Before we started this band I was really a bass player, but I wanted to start playing guitar more. So every night for weeks I sat down and played along with Shallow North Dakota's "Mob Wheel". As KWC got started I would reference 3 bands: Godflesh, Unsane, and Shallow North Dakota. Our band owes SND a huge debt. Three weeks ago SND's singer & drummer, Tony Jacome, was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Tony and his wife have 2 young kids. They are looking at a very difficult time. To raise money for Tony and his family, we're releasing a split 12" with our friends in KEN Mode and... holy shit, SHALLOW NORTH DAKOTA! I couldn't believe it but SND had an unreleased track from the MOB WHEEL sessions and of course it fucking rules. Then last week(!) KEN Mode recorded and mixed a double-shot of SND covers, and we dug out a SND cover that we recorded 10 years ago and never released. Sincere thanks to Sean Arsenian for artwork and Carl Saff for mastering - both donated their talents, and turned around great work in like a day. So go buy it. 100% of the proceeds go to Tony & family. Think of it as a gofundme that also gets you a cool record.
