#bro help the forgotten island gives me brain worms

yaknow what I have no shame. lore for the forgotten island.

First I decided to name the island because why not and came up with Auroralis. now I imagine that the island is split into 6 rings and in the center is a mountainous region that holds the highest peak on the island.

the first ring is Dawnveil Shores and is home to a lot of fishing towns and ports. most people live simple lives and make money from catching and selling fish. this ring is guided by Miaplacidus Beta Carinae of Carina. long ass name I know bare with me. Miaplacidus is the guide and kinda like the priest. they teach the path of dawn which focuses on the body and one's self.

the second ring is Solstice Meadows, the farming ring. this ring is big on community and helping one another and supplies the other rings with food. this ring is guided by Merga h Bootis of Bootes. Merga is an eccentric old man who just wants to help everyone. he teaches the path of day which focuses on community and learning about yourself through others.

the third ring is Duskbrim Mistral, this ring is the working ring. lots of jobs and housing in this big city. this ring is guided by Diadem Alpha Comae Berenices of Coma Berenices. Diadem is a silent yet well read woman who teaches the dusk path. this path focuses on the mind and self regulating. learning about how the mind works to keep healthy and happy.

the fourth ring is Starlith Sprires, the artisan ring. this is a large city that focuses on all sorts of entertainment and self expression. lots of galleries, theaters, operas, everything. this ring is guided by Sheliak Beta Lyrae of Lyra. Sheliak is a young woman who loves to be center stage and show herself off as well as her followers. she teaches the path of Starlight which focuses on self expression and dealing with emotions through art.

the fifth ring is Lunaspectra, the prophet ring. this ring is on the smaller side and is an open field right before the mountains of the center ring. the ring is guided by Porrima Gamma Virginis of Virgo, a wise seerer. Porrima teaches the path of midnight, looking to the stars and the past to predict the future and warn of threats. the stars sing to those who listen with careful ears.

lastly is the mountains region of the sixth ring, Nocturna Mantle. not many live here and it is a sacred place were the other guides meet to discuss the happenings in the country. this land is guided by Sadachbia Gamma Aquarii of Aquarius, a mysterious woman who looks eternally youthful. she teaches the twilight path, the path to the soul. looking deeper within one's self through meditation and rituals you can craft the world around you in ways that seem impossible.

when a child on the island turns 14 they hold a ceremony where the child chooses which path they wish to follow. and if they are dedicated enough they can even become a Radiant, a right hand the the guides and one day their replacement when they eventually die.

everyone on the island is named after a star and those from the same family are named after stars from the same constellation.

anyway that's my thoughts on the forgotten island. might get into siffrin's role and life on the island later but eh.
