Extra Extra! (various yandere x reader)
Trashy Journalist! Reader x Rich nepo! Yanderes
You were a journalist (if you can even call yourself that) for gossip rags, infamous for getting the scoop no matter the danger. So when the opportunity comes along to go to the exclusive Hail Mary college you take it. Your contact set you up with a fake identity and background to make sure youâd fit in just so. This was the school for the elite and a last ditch effort of parents to straighten out their kids before handing over the keys to the kingdom. While being higher education this place much more reflected high school with its strict class requirements and uniforms. Most people havenât even heard of it â itâs not even google-able, thatâs how exclusive this shit is. Cracking this case wide open would mean you and your parents would be set for life. Little did you know that this would change your life forever but not in any way you could fathom.Â
There was Clayton, one of the first friends you met when starting. He focused on sports and shared his American snacks with you. It was hard to smuggle that sweet sweet red 40 but it was worth it. Soon he asked you to come to his games, he played as many sports as he could get his hands on and excelled in all of them. Practically, wrote the book on golden retriever energy. The sexy southern drawl made sense since his family were frackers in the oil trade. Games turned into study sessions, into movie nights, into sleepovers. He was just a touchy guy, itâs not like it meant anything. It was hard to get the scoop on others without blowing your cover with him all up in your business, but he was protective in an older brother way that felt useful for now.Â
You knew Hendrix before you even met him. Somehow even though he was just about as old as you, he had already reached rock god status. He always knew a way to sneak out of class and a new place to hide a flask. Not to mention you could throw nearly any instrument at him and he could bang out a melody that could make a secret service agent cry. That isnât the only banging heâs fond of either. His extra circulars included Carmen, Tiffany, Pauline, Brooke, etc⊠He even tried to sway you the second time yâall bumped into each other. In a low moment you might have let it happen a time or two but that was the end of that. He was okay with putting an end to it as long as being friends was still on the table. Hend was a little gossip and loved to talk shit with you so you kept him around.Â
Arthur took more time to ware down than youâd like to admit. He began as your tutor in just one subject and then he realized that you were utterly useless in nearly all of them. Letting a dweeb like you under his care fail would besmirch his good name so he set aside a couple hours every day to go over the material with you. He was an academic at heart, a real old money type. Doesnât need to try for much of anything and can just skate by knowing he is better than everyone else. You were the first person not afraid of his title, when he tore into you- youâd give it right back. The study sessions got longer and eventually branched out from the library. Sometimes it was a cafe in town or a bookstore, maybe your dorm or his.Â
Brayden was a loud personality tolerated by few at this school. He was new money and not worth anyoneâs time. That is, except yours. His wealth may only go back a generation or two but his tree still has some bad apples and questionable soil. The good news is that heâs really actually brilliant! Unfortunately, heâs also spoiled beyond belief. He wants what he wants when he wants it. He texted you, like a lot. Memes, texts, u up?âs, anything and everything. He was clingy with a capital C. Heâs always leaving little gifts around for you. A little robot that dances for laughter, a watch that doesnât tell time but shows various pictures of him like a slideshow, even a camera disguised as a teddy bear. You failed to understand the inner machinations of his mind but couldnât help but respect it, weirdness and all.Â
Haruki actually walked you around your first day and stuck around ever since. He was an extrovert if youâve ever seen one. Despite his minimalist and conservative clothing style it didnât stop you from noticing the crazy ink he had all over his body. The tattoos peeked out around his neck and wrists even though he tried to cover it up as best as he could. He would have to try a lot harder if he wanted to hide the fact that he was primed to take over the yakuza for his father. It was hard to imagine this guy drawing blood, he was just so down to earth and chill. While his family was clearly suspect it seemed like he planned on doing things his way and while you can respect it, it doesnât make for good ratings. When you tried to pull away he would always pull back just a little harder.Â
Liam was just a normal guy. It seemed that the fame and riches didnât effect him at all. His family had a generic generational wealth of one patriarch using the lastâs money to create a business and passing it down, wash, rinse, repeat. While this appears like a dead end, thereâs a sort of edge to him that keeps you coming back for more. He knows the secret passage ways in the school and takes you through them regularly. Sometimes to get extra dessert from the mess hall after hours or to over hear a conversation in the den, he was a real one and usually down for just about anything. And I mean anything. It definitely bothered him that he didnât have any particular skills or any real motivations but you were supportive in a way he wasnât used to. It never really mattered if he tried because there was no real winning or losing. You were his rock in his uncertainty.Â
Your English professor preferred that you call him by his first name, which then he clarified that he wanted the whole class to because if it were just you that would be weird and not appropriate. Anyway, Lysander was tweed jackets and Oxford shoes. A typical round glasses wearing teacher. He helped you out with a point or two on a test and sometimes you have tea with him at his house just off campus. You helped him find his lost cat one evening and he found your company preferable to the silence (which wasnât usual for him). The more times you visit him the more you get the feeling that heâs hiding something though. You have a radar for this of course. Itâs not something he wants anyone to know, which meant you were going to do anything in your power to find out. He was of humble origins like you but a story is a story nonetheless.Â

Ian Gulbin, New York inmate 14B3263, born 1982, incarceration intake in November 2014 at age 32, sentenced to life, scheduled for parole consideration November 2037
Murder, 2nd Degree
Ian Gulbinâs murder case should never have been about him, prosecutors said.
Instead, it is about 1-year-old Brayden, who was violently slammed into his crib by Gulbin just because he wouldnât stop crying.
It is about 8-year-old Mikey Hogan, who doesnât yet grasp why heâll never see his younger brother again and fears Gulbin will come after him one day.
And it is about Braydenâs mother, Anastasia Hogan, whose infant daughter with Gulbin will never meet the brother her father killed.
âI always saw greatness in you,â Anastasia Hogan wrote Gulbin in a letter read by First Assistant District Attorney Dawn Catera Lupi in Oneida County Court. âI never thought you could be capable of something so horrific. Who would have thought that you could go from teaching Brayden how to walk to something so terrible and hateful?â
Gulbin who believed at the time that Brayden was his son until DNA tests proved otherwise â was sentenced to 24 years to life. However, this came only after Gulbin pulled the focus back onto himself at the expense of the family members he once said he wanted to spare from any further suffering.
Gulbin previously claimed he was coerced into pleading guilty, allegations another judge recently ruled were contrived. Gulbin then admitted that he had selfishly lied after being influenced by other people.
âI was scared to go to prison,â Gulbin told Judge Michael L. Dwyer, noting that he never meant for Brayden to die. âI tried to extend this thing as far as possible.â
A statement by the father of Braydenâs brother touched upon the future that Gulbin might face behind bars.
âJust know that you are a low-life criminal and are going to jail with the big boys now, as a baby killer," Lupi read from Michael Hogan's letter. âNo one there likes criminals that have committed a crime like yours.
While Lupi described Gulbin as a âmonster,â Gulbinâs new attorney, Jeremy Alexander, said his client will always be haunted by what heâs done.
âI hope heâs able to find some sort of meaning in life from this point forward,â Alexander said. âThere is value in redemption and forgiveness to be had.â Braydenâs mother even wrote in her statement to Gulbin: âI hope and pray that you become a better person, for Brayden.â
Dwyer finished by asking Gulbin: âThirteen months and 16 days. What do those words mean to you?â
âEverything,â Gulbin said about the length of time Brayden was alive before he was killed through Gulbinâs âstupidity.â

hey honey idk if you got the other ask but I need some advice.
there's this boy, i'll call him Brayden. in fourth grade he was mean to me, so I didn't like or speak to him much. then I homeschooled and he moved 5 hours away. we met with another friend and my brother at the lake. he was super kind to me (not to mention super cute too). and I was low-key simping. then in the car on the way home he told me that he used to have a crush on me and that he still kinda did. looking back on it now, he was high-key flirting the whole time at the lake. but I don't have permission to date and he has a girlfriend. but I really like this guy t-t
(i'll dm you so you know who I am, I just didn't wanna go off anon lol)
omg- okay, first of all, people change, esp cuz 4th grade was so long ago and you guys were kids. he totally could have became a new person now, and even better. ik a lot of kids were mean to people they liked as a kid and just kinda jerks in general so try to be nice when remembering how he used to act but like, 2 things stand out to me rn 1. did he ever apologize for how he acted?? did he acknowledge that just cuz he had a crush didn't mean he should have been mean to you?? 2. if he has a girlfriend, why is he flirting with you- he should be loyal. if he really liked you, he would have broken up with his girlfriend... hes practically cheating on her right now.... and if you get with him, it might be you he's cheating on next. he might just leave you or get with some other person while you guys are still dating and thats not fair to you or his current girlfriend imo, this is a major red flag and ik it can be really hard to be unbiased when someone is into you because it can be one of the most exciting feelings ever and makes you feel good about yourself but make sure you treat and judge him like you do anyone. just because he's cute doesnt mean he gets special treatment try to see if youre excusing certain behaviors cuz you like him because its a very common and easy thing our subconscious does also jsjdfjheknjh ty for coming to me for advice đ„ș <33 and ill await your dm so i can know more hehe

1303 - A Discovery of Soulmates
youtube
At the age of 41, Wendell begins to miss the companionship of his wife, Alaina, who passed away three years prior, and wonders what their life would be like now if she had survived. He is glad to see his son and daughter both happy in their married lives, but wishes things had turned out differently for him.
The Spring harvest is a success and the village men gather at the local inn to celebrate. There, Wendell is struck with love at first sight when he meets Shanna, the sister of one of the farm hands that helped with the harvest. Though she is 14 years his junior, she is equally taken with him, and the two spend the night talking, laughing, and engaging in other⊠private activities.
After the fateful encounter, life continues at the farm with Wendell wishing to remarry but unsure of how his children will react to his young paramour. The decision is taken for him when Shanna arrives with news that she is pregnant. A wedding is organized in a hurry, and they are married in a small, private ceremony on the Barrow farm.
Meanwhile in the Baker household, Cecilia gives birth to a strong and healthy little girl they name Katharine. For the first time in three years, our families are spared any heartbreak and can celebrate Wendell's marriage without a hint of gloom.
Frederik and Rosemary's three children, Stefanie, Brayden and Frederik Jr, are growing quickly, and Rosemary announces she is pregnant again. With the arrival of Shanna and her soon-to-be-born child, the house is getting crowded but funds are too low to make an expansion. Thanks to Frederik's woodworking, the Barrows manage to save enough money to buy their first hen and rooster chicks. It's a small step, but a sure one towards financial stability and making more room for their growing family.
Births: Katharine Baker
Deaths: None!

Find the Word Game IX
(Double Feature)
tagged by: @druidx!! my words: basis, boyfriend, bedroom, breath, rack, vehicle, trust, scan tagging: @drippingmoon, @sleepy-night-child, @ashen-crest, @zmwrites, @sleepyowlwrites, @drabbleitout, @oh-no-another-idea, @pertinax--loculos, and anyone who wants to buy my books your words: weakness, despise, reach, relative, solve, arrange
basis (Meridian)â
"I get it." [Warren] sighed. "Your life is your life, now. You can do literally anything you want with it, and doing something to earn money while also fulfilling your purpose is never a bad thing. If you're looking for my blessing or something, you've got it."
"It would mean relocating," Scot said. "Possibly on a permanent basis."
"Nothing's permanent when it comes to âââ." Warren smirked. "We'll see each other around. We can communicate. I'm not dumping this friendship, so we're clear."
Scot looked as if he wanted to say something, but refrained, and Warren wondered if he'd wanted to voice his exact thought at that momentâhe was the only friend he had left.
Warren extended a hand, and Scot took it.
boyfriend (Rebirth)â
"I lost a lot. I'll probably never see Esther again, and myâŠBrayden."
Thrive propped his heels up on the desk and reclined in his two-legged chair. He slid his finger against a smooth button on the device and released it.
"âSee Esther again, and myâŠ"
Every time. He never touched the recording except for that exact moment every time without fail. He hated the impulse but he couldn't stop it no matter how hard he tried. The instinct for Warren to refer to Brayden as his boyfriend was something Thrive in no way blamed him for, but it still stung, and for reasons he could not understand, he opted to punish himself for it on the regular.
"âŠAnd maybe I would've found a better life than the one I had before I met you, but you are the life I needed, E.T."
Thrive looked at the door again, unable to hear the murmuring anymore.
bedroom (Warpath)â
Surprised, Cascidi passed his fingers over his bottom lip. "I've rented a room for the duration of my Node stay."
"Will I get acquainted?"
Cascidi's eyes traveled down Warren and back up once more. "There's something about you I can't get over."
"Chemistry, baby," Warren purred, sidling up to him. "We doing this or what?"
Cascidi's rented room was opulent and modest all at once; reasonably sized and lusciously decorated. Half the size of the Halcyon penthouse but just as luxurious. Warren didn't even realize he'd absconded with the champagne glass entirely until his back hit the bedroom door and it slipped out of his fingers, bouncing harmlessly onto the thick carpet beneath their feet.
breath (Aurora)â
Thrive stopped in front of [Warren], cautiously pulling the hood of his cloak off his own head before reaching up to smooth his fingers across Warren's cheekbones to clear the tears he'd tried so hard to hold at bay.
"Damn," Warren muttered, embarrassed.
Genni cleared her throat between them, and she sounded far away. "Orthrive'poliea. Protector of Tey under the Oath of Caala."
"Yes," he said, voice low. He kept his eyes locked with Warren's, and he smiled warmly at Warren's flushing face.
"You are here to ceremonially bind yourself in the eyes of Consortium law to Warren Levi Cougar. This will tie you in heart, mind, and soul, and here you promise to love him with your every breath, to hold him in your power for as long as you both are alive. Say your piece."
rack (Meridian)â
"Nah, nah," Warren moved to get out of the tub, grabbing a towel from the hand-carved wooden rack beside it and throwing it around his waist. "Thrive, we agreedâ"
"I know," Thrive muttered, tipping his head onto the back of the tub.
"We agreed we weren't gonna let the burden of raising the babies fall onto âââ."
"It's one morning." Thrive flexed his hands, apparently in no hurry to rectify the situation. "They wanted to help us. Am I mistaken, or were you the one who kept giving me ultimatums about letting âââ take over the brunt of running this planet while I spent time with you?"
Warren slowed his rush to pull on his jeans. "Okay, yeah...but that's different."
"The difference is a whole planet versus a child."
"Look, I justâŠ" Warren gestured to the door. "Whenever I'm home, I like waking [Thoeala] up. I like getting her breakfast ready, I like seeing that tiny alien face light up when she sees me, I like our morning routine. Sue me."
Thrive smiled, draping his arms over the edges of the tub. "This suits you."
vehicle (Rebirth)â
The resulting jolt caused one of the two graha to fall out of the open shuttle. Thrive caught them by the back of the neck and tossed them into the vehicle beside their companion, who'd been pressed into the wall by centripetal force.
He signaled to Sussa and glided into the shuttle after them, planting his feet firmly on the floor while she put a stop to the spinning. Thrive marched to the control console and checked the engines.
"Overloaded. We'll be taking the difficult way down." He turned to the cowering graha. "Where's Ysha?"
They spat obscenities at him in a graha dialect, brandishing their weapons at him and Sussa. She knocked a club out of one of their hands.
"You have a choice," Thrive said, firm, in their language and dialect without the help of the suit's translations. "Tell us where Ysha is located, or we run the shuttle into the ground. Whose side are we on today?"
The graha who lost his club began to advance toward Thrive in a burst of courage, only to be stopped short by the other graha belting him in the face hard enough to dislodge one of his large tusks. It bounced off the floor and zipped out of the shuttle.
trust (Eternal)â
"...Warren?!"
Warren looked up as Thrive's blown eyes met his, enraged and surprised and scared.
"Look," Warren stammered. "I...I can explainâ"
"You...IDIOT!!"
Warren grimaced and braced himself as Thrive marched over to him, lifted him by the shirt with both fists, and shoved him against the wall. Tiny pieces of glass jammed themselves deeper into his skin.
"Why, Warren?!" Thrive growled, real hurt and shock in his voice. The rest of the crew stopped at the end of the hall to investigate the commotion. "Tell me why you refused to trust me, now out of all times, when I needed you to trust me more than I have ever needed you to trust me!"
"Because I'll follow you to the ends of the universe and back," Warren shot, blinking back the strobing white spots and his arm going numb. "Even if it means walking directly into the fires of hell, or facing the eliyi, or the Emmuli, or anything else we could possibly imagine and even things we can't. You feel this fear? This terror right here, right now that you're taking out on me"âhe thumped the center of Thrive's chest with a fist to demonstrateâ"that's me, too, fucker, and for once in my goddamn life I'm being selfish about it. You're gonna need me here, and honestly I don't care what you thinkâI'm not leaving you ever again and you're not leaving me ever again, and you can fucking deal with it!"
scan (Eternal)â
R'lis looked like a greener, more colorful version of Earth from the last time Warren had seen it. The alien world orbited a star much like Sol, with one moon that Thrive told Varussa to approach instead of the main planet.
"They take their defenses seriously," Thrive told everyone on the bridge. "Their moon acts as a security hub of sorts. Their barrier is deployed from there and nobody can shut it down without extensive verification first, including the DNA of ten individuals living in various, undisclosed parts of the galaxy. At least, that's how they operated when I lived on Slodia."
"Did you say their barrier?" Emnophene said. "They have a barrier around their planet?"
Thrive approached the navigation console and made a few keystrokes, running an infrared scan on R'lis and its moon. A sharp shimmer encapsulated the space around the planet, red laser-like light curving and warping around it, cocooning it within a defense system unseen to the naked eye.
"Whoa," Warren said. "That's...incredible."

Hello ! May I politely inquire, if it hasn't already been answered, what you'd reckon Brayden sounds like?
Irrelevant to the query, I also really wanted to say I absolutely love his design. He's so cool and makes me feel represented as a black queer who really likes his archetypes of character. And also vampires. Love the vampiric blood dinosaur(?) thing too. Brayden's just so interesting that I don'r even know where to start, and I'm always enthusiastic to see more stuff about him :)
Thank you! it makes me happy that you feel that way ;UU;!!!
All I know vaguely for him, is mid/low tone with a hint of south african accent in there đ€

Starstruck (Part 7)
Tom's POV:
Once y/n left to help her mother in the kitchen, her brother and father turned their focus to me. In all seriousness, Hayden asked me "Why do you like our sister?" I lookeed at him and held eye contact before replying.
"I like your sister, because she is the most beautiful and pure person ever in this world." Brayden nods, whereas y/n's father remained still and looked me dead in the eye
"Listen here, son, I don't know how you were raised, or how you were taught to treat a lady, but if you ever hurt my daughter, I do something so bad even the devil will shudder." He spoke in a low voice, threatening me.
"Yes sir, I understand. I promise you that I would love her ith my entire heart." I told her father firmly. When I finally spot y/n coming form the kitchen I was so grateful.
Y/n's POV:
"Princess, can you go and get the boys round for dinner." My mother asked, finishing plating the last dish. I lefft the kitchen, however on the way back, I heard my dad threatening my poor Tommy. I could tell how grateful Tom was when he spotted me going back form the kitchen. "Dad, I thought you promised not to threaten the poor boy?" I asked slyly. "It wasn't a threat, princess, it was a warning. Anyways, is dinner ready? It smells so good." My dad replied and tried changing the topic.
"Yeah, it is. And Hayden, I made that tomato egg you liked so much, as for Brayden and you dad, I made the special potato." I annonced the dishes I had made and watched their eyes lit up with excitment.
When the boys gathered round the table, I went into the kitchen to help my mother with setting the table. A little while after I went, Tom joined me. "Hey baby, do you need any help?" He asked taking a couple of plates from my mother. "No not really. You could bring the dishes out though." I replied and caught sight of my mother looking at me witha stern expression.
"Look at you, princess, ordering you boyfriend around?" My mother remarked after she turned back to what she was doing.
"What? He asked, I never demanded him to come over and help me." I playfully debated with my mother.

Okay, but you guys know we can see you, right?
Like, Jews are extremely aware that the only conversion going on about antisemitism is not "Jews are saying it's antisemitic to co-opt and redefine 'Zionist,'" or "Jews are saying that the way we're talking about 'Zionists' is encouraging actual hatred and violence toward Jews regardless of political stance."
It's, "Israel wants Jews to think they aren't safe anywhere else! We need to stop antisemitism so Jews stop wanting Israel to exist!"
And all the stuff you suggest would be REALLY GREAT, ngl. It would be fucking SWELL if people stopped attacking synagogues: including yelling things at people walking toward synagogues, or assaulting them, or defacing synagogues, or calling in bomb threats for hundreds and hundreds of synagogues every week for months. No more KILLING would be just PEACHY. I support ALL of this.
But also, Jews are like any other marginalized group.
The way you make a space safe for any marginalized group is by listening to and believing what its members say about their own experiences and challenges. Centering their voices about issues that directly affect them.
What currently happens in I/P discourse is exactly the opposite. Which is to say, it ranges from knee-jerk dismissal to telling people to kill themselves.
Even just calling out extremely blatant antisemitism while maintaining your stance would be a great start. I have literally seen one (1) post in the past 6 months where non-Jews told someone being antisemitic to knock it off.
When a post has multiple notes that call for the death of Jews who have "the wrong opinion," like "I unironically hope every Zionist dies," and they're going unchallenged... the vibe is definitely, "my community set a bar for antisemitism once! but then it was too low, and someone tripped on it and broke it, and we threw it out."
Jewish culture, in particular, highly values discussion and debate. IMHO, the entire I/P discourse might be doomed as far as Making Jews Feel Safe goes, because it generally treats any kind of disagreement or discussion as if what the person had actually said was, "I like to eat Palestinian babies!"
(Pro tip for expert-level pushback against antisemitism: blood libel is not just the explicit statement that Jews eat babies. It's also the general sense that we might not LITERALLY EAT babies, but it's definitely more plausible that we SUPPORT that sort of thing than it would be with Brayden down the hall or Karen across the street.)
op turned off reblogs on this post for safety reasons but gave me permission to repost it because it's an important message.

SWAMP RABBITS GET POINT IN HOME OPENER
Stuart Rolofs notches three points in pro debut, Tyler Bird completes hat trick with the winner By: Mark Binetti, Greenville Swamp Rabbits GREENVILLE, SC â Stuart Rolofs announced his presence to the professional game with a three-point night in his debut, but Tyler Bird's hat trick, including the overtime winner, propelled the Orlando Solar Bears to a 5-4 win over the Greenville Swamp Rabbits on Friday night. Opening Night, presented by Bon Secours, before 6,658 fans to the Bon Secours Wellness Arena to kick off the team's 15th season. Rolofs' big night started at 8:39 of the first at the end of the Swamp Rabbits' first power play. Rolofs' initial shot was blocked in front of him. Still, he stuck with the rebound and slipped an attempt under the leg of Orlando goalie Ryan Fanti to give the Swamp Rabbits a 1-0 lead and himself his first professional goal (Bryce Brodzinski and Patrick Moynihan assisted, professional firsts for all involved). However, Orlando struck right back 53 seconds later when Ara Nazarian snuck the puck in close range of the net past Swamp Rabbits net-minder Dryden McKay, instantly tying the game at 1-1 (Jarrett Lee and Brian Chambers assisted). Patrick Moynihan, who collected his first pro point moments earlier, struck for his first professional goal to even the game. At 12:00 of the first, Parker Berge launched a blue line shot on a delayed penalty that was stopped by a body in front of the net. It came to Moynihan's tape, and he slammed it home without hesitation to put the Swamp Rabbits up 2-1 (Berge and Rolofs assisted, both professional firsts). Orlando wouldn't go down quietly and capitalized on special teams to draw the game even after one. On the fourth Swamp Rabbits power play, Alex Frye deflected the puck past the Swamp Rabbits last defender and went on a two-on-one break down the ice with Spencer Kersten. He kept it and slipped the puck past McKay's leg pads to tie the game at 2-2 with 1:01 left in the period. Orlando took the lead for the first time in the middle period, but both teams traded punches and were left deadlocked with 20 to go. Tyler Bird notched the first of his big night at 6:31 of the second, burying a Brayden Low pass from behind the net in the slot area to push Orlando to a 3-2 lead (Low and Robbie Stucker assisted). The Swamp Rabbits struck back late in the frame thanks to the veteran play of Tyson Fawcett. With 37.3 seconds remaining, Stuart Rolofs knocked a defender off behind the net and found Fawcett on the short side. He roofed it over Fanti's shoulder to square the game at 3-3 heading into the third (Rolofs and Berge assisted). The back-and-forth continued, and Orlando pulled the lead back again. Bird continued his big night with his second goal at 2:21 of the third period, potting a passing sequence from the slot area again to re-establish the advantage at 4-3 (Low and Aaron Luchuk assisted). Special teams reared their heads one more time, and Colton Young of Greenville evened the score again. With 6:03 left and the Swamp Rabbits on their fifth power play, Young took a drop pass from Carter Savoie and waltzed into the high slot. Uncontested, he fired a laser over Fanti's blocker to square the game at 4-4, forcing overtime (Savoie and Bobby Russell assisted). Bird finished his hot start to the year at 2:07 of overtime, capitalizing on a scrambly sequence to McKay's blocker post and barely pushing the puck over the line to vault the Solar Bears to a 5-4 win (Luchuk and Scott Walford assisted). In his Swamp Rabbits debut, Dryden McKay stopped 32 of 37 shots on net (0-0-1-0). The Swamp Rabbits earned a point in their home opener for a third straight season with the overtime defeat. The Swamp Rabbits now look to next Friday, October 25th, for their first showdown against the South Carolina Stingrays. Puck drop for Project Search Night, presented by Bon Secours, is slated for 7:05 p.m. EST at Bon Secours Wellness Arena. 7:57 p.m
Home and out of the shower. The gray shirt I wore after I went swimming it came from the storage unit. And the orange came from the storage unit and I'm wearing it now. I wouldn't buy the orange one but I kinda like it. It fits nice.
I had fun..I unfortunately have no pictures with the kids this time. I had barely any auditory hallucinations.... but I had a lot of tactiles of bugs crawling on me... like a lot... and when my dad was talking about cataracts my eye started to hurt.
Psychosis never stops even when it is tamer. The sad part is if I didn't have so much anxiety about only God knows what I could spend more time there also if I had more money for gas... it's def a barrier...
I realize I could randomly text dad and Lori and be like hey I want to come over today are you free and they may or may not be but that would eliminate the night before anxiety at least. But yea the money barrier....
I want to spend more time with them I only got like 4 hours or so... I mean I feel like I barely got to talk to my dad I did get some time with Lori. I got some time with Connor. I got some time with Brayden. Not enough with any of them... but barely any time with brianna.
I want to go there more. Money really holds me back... I don't think my dad is doing great based on what Lori was saying. I mean with his rheumatoid arthritis he is on all kinds of meds and he is going wild with storage unit with skye he is low key becoming a small time hoarder... he doesn't hoard it he flips it but sometimes the stuff doesn't sell and then it piles up..
I know they aren't doing good on money bc it's all on Loris income and dad is out of work.... the house is half renovated. She seems fucking frazzled. I feel really bad. She's concerned about Dad. Worried about money and is trying really hard and everything going on for her is on hold and she can't feel bc shes feeling everything else.
I asked her how she was and it was all about Dad and the house and stuff. And the kids. That's the sad thing about being a parent. It's not about you. Everyone else is you. Your Identity is everyone in your family and with the economy and everything they aren't living it up great.
Dad seems to be losing it a little. Not really but kinda. Between costantly getting storage units and everything. I mean I wish I could be more involved. I want to be but I can't even sleep if I have a little anxiety.
I can't sleep without drugs. My life is a wreck and I'm trying so hard to just pick up the pieces.
As I sat there looking at Lori and dad and the kids (also noticing how much taller Brayden was since I last saw him and his first comment to me was it's been a long time... bc now they remember things their younger years are passing and I'm missing them) I sat there and the six feet under finale breathe me started playing in my head. I saw Ruth dying and everyone getting older and it's god i wish my mental health would improve.
I wish I could sleep without xanax. I wish I could be there.
I think about Erin a lot and how she lost her license and she still meets with me every fucking Monday.. and I always say to her, "time is the most valuable thing you can give someone." It is. I value her time. I value anyone willing to give me their time.
I just wish I was more mentally healthy so I could be around the kids and Lori and dad. I don't want to lose the time.
Time flies by. You could give me a million dollars and my life would improve but nothing is more valuable than someone giving you their time.
That's why if I kill myself, I was saying I hung out with John and Noah and my mother. They are willing to give me their time. No one else is.
Time is the most precious thing in the world. And we let it disappear as the days pass. And I think of the six feet under finale and go I'm letting my days pass and I know I won't live a long life with microsleep and psychosis. I might not even make it to 40.
Dad Lori and the kids would give me their time if I go to them and it makes sense.... but I'm poor.
I'm not joking that finale played in my head but with Brayden and Connor and brianna getting older and Lori and my dad getting older. And how the time is just disappearing as I try to cope with the mangled mess my neurons are in.

Vermont: 2023-24 America East Men's Basketball Champions
The University of Vermont men's basketball team found out in the third game the resolve it possessed â however incalculable it might be to truly measure such a trait.
The Catamounts' roaring comeback vs. Charleston on Nov. 16 at the Myrtle Beach Invitational was the first of five victories this season after trailing by 10 or more points.
"We just knew the kind of guys we had in the locker room, it didnât matter how far down we were," Vermont junior forward Ileri Ayo-Faleye said. "We had the type of dudes who were going to fight back and never give up."
No deficit too big to overcome. No foe too imposing to handle. Nothing, it seemed, could rattle this year's Catamounts.
And for the third straight March, Vermont's opponent in the America East championship game couldn't break that will. The Catamounts host this day, and own it, annually.
Behind Ayo-Faleye and Shamir Bogues' 94 feet of influence, the top-seeded Catamounts outlasted No. 2 UMass Lowell despite a halftime deficit for a 66-61 victory in the league's title game at sold-out Patrick Gym on Saturday, sealing a championship three-peat and booking yet another berth to the NCAA Tournament.
On a 10-game winning streak, the Catamounts (28-6) join the 2004-05 Vermont squad with three consecutive league tournament titles. The Catamounts, with 11 conference titles to extend their league record, have won five of the last six America East championships.
They'll learn their seed, site and opponent during Selection Sunday on CBS (6 p.m. eastern).
"This group is just so resilient and so tough and these two guys up here epitomize that as much as anybody in our program," 13-year UVM coach John Becker said of Ayo-Faleye and Bogues. "Really, they were the pillars of our program this year. The relentlessness, the athleticism, the instincts with which they play with is breathtaking. They brought so much joy to Catamount Country."
Bogues, a junior transfer guard from Tarleton State, was named the tournament's most outstanding player after collecting 15 points, nine rebounds, three assists, four steals and no turnovers in 32 minutes in Saturday's final. Ayo-Faleye, a second-year transfer from Rhode Island, posted nine points, five boards, four assists, two steals, a trio of blocks and no turnovers in 36 minutes.
"We were down at half and still found a way to win," said Ayo-Faleye, who earned a spot on the all-championship team. "We stayed the course, listened to the coaches, listened to the messaging and just applied it. This time of year itâs all about execution."
Said Bogues: "Our message coming in was to stay together. And thatâs what we did today."
TJ Long, also on the all-championship squad, sank four 3-pointers and totaled 14 points and three assists. Fifth-year senior Aaron Deloney added a dozen points thanks to a 7-for-8 effort at the foul line and one game-sealing layup, and Nick Fiorillo added 11 points for the Catamounts.
Cam Morris (17 points, 10 rebounds), Brayden O'Connor (14 points) and Ayinde Hikim (11 points) each reached double figures for Lowell.
Saturday's championship encapsulated much of Vermont's gutsy season. The Catamounts struggled to score around the paint, had stretches of shooting dry spells from their outside threats, and had to work from behind. But like they've done all winter, the Catamounts drummed up answers with elite-level defense and a plenty of timely and much-needed Long 3-pointers.
"Knowing that there is going to be adversity throughout the game, just weathering the storm and being able to come out with the win is the most important thing," Ayo-Faleye said. "Never getting too high or too low, just staying even and knowing that we are going to pull it out."
Vermont's early, 19-11 advantage was wiped out by inefficiency on offense â seven straight missed field goals â and the River Hawks (22-10) not only climbed back into contention but took a 32-29 margin into halftime. A year ago, Lowell also had a slight edge at the break before Vermont pulled away.
"UMass Lowell â give them the credit they deserve. Theyâve been a team thatâs been nipping at our heels for the last bunch of years," Becker said. "They are tough, they are experienced. They battled and we knew it was going to be a tough game. I have a lot of respect for (coach Pat Duquette) and his program."
In a game that featured 11 lead changes and five ties, Vermont created breathing room with a 13-4 spurt highlighted by a pair of Fiorillo triples and an Ayo-Faleye hook shot for a 60-50 lead with 4:01 left in regulation.
To start the separating run, Fiorillo poured in a 3-pointer following Ayo-Faleye's drive into the paint and kick to the wing. Ayo-Faleye also got a crafty and nimble reserve layup to drop through and Bogues steered in a baseline runner on back-to-back possessions.
Ayo-Faleye's hook shot, though, was the type of offense Vermont had been lacking throughout the year without a true post-up presence. The Catamounts won without that position last year with Robin Duncan and Dylan Penn, and have pulled off a similar scheme with Bogues' skillset.
"I thought he made the biggest play of the game," Becker said of Ayo-Faleye's hook.
The Riverhawks made one last push, uncorking a quick 5-0 spurt to trail 60-55 with 3:29 to go. After Fiorillo's two foul shots and Connor's basket made it a five-point game again, Morris missed both of his free-throw attempts and Deloney, the team leader, soared for the final dagger to secure the Catamounts' three-peat.
Instead of letting the clock tick down, Deloney saw an opening to the basket, and the speedy guard bolted to the hoop for a finish off the glass and 64-57 lead with 43 seconds left.
Counting the championship awarded following the cancellation of the 2020 final due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Deloney is now a four-time America East tournament champion, joining former teammates Ben Shungu and Robin Duncan.
"You just get to see kids grow up. AD is a man now. He was a little kid when he got here," Becker said.
Vermont also pulled off three in a row with three remarkably different squads. The Catamounts reloaded this winter after the graduation of four starters, just like they had to do following the 2021-22 campaign. Their program mission remains in sight: Advance to the second weekend at the NCAA Tournament.
"These guys want to go to the tournament and we want to win. We are trying to get this program to Sweet 16s," Becker said. "We are a national brand, we are nationally relevant. Iâm not going to let anyone in this program be comfortable with what we did or done. We want to do the next thing until I run out of goals and then Iâll retire if thereâs nothing left to shoot for.
"Iâm going to continue to try and dream big here."

Note
Hay Brayden and Brandon, I totally understand wanting to have a low-key birthday celebration, but given the last few weeks you all have had, cutting loose and having fun might just be what the doctor ordered.
We do have some time to think about it, our birthday is December 17th-Brandon
Yeah but I agree with them, having fun and letting loose sounds like a good idea-Brayden
