 voice the entirety of you belong with me. like esther really made a deeper connection with sandy in one month that bryan did in years of knowing her. sandy also is the type of person to stan love story, she just thinks it’s such a fun song and she does yell the key change every time it comes on.
season 2 - speak now/lover
elizabeth!!!!! liz is the type of person who only liked old taylor and then got internalised misogyny and then got over it and loves taylor again. the story of us is canonically a liz/rori song…. yes i am still a liz/rori subtext warrior….. liz is very never grow up and dear john is a very her and james song in the fact that they both relate to it……. when they bonded over their trauma “don’t you think i was too young”...... also lover is a liz season 2 album because it’s about liz learning that love is the most important thing in the world….. liz voice i want to be defined by the things that i love. also the archer is just a skam brighton song because it is an isaac song. also i’m just gonna say it. i like me! it’s a good song when brendon urie isn’t in it, you all are just afraid of having fun. also though liz in season 5 is very better than revenge because, while her season is about unlearning your internalised prejudices, i believe she deserves to be misogynistic for 3 minutes 37 seconds.
season 3 - red
now this is controversial. this season is about depression, grief and anger, and these feelings are red. literally jake voice so you were never a saint and i loved in shades of wrong we learn to live with the pain mosaic broken hearts….. like treacherous….. holy ground….. the whole country pop vibe….. the bitchy songs mocking people’s perceptions of the singer….. 22 is a lad squad song…. also jake voice i remember it all too well but it’s about his father’s abuse and his mother’s neglect…… like the whole season is just jake getting to the point where he is at “begin again”. also i feel like jake would like red because he spent a lot of time watching taylor swift music videos as a youth both because he liked the music and had crushes on the guys in them, and he feels red is the perfect middle between the country and the pop and the indie and he just really likes being sad.
season 4 - reputation
bree big reputation holland!!!!!!!!! she has it all - the romantic drama, the hatred of men, the fucking homoeroticism. bree stans the reputation tour and they have made the entire holland-fletcher family watch it on their netflix (al fucking loved it because he’s a canon swiftie, audrey had a fun time, patrick was a little confused, but has the spirit). listen bree “i did something bad”. bree “look what you made me do”. bree and rori “new year’s day”. bree voice i swear i don’t love the drama, it loves me!!!!!!!!! like the reason the season has a lot of reputation songs and ends with daylight from lover is a metaphor for bree leaving their reputation era…. also reputation has she/they vibes
season 5 - 1989
1989 my best friend 1989!!!!!!! i am coming out here as a 1989 (deluxe) stan. it’s just a serotonin album for me and it is just so nick. the mocking songs about their reputation…… the genuinely deeply depressing homoerotic songs that have fun upbeat music…… the cars….. also clean is just such a nick song. he is in recovery, he is just so personal to me. also nick voice one night he wakes strange look on his face pauses then says you’re my best friend and you knew what it was he is in love!!!!!!! nick canonically in love with all of their best friends braxton!!!!! also nick feels like a 1989 stan because they just have those fun energies. nick WILL scream the spoken part of shake it off at the top of his lungs. also new romantic is just a skamverse song in general. also just. out of the woods. no reason for me to say it other than it’s one of my favourite songs of all time.
season 6 - folklore/evermore
no evermore is not out yet. yes i am claiming it for season 6. see taylor has said that these albums are all about telling stories/fairy tales and that’s what season 6 is about. i cannot wait until next friday when the main and my plans for the hiatus are revealed…….. genuinely i do not know how anyone perceives skam brighton so i don’t know who people think the next main is, but…… i can only describe the state of me writing this season as the various ambiguous disorder gifs.
#skam brighton#skam brighton spoilers#what's up i've been a swiftie since i was 3 fucking years old and i will be loud about it!!!!!!!!#also i do love my funny little people i play with in my head (the skambr main squad) they are my dearest friends i would do anything for the#them

OCtober Day 6: Luxury
Thank you @oc-growth-and-development for the prompt, as always. This is three bros, two of them roasting Pacific Rim to hell and back. I’m a big fan of this movie I swear. This is a continuation of the Exy AU, following Finley (from OCtober Day 2: Mercy). He’s in a new team, and he doesn’t need friends, they disappoint him. Very Regrettably for Finley, the friends don’t agree. Fluff with some mild angst at the end. We stan found family. Kaspar and Finley are my characters, Mantis/Margot is @statistical-improbabilities character. I also named dropped @statistical-improbabilities Mya and @carry-on-my-wayward-brain Dusk.
“This is absurd,” Finley said, watching the robot on screen slam a cargo boat into the monster’s face with a deafening crunch.
They were sitting on the floor of Kaspar’s room, rough carpet under their legs, Mantis’ laptop in front of them as an action movie flashed on screen. Finley watched the big robot slap the godzilla-like thing repeatedly in the face, only for the creature to grab them by the tail and rip their boat-made-baseball-bat into half. He vaguely wondered, not for the first time that night, how he’d even gotten here.
“I don’t know about that,” Kaspar said, a tub of ice cream in his lap as he put another spoonful of it into his mouth, never taking his eyes off the screen. “It looks pretty realistic to me.” “Please,” Mantis said next to him. Or Margot. She’d introduced herself as the former, but Kaspar used the latter almost exclusively. Finley had simply avoided calling her by name. “I’ve seen Green Lantern movies with better CGI effects.” “Touche,” he said, but didn’t sound the least bit insulted. He ate another scoop of ice cream. With a certain degree of fear, disgust, and strange admiration, Finley saw he was almost done with the tub. “Shhh, guys, the next part is my favorite fight scene.”
Mantis fell silent, so Finley turned back to the screen. The monster was now playing hide and seek with the robot. How anything as tall as a skyscraper managed to hide, even in a metropolitan like Tokyo, was beyond Finley’s comprehension, but he’d never been to Tokyo, so he stayed silent.
A flashy action shot of the monster, oh so surprisingly, ambushing the protagonists. He let the lights flash from the screen as he thought about what had gotten him here. After spending hours on schoolwork in Mantis’ room, he’d been dragged along to dinner with the two of them. Kaspar suggested they all go to his room to relax before he and Finley went to the gym to do extra practice that night.
Finley hadn’t been pleased.
“Come on, Finley, a little fun never hurt anyone,” Kaspar had said. When Finley had stared back, wholly unconvinced, Kaspar merely smiled fondly and rolled his eyes, as if he’d seen that same look hundreds of times before. “I’ll stay an extra hour to help you on overhead drills.”
“Dusk or Mya are going to get there first,” he muttered, but followed anyway.
Finley watched the monster beat its previously unnoticeable wings and lift the robot into the sky. Tension was supposedly rocketing as fast as that 500 ton beast could fly, which was apparently a thousand miles a second. He was owed a lot of overhead drills for this.
When the protagonists looked like they were about to die, all hope lost, the solution was found in a dramatic twist. The robot fell unceremoniously to the ground from an altitude of 50,000 miles above sea level. Everyone was unscathed.
Kaspar paused the movie.
“Thoughts?” he asked, a smile playing on his ice-cream coated lips as he glanced over at Finley.
“If this movie wanted any shred of my respect, they should’ve both died right there,” Finley said. Despite the fact that he knew Kaspar had a good temper and couldn’t kill a fly, he glanced over to watch his reaction.
“Exactly what I’ve been saying,” Mantis said. Finley blinked in surprise “At the very least, the whole Jaeger should’ve fallen apart. It was way too big to have gotten out of that with just scratches.”
“Yeah, but then it wouldn’t have been as cool,” Kaspar said, leaning back lazily. He seemed completely undisturbed by the fact that both Finley and Mantis had been insulting what he had introduced as his ‘favorite movie of all time’ for the last hour. Mantis, who had evidently watched it a few times already, had said something sarcastic, but sat down to watch it all the same.
In the last 57 minutes, she’d pointed out the main male lead’s horrible haircut, roasted his fashion sense, and cut into three major worldbuilding flaws. Finley joined her cringing, covering his eyes like a vampire in sunlight, when the female lead accidentally walked into the male lead’s room while he was shirtless. “Proper physics is cool,” Mantis said. She reached for the bowl of popcorn, and popped a few in her mouth, before washing it down with an energy drink. Finley didn’t want to know what that tasted like. “This whole thing doesn’t make any sense,” he said, irritably.
“What about it doesn’t make sense?” Kaspar asked. Finley glanced at him. He seemed relaxed. Happy, even, with a content smile on his face. “Everything. Why are giant robots the best weapon in this scenario? They’re going to be rebuilding that place for years with the footprints it left on the roads, let alone the infrastructure damage. Second of all, how do the kaiju keep following the scientist guy around?” “Because he mind-melded with them,” Kaspar said, “The Kaiju are a hive mind.”
Finley snorted. “Why the fuck would anyone mind-meld with a hive mind race of monsters?”
Kaspar shrugged. He tapped his spoon against his chin for a moment, thinking. “Science?” He said, almost to himself, and turned to Mantis questioningly. Finley pulled a look so skeptical he could’ve made Newton doubt whether gravity was real. Mantis, however, thought only for a moment before she nodded, “Science.”
“This is stupid,” he huffed. “To quote,” Mantis pointed out, matter-of-factly, “it’s either the most awesome dumb movie ever made–”
“–Or the dumbest awesome movie ever made,” Kaspar said, almost gleefully, as he pressed the play button. Finley sighed.
He stayed for the rest of the movie.
---
He waited for Kaspar outside the dorms while the other man was grabbing his things to go to the court to practice. It was late by now, the sky ink black save for the few stars visible through all the light pollution. Cold wind made the chilly temperatures just that much colder. Finley waited under a street light, his things all ready, a change of clothes, water bottle, and a pair of gloves in his gym bag. With a sigh, he unzipped it, pulled out the gloves. They were black and maroon––ravens colors––and the only pair he had.
He wrapped his arms around himself. Though years of playing exy had even him lean muscle, he was still scrawny, and not the biggest fan of the cold. Glancing at the door of the dorms, he waited. The two hours he spent watching a dumb action movie indoors would’ve been a luxury unheard of in the Ravens. Siobhan had never been a fan of movies, anyway, so there would’ve been no one for him to watch it with. For that, he was almost grateful; the movie hadn’t gotten better in the second half.
Still, the image stayed in his mind. Kaspar and Mantis, exchanging quips and inside jokes. Mantis didn’t glance over for his reaction when she criticized the protagonist’s haircut to hell and back. When she had run out of her energy drink, Kaspar had promptly pulled another one out and passed it over to her.
He tried to picture himself and Siobhan in those shoes. Finley didn’t have a favorite drink, and what Siobhan said was never a joke.
But they had stood next to each other for so long. A menace on the court, the two of them. An impenetrable defense and an unstoppable offense. It had never been perfect. Admittedly, nothing in The Ravens had been, but still, he sometimes tried to find Siobhan’s triumphant grin on the faces of his new teammates. Her iron will in Kaspar’s eyes when he swung his racquet.
He sighed, staring up at the night sky. In another life, perhaps, though he doubted that concept was anything more than an impossible wish. “Hey, sorry that took awhile,” Kaspar said, stepping out of the dorms. He had obviously rushed, his shoelaces untied, and the horrible orange color of his hoodie clashing with the gold and red of his Trojans track pants.
Finley merely huffed, and stalked down the path without him.
