Rules are you gotta tag 10 followers you want to get to know better. I was tagged by @ingoldamn who is just an A+ human.
Name: Bridgette
Nicknames: bridge, bridgey, b, smidgette, bridgelette. My favorite nickname I ever got to stick for someone else was for my littlest brother, whom my entire family now refers to as “Robespierre” or “Robes”.
Gender: woman
Star sign: sun sign: libra. Mercury, venus, pluto, and ninth house: scorpio I forget everything else.
Height: 5’5’’ about
Sexual Orientation: who knows
Hogwarts House: slyyyyyytherin. And horned serpent. INTP. I was a great consultant/strategist back in the day. (“the day”: before grad school.) (I say with a weathered and creaky voice over my ancient and recently emptied tumbler of whiskey and a faraway look in my glassy eyes)
Favorite color: black, gray, oxblood, red
Favorite animal(s): every single animal I love animals. I suppose I do not bond with bugs that do not have my best interests at heart.
Average hours of sleep: I don’t sleep I just etc.
Cat or Dog person: I probably watch slightly more cat videos.
Favorite Fictional Character(s): I have trouble with this because I instantly bond with everything from inanimate objects (see: Bruce the phone, Lucius Again the laptop and successor to Lucius Prime, and Bedelia the bike) to babies on the bus so any list of fictional characters is inordinately long.
When I was a kiddo and strictly read from D’Aulaire’s Book of Norse Mythology and D’Aulaire’s Book of Greek Mythology, my favorite gods were Loki and Artemis and Athena.
Upon reflection, most have my favorite characters have taken after one or more of them in some large way.
(One time for Halloween when I was small, my brother and I begged to go as Loki and Artemis, respectively. My mom tried her hardest. We looked amazing but everyone thought I was an elf and my little brother (not Robes) was a devil—we had copied from the book, where Lo is associated with fire and Artemis wears a cloak and a lot of moon jewelry. We have both been disillusioned with life and others since that fateful evening.)
(haha jk we’ve both always been little misanthropes)
Number of blankets I sleep with: one and it is all mine; m has his own. I sleep in a very specific and elaborate position and its construction materials cannot be shared.
Favorite Musician(s): david bowie forever and always
Dream trip: Iceland or northern Norway; I just want to hike and write and look at stars in the snow.
Dream job: writer. Of fiction, I should specify; I am technically a writer now and have been before.
When was this blog created: 2011 it has seen me through five cities and three countries and two universities.
Current follower count: no
When did your blog reach its peak: I’m choosing to interpret this as ‘its peak of pictures of people with exceptional bone structure’ and I’d say probs around 2013; I’ve since shifted my interests to pictures of the ocean and weird monstrous things, and animals doing amusing things.
What made you join Tumblr: my friend Hannah back in the ole undergrad days. (“the ole undergrad days”: when I had a huge closet Jacuzzi bathtub you could walk through to the next room. The complex was vaguely rustic-themed and from the seventies and had this indoor tropical greenhouse that made the whole place look post-apocalyptic, and was the cheapest place in town you could have your own room in. Man I loved Closet Tub. I think of it fondly still.)
I tag: you know I usually don’t do these things because I worry about tagging, because I am worried about being annoying and/or upsetting the tenuous bond between followers, which makes no sense cognitively or otherwise because I personally love being tagged and love reading about / getting to know other people. And yet still this hesitation. I’m going to think about this and will edit when I reach a conclusion.
In the meantime, please consider yourself tagged if you have ever had or would like to have a closet Jacuzzi, or if you abuse parantheticals like the above text.
