"Damn. That does sound nice, maybe I'll think about it after the summer's over." It was one of their busiest times and even if she was comfortable leaving (which she wasn't) there was no way she could leave them right now. "I think you're giving them all too much credit," she said with a quick laugh and a wink. "I'm kidding, there a good bunch." Most of them anyways. There were a few questionable ones but no matter what she did there were always a couple that just didn't seem to get it. "Not that I know of, they don't tell me a ton though. I could see Anybody Records snatching them up though." Lottie pointed to a guy to the left of the stage. "That's one of their new scouts, he got a drink a little while ago." She continued to talk while she prepared Brenna's drink, multi-tasking and grabbing some money as she went along. "Just don't steal any of my employees this time, I'm short-staffed as it is." Lottie teased and pushed her paloma toward her.
Brenna laughs, eyes rolling a little at Lottie's words. "Yeah, it's the newest fad. I'm surprised you haven't heard of it yet. No e-mails, no work calls, absurd amounts of alcohol. Meaningless sex with a stranger staying on the same beach as you," she raises an eyebrow, grinning. "You should look into it some time. You have fire extinguishers here. Your staff would figure it out." Her nails drum against the bar top while she waits for Lottie to check who was up next, her expectations admittedly high. It was rare that she was met with a bust when she came here, and she was hopeful to keep the streak going. "Is anyone else looking at them?" She asks, her nosey nature kicking in. "I'll take a paloma when you get a second."

Honest question, does ever first born fankid of yours have the pressure of living up to their parents legacies?
Not all of them, mostly just Lily and Azura. Paulina is more disappointed in herself at her plant magic being weaker than normal and feels a distance between her and her mom, especially after her little brother was shown to be great at plant magic. But she doesn’t feel like she has a legacy to fulfill.
Brenna Nöel (my Lava Scissors/Lord Dominator x Hekapoo, daughter) also doesn’t feel like she seriously needs to be a villain like her mom or a bureaucrat/royal advisor like her other mom. She mostly just wishes she had actual friends then bots but while she knows it’s cause other people are scared of her mom (Dominator), she doesn’t hate her for it and still loves her because she knows her mom is also kind at times rather than just a big scary villain.
I can’t think/remember any other firstborn fankids atm that this’d apply too (maybe Minerva, the Starkie kid but she just wishes to control her wild magic rather than trying to be a good ruler like her mom)

a starter for the dearly beloved @reiignonme <3
❈ — "I know you're there."
Her voice is even and calm, even as feet swiftly and almost noiselessly move about the training ground while she practices with a sword on a dummy of sorts. There's a smirk tugging at her lips as the blade swipes across the dummy's chest with ease.
"I feel as if your gaze could burn a hole in the middle of my chest should you continue to stare any longer...darling..." Looking over her shoulder, bright blue eyes fall upon the male standing far enough away to not be detected under normal circumstances, but Brenna wasn't normal by any means.

@wonderhevrts asked: ≋ ( Brenna&Otto )
❈ — After a few weeks of travelling and gathering enough coin, Brenna and Otto were able to get a room at an inn to relax in for a couple of days. The area was quiet, quaint, and the people didn’t seem so bad so far. They hadn’t experienced any strange looks from anyone while eating in the downstairs tavern; it almost seemed as if no one cared about who they were which worked well in their favor.
Once done, they took the liberty to spend extra coin to have a much needed bath. The tub was large enough for them both, with Brenna resting back against Otto’s firm chest with her eyes shut in contentment. The warm water soothed her muscles while Otto’s gentle touch lulled her into a calmed state. After sitting that way for a bit, the witcher broke the silence between them.
“If I didn’t have a duty to uphold, I’d want to settle down somewhere far away and do this every night with you.”

@taleswritten did not ask for another starter but they're getting one from Brenna!
❈ — "Are you alright?" Incredibly light hair was what caught Brenna's eye while riding her horse. Perhaps to the naked eye, anyone passing by wouldn't have taken notice to the girl off the side of the road, clearly trying to hide from something. But being a witcher had its advantages like highly advanced sight.
Stopping Alistair with a tug on the reins, she got off him and very slowly approached her. "I will not harm you." Brenna assured gently. "Are you in need of assistance? Are you hurt?"

the incomparable @taleswritten liked for a starter with Brenna!
❈ — "Well well, if it isn't a fellow witcher..."
Hooves stop in their tracks and a soft whinnying sounds from the horse as the reins are lightly tugged on. Brenna sat atop Alistair and patted his neck gently as she smiled down at Geralt.
"It's been a while, Geralt. All is well, I hope..?" A leg swung over the side of Alistair and Brenna jumped off to then secure him to a nearby tree. She walked back to Geralt and stood by the fire he had set up.
"I actually just came from a village down the road a few miles back. Had a contract out for a missing person supposedly taken by a 'massive beast'. Said it had wings but that's all they could remember." A soft sigh escapes her as she reaches her hands out to warm them a little. For a summer evening, it was a bit cooler than usual.
"And what about you? What's got you out here?"

@reiignonme asked: { outdoors } : our muses have sex in the woods. TO BRENNA / FROM AEGON I 👀
❈ — The breeze brushing against exposed skin was pleasant, as was the feel of soft grass on her back. Bared legs wrapped around a fit waist while nails dug into strong shoulders. Teeth were bared and marking their territory. Brenna could feel that pleasing coil in the pit of her stomach growing but her stamina was far better than most; she would be able to hold out a little longer. The feel of Aegon sliding in and out of her was pure bliss, the sounds he made in her ear were beyond primal and lewd, and only aroused her more knowing just how much she pleased him.
Feeling playful, the witcher turned them over so Aegon was on his back with her sitting nicely on his hips. Hands slid up his arms and interlocked with his own to bring them above his head, just as full lips tug up into a cheeky smirk while rolling her hips slowly to tease him. "My turn now..."

@reiignonme asked: ❛ A gift for your travels as you leave us. ❜ The Conqueror's head inclined to the small bags on the nearby table for Brenna to look at. ❛ T'is mostly food, but there are ingredients you may need for potions. Some salves for healing but I know you do not need it, but please accept it all the same. You may look through if you wish ... ❜ Aegon said kindly, drawing out the time until she had to leave.
❈ — Brenna knew it wouldn’t be easy to say goodbye. In fact, she knew it would be one of the hardest things she’d ever have to do. Brenna wasn’t like how most witchers were portrayed: heartless, emotionless, careless. Even evil. In fact, Brenna was quite the opposite. She felt more than she ever led on, and there were a few that she came across in her travels that bore witness to that. Aegon was one of them. Over time, she’d grown quite comfortable around the conqueror enough to let down her guard. Brenna even began to refer to him as a friend, which was lovely considering she didn’t have many because of her occupation.
Yes, leaving him and his home would leave a hole in her heart. That much was for certain.
“There was no need to go through all this trouble for me.” The witcher took a step closer to the bags and opened one, inspecting the contents as Aegon had suggested. She smiles warmly as her head lifts and her eyes meet his own. “Tis appreciated all the same. I thank you, Your Excellency. I can assure you these items will not go to waste. Especially that sweet bread you’ve introduced me to.”
Stepping closer to Aegon, Brenna’s smile softens as nimble fingers play with a thread on her sleeve. “I know not when I’ll be back this way, but please know that this isn’t goodbye. I can never fully say goodbye to you, or your home. You and mostly everyone I’ve come across here have been so generous and kind, and that means more to me than you could ever know. I will return, it’s only a matter of when...” But the thought of leaving, for the first time, didn’t feel right to her. Even if she believed she’d overstayed her welcome.

-moved to the street fair-
"No, it goes over there," Lottie shouted over the din of the crowd at the employee putting a keg in the wrong place for the second time that day and there was no way she was going to move another one. Her arms were tired and after loading everything from the Tin Roof out to the front for the street fair she was sure she strained a muscle in her back. "Hey, darlin'," she gave Brenna a nod when she noticed she'd pulled up a spot at the bar. Always a sight for sore eyes, as most of the Cabrera's were. Good genes in that bunch. She let out a loud laugh when she caught the question the other woman posed. Lottie handed a drink to a customer and nodded for the bartender to take over now that their break was done. "A vacation? I don't think I've heard that word before, is it a new thing?" She gave her a quick wink and rested her chin lightly in her hand. "I don't have time for a vacation, I'd be too afraid the place would go up in flames. Uh, let me check," she popped a look at her phone with the performer list on it. "I've heard good things, they're a queer pop artist from South Dakota. Chasing that American dream. I think you might dig them." Not that she was sure what anyone was looking for those days. "You want something to drink, doll?"
closed: @lottieramirez setting: tin roof
While talent scouting isn't technically in Brenna's job description, she sees no problem in keeping an ear to the ground about anyone up and coming or unsigned. What's a label without their artists, right? If their family and company is going to continue to be at the top of the food chain, everyone has to go above and beyond. Which is why Brenna finds herself frequenting the bars and cafes that offer open mic nights or set spots for lesser known artists. Gives her a chance to pounce before someone else a chance to snatch them up. Admittedly, they had found a lot of great artists and bands at the Tin Roof which was why Brenna had made a point to stop in at least once a week and get on friendly terms with the staff. "You work too hard, Lottie. When was the last time you took a vacation?" She greets, spotting the owner behind the bar — it was a strange sight, most bar owners either completely MIA or locked in an office in the back, but Brenna appreciated it. "Tell me you've got someone good coming on next."

❈ — Her smirk turns into a grin at his quip. The king always managed to somehow, some way, make her smile since their first meeting. It seemed like it wasn't so long ago she was simply helping him when he needed it, nothing between them and no expectations other than doing a job and getting it done.
Time seems to have flown by and yet, every day since then has been a journey she'd never regret, and only wishes it will continue for many years.
Instead of going back to her training, the witcher instead finds another sword and walks over to where Aegon stood. Her gaze through her lashes acting as a way to tempt him while standing toe to toe with him. "Care to join me?"

❈ — Hesitation does not go unnoticed, yet the Griffin remains calm as she waits for the young girl to decide how to reply. Brenna does not hold it against her, for she is a stranger to her and owes her nothing. But if she knows Geralt and needs help, she would like to try and do so if the girl is willing.
Then the girl speaks, almost with conviction. And as Brenna thinks over her words, they don't seem to ring a bell.
"I unfortunately do not know what that means, young one. As you might know, the Wolf isn't one who invites many in and I am one of those many." She doesn't blame Geralt. Witchers keep most, if not all, information to themselves unless it proves absolutely necessary.
"I'm also unsure of his current whereabouts, but my tracking skills are up to par, so I will help you search for him if you'll allow me to. We need to get you somewhere safe. Out in the open like this and you're just a moving target."
Turning to her horse, the Griffin begins readying him for travel. "Alistair is friendly. You'd be able to ride him with no issue. Oh and, I'm Brenna. Unlike Geralt who is from the School of the Wolf, I am from the School of the Griffin. You do not need to tell me your name if you wish not to, though..."
@taleswritten
❈ — The question posed to her catches the Griffin off guard. How did this young woman know him? From what she could tell the few times they've been together, Geralt didn't associate with many unless necessary.
"I don't know if he considers me a friend, though I do know him." Brenna confirms with a soft smirk. "We've worked alongside each other a few times as our paths crossed. And call me curious, but he's not entirely social, which begs the question of how you know him...?"
Her eyes break away from the girl's and scans the area for any threats before returning to her. "Are you lost? Are you trying to search for Geralt?"
