One of the most beautiful topiary gardens that I have seen so far is part of Bourton House and Gardens located in the Cotswolds in England. Everything was meticulously clipped and maintained which contributes the allure of a garden like this. I love how the eye is provided with lots of visual interest, but at the same time has a place to rest and relax. All the bright, healthy, fresh green is so soothing to look at, especially for someone like me living in drought stricken Southern California. What do you think of this garden? Houses and gardens, big or small, need to go together, one is not complete without the other. Would you agree with this? I think that Bourton House Garden is an example were both exist in harmony with and enhance each other like it is rarely seen. The 18th century impressive and very beautiful manor house is surrounded by the most exquisite gardens that you can imagine.
