Omg Hi!!! It has been so long since I have seen you on my dash! How are you doing love? I hope you are doing super well ^.^ I recently saw your Mc with trauma post. I loved it so much, and it has also given me a lot to mull over the past few days lol.

Honestly I love the idea of a traumatized Mc and the brothers feeling like absolute shit for the way they treated them in the beginning... but yk another part of me wonders when I imagine my own traumas in that scenario... that for people (the bros- literal demons) who have faced so many things and traumas in their own lives, whether my feelings or pain is even comparable to that. Ik you can't compare things like that and the brothers would probably even be mad if I think of my feelings this way since it's the "Ohhhh someone always has it worse. It's not even that bad so just suck it up" self-deprecating part of me. Despite knowing ALL THAT I can't help but think that I am not traumatized enough to deserve empathy lmao (I realize how stupid it sounds saying it out loud).

So that is what REALLY got me thinking. What about an Mc that is genuinely terrified of scrutiny, being a nuisance and just basically inconveniencing anyone for things that are just basic needs. Idk if I am explaining it well enough oof and a mc like that (like me lmao) certainly won't bode well with Lucifer. Atleast not in the beginning. I could hate him (I could never but if I did) but still be terrified of disappointing him. This is what I mean when I say I love him but he reminds me too much of my father habits wise 🤢.

I am thinking a Mc who is afraid of asking even their basic needs at the beginning once Lucifer mumbled about them being too much trouble. Mc who feels so extremely guilty when the brothers get anything for them, cuz they feel like they have to work for it or they don't deserve it. Mc whose blood freezes over when they break something and try to replace it as quick as possible so no one blames them. Mc who never expresses their concerns so as to not add to the brothers' already full plates or worry them. It hurts to bottle it all up but seeing the brothers' concerned faces with so much PITY is a thousand times worse. Mc who never complains and adjusts to even unfair situations so as to not be a bother. Mc who just takes, takes and takes everything bad and doesn't say a word cuz they feel like they deserve it. Mc who tells little white lies to hide their flaws and be the perfect exchange student and avoid scoldings and criticisms ; only to stew in shame, disgust, self-loathing when someone eventually catches up on one of the lies (the person probably didn't even make a big deal of it/ was only mildly disappointed but Mc feels their heart breaking in two as they think they have broken their trust forever and would never be trusted again)

Gosh this got way longer than I was expecting >.< and a lot of signs like these aren't really obvious until you are close to that person. I think so many of us are so hard and rutheless to ourselves when sometimes the thing we need the most is a little compassion and understanding ;-;

And oof, yes, I understand what you're saying completely. I'm like that too in a lot of ways, keeping certain details or complaints to myself because "Oh surely what I've been to is really nothing". And sometimes I let something slip and people get very concerned. Which is validating in a way, not that I need to be validated for it, everyone goes through their own pain and awful things SUCK no matter to what extent it is and I've had to learn that through my life.

(Wow that MC really is just me, huh? Calling me out are you? /j)

Honestly this type of MC is just canon to me. (I mean, the more pithy responses the MC has in original OM might just be due to writing but to me it just seems like the calm and general response of someone throwing out NPC answers as a survival tactic.)

They suck things up and soak up everything that's been said to them and work hard to remain a normal functioning being.

And of course Lucifer is an interesting character to think about with this MC because on one hand the human could absolutely despise him for the way he treats them. Or on the other hand (if you're like me I guess, which I realize is hella unhealthy, oops) the MC could look up to him and work extra hard to try to gain his validation, because getting praise from someone like that means you must not be a failure, right?

And just...the dynamic of that is so appealing to me, because Lucifer loves when people work hard and do what they're told, but then if he finally comes to the realization that they're burning out and actually almost putting themselves in more danger and harm because of HIM? And at the end of the day he's doing more damage than any of his chaotic brothers? (I like to have him spiral and be humbled just a bit)

Just all of the brothers doing some deep introspection once they come to care for MC and needing to sit down and realize that probably made their human feel so much worse and then spending the rest of eternity trying to fix that. And then the "I can fix him" mentality from MC turns into the "I can fix them" from every other character. A special Uno Reverse, if you will.

Okok I don't mean this as hate I'm just curious what demoncest game is Canon in the games (minus asmo's flirting/comments he makes to the bros!!) (Again I don't mean this as hate I guess I just never picked up on it +super behind in both games) (sorry for the long ask-/g

you're good, but i do want to point something out in your ask because i've seen it other places too – asmo's behavior is definitely incestuous lol. he's a member of the family flirting with other members of the family, and this is largely just seen as a cute-if-slightly-annoying quirk of his (which i add for the asmo-hating "the brothers hate it and think it's gross when he does that!!" crowd). anyway, just off the top of my head:

asmo is archetypically written as a brocon for lucifer. the main point of the "jewel of the heavens" story was to establish this, especially when simeon later accidentally lightly roasts asmo for making it his entire personality. like, the point of it is asmo is obsessed with being beautiful because that's how he can see himself as being useful to lucifer, to earn more of his love and attention.

lucifer's "punishments" for mammon are heavily implied to be sexual. during the retreat, when diavolo helps lucifer punish him literally all night long, mc and levi are (semi) joking about what the three of them must have been doing, and it's so graphic that simeon covers luke's ears.

also, can't forget mc is canonically the brothers' great-niece or -nephew. i know they tried to do some retcon on that one but come on now.

this one's kind of a meta thing but i feel like it counts so i'm adding it. one of the primary artists for cards of the twins is a career yaoi artist

but also just the twins in general. like. you are absolutely supposed to read them as shoujo twincest twins. i feel stupid even trying to argue this one because it's so obvious. if you tell belphie in season one that you have feelings for beel your intimacy with BELPHIE goes up. belphie describes his ideal life after running away as "belphie, beel and mc live happily ever after." they share a room. they have telepathy. i mean please.

satan and lucifer have this very fucked mutualistic oedipal thing going on. it doesn't come up often but it is weird as shit every time and i love it. every time lucifer reminds satan that he is technically his mother he says it in the same teasing/smug way he usually uses to flirt, and satan responds with embarrassment/blushing. "in your case, even more?" "why don't you just say 'lucifer, i need affection?'" etc

in one of the early early events i think p&c but i don't remember we get the iconic knowledge that leviathan finds humiliation "titillating!" which was in response to belphie insulting him that is what turned him on

belphie and satan's hatred of diavolo and psychosexual obsession with lucifer that are very much connected because talking about how much lucifer sucks and they hate him INCREDIBLY quickly devolved into "he's so obsessed with diavolo. i hate how he's with diavolo all the time. they're probably having sex. lucifer probably lets diavolo do anything he wants to him" like are you guys ok

belphie constantly talks about how beautiful asmo is with zero hint of irony like will just out of hand be like "my older brother who's stunningly gorgeous" as if that's a normal thing to say

everybody talks about lilith super normal you guys. especially belphie. whose very normal reaction to lilith having a human boyfriend who did not do anything wrong except die was to reverse course on his defining characteristic and develop a genocidal hatred of humans. also him holding mc and calling them lilith. it's giving yoosung mystic messenger saying you're just like rika but ok

yup i have many! i love this boy so much

the majority of the class 1b fandom seems to agree that this dude is a total memelord and i honestly can't look him in those googly eyes and disagree with that

he definitely spams the class group chat with memes, recreates vines with his friends, quotes them all the time, gets mildly upset every time someone doesn't understand a reference and acts like he has memorized every knowyourmeme article in existence

i think he's just class 1-b's main funny guy in general, always joking around, telling wacky stories, pulling pranks and just trying to make everyone laugh :)

speaking of pranks: he loves pulling them because his quirk is perfect for that purpose. he did the "putting walls of solid air in doorways and waiting for someone to bump into them" one so may times it's more annoying than funny at this point, but it's his favorite nonetheless. mainly because he really enjoys watching certain people (usually Awase or Kamakiri, the ones who swear the most) get ridiculously pissed over it lol

he also uses his quirk to make little glass figures. he's not much of an artist so they usually come out really wonky but everyone thinks theyre cute

lung capacity has a lot to do with physical endurance so i guess he does long distance running as a form of quirk training? i feel like hes a pretty sporty person in general considering ball sports are canonically one of his favorite things

as much as he likes his quirk, he has to admit that it can be pretty damn inconvenient sometimes. for example respiratory diseases make it go haywire and it's incredibly annoying because it activates every time he coughs or sneezes

his life motto is probably something like "the more stupid shit you do, the more funny stories you'll have to tell your friends later!" because he always gets himself in trouble in dumbest ways possible and then walks up to people like "hey wanna hear about my latest near death experience"

but he's an amazing storyteller, really. this man's got such a way with words that everyone likes listening to him

he'd actually make a pretty good teacher.... if he wasn't absolutely terrible at almost everything school related

english is his only really strong school subject (90% of his skills comes from watching yt videos and looking at memes in english). he's pretty bad at everything else because his memory sucks and he can't pay attention in class to save his life

Rin is usually the one who helps him with studying. this is the main reason why they're close because Rin has the soul of an old man and doesn't get Tsuburaba's sense of humor at all lmao

the people who definitely do get his sense of humor are Tokage and Fukidashi. they're the meme trio of class 1-b and they have a separate group chat that exists for shitposting purposes only

he's also really good friends with Kaibara and Awase, the other two common sense kings, plus Tetsutetsu and Kamakiri, buuut i'm too lazy to talk about it rn lol

Yanagi on the other hand really doesn't like him. she considers him an annoying pervert and treats him like a sworn rival. he likes messing with her in return despite not really understanding why she hates him so much. the rest of the class thinks their interactions are hilarious

i mean he's canonically pretty dirty minded, but he's no Mineta!

sure he laughs at dirty jokes and often catches himself staring at people but he usually keeps his... thoughts to himself

idk for some reasons he seems like the kind of guy who sleeps naked (obviously he wears a robe when walking around the dorms)

it's a very good way to keep Tetsutetsu out of his room because Tetsu's the kind of guy who likes storming into peoples rooms in the morning like "it's a beautiful day outside bro!! the birds are singing and the sun is shining, get out of bed and go eat a healthy breakfast!!!" and Tsuburaba needs his beauty sleep lmao

My Speeding Bullet Headcanons

(These are/will be all true for The Roadrunner and the Wiley Dingo)

- Scout and Sniper are both their canon heights (5'11'' and 6'2'') I like short!Scout don't get me wrong, but I felt like making him shorter would make it too hard to justify him escaping from some of Sniper's traps

- Sniper is 29, Scout is 24, almost 25

-Sniper has been with a guy before, he spent so much time on the road as an assassin that he would take intimacy where he could

-Scout refuses to confirm or deny to me that he is a virgin, but definitely hasn't been with a guy

- Nicknames are part of their love language:

Scout's nicknames for Sniper: Snipes, wombat, dingo, babe

Sniper's nicknames for Scout: roo, roadrunner, varmit, luv, precious posey

- RED Spy is RED Scout's dad, Scout knows but just tries to block it out

-He only calls Spy 'Dad' when he is mad and wants to remind Spy (and everyone else) that he abandoned a 3 year old

- Spy hates that Sniper and Scout are together, but finds out pretty quickly that neither of them is going to give the other up despite bribes and threats, so he adopts a 'If I don't acknowledge it, it's not happening' attitude

- I've heard that Scout canonically dies at age 27-I reject that. He lives a long life with Sniper and no one can tell me otherwise

- You wouldn't think it, but Sniper is actually the cuddler in the relationship. Scout got lots of physical contact his whole life, having 7 older brothers, but Sniper barely got any, so he likes to hold Scout any chance he gets.

Scout's standing up? Sniper will come hug him from behind

Scout's on the couch? Sniper will either put his arm around him or push his legs off the couch so he can drape Scout's legs over his lap

In bed? Scout's thinner than Sniper so Sniper will completely engulf him when they cuddle, and kiss his neck or forehead depending on which way he's facing. Scout likes it too because Sniper makes him feel safe

- Scout's real name is Jeremy, and Sniper's is Mick (short for Micheal)

- Scout is big on words of affirmation, and tells Sniper how handsome, awesome, badass, etc he is basically everyday. If he thinks of something he likes about Sniper, he will tell Sniper as soon as he can. Sniper compliments him and means it every time, but not as often, especially not around the other mercs. But when they're in bed, and Scout is asleep, then he'll whisper all the sappy things he wants to say to him. Scout heard 'You're my entire world, and I don't know what I did to deserve ya' one night, and now pretends to be asleep so he can listen to Sniper basically gush about him

-Sniper's voice turns Scout on. Full Stop.

-The only time Scout is completely silent is when Sniper is talking. He will drop everything and just listen because he knows how comfortable Sniper is with him if he will share personal things and actually monologue for a couple minutes

-They became friends because Scout refused to give up on Sniper. He basically showed up at Sniper's camper one day and was like 'I'm never leaving'. (he didn't move in tho) It bothered Sniper for about a week, but Scout never forced him to talk, and just seemed happy to be with him, and that got endearing pretty quick.

- Their couple dynamic is basically bros who cuddle and hold hands, except when they compete to see who can make the other one blush more. (Scout always loses because he sucks at hiding emotions and Sniper's had a lot of practice)

-Sniper doesn't feel like he has to hide his emotions around Scout, because he won't use them against him like Medic or Spy might

-Scout is, naturally, loud in bed

- Sniper is better at dirty talk, and he always growls it into Scout's ear, which just makes Scout even louder

- They don't really have a dom/sub dynamic, but Sniper will put Scout in his place if he's being a brat

The beauty of Isaactor is that we know next to nothing about their relationship in canon, and I've seen the most different of takes from other fans - rivals, close friends, boyfriends, fuckbuddies, abusive... and for each of them I've nodded and thought "yep, this makes perfect sense" lmao, canon doesn't tether me so I was free to consider every interpretation

So my indecisive ass blended every take together for my headcanons 😂

(but speaking of canon, I feel the need to post this one, small, singular glimpse of PtR because I can't get over it, Hector looks so done with everything, c'mon man Isaac was trying to be nice... in his own way :P)

That Isaac had a thing for Hector is 100% canon and I will die on this hill :P how could anyone resist his pretty silver hair? But as for Hector, I think there was the chance for him to like Isaac back. I think that, at his best, Isaac was fun to be around, he made Hector laugh, they were up to some shenanigans in the castle like racing on their Innocent Devils :P He also was his senpai, and I mean it in the real, untranslatable sense of the word - he's a little older than Hector, he started studying dark arts before him, so what if he taught him some tricks? What if Hector at first admired Isaac too? What if there was a time where Isaac was simply fond of Hector and proud of his progress, without his jealousy getting in the way? :)

And this is small, but... what if Hector never fell into the pit of "all humans suck" precisely because he met Isaac, and that for him was the proof that some humans were good after all? :')

I don't think they loved each other though, not in a deep, wholesome way. I'm going with MF's idea that they met as teens, and they were both messed up teens who had no idea what love was* because they were deprived of it, bitter and shunned, so while they liked each other and had fun together, they just kinda... clung together because they had nothing else, and had no idea of what they were doing. They were each other's firsts in everything, even friends, with no healthy reference lol. And turns out that, just because you can bond over the world hating you both, doesn't mean that you have compatible personalities.

(*tbf, at least Isaac had Julia, which is its own can of worms and another relationship brimming with potential for headcanons. I personally think that Isaac's family situation was at the very least a bit better than Hector's: Mr. Laforeze was a sorcerer himself so Isaac's powers didn't scare him, Julia just loved her big bro, and Isaac did his best to protect her. But I also think that he was treated much, much worse by the village he lived in, because you don't proudly state that you turned your back against God as a literal child without something breaking you... let's just say that according to some legends, strigoi have red hair and blue eyes :^) )

Admittedly, I'm also stealing a couple of pages from N!Hector, because not everything about him is a dumpster fire. There's nothing wrong, for example, with the idea that when he was younger, Hector used to be more passive - in the manga's flashback he comes off as a very shy, scared boy, most likely traumatized by his mother and the church burning because of him. When you're made to feel like you shouldn't have even been born, how much self esteem are you bound to have? So I think Isaac always had the stronger, more dominant personality (yes I'm saying that the man with a collar is dominant, he's a complicated guy [cit.]), and he managed to rope Hector into everything he wanted to do, and everything was on his terms. I don't see Isaac as a deliberate manipulator, let alone abusive, just that he put himself in charge (something something compensating for his perceived inferiority and needing to be seen as important something) and Hector never stopped him because he trusted Isaac too much.

And then Lisa was killed.

Imagine the huge shift that this brought in Castlevania. Dracula snapped and waged war on humanity. This, among other things, meant that the Devil Forgemasters were now tasked to create huge armies of demons, to then send to villages to be destroyed.

Imagine Hector and Isaac being overworked to death, stressed, and worried for Dracula's state. Isaac also has to face the facts that he's not quite as good as Hector, he can't keep up as easily, and Dracula already favores the other one, and it drives him mad. He wants that recognition too, he's afraid that he might be deemed useless, and if he's useless, what is he good for? Dracula is angry, demanding, merciless, he won't forgive any mistake because this war is too important to him, Isaac always has to be at his best and can't afford to slip up - so he doubles and triples down and twists himself to be as loyal and efficient as he can possibly be, compensating his flaws in Devil Forging with sheer, mindless cruelty to please his Master in any way he can. He even goes so far as to ask to be tattooed to really commit! I interpret Isaac as someone who doesn't want to think, he only wants to obey and belong to someone who deserves it.

Hector, in his position as the golden child, had the time to actually think about what he was doing. Again taking some inspiration from N!Hector, I imagine he had little empathy for humans, but not to the point of wanting all of them dead: he was probably uncomfortable with the requests of killing everyone, but at first he went along, because well, what else could he do? And he could vaguely understand why Dracula was so enraged. But, while Isaac really worshipped the very ground Dracula walked on and justified anything with "it's what my Lord wants and my purpose in life is to obey Him", Hector always saw his servitude to Dracula in a more distant way, as in, "I wanted power, you gave me that power, and to thank you I am willing to use it for you". So his uncomfortableness grew into something heavier to bear... guilt for the innocents he was killing, resentment for doing something he didn't want, a growing sense of self-worth, the realization that, no matter how many times he repeated that he did not belong to the human world (as per the Japanese version of the Devil Forging formula), he really was still as much human as the creatures Dracula so despised.

(a bit of a side note, I think Isaac also took Lisa's execution more personally because of his background as a sorcerer. Julia herself was hunted because of her nature as a witch, and who knows if they also went through something similar during their childhood? So I imagine he was more than glad to punish the "humans" for their irrational hatred against witches, while Hector was more detatched)

And what does this have to do with Hector and Isaac's relationship? Well, we know that Hector tried to involve Isaac in his morality crisis, and he was shut down without any hope for discussion. Isaac didn't want to think about that, he had other things to worry about. He was also starting to feel quite resentful about Hector, always better than him no matter how hard he tried - I think that the two started to argue pretty much everyday because Isaac kept snapping over everything and Hector was growing a spine. Jealousy is a bitch and can turn you into a nasty person :\ and I like to think that Hector started to look down on Isaac for his mindless devotion, which he couldn’t comprehend. To make matters worse, Hector didn't really have anyone else to confide in... well, there was Alucard, but I doubt that Alucard wanted much to do with two humans stomping all over his mother's wishes :\

(also personally i am a huge, huge slut for the idea that they'd still keep the physical part of their relationship because they lowkey miss each other but they're both too much prideful assholes to talk about it ;) at least, until Hector grew tired and started to feel used...)

By the end, Hector has had enough of Isaac's shit. He lost the one person he thought that could understand him, he wants to run away, he wants to be free, because he has realized his own worth - I love that part in the MF manga where he looks down on Isaac and makes fun of him for being a pawn, I need more of Hector being a condescending little shit :) Part of him still wished he could ask Isaac to run away with him, but he knew that he simply couldn't, Isaac has put Dracula over him, he'd rat him out, or he'd kill him with his own hands. So he thinks "fuck it", and leaves as soon as he can in secret, maybe even thinking that Isaac would be happy to not have the competition anymore. He underestimated how much being abandoned would hurt Isaac, though.

And that's how they became the worsties we know and love <3

As a bonus point, I like to think that the reason Isaac becomes so hyperobsessed with Hector but barely spares a thought about Trevor, the one who materially went and killed Dracula, is precisely because the Curse took his feelings and his deep hurt and amplified them up to 11, to the point that Isaac really couldn't think about anything else for 3 whole years :)

(another idea i'm a huge slut for is Hector living with Rosaly, actually experiencing love for the first time in his life, and breaking down because now he's realizing that what he had with Isaac wasn't even remotely the same thing and regretting ever stepping foot into Castlevania and wasting half of his life. And yet, at the same time, he grieves for Isaac because he had been such an important part of his life. My man has a lot of adjustment to do :( )

This ended up being a poutpourri of every headcanon I have of what happened pre-C3, but it's just. I have so many thoughts about my boys and they deserve more love <3
