I FINISHED! I somehow was able to finish my brimstone and roses piece before the series finale! It’s movie night for the trio! Glad I was able to slip Ginger in there somehow ha ha.

I’ve been reading B&R for a year or two and it’s just fantastic. I gave it the “concepts” tag because the whole premise of summoning a demon to avoid dealing with your ex is just *chef’s kiss* and it’s so well-executed, just such a fun story. It might be because I haven’t read it all the way through in a while, but the ending felt a little rushed, which is too bad, because I absolutely adore Bea and Laz’s relationship growth (but maybe I’m just in denial about the story being over). They have such satisfying chemistry together and it is soooo fun to see how their relationship and trust in each other develops over time. I also love it when the dynamic is the most flawless woman you’ve ever seen and her loserboy partner. I just think it’s cute. (Also sidenote shoutout to one of the only!!! comics on my entire list with a fat main character?? And she’s incredible?? I would like more of this, please)

The only points this one missed for me were 3) the backgrounds are drawn by an artist (no hate, no shade, I get it, but it does detract from the appeal a bit, personally) and 19-20. I ended up going half and half for “made me think a lot” and “made me feel a lot,” because, as I say, it’s been a minute since I’ve read it all start-to-finish, but it had point 18) excitement, because I was always soo excited when it updated, so I know that at least counts for a bit of point 20. Also this is the first one in a while with point 16: extra gorgeous tasty art. It’s freaking scrumptious. Decadent. Five-course meal. Highly recommend.

Theory: if there was a plot twist of both Lazareth and Ginger having to go back to the underworld, I absolutely think they'd pass each other by and Lazareth would just have the sudden urge to go pet her before reminding himself "??? do you wanna get killed??" Meanwhile Ginger would instinctively walk towards him to jump in his arms before remembering she can't do that anymore. :((

I got seats in all the classes I need for next school year! Now I don’t feel so pressured to look for more. I ran a few errands here and there getting my nails done with my mom and eating lunch outdoors. I’m all caught up with brimstone and roses which is such a good read. I really didn’t expect how well written the story would be and the art style is just beautiful.

Currently looking to become a tutor for chemistry, biology, or physics. I’ve been a student for as long as I can remember and think that assuming the role of a teacher will help me master my subjects.
