Since were talking abt noncanon ships for bound- I would like to throw one in the ring-

Vast and Gavrin

Now hear me out-

Gavrin was the *only* person to meet Vast before meeting Rune. And the only person to say outright say "Yeah, We're friends."

This peacock dragged Vast out of her house after a two day coma and went "Get in the tub, you're having a bath" and helped Vast feel better after the big break up™

ALSO- Gav's tone of voice when she told Vast to not pluck any more of his feathers? **That** just screamed "oh gods you're a self deprecating idiot, why do I love you so much"

(I would add Gavrin calling Vast darling but Gavrin calls everyone darling so it doesn't really could but it deserves an honorary mention)

Do I think these two could romantically date? Ngl I could see it *BUT* I could see these two as a friends with benefits kind of situation

I think it could start off as a friends with benefits, and end up in a platonic/maybe romantic relationship

Could Vast, Gavrin and Rune be polygamous? It could work if everyone actually communicated their feelings that their problems

Sometimes you've just gotta (hopefully temporary) break up with your partner, get depressed about it for a while- and have a peacock drag you out of your house and force you to self care.

(Oh and for all you angst enjoyers- If Vast started going out with Gav, then they'd feel like a piece of shit for getting dumped and then immediately getting into another relationship)

I love Gavrines and Sylph involvement in Rust. They both were wing-manning them in a sense.

Gav pointing out to both Vast and Rune that Vast does in fact like Rune. Telling Rune that Vast is pretty much trying to court him. Telling Vast that you don’t typically commission meaningful jewelry for the homies.

Then Sylph just constantly teasing them and forcing them to be close to each other. Tricking Vast to come to a sleepover and wear Runes booty shorts the entire time. Getting Rune to admit their feelings for Vast to them and himself.

And then they’re the ones to comfort them when the relationship fails, and in ways that they both needed.

Gavrine getting Vast up and taking him away from his feelings in a sense. Giving her space to vent and process her emotions in a healthy manner. Then taking them on an adventure similar to what he would normally do anyway. TELLING VAST THEYRE FRIENDS. That he has more outside of just Rune.

Then Sylph breaking in to comfort Rune. Also letting them vent their emotions and get out everything they’ve been wallowing in for a week. Getting him up out of the nest even for a bit. Making a new type of food just to try and make him feel better. Forcing him to rest well sylph takes care of Rune.
