i'm personally never a fan of airing out dirty laundry in public. and singling out individual players is especially unproductive when you're part of a teamsport. you win and you lose as a team and if you have issues with the individual performance of some of your teammates, there's a time and place to voice these issues but in my opinion that's not during an after match interview.
and i also wasn't a fan when one of our cotrainers decided to say during brinkhoff's ballgeflüster (while karim sat directly next to him) that karim lacks seriousness and that he's sometimes too easygoing during training.
why are we discussing the professionalism of our players and teammates in public? what exactly is that supposed to achieve?

Jule's comments being arrogant seem quite exaggerated to me, like every footballer he has a million things in his head and probably most of the time he is living in his own world involuntarily, he probably doesn't realize those things. The content day was not his day at all and if you don't believe me, look at the photos from 08/21. Champions League in Getty images the half smile and the imposed emotion... totally false. and then at night Brinkhoff's ballgeflüster he did not want to be there, he was very withdrawn, his body language showed a little slight but noticeable nervousness, anxiety and insecurity when speaking, he looked down a lot, bit his lips, moved his legs too much, passed his hands hands on his arms or thighs, a clear sign that he was looking to feel safe. As the minutes passed, his mood improved, but towards the end.
Another thing I wanted to highlight seems to me that her fans are a bit harassing, although I understand Jule's willingness to take photos but they are always almost the same people and I don't think Dortmund is such a small city so at some point it doesn't always go act as we all would like, unlike all the players today, it seems to me that he is one of the few who have his feet on the ground, he may have lost a certain authenticity... yes that may be, but also today at the club he has another role and other responsibilities and we know that he is a player who has always been an easy target for criticism as he is a reserved guy and should not want all that media noise around him. I wish it were like in the Leverkusen days 😪
Now thats a detailed analysis 👍

hmm, i think people think brandt might've meant karim because one of bvb's cotrainers said on brinkhoff's ballgeflüster (this talkshow thingy bvb has going on) that was released/filmed on the wednesday before the bochum match, that karim sometimes lacks seriousness and focus during training and edin backed that cotrainer during the press conference before the bochum match and said that he agrees. i personally don't think brandt talked about karim because karim got subbed in on saturday and i got the impression brandt was talking about the full ninety minutes
Thank you for the info!!!!! I’m also inclined to agree with you tbh it’s not like the team was playing at an amazing level before Karim came on it was consistently bad throughout

I only just realized that one of my subtitled videos on YouTube got deleted (brinkhoffs ballgeflüster with Olli Kirch and Erik Durm). Didn’t even get a notification...but apparently the bvb used my subtitles for their own videos (the quizduell videos from last year). Like...seriously?

Bundesliga: Reus: "Favre best coach I ever had"

Bundesliga: Reus: "Favre best coach I ever had"
Tumblr media
Lucien Favre is praised as BVB trainer after only a few weeks. Even FCB boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has only warm words for the Swiss. Marco Reus names Favre, the best coach he’s ever had. Here you can find all news and rumours around the BVB.
Lucien Favre also lives up to his reputation with the BVB. The Swiss leaves nothing to chance, not even the smallest details, even with the black-yellow ones. According to a report in the Sport Bild, the starting positions and walking distances are determined exactly for standards, even the time when the wall jumps up is determined by the former Gladbach coach.
“I have to learn a lot because he is very keen on detail,” newcomer Abdou Diallo was not badly surprised. Especially in duel behavior Favre should interrupt and correct things again and again during training. Those responsible at BVB are correspondingly optimistic: “I am very confident that Lucien will fully meet our expectations,” says Managing Director Hans-Joachim Watzke.
Who will be Bavaria’s biggest opponent in the Bundesliga next season? For Bavaria boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, it’s not runner-up Schalke 04, but arch-rival Borussia Dortmund: “This is at least the second-best team in Germany,” Rummenigge said in an interview with Sport Bild.
And KHR also mentioned the reason why the FCB had to look after the BVB: Coach Lucie Favre. “Lucien is known for his immediate top performance in the first year,” explained Rummenigge. “This will be the biggest competitor for the German championship.” The 62-year-old believes that Favre can put the BVB back on track and be an unpleasant opponent for the Bavarians. “They’ve played a little below their capacity in the past few years, especially last year.”
“He’s obsessed with detail. What I have seen so far is madness,” Reus ennobled his new old coach at the sponsors’ talk Brinkhoff’s Ballgeflüster. “He’ll show you how to defend, where to stand, which foot to play.”
Reus already has a history with Favre. The international has already worked with the Swiss at the other Borussia in Mönchengladbach. “He’s the best coach I’ve ever had, both professionally and personally.” This is a big compliment, after all Reus also played at BVB for Jürgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel, who are now training absolute heavyweights in Europe with FC Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain.
