Tough week in 🇺🇸politics. Most important thing I learned: 10 yr old Liza Kavanaugh prayed for her father’s accuser. “Truly I tell you, unless you change & become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:4 #BrettKavenaugh #ChristineFord

Brett Kavenaugh implicates that he is unable to answer Kamala Harris’s question (”Did you speak about the Mueller investigation with anyone at Kasowitz, Benson and Torres”) due to ignorance: “I don’t know who works there”, he says, as an explanation for why he cannot answer the question.
This sentence, “I don’t know who works there” is ambiguous between a number of readings, discussed in the literature on embedded questions: 1. for each person x who works there, BK knows that x works there, and he knows that nobody else works there (Strongly Exhaustive)
2. for each person x who works there, BK knows that x works there, and BK does not have false beliefs about people who don’t work there (Intermediate Exhaustive)
3. for each person x who works, there, BK knows that x works there (Weakly Exhuastive)
But regardless of which of these readings is chosen, Kavenaugh’s statement does not constitute a convincing argument that he lacks sufficient knowledge to answer the question. Even if we take the weakest of these readings (#3), he seems to imply that in order to answer the question, he would have to know for each person who works there, that they work there. When in fact all that is required for a “yes” answer is that he know someone who works there, know that they do, and know that he talked to that person. For a “no” answer, you actually do have to know everyone who works there, but if you don’t, and there’s nobody who you knew worked there and talked to, then you can just say “Not to my knowledge.” I think it was pretty transparently uncooperative.
It’s a tricky dodge though. Kamala Harris can’t say “You don’t need to know everyone who works there in order to answer the question,” because that presupposes that the answer is yes. She can’t say, “So, not to you knowledge, then?” because that’s leading the witness.
It might have made sense for her to try and ask, “Do you know anybody who works there?” and “Of the people you know work there, did you talk to any of them about the Mueller investigation?” This would at least have disarmed his objection.

LIAR: Cory Booker Exposed as Complete Fraud Over Kavanaugh Documents Townhall.com ^ | September 6, 2018 | Katie Pavlich
Earlier today 2020 presidential candidate and New Jersey Democrat Senator Cory Booker made quite the scene at Judge Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation hearing.
Daring Republicans to expel him from the Senate, Booker vowed to knowingly break Senate rules by releasing confidential Committee documents and accused Kavanaugh of having something hide.
DOCUMENTS: --Rs say the "committee confidential" docs were cleared for release before 4 a.m. --Ds say the docs were cleared for release at about 10:31 a.m. this morning --REGARDLESS, they were cleared for public release before Booker and Hirono posted them on their websites.— Seung Min Kim (@seungminkim) September 6, 2018
.@CoryBooker: “Apply the rule and bring the charges.” https://t.co/akz4tCODv8 pic.twitter.com/kwsce9btmG— Fox News (@FoxNews) September 6, 2018
But it turns out the documents Booker "heroically" released, even saying this was his "Spartacus moment," had already been cleared for publication at 4 a.m. this morning.
Therefore, he didn't actually break any rules. He was simply grandstanding.
So, now we're being told (by Committee staffers) that SenBooker knew BEFORE he made these statements - that the documents in question had already been cleared for release. That's a significant claim to make, so I've asked his office directly. Will update if/when I get response. https://t.co/lNxx3wEVCZ— Shannon Bream (@ShannonBream) September 6, 2018
Others were cleared last night.

Further, it takes 2/3 of the Senate to expel a Senator. Booker knew going into this morning's hearing that would never happen and made his statements anyway.
Booker's grandstanding fell apart faster than his story about his non-existent friend "T-Bone."
