Boys and girls of every age Wouldn't you like to see something strange? Come with us and you will see This, our town of Halloween
For tourists, the preparations for the big Halloween party in New Orleans meant seeing people decorating the streets to welcome the ghosts and ghouls that will gather in the streets and mingle with the crowd. From the Parade of the Ghouls to the biggest costume party event at Saints & Sinners & Sinners, the city is bustling with excitement and festivities. Not the same can be said for those locals who know better.
Halloween meant that while the treaty of secrecy and peace is still fully much intact, it doesn’t mean that everyone plays by the rules. Other species have less to worry about than the witches and werewolves who have more to fear on old Hallow’s Eve. The veil between the living and the dead is thinner on that night while the full moon is visible for everyone to see.
Celebrate all you want, just be careful of the dark corners of the city. You’ll never know who’s lurking in the shadows. Prepare yourselves for night of screams and chills this Halloween!
Notable Events:
The Spooktastic Parade
Quickly followed by the Halloween Block Party at Bourbon Street
Costume Contest at Saints & Sinners
OOC/ADMIN NOTES: Welcome to the first event of the roleplay! It’ll be a week-long event from October 26th to November 3rd. We will start on 26th with the preparations of the city for the Halloween festivities, start the Halloween proper events on the 29th and we’ll end on the 3rd of November where the parties have finally died down. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of things happening on this event so make sure to be on your tiptoes - you’ll never know what’s gonna happen.

𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑷𝑨𝑹𝑻𝒀 𝑯𝑨𝑺 𝑫𝑰𝑬𝑫 𝑫𝑶𝑾𝑵 𝑭𝑶𝑹 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑵𝑰𝑮𝑯𝑻. Tourists and locals alike have started to make their ways back home until the streets were silent waiting for a new ordinary day. New Orleans was done with Halloween.
But Halloween was not done with New Orleans.
In the blanket of night, six bodies were found scattered all over New Orleans: A merfold, a fae, a vampire, a werewolf, a witch, and even a human. All reports are the same- each one went missing sometime during the festival but no one went looking for their friend. Rumors circulate that some were found in costume while others were found in their true forms. All died the same way.
Each body was missing a special part of themselves: the vampire’s fangs, the human’s heart, the witch’s eyes, the werewolf’s claws, the merfolk’s fins and the fae’s wings.
The Council acted quickly, hiding the bodies because there is no need to cause alarm in the unsuspecting residents of New Orleans. What was meant to be a night of celebration has now turned into a stand off between the factions. No one was to breathe word of what happened but of course in a city like New Orleans, nothing stays secret for long.
For the first time in twenty years, the tensions between factions are rising. This was a breach of treaty and the consensus is the same: they all want blood for their fallen. Accusations flying, but no one has proof of anything. So who could be responsible? Many felt that they’ll know soon enough.
𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐒. welcome to the first plot drop for bourbonstreetrpg. this plot drop will remain active for the foreseeable future. just a reminder that while this is a breach of treaty, there hasn’t been any official declaration of war (yet) so everyone is still expected to remain on their best behavior until more news is uncovered. as always, if there are any questions the main is open to answering anything and the discord server is there as well. happy writing !
* event threads may continue but please do not start any new ones unless it’s centered around the recent news.
