Aces of Spades (01)
Steve Rogers x Reader
Bucky Barnes x Reader Twin
Yeah, hi, it’s not like I don’t have enough on my plate, but here’s my new story. Bucky and Steve are part of a Motorcycle Club.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Four Years Ago*
Graduation had come and gone. With her twin by her side, Y/n and Y/tn walked across the stage and accepted their diplomas. They would be spending one last summer at their cabin by the lake with their friends and family before going off to school. Y/n and Y/tn were both on scholarships. Y/tn had a full ride to her dream school for her academics where she would be going to school for nursing. Y/n scored herself a massive full ride scholarship to her school for soccer where she would be taking up Journalism. The twins were so excited to be done with high school and moving onto the next chapter of their life. They, of course, were sad that they weren’t going to school together, but they wouldn’t be far away from each other.
“Y/n! Y/tn!” Two familiar voices started shouting out after them.
Turning together, the twins were swept up in huge arms. Y/n giggled as Steve spun her around. Her arms wrapped around his neck and he tightened his grip around her waist as he spun her around. Steve and Bucky, were best friends and they were also the twins’ best friends. Had been ever since they were youngsters. Their parents all grew up together.
“Congrats, brat,” Steve said and Y/n smiled at him.
“Thanks,” Y/n said.
Setting her back down, Steve released Y/n so he could sweep Y/tn up in a huge hug. Y/n jumped at Bucky and he caught her swiftly. She hugged him tightly. Steve and Bucky were inseparable from the twins. They were two years older than them. Growing up together, the girls always had bodyguards and as the boys’ friend group grew so did their list of protectors. Before Y/n could get the chance to start looking around for her parents, Bucky was pulling her attention back to him.
“Well, how does it feel to be all graduated?” Bucky asked her.
“Surreal,” Y/n replied with a grin on her face.
“Let’s head down to the bar for food and drinks,” Steve beamed.
“Steve, you know we can’t drink,” Y/tn said teasingly, shaking her head.
It didn’t matter, though. Their friend group had the best parents. They let the kids have fun as long as it was on their property and they handed over their keys. Y/n just liked giving Steve such a hard time about it.
“Hey, what happens at the bar stays at the bar,” Bucky said with a wink.
Y/n could only shake her head at both of them. Gathering up their things, the girls walked with Steve and Bucky to where their bikes were parked. Y/n climbed onto the back of Steve’s bike and wrapped her arms tightly around his waist. With one last look behind her, Y/n didn’t see her parents so she turned back around and rested her head on Steve’s back.
Their small town of St. Haven had just a little under 1000 people taking up occupancy. A small school took up one side of town, there was a grocery store, library, town hall, and some other smaller shops. In the south part of their town sat the bar. Ace of Spades was the MC’s club. To the locals, it was a biker bar. Most people veered away from it.
Most brave souls didn’t last long though. It was a little too rough and tough for them. The bikers all thought that it was hilarious that the locals couldn’t handle a little bar fight here and there. But behind the bar image and motorcycle club, there was a real operation happening behind closed doors.
Howard Stark, George Barnes, and Joseph Rogers started this MC years ago. Behind the scenes, they run weapons and drugs across the borders to other clubs. As the three of them got married and had kids they started to build not only their family but their empire. They groomed their sons and their friend’s sons to take over the business.
Y/n and Y/tn’s parents weren’t part of the MC, but they did grow up with them. They knew about what the club was really up to and they kept their secret, but also helped out in any way they could. The club always took care of them and when they had their girls the club was quick to step in and help. The girls gained groups of friends once Steve and Bucky had become their friends.
The girls knew the boys grew up in the MC, but they didn’t know about what the club really did. They trusted the boys more than their own family. The MC was their family though too. They all loved and adored the twins. Of course, there were rumblings around town. People that rubbed the MC the wrong way loved to trash talk them. The girls had heard whispering, but they played it off as them being bitter.
Pulling up outside of the club, Y/n and Y/tn climbed off the back of the bikes and hurried inside. Both girls were caught off guard when the room exploded with confetti and cheers. Everyone was clapping and smiling as they stood around cheering on the girls. A large banner hung over the bar that read Congratulations Y/n and Y/tn. Y/n didn’t get a chance to look for her parents before a group of people suddenly surrounded her and her twin.
Howard, George, and Joseph surrounded the girls first to pull them in for hugs. Y/n sunk into Joseph’s arms and sighed. He pressed a kiss to the top of her head. She loved her parents. They were her parents, but Y/n had always been so close with Joseph. It helped a little that she was head over heels in love with Steve, but she would die before admitting that secret.
“I am so proud of you kiddo,” Joseph said.
“Thanks, Papa Joe,” Y/n said, giving him a tight squeeze.
“Sorry, we weren’t all there to greet you after you walked,” Joseph said.
Y/n looked around the bar. “I can see why you guys had to leave right away. This is quite the party,”
“Only the best for our girls,” Joseph said.
Leaned up against Joseph, his arm was around her waist as he led her around the bar so she could greet all of the guests that came to celebrate her graduation. George had Y/tn on the other side of the room. Y/n caught Steve’s eye and he just smiled at her. All Y/n wanted to do was stand in the corner with Steve and whisper amongst them.
At the other end of the bar, Martha and Sarah were standing there. Y/n went over to the two older women and gave them both a hug. The OG women were all soft, sweet, but a badass and you never wanted to be on their bad side.
“Thank you for the party, you know Y/tn and I really appreciate it,” Y/n said.
“Anything for you, love,” Sarah said, kissing her cheek.
After a good hour of working the room, Y/n finally found herself alone with Steve. Steve took her hand in his and led her upstairs, past all of the bedrooms, and to the stairs that would take them right up to the balcony on the back of the bar.
“So my parents?” Y/n began before taking a leaning against the railing.
Steve sighed. He looked away from her. Y/n and Y/tn thought the world of their parents. But Steve knew so many of their dirty secrets that he knew if the twins knew the truth that the two of them would never be able to look at their parents the same way.
“They had to work,” Steve began.
“Club business?” Y/n asked him.
“Yeah,” Steve lied.
“Well, at least I have your family. Y/tn and I are so lucky to have you guys,” Y/n said.
Steve slung his arm around her as he leaned against her.
“I’d give you the whole world, you know,” Steve said.
“I know,” Y/n smiled.
“Here, I got you something,” Steve said, digging into his pocket.
“Steve,” Y/n whined. “You know I hate gifts,”
Steve chuckled. “I know, but you’ll like this I promise,”
Y/n only rolled her eyes. He pulled out a slim black box and held it out towards her. Y/n gave him a questioning look before taking the box and flipped the top open. A silver charm bracelet sat nestled in the box. There were a few sunflowers dangling from the bracelet and some other odd and end charms.
“All of the charms mean something to us and our friends,” Steve said as he started to point out the different charms and their meanings.
Y/n was trying so hard not to start crying.
“Thank you,” Y/n whispered as he placed the bracelet onto her wrist.
“Don’t want you going off to college and forget about me,” Steve teased.
Y/n instantly leaned against him and let out a sigh. Steve wrapped an arm around her so he could hold her tightly. The two watched the sunset as the party raged on below them.
The pair stayed up on the balcony for what seemed like an eternity. When the two of them finally went back down to join the others, Pietro was quick to scoop Y/n away from Steve. When Steve had tried pulling her back, Pietro only laughed and quickly dragged Y/n across the bar.
Steve sighed, ran a hand through his blonde hair, and then went to join his dad and George. Joseph and George greeted Steve with a big smile.
“I see that the party is a hit,” George grinned as Y/tn laughed as Clint spun her around.
“Yeah, it is,” Steve said.
Joseph could tell that there was something wrong with his boy.
“What’s the matter, Steve?” Joseph asked.
“She asked about their parents,” Steve replied.
George and Joseph glanced at one another.
“Don’t worry, I didn’t say anything. She thinks they are doing something for the club,” Steve said before his dad could ask any more questions.
“Good, that’s good,” Joseph hummed.
“But you know, we are going to have to tell them the truth,” Steve said.
“We know, but tonight is not the time,” George said.
Steve fell silent as he sipped his beer. Steve had a feeling in the pit of his stomach that something wasn’t right. Besides all of the lying that he has done to his girls over the years there was just something else that was looming over him, the others, and this club.
Y/n was laughing as she finally freed herself from Pietro’s grasp and went over to her twin. Y/tn grabbed a hold of her and the two made their way towards the bar to get something to drink.
“This is the best graduation party ever,” Y/tn beamed.
“Yes,” Y/n giggled.
Y/tn was suddenly pulled away by Bucky. Bucky pulled her down to his bedroom.
“Bucky, the party,” Y/tn whined.
“Come on, I have a gift for you,” Bucky said.
Y/tn stopped whining as she saw Bucky pull off the gift from the top of his dresser. The box was small and wrapped in bright blue wrapping paper. A silver bow was messily stuck on top. Bucky was grinning as he held the gift out towards Y/tn. Y/tn took the present, neatly pulled off the bow and then unwrapped the gift. Y/tn pushed off the lid and tossed the tissue paper off to the side.
“Oh Bucky,” Y/tn gushed.
She pulled out the necklace. It had a sunflower pendant hanging off the end. Bucky leaned forward to grab the pendant. He showed Y/tn how the sunflower was a locket and it opened. Inside there on the right was a picture of him and Y/tn and on the left was Y/n and Steve.
“I love it,” Y/tn’s lip quivered.
She moved her hair off to the side so Bucky could help clasp the necklace around her throat. The gold chain was lightweight and it fits perfectly. Turning around, Y/tn threw her arms around Bucky’s neck and he caught her carefully.
“Thank you,” Y/tn said.
The two stood embraced for a long period. Bucky was going to miss this. He was going to miss Y/tn and Y/n being up in his space. This was their last summer together before the girls went off to college.
Bucky and Y/tn went back into the party. Y/tn went right to Y/n. The girls leaned against each other as they watched as everyone around them continued to celebrate. Y/n looked at her twin.
“We need to talk,” Y/n told her.
Y/tn looked at her.
“What’s wrong?” Y/tn asked.
Y/n looked around before dragging Y/tn out of the bar and into the chilly night. There were too many people around. Too many ears that could hear her and go right back to Joseph and the others. Y/tn instantly wrapped her arms around her to help keep herself warm. She stared at her twin. Y/tn could tell that something was really bothering Y/n.
“I think something is going on with our parents,” Y/n said.
Y/tn shot her sister a look. “What are you talking about?”
“I know our parents aren’t the world’s best parents, but they would have been here, Y/tn. They wouldn’t have just got up and done a job for the club on our big night,” Y/n explained.
Y/tn bit her lip as she mulled over her sister’s concerns. Y/n had a point. They loved their parents. They weren’t perfect, but she loved their little family. Their parents never missed a milestone event in their life. So why now?
“Maybe now is the time we bring our concerns we’ve heard rumors about them,” Y/tn said.
Y/n looked at her twin. That was a big deal. Anytime, Y/n had brought that idea up, Y/tn would shut down and it was never brought up for a long time.
The two had always heard rumors about the club, but they always brushed them off. They were their friends and they trusted what they had to say. The girls always just blindly followed them. Maybe those rumors were true. And if they were the twins weren’t even sure how they would handle it.
The twins went back inside to finish out the party. After all of the guests were gone, it was just Y/tn, Y/n, Steve, Bucky, and their parents. They were all working together to clean up the bar from the party.
“Why don’t you take the girls home. They shouldn’t have to pick up after their own party,” Winni said.
Y/tn tossed a look towards Y/n.
“Actually, could we talk to you guys about something,” Y/n said.
Joseph and George looked at each other.
“What’s wrong?” Steve asked.
“You guys have been more than just our friends. You’re our family. We trust you and respect you, but the lying has to stop,” Y/n said, she had to just rip the bandaid off and get this over with.
“What are you talking about Y/n?” Bucky asked.
“We’re not dumb, you know,” Y/tn snapped.
“Of course, we know that,” Steve said.
“Then why do you continue to lie to us. We’ve heard the rumors about you and this club. I never wanted to say anything and to second guess you, but our parents would never have missed this party,” Y/n said.
“Girls, you have no idea what you’re opening,” Joseph said.
Y/n turned her dark eyes towards Joseph. “I have done nothing, but blindly trust your lead. We have all graduated and out of school. We are on our way to adulthood. Please stop lying and tell us the truth,”
“You’re not going to like this. None of this,” George said.
“No!” Steve snarled.
“Son, it’s time,” Joseph said.
“Steve’s right, we can’t,” Bucky argued.
“Boys,” Sarah sighed.
“Is it true?” Y/tn asked as she was staring at Bucky.
“What exactly?” George asked.
“Are you more than a motorcycle club?” Y/tn asked.
“Yes,” George answered carefully.
“Do you sell weapons and move drugs across the border?” Y/n asked.
Steve sucked in a breath. He had no idea that the girls had known anything about the MC.
“Who has been in your ear, girl?” Joseph asked.
“There are enough people in our small town that like to talk,” Y/n snipped.
“Our club does what it is necessary to survive and make sure that we can take care of our families,” George explained.
“So the murders that are connected to the club?” Y/tn asked.
Bucky shot her a look.
“I know how to use a computer, Bucky,” Y/tn hissed.
“Girls,” Sarah sighed. “There is just so much information that you’re missing,”
Y/n looked at Joseph and then locked eyes with Steve. “What about our parents?”
The room was so quiet that you’d be able to hear a pin drop. Y/tn was watching George and Bucky carefully trying to see if either of them were going to flinch or make a move.
“I know our parents aren’t the best in the world. We also know how much you’ve helped them out. We’ve heard them talking late at night about money problems. We both know that they are working for you,” Y/n explained.
“But we also know that they wouldn’t have missed this party for the world,” Y/tn added.
“Y/n. Y/tn. Please don’t keep pushing this,” Steve begged them.
“No, we’ve been put on the back burner for long enough. Where are our parents?” Y/n pushed.
“Girls, your parents aren’t coming back,” George said, finally breaking the silence.
Y/tn immediately reached out and took her twin’s hand in hers. Y/n squeezed her sister's hand reassuring her that everything was going to be okay. Even though all Y/n wanted to do was scream and cry she couldn’t do that right now. Y/n looked over at Steve.
“Were you ever going to tell me the truth?” She asked him.
Steve looked down at the floor.
“If I had told you that I loved you?” Y/n asked him.
Steve couldn’t even bring himself to look up at her. She could feel her heart breaking.
“I never wanted you, the two of you to know what the club is. What Buck and I do for this club,” Steve finally said.
Y/n had to bite her lip to keep herself from crying.
“So, you’re okay with lying to me?” Y/tn asked now looking at Bucky.
“Please, we were only trying to keep you safe,” Bucky said.
Y/n looked away from Steve. Her eyes settled on Joseph. The two of them were staring each other down.
“Since it was said that my parents are gone that means that they aren’t on vacation. My parents had a life insurance policy,”
George cut her off. “Nobody said they were dead and it’s going to stay that way,”
Y/n let out a sigh of anger. “That money would help Y/tn and I with expenses,”
Steve looked at her in confusion. “What are you talking about? You’re our family. A part of this club, we would take care of you,”
“Oh, you think that in between semesters Y/tn and I would ever come back here? I was afraid that all of this is true. Now that I know that it is and that all of you would blatantly lie to us. I’m never stepping foot in St. Haven ever again,” Y/n snarled.
“Y/n, please,” Steve began to plead.
“I don’t want to hear it,” She growled.
“Kiddo, please, you have to let us explain everything to you,” George pleaded.
Y/n settled her angry eyes on Joseph.
“I trusted you. You were a father to me. I followed you blindly for so long. I fell in love with your son. Only to be made into a fool. I can never trust you again,” Y/n said.
“If you leave St. Haven for good, we won’t be able to protect you,” Joseph said.
“We don’t need your protection,” Y/tn growled next to her twin.
“You two don’t understand other clubs that aren’t part of our circle will hurt you to hurt us,” Sarah softly spoke up.
“Why would it matter when the people I’ve called family for so long have already done that?” Y/n asked.
“Y/n, Y/tn, please, just let’s all sit down and we can talk about this,” Winnie said.
“Why? To give you guys more time to lie to us? Bucky, we have always been so open and honest to each other. This feels like everything I know about you is a lie,” Y/tn said.
“Girls, if you walk out that door,” Joseph began to threaten.
“I’ll go to Chief Rhodey,” Y/n snarled.
“Darlin’, you’re going to learn very quickly who’s on our payroll,” Joseph said.
Y/n shook her head.
“Stay away from me. Stay away from Y/tn. I’m begging you all to just leave us alone,” Y/n said.
And before Y/n could open a can of whoop ass on Steve and Bucky both for betraying the twins, Y/tn was dragging Y/n out of the club. Somebody had driven the girls car to the bar after graduation. Y/tn found the keys in the ignition and started the car. Y/n slammed herself into the passenger seat.
“Y/n,” Y/tn said.
“Let’s just go home,” Y/n said.
Y/tn nodded and then pulled away from the club. The car ride was quiet as the girls didn’t really know what to say to one another. When Y/tn pulled into the driveway Y/n sat up a little straighter when she saw Wanda and Natasha sitting on the porch.
“Go in through the garage, okay?” Y/n asked.
“Y/n,” Y/tn began.
“I love you, but you’ve got a weak spot for the girls. Let me take care of this,” Y/n teased with a small smile.
“You’re right,” Y/tn gave in.
The girls exited the car. Y/tn shot the girls a look before zooming past Y/n and into the garage. Y/n walked towards the front door and started to pull out her house keys.
“Those boys sure like to work fast, huh?” Y/n asked.
“If you won’t listen to them, then maybe you’ll listen to us,” Wanda said with hope.
“I’m really not in the mood to duke it out with the two of you,” Y/n said as she went up to the front door.
“You’ve got to give us a chance to explain,” Natasha urged.
“Did you know that they were going to kill my parents?” Y/n asked.
Natasha and Wanda glanced at one another.
“That’s what I thought,” Y/n said, unlocking the front door.
“You don’t know what’s going on,” Natasha said.
“What I know is that the people I called my family have been lying to me for years and now are responsible for the deaths of my parents,” Y/n shot back.
As Y/n opened the door to slip inside, Natasha grabbed her by the arm. Y/n looked down to Natasha’s hand and then back up to Natasha.
“Let go of me,” Y/n snarled.
“Please don’t do this,” Wanda whispered.
Y/n removed Natasha’s hand and looked at both redheads.
“Don’t contact me or Y/tn ever again,” Y/n said before firmly shutting the door in their faces.
Y/tn was in the living room she had been watching the whole exchange. Y/n turned towards her sister. Tears were already streaming down her face.
“Y/tn,” Y/n said softly.
“They’re really gone,” She whispered.
Y/n was quick to pull her sister in for a hug.
“It’s going to be okay, Y/tn,” Y/n said.
“How do you know?” Y/tn asked.
“Because we have each other and that’s all that matters from here on out,” Y/n said.
Y/tn nodded before burying her face in her twin’s neck. Y/n held onto Y/tn tightly as she urged herself not to break down. Y/tn needed her so now was not the time for her to show weakness.
*Four Years Later*
The Uhaul pulled up in front of the house. Neighbors were already looking out their windows to get a first look at the new people moving into the neighborhood. The twins stepped out of the Uhaul. They were laughing as they walked towards the back and opened the door.
Another moving truck pulled up behind them. The movers got out and walked towards the girls.
“Y/tn, is going to show you the bedrooms and where everything can go,” Y/n said.
The movers nodded and then followed Y/tn into the house. Y/n released the hatch on the first moving truck to release Y/tn’s car. She moved to the other truck to release her own car. The movers came out and started to unpack the trucks.
Y/tn came to stand next to her twin.
“This house is more amazing up close and personal,” Y/tn said.
Y/n grinned at her sister. “I told you I could pick out a house by shopping online,”
Y/tn only rolled her eyes. Hip checking her sister, Y/n walked away from Y/tn to help start unloading the moving trucks. As Y/tn moved to go and join her sister the sound of motorcycles could be heard coming down the road. Y/tn froze and Y/n let out a sigh of annoyance. Of course, somebody would have already ratted them out about being back.
Straightening her back, Y/n turned on her heels, hands on her hips, as she greeted the group of bikers. A tall, muscular blonde climbed off the bike, he was now supporting a beard, but those familiar blue eyes burned holes in her soul.
“Y/n?”
“Hey Steve,” She sighed.

This night is heating up Raise hell and turn it up Saying "If you go out you might pass out in a drain pipe" Oh yeah, don't threaten me with a good time
I'm a scholar and a gentleman And I usually don't fall when I try to stand I lost a bet to a guy in a Chiffon skirt But I make these high heels work I've told you time and time again I'm not as think as you drunk I am And we all fell down when the sun came up I think we've had enough
Boys || Sakima
I was busy fucking with boys, boys, boys I was busy fucking with boys, boys, boys Head is spinning, drinking with boys, boys, boys I was busy fucking with boys, boys, boys I was busy drinking with boys Boys
Weak || AJR
No thank you They call me after dark, I don't want no part My habits, they hold me like a grudge I promise I won't budge
One sip, bad for me One hit, bad for me One kiss, bad for me But I give in so easily And no thank you! is how it should've gone I should stay strong
But I'm weak, and what's wrong with that? Boy, oh boy I love ya when I fall for that I'm weak, and what's wrong with that? Boy, oh boy I love ya when I fall for that I'm weak But I'm weak, and what's wrong with that? Boy, oh boy I love ya when I fall for that
Bang! || AJR
I get up, I get down and I'm jumpin' around And the rumpus and ruckus are comfortable now Been a hell of a ride but I'm thinkin' it's time to grow (Bang! Bang! Bang!) So I got an apartment across from the park Put quinoa in my fridge, still I'm not feelin' grown Been a hell of a ride but I'm thinkin' it's time to go (Bang! Bang! bang!) (Here we go)
So put your best face on, everybody Pretend you know this song, everybody Come hang Let's go out with a bang! (Bang! Bang! bang!) I'm way too young to lie here forever I'm way too old to try so whatever Come hang Let's go out with a bang! (Bang! Bang! bang!)
Feel like I'm gonna puke 'cause my taxes are due Do my password begin with a one or a two? Been a hell of a ride but I'm thinkin' it's time to grow (Bang! Bang! bang!) (Metronome) Man, I'm up to something, ooh-dee-la-dee-doh Thank you all for comin', I hope you like the show 'Cause it's on a budget, so ooh-dee-la-dee-doh Yeah, come on here we go, yeah, come on (here we go)
