I once read a fic that involved a HC that Usopp did not really eat much before Sanji, at least not a good home-cooked meal.

Being an orphan who was constantly chased out but everyone for his shenanigans probably left him to fend for himself for years. Being underweight caused a lot of problems for Usopp's health, and mental state to an extent. Being so small contributed heavily to his anxiety about being weak.

Once Sanji is around, Usopp begins to actually put some weight on and not be an underweight stick. His hair grew more, he had more energy, slept better (somewhat), and overall just looked healthier.

All this to say, I think Usopp deserves to have a little chub in places. Evidence of being well taken care of.

Every letter needs a signature, right? While simply signing their name is common, sometimes a character feels that it's not enough (or they'd rather leave their name off the letter entirely). So they decide to sign off their letter by leaving a kiss mark at the end of it, with or without their name or signature. Though this is especially prevalent with love letters (or even affair letters) given the romantic nature of the content, a kiss could be left for several reasons by several different types of characters, such as from a secret admirer or a seductress's personal signature. There's usually a romantic connection between the sender and the recipient, so these exchanges are popular between partners or love interests.

He knew why Sanji was like this. After Whole Cake, the guy's deep-seated care for his crew, and lack of self-worth truly shone. And even after everything, it was hard for their cook to believe it when they say he means something. Means everything.

Usopp understood that. Hell, he still suffers from it himself, his anxieties getting the better of him at times. Falling victim to the thoughts of just not being enough, of being dead weight, or being expendable.

But seeing Sanji like that? It hurt. It hurt in a way that was doubled by seeing himself in those words.

There's a long moment where the sniper looks at Sanji, before a sigh leaves him. Knuckles knock lightly against his forehead. "Idiot. We're surrounded by bad things all the time. Especially with a captain like ours. Trouble is gonna come, whether we like it or not. What matters is that we stick together through it all."

A gentle smile replaces the furrowed brow and frown. "I got your back if you got mine Sanji. You know that."

Usopp couldn't help but laugh, but it wasn't at Nami. No, he'd never laugh at her for something like this. More just amused at her tone and need to ask it at all. The answer was obvious.

"Of course I do! What kinda question is that?" He continues to chuckle, bringing the redhead into his arms and smacking a big old kiss on her forehead. "Who else is gonna stay up till 3 am talking about nothing with me? You think I'd just go on a shopping spree and people watching with just anyone??"

Strong arms wrap around her waist, squeezing her to his front and taking her in a spin. "You dare question the love and care of the Great Captain Usopp?? Hm??"
