Laurelfern does not recover from greencough and dies. Umberstar becomes angry and withdrawn, unable to cope with the loss of another of her kits.

Dogdapple gave him a life for unity, though he could see the doubt in her eyes.

Wheatspeck, the old tom who had been in the elder's den his entire kithood, gave him a life for courage. He swore he heard Wheatspeck remarking that he'd better be smart.

Graydapple offered him a life for confidence, her eyes glittering happily. She had once been deputy, and now she was bestowing a life to a new leader.

Silentfern, yet another Tornclan warrior, gave him a life for friendship, though he felt she was tense the entire time.

Bouncepaw, a cat he'd heard of before, but never met, bounded forward, and gave him a life for trust.

Finally, Pebblestar came forward, and bestowed him with a life for strength in the face of hardship.

Confused, he looked around, blinking. That wasn't it, there was one more to get...

Then, all of Starclan spoke at once. They gave him his final life together, and started cheering his name.

A chill of doubt spread through him, but it was too late now, he was waking up. He gulped, and bristled somewhat as his vision ended. Fennelstar lifted his head, panting in a rush of sudden fear, as he stood up.

"Hey! Hey, dude, chill! You're fine, what happened? Did you get rejected?" Sandyscratch meowed, voice full of worry.

"No, no, I'm still leader, I just... I feel a sense of doom..."

started a clangen clan yesterday and theDRAMA was IMMEDIATE. emeraldpoppy hated bouncepaw since she was a kit (for no reason i might add) and sneezestar felt it was a good idea to make him her mentor ,,,,, which only worsened their relationship.

ospreyface was originally the apprentice to sneezestar but started showing a connection to starclan and was very close to the clan medic, sandycreek, so i appointed him as their apprentice. they are the best of friends.

Detailed Rewrite Plot Summary: SkyClan's Destiny

Best Clan book 2!

The book begins with Leafstar having a nightmare about the gorge flooding and her clanmates drowning all around her. She takes a bit to calm down from it because it felt so real. But she can't stay in her den for too long- Rockpaw, Tinypaw, and Bouncepaw are due for their Warrior Ceremony and are anxious to get their names. In the moons since Firestar and Sandstorm left to go back to ThunderClan, SkyClan has flourished. They've gained more members and are doing very well in every capacity.

During the Ceremony, Tinypaw makes a request in regards to her Name because she dislikes her prefix (she kept it this long only because her mother insisted). Leafstar names her Shiningcloud, and her brothers are named Bouncefire and Rockshade. Also introduced are the Daylight-Warriors, cats who participate in Clan life by day and are kittypets by night. Several cats including Cherryblossom and Sharpclaw dislike the idea of having kittypets in the Clan even if they're acting as Warriors, but they are mostly treated well.

One of the Daylight-Warriors, Billystorm, has taken it upon himself to teach the kits some fighting moves due to the presence of hawks in the area. Clovertail and Fallowfern aren't too supportive of the idea at first, but they eventually agree to let them after the kits react very positively to the idea, with the caveat that the kits don't go near the water.

Leafstar has a dream from The Starry Gorge (SkyClan's version of StarClan- their afterlife is disconnected from the other Clan's due to their distance from each other) of Skywatcher. He warns her that there are storms coming and shows her another vision of cats drowning in floodwater. She takes this as a prophecy, and seeks out Echosong when she wakes up. Echosong also had the same dream, but the two can't figure out what it could mean except for a possible flood. They make an agreement to not tell the rest of Clan until they figure out what it means.

Leafstar has some more issues when she's forced to exile Harveymoon and Macgyver temporarily due to them goofing off instead of performing their duties to the Clan. And then after that, Sagepaw dislocates his shoulder falling off a cliff in an effort to prove himself to his Clanmates, who tease him for having non-SkyClan blood. Leafstar worries that her clanmates are too fixated on the importance of blood and holds a meeting to address this.

The meeting gets interrupted by a group of loners lead by a cat named Stick, who are looking to learn how to be self-sufficient from SkyClan. Sharpclaw trains the newcomers alongside some SkyClan cats, which seems to help build a sense of unity. Although Leafstar notes that the loners, Stick in particular, seem very interested in battle moves. Sharpclaw notices this as well and informs her of his suspicions that they're here for something else. Leafstar assigns some SkyClan cats to sleep with them to keep an eye on them.

The next morning, Leafstar invites the group to join in with patrols, and they go along with her, Patchfoot, and a few other cats. She scents rats, which makes the SkyClan cats panic due to their previous experience with rats. Leafstar discovers the scent stems from a massive pile of Twoleg waste, which is where the rats are living. The one piece of good news is, these are normal rats instead of the mutant creatures they fought before. They return to camp to inform the others of the news.

Sharpclaw explains SkyClan's previous experiences with rats to the loners and they offer to help, since they have experience with rats as well. They work together with Sharpclaw to make a plan to drive out the rats while Leafstar has a conversation with Echosong about her misgivings about Sharpclaw. Echosong gives her some advice, and makes a request: she wants to take Frecklepaw as her apprentice. Frecklepaw shows an interest in both herbs and prophecies, and often sneaks off from her mentor Ebonyclaw to hang out in the Medicine Den to learn about herbs. However, Frecklepaw is a Daylight-Warrior, and Leafstar is nervous about the idea of a Medicine Cat who might not be there if the Clan needs her at night.

Billystorm privately informs Leafstar that he's seen Stick and the other loners sneaking into Twolegplace at night from his Twolegs' home, which concerns Leafstar, but she keeps her suspicions to herself. Harveymoon and Macgyver return to the Clan after their exile, both agreeing to behave better in the future. Leafstar holds a Gathering, and tries to name the newcomers Warriors, but her names are rejected by them and they keep their original names with no suffixes, which makes the Clan uncomfortable. Leafstar has a dream of Skywatcher and Cloudstar that night, who tell her to "seize the moment. Destiny will arrive".

The next morning, Snookpaw doesn't arrive back with the other Daylight-Warriors, and they're worried for him. Leafstar goes with Billystorm to go looking for him. They find him and sneak inside his Twolegs' den, learning that they were trying to keep Snookpaw inside more often. They are forced to leave without him when his Twolegs come back. On the way back, the two discover a young loner hunting in SkyClan territory. He becomes frightened upon spotting them and runs away before they can speak to him (or ask him if he's interested in joining).

Later on, Echosong seeks out Leafstar to speak to her about Shrewtooth acting strangely. The two also discuss Leafstar's growing closeness with one of the loners, Cora, with Echosong playfully remarking that Cora doesn't seem to have a mate, and that if Leafstar isn't interested, she'll ask Cora out instead. Leafstar becomes anxious and flustered (because Echosong is one of the cats she has romantic feelings for besides Cora, the other being Billystorm).

Leafstar takes Shrewtooth on a patrol to discuss their recent behavior. They don't say much until they encounter a Twoleg and Shrewtooth has a panic attack. They reveal that their strange behavior was due to them being haunted by awful memories of their abusive Twoleg even after getting away from them and joining SkyClan. Petalnose is nearby with Shortwhisker (neither say what for) and the two overhear this and Petalnose gets pissed (being a victim of an abusive Twoleg herself). She says they should find Shrewtooth's former owner and get revenge.

Leafstar organizes a patrol and the cats attack the abusive Twoleg en-masse and traumatize him away from messing with cats ever again.

The POV cuts to Stick, having snuck into Twolegplace at night again, this time by himself. He reveals the true reason that he and the others joined SkyClan: they are in constant conflict with another gang of strays in the city lead by a cat named Dodge. Stick is particularly angry with the group because his daughter Red left to join said group. He believes that she was manipulated by a cat named Harley into joining. He encounters another stray named Onion who he thinks might know where Dodge's group is now, and attacks her using his new learned fighting moves from SkyClan to force her to tell him where they are. Stick still tries to kill her, but Shorty pulls him back and she runs away.

Meanwhile, Snookpaw finally manages to return to SkyClan, much to the joy of Frecklepaw and the other Daylight-Warriors. Leafstar goes on a patrol with Snookpaw, Cherrytail, and Billystorm and when the two of them are alone, Billystorm confesses romantic feelings to Leafstar. Despite feeling the same, she tells him that she cannot reciprocate his feelings to his sad acceptance due to her belief that she shouldn't take a mate as Leader. When the two return to camp, they encounter Sharpclaw and the young loner they encountered earlier. The loner, whose name is Egg, says that he wants to join SkyClan due to an encounter with a fox making him fear being by himself.

He is apprenticed to Sharpclaw, but refuses to take the suffix "-paw", wanting to keep his own name. The Clan are less unnerved by it then they were before due to the same thing happening with Stick and his group before.

Back to Stick's perspective, he's snuck back into Twolegplace again in the night looking for Red. He thinks she ran away because he was too protective of her. He finds her, but she flees into Harley's territory and he's forced to leave.

Leafstar has an argument with Billystorm about not believing that the loners are potentially sneaking into Twolegplace along with Sharpclaw now. She refuses to believe that Sharpclaw or Cora wouldn't tell her about this, but unconsciously comes across as cruel and Billystorm storms off. She has another argument with Echosong this time immediately after. Echosong tells her that she's being foolish and that she can absolutely be an effective Leader while having a mate. Leafstar explodes on Echosong because of her confusion and stress before leaving.

Leafstar takes a patrol to investigate some strange noises overheard by the kits, and they find a lost Twoleg kit. Echosong calms the kit down by acting like a kittypet. She tells the others that the kit's leg is broken and they need to bring an adult Twoleg to help treat her. Snookpaw helps find the kit's parents and they try to get them to follow them, but one of the Twolegs throws a flower pot at Snookpaw and they are forced to flee. Frecklepaw then uses some of the kit's objects to make a trail leading to the kit and the adults take the kit home.

Leafstar worries about being too close to Twolegs, but Echosong says that they've done the right thing and comforts her. She tells Leafstar that the Clan seems subdued and anxious so maybe they could lift their spirits somehow. Leafstar declares a Clan Meeting and gives Snookpaw the Warrior Name Snookthorn. Snookthorn thanks her but tells her that he won't be remaining a Daylight Warrior, and that the incident with the Twoleg made him realize that all he wants to be is a kittypet.

Later that night, Leafstar follows Sharpclaw, Cherryblossom, Stick, Cora, Coal, Shorty, and Snowy as they sneak into Twolegplace. She encounters Billystorm, who asks if she believes him now, and they argue but both agree to follow the group. Leafstar confronts Sharpclaw and the others and they quarrel. Sharpclaw's stance on non-SkyClan blooded cats has changed due to receiving Egg as his apprentice, and he felt empathy towards Stick when he found him sneaking into the city to look for his daughter. He assumed Leafstar wouldn't agree to help and so decided to just do it himself.

Leafstar is upset that none of them told her, particularly Cora and Sharpclaw, who she trusted. Stick asks Leafstar to help him, but she says that it's her choice to make. Sharpclaw and Cherryblossom get angry at her, but by the time they return to camp, they apologize to Leafstar. He also tells Leafstar that he is willing to step down as Deputy if she wants him to, but she says she'll give him one more chance to prove his loyalty, but she will demote him if he steps out of line again.

Leafstar goes on a patrol with Ebonyclaw, Frecklepaw, Sparrowchirp, and Roseprance. Frecklepaw sees honey dripping from a beehive and decides to collect some, but gets attacked by bees in the process and the bees also swarm the others in the patrol. They rush back to camp, and Echosong declares that it's a prophecy: there is a battle they need to fight before it comes to them.

Leafstar finally agrees to help Stick, and she guides a patrol to Twolegplace. Billystorm comes too and he and Leafstar make up. Cora also apologizes to Leafstar for hiding what was happening from her- Stick was very insistent that they tell no one about what their mission was. They all discuss Dodge's group and prepare to fight. Billystorm catches a squirrel and he shares it with Leafstar. Cora catches a mouse by herself and eats it next to them as they cheer her achievement.

Sharpclaw creates battle plans as Stick guides the group to Twolegplace. The resulting fight against Dodge's group is brutal and Leafstar loses a life in the battle. She also helps Cora stop Coal and Shorty from attacking a pregnant molly- they ask Cora if she's betraying them for SkyClan in anger, but they are interrupted by the battle. Stick confronts and kills Harley for "tricking Red". An outraged and grief-stricken Red severely wounds her father in retaliation but stops short of outright killing him. Her last words to him before she runs away are her telling him that she never wants to see him again, and that she'll kill him if she does.

The Clan cats and Stick's group are victorious, but Stick is bitter and disheartened by Red's reaction towards him killing her mate, and he tells the rest of his group that they're returning to Twolegplace. Cora doesn't move from her place by Leafstar and Billystorm, and when Stick and the others question her, she says that their behavior in the battle (Stick killing his daughter's mate, Shorty and Coal almost attacking a pregnant cat who wasn't even participating in the battle) has destroyed her faith in them and that she will be staying in SkyClan. Stick and the others then leave in silence.

The book ends with Leafstar, Billystorm, Cora, and Echosong laying peacefully in the sun together, glad to get some rest now that everything is over.
