New emissions law brings major changes to Brazilian cars
New rules aimed at reducing pollutant emissions to meet sustainability goals
Tumblr media
The PROCONVE L8, the latest phase of Brazil’s Vehicle Emission Control Program, which took effect on January 1st, introduces significant changes to the Brazilian automotive industry to drastically reduce pollutant emissions. Based on the 2018 CONAMA Resolution 492 by the Brazilian Environment Council, these regulations align with international standards and directly impact new vehicle development, requiring advanced technologies to meet sustainability goals.
According to the resolution, vehicles produced until December 31, 2024, can be sold under the old standards until March 31. After that, all new cars must comply with the PL8 rules.
The new guidelines will significantly impact the industry, leading to the retirement of engines that were once benchmarks in energy efficiency. They are also driving changes such as the mild hybrid dual-fuel engine in the Fiat Pulse and Fastback and new aerodynamic solutions in the 2025 Volkswagen Nivus.
The main change under PROCONVE L8 is the stringent reduction of pollutant emission limits, bringing them closer to European standards. This reduction will occur in three phases: the current one and two more in January 2027 and January 2029.

I’m trying to “”socialize”” (vom @ myself) more now and this is ptsd inducing. meeting new ppl is HORRIBLE. even if they’re nice to me it takes sm energy for me to reply to texts + get to know new ppl
like I prefer to have just like 1 or max 2 friends at a time bc I get overloaded even by this.
and omgg trying to introduce myself to a new person, letting them get to know me it’s so repetitive.. I have nothing to even say to anyone irl ! I don’t want anyone to know how crazy I am
like you have to go thru the same process over and over and my mental dialogue goes like
“hi I’m __ I like __ what about you, I know you’re not rly interested in me but you pretend to be and you will dislike me soon when you find out I’m a socially stunted weirdo hehe. please don’t ghost me bc I’m putting in effort and my ego will be hurt if you reject me.
did you know I don’t like anything mainstream bc I’m a contrarian edgelord who was bullied as a child so now I purposely reject anything I consider to be basic since I enjoy isolating myself and using my interests as a barrier to protect me from the world and to replace a lack of a functional personality?
anyways wanna go bowling? I have no friends and I’m bored and my mom keeps yelling at me to go outside haha. also I’m an alcholic I can’t talk without booze so I have to bring a whole bottle along. see u l8 xoxo”

Rachel Wong just announced a new single: Stay Away
A very uplifting and energetic new single from an artist who’s always ready for innovation and new ideas, while still retaining a catchy vibe.
June 2021 - Rachel Wong is a singer and songwriter who recently announced the release of a fantastic new studio single, Stay Away.
Hailing from California, Rachel made her debut on streaming platforms in 2020, and she continued to build a strong sonic legacy, releasing some outstanding new music throughout the year and deep into 2021 as well, culminating into an amazing album titled “SAVE US B4 IT’S TOO L8,” featuring eight new songs, including the well-received “Angel Of Death” (nope, it’s not that Slayer classic!) as well as Smoke Signals and Before You Go. She is now ready to release something new, and keep exploring new ideas with her wonderful music.
Stay Away is a perfect new chapter in Rachel’s discography, and it feels like a perfect evolution of her style and sound. She didn’t stray too far from her earlier releases, but definitely pushed herself to avoid falling into her comfort zone, and bringing in some fresh creativity to the mix, without necessarily alienating her current fan base. This release comes highly recommended if you enjoy music that’s energetic, fresh and dynamic, with ties to pop, punk, and other styles. Rachel Wong managed to strike gold with a very creative songwriting formula. Her music has a very refreshing touch, and while there are some familiar elements that reveal the artist’s background and influences, there is definitely a unique personal touch which drives the sound of Rachel Wong’s releases, Stay Away included! In terms of production, this song kind of falls in line with what I like to call “Travis Barker” wave - The legendary (and super-talented) drummer from Blink-182 isn’t just a master at hitting hard and fast, but he is also a talented producer, who almost single-handedly brought back Pop-Punk, spicing things up by incorporating elements of pop and hip-hop into it, two other genres he knows and loves. Rachel Wong’s music has a crisp, really huge production, with punchy drums, massive walls of guitars and cool atmospheric parts to add more to the overall vision. If you like any of the recent music from KennyHoopla, Machine Gun Kelly, Dead Rituals, or Mod Sun, you should definitely check this out, because it might be right up your alley! Rachel Wong’s vocals are lush and atmospheric, and there are some really good harmonic layers, making the track fuller and ramping up the appeal of the melodies, without compromising in terms of energy.
In addition to the music, the artist actually just posted a really cool song teaser on her Instagram account (linked at the bottom of the article), which features a sketch-like animation featuring some of the song’s lyrics. The songwriting seems very personal and dynamic, giving the audience a nice perspective on the artist’s storytelling skills and allowing the true emotion that drives the release to really stand out. From start to finish, this song is really fresh and enjoyable. It is definitely the kind of track that I would love to blast in the car, driving in the sun and possibly going to a nice beach (yes, I am kind of done with being indoors for nearly 2 years due to this crazy pandemic!) I feel like the universe kind of owes us all a really good, hassle-free summer, and this is the perfect soundtrack for it! This track is definitely going to be your cup of tea if you do enjoy music that’s made with passion and integrity, each step of the way.
Find out more about Rachel Wong and do not miss out on Stay Away, as well as other studio releases from this excellent artist, who is definitely on track for an amazing future, if this song is any indication! As mentioned earlier, the song has been teased on the artist’s social media, but it is actually going to be released in July - The wait isn’t long, but in the meanwhile, hit Rachel’s Instagram page and don’t miss out on her updates!

Designed for the community to enjoy secure and seamless access, Rochester Commons will feature a single digital identity access that allows executives to easily move through the entire integrated development via facial recognition, QR code scanning or access cards. A mobile app will be available for tenants and visitors to book amenities and access building services. Rochester Commons will also deploy a cloud-based intelligent building platform that allows the property manager to draw insights using energy and space usage data to optimise building functions for occupiers’ comfort.
The 135-unit Citadines Connect Rochester Singapore will similarly offer tech-enabled features such as mobile keys, self check-in kiosks and content streaming-enabled televisions. Entirely digital-enabled, guests will be able to book, check-in, request for services, check loyalty points, check out, make payment and provide feedback via an app.
Catering to both short and long stays, Citadines Connect Rochester Singapore is ideal for leisure and business travellers. The hotel will have a swimming pool as well as a 24-hour gymnasium. Service robots will perform tasks such as concierge services, delivering clean laundry and refilling room supplies. Guests can also recharge at the ‘Re-Space’ – a lounge area fitted with USB charging points, lockers and shower rooms for guests to rest and relax.
Green spaces and amenities
The integrated development will be connected via an approximately 1,200 ft green trail, interspersed with a sky garden, viewing decks, event spaces and meeting pods for the community to enjoy the outdoors. West Coast v Port Adelaide: Late fade-outs leave the Eagles grounded
If West Coast misses out on finals this season, they can blame a string of poor second-half performances.

St Kilda have burst into top-four contention with a thumping 67-point win over Richmond at Etihad Stadium.
Port bring it home in the fourth
Port Adelaide moved up to fourth on the ladder with a win over the West Coast Eagles.
West Coast were 11 points ahead of the Power at the main break on Sunday, looking for a ninth win and potentially fourth spot on the ladder. They had led by as much as 24 points midway through the second term.
But the Power managed to level the scores by three-quarter-time and then kicked 8.4 to 3.2 in the final quarter to run away with a comfortable win.
While the Eagles have managed to win four games despite lowering their colours after half-time, Sunday’s fixture was also the third time this season that they have lost having led at the main break.
They were in front of Richmond by seven points at the MCG in round three before losing by 11 points, and led GWS by seven points in round 10 at Domain Stadium before losing by eight.
The stats after half-time on Sunday do not make pretty reading for West Coast fans. Port won the inside-50 count 14 to 37; contested possessions by 13 and clearances by eight. One stat the Eagles finished in front in is they managed to turn the ball over in their forward half 16 times to the Power’s four.

Eagles coach Adam Simpson said it is something they have to have to turn around.

“Our second halves; we put a lot of energy and effort into that first half without true reward,” he said. “But that’s footy.
“You’ve got to be able to do it all the time. Our players know that; they take accountability for it.

“The positive is our best is good enough. But the thing we need to work on is how to do it for four quarters.
“And until we do that, we won’t play finals.

“We need to sustain it for us to be a competitive team that’s hard to play against wherever we play. We’ve worked pretty hard in the past month and we’ve been up and about in terms of pressure and supply.
“Today we played probably the best team at it, and we couldn’t match it for four quarters.”
Compounding their late-game woes, the Eagles have won only two second-halves this season, against Gold Coast (at Metricon Stadium) and Melbourne (at Domain Stadium). In each case they trailed by five points at the main break, and still lost both matches by three points.
West Coast’s losing second halves (second half result/game result):

Rachel Wang - SAVE US B4 IT’S TOO L8
May 2021 - Rachel Wang is an artist and songwriter with a focus on creating music that blurs the lines between pop and alternative. The creative possibilities of her sound  are truly endless, and she is always ready to embrace new creative challenges, allowing her music to reach new creative depth and explore new settings, without compromising on her vision. Recently, Rachel set out to release a fantastic new studio work titled SAVE US B4 IT’S TOO L8. The California-based artist managed to set the benchmark really high with this production, as the album is a really good example of how diverse her sound can be. Rachel’s vocal tone is dream-like and mesmerizing, perfectly matching the immersive quality of the instrumentals in her tracks.
The release features eight singles, and there is even room for a collaboration with Glooms and the second track, “Prisoner.” The release kicks off with a track titled “Angel Of Death.” As the title might hint at, there is a darker overtone to this song, but overall, the melodies and rhythms are far from being gloomy and brooding. There is a lot of energy to this release! The aforementioned track “Prisoner” is definitely a cool change of pace, offering another perspective and bringing a different touch due to the collaboration with Glooms. I love albums with at least a collaborative track, because I feel they really bring a nice sense of diversity to a release, and this is definitely a good way to accomplish that. The song “Before You Go” stands out as one of my favorites on the album. The arrangement has a really good way to build momentum, and the song is truly special in terms of how it develops, with a nice emotional build-up. “Smoke Signals” and “FEELINGS” are a perfect middle ground for the album, offering a more melodic perspective. The latter especially, has an amazing piano progression, which goes really well with the trap-inspired drum beat that comes along later in the song. The track “ANIMAL” has a really dark vibe to it, with a huge, boomy synth bass and some gnarly 808 tones that are really powerful. The dark and heavier instrumental has a really cool contrast with Rachel’s melodic voice, giving the song a really cool bittersweet taste. “THE GRAVES” is a mellow piano ballad and it is a very emotional song, starting with poetic lyrics like “Looking at the stars and I think of you.” I enjoy the dreamy, atmospheric sound of this track, as well as showcasing how Rachel can pour hear heart out when she sings. The choruses are irresistible, with a really clever vocal pattern that brings more energy to the arrangement. Last but not least, “NIGHTMARES” is a wonderful conclusion to this album. The vibe of this release kind of makes me think of songs like “Changes” by XXXTENTACION, especially in how the piano and strings have such a big, cinematic feel!
Overall, this album is really fantastic, and it feels like each track has something special to offer. This production is balanced, direct and forward-thinking, with a sound that feels refreshingly modern, yet organic and natural like a classic from the golden age of modern trap, but also exploring genres such as indie-pop and electro. In an industry where many musicians seem to follow the same age-old cliches, it is refreshing to come across an artist who uses music as a mean of self-expression, connecting with the audience on a much deeper level. Rachel is a one-of-a-kind performer, and this album feels very unique and different from most of what you’ll hear out there today, in the best possible way!
This release comes highly recommended if you are a fan of artists as diverse as Billie Eilish, Clairo, Tate McRae, Sia, Halsey, or Dua Lipa, only to mention a few.
Find out more about Rachel Wang and listen to SAVE US B4 IT’S TOO L8 on Spotify, Apple Music, or any other major digital streaming service on the web today.
