You began to get frustrated at the stupid math question on the sheet in front of you. You ferociously erased all your incorrect work and slammed the pencil down, looking up into the sky and groaned. There was a nice golden tone to the clouds through the trees as you sat at this empty bench in the middle of the woods. It was sorta calming; the leaves swaying in the warm afternoon wind, the birds flying through the tall branches, all the squirrels gathering food and running home before dark.

Lost in thought, you jumped when you heard a branch snap behind you. You turned around to see Eddie Munson with his hands held up in caution. He had on his usual Hellfire Club shirt under his leather jacket and denim vest. Did his wavy hair get longer the last time you’ve seen him walking the halls of Hawkins High?

“Woah, woah. Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you. Usually no one ever comes out here.” Eddie grinned.

“Oh, yeah. I’m sorry. I didn’t know this spot was taken.” You muttered as you quickly tried to gather all of your things. “I’ll just get of your way Eddie-”

“Eddie? You know my name sweetheart? I’m flattered.” He said as he came and sat on the bench across from you.

“Everyone knows your name Eddie.” You shyly said.

“Ahh yes. Eddie “the freak” Munson as everyone loves to refer to me as right?” Eddie laughed with his arms extended out giving you a little bow.

“I don’t think you’re a freak Eddie.” You said, shaking your head. You stopped playing with your pencil in your lap and looked up at him.

“Yeah, of course you don’t. What are you doing out here anyway?”

“Oh, just trying to do this stupid math assignment but I literally suck at math. I can't quite get it right.” You said embarrassingly.

“Here, let me see.” Eddie said reach out for the math sheet hidden in between your notebooks.

“No. What?” You tried to stop him but Eddie was already working out the problem. You laughed as Eddie stuck his tongue out in concentration.

“There. The answer is 48.” Eddie smiled, giving you the paper back.

“What? How the hell did you get that? I thought you weren’t- didn’t they hold you back?” You stuttered out.

“Yeah, but I’m actually quite good at math. Everything else, not so much. You sorta need it when you play this game I like-”

“Dungeons and Dragons? That’s what Hellfire is, right?”

Eddie smiled at you. “Right. What’s your name?”

“Y/N. Y/N Y/L/N.” You smiled back.

“Well Y/N, do you need a ride back home or anywhere? You know, cause it’s getting dark or whatever.” Eddie cleared his throat looking away from you.

“Sure. I would really appreciate that actually.”

You followed Eddie to his van where he opened his passenger door and helped you in. He gave you a small nod and smile when you said thank you before he closed the door and raced around the front to the driver side.

“Sorry for the mess. Didn’t think I was gonna drive anyone today.” He said quickly throwing candy wrappers and different school work into the backseat before starting the car up and pulling out into the road.

“It’s fine. I don’t mind it at all. Woah!” You smiled when you grabbed a cassette tape from the center console. “I love this album.”

“What? Iron Maiden? You like Iron Maiden?” Eddie said as he looked between you and the road.

“Oh yeah. Iron Maiden, Dio, Metallica, Black Sabbath. I mean sure, I still enjoy Madonna, The Beatles and Bowie but this,” You shook this cassette. “This is music.”

Eddie smiled at you and laughed. “Oh Y/N, we are gonna get along quite nicely.”

emma was born in san francisco california in 1982. her parents were high school sweethearts who had been together for years, they had her when they were around 26 and were a cute lil fam, everything was perfect but sadly it didn’t last long.

**  tw death; when emma was barely 6 months old her mom passed away, on her way home from work she was simply at the wrong place at the wrong time and was mugged, she tried to fight back which was a bad decision which ultimately led to her premature death.

so ofc her dad was devastated and everything from that on was tough af but he did his best to look after emma. he was working double jobs and would take her with him bc he just wasn’t interested in leaving her with a nanny?? and overall was a great dad tru champ

bc of this growing up emma and her dad were close af, he was her best friend and they were literally always together. he never remarried and would barely ever date, and when he did he’d never introduce his gfs to emma, so she always missed out on a true mother figure which was just sad af

naturally she’d hang out with a bunch of men the whole time, her dad and his friends / coworkers who’d also look after her. so she kinda got into a lot of hobbies and things that were lowkey considered “boyish” back then.

despite this emma was a v girly girl though, and she’d get frustrated af when her dad couldn’t pull off those cool pretty hairstyles for her or when he’d pick out the wrong pair of jeans or shoes lol which happened all the time.

*** tw depression; so yes emma was pretty much her dad’s whole world and was always getting involved in everything she asked. he even coached her soccer team and all lol. bc he was always so upbeat and a playful dad, it wasn’t until she got significantly older that she started realizing her dad actually suffered from depression. ((nowadays she’s constantly checking up on him))

at age 14 she had a big ass crush on one of her teachers and this was when she started figuring out her sexuality, bc she’d always been so close to her dad she didn’t hesitate on coming to him first. at first he thought maybe she was just confused, maybe growing up without any women in her life had something to do with it ??? but sure enough that had nothing to do with it and it was something he learned eventually. it threw him off at first but he never made her feel wrong for it or anything. a+ parenting if u ask me.

her dad had saved enough money to send her to uni, but emma wanted to become a veterinarian which was a little more expensive than he expected, so she offered to work a part time job and help pay for her own studies.

when she was an intern right before graduating, some guys she used to hang with talked her into taking some supplies from the clinic and sell them it. it seemed like an easy way to do money and she really needed it at the time? so it sort of became a thing for her. this went on for a while, even after she was already an established veterinarian and didn’t really need the money anymore ?? it still seemed like a good and easy way to make some extra cash. this stopped a while ago tho after it got to be too much and she didn’t even need it anymore so ya know.

personality wise, she’s kind of a mix between eleanor from the good place and gina from brooklyn 9 9 ?? just a bit anyway. she’s very skillful and smart, mostly because of her dad who taught her a lot of things. she looooves classic cars and even drives one of her own (a 67 ford mustang) and also motorcycles ?? she probably has one idk i haven't made up my mind yet but she's definitely had one in the past at least

loves being a Big Lesbian and that’s like 90% of her whole personality. just very gay

Purple: 10 facts about my room

1. the walls are a terrible shade of green (not my choice)

2. my favourite poster on my wall is my Brain Salad Surgery poster and sometimes i spend hours just looking at Keith bc he makes me happy

3. i don’t have any shelves so i keep my records lined up on the floor and there are so many of them that they take up approx. 1/3 of my floor

4. i have a glass drafting table that i love, and when i did more graphite drawings i used to have it tilted up all the time, but ever since i started doing more paintings, it’s been set flat (plus there’s a bunch of shit on it)

5. there is a caricature of myself and keith emerson holding hands on my wall (done by a lovely woman i met in the last hospital i stayed in)

6. i also have a lot of my own art on my walls (foxtrot painting, abacab fantasies, steve winwood painting, bloody piano, rush logo, smirky tony banks, red keith, a thing i did for david bowie, a bloody flower, and the valentine i made for keith)

7. i have 4 (used to have 5) calendars on my wall and they’re all out of date
