ugh! in mental distress over change and the world and growing up and the passage of time! maybe tomorrow i'll reread I Am Princess X
#i said this#my comfort book; does NOT adress those themes#until i reread it tomorrow i'm not sure if it's the book i've reread the most#but the times i've read it are defiitely over a longer period than The Goose Girl#bought this baby at the 2nd grade Scholastic Book fair and well i wouldn't say my life way changed#but it implanted into my heart & brain#i always look to see what else the author wrote and it's always just steampunk and horror. not stuff i'm interested in#i am princess X has such real-feeling characters and i don't really expect those from either of those two genres so it is intruiging tho#it's not the most meaningful or interesting or impactful or best book i've read. i'm not even sure if it's my top favorite#but man if no one else got me I Am Princess X got me!!#ps: if you know this book PLEASE let me know#ON GOOD READS I've only READ IT THREE TIMES???#i swear i read it again after i read it ni 2019...... at some point#did ireally just think about it that hard forever?
