heroes and shadow 2005 are like brothers to me. they share models and some visual cues, shadow inherited gameplay elements from heroes (chaotix's mission-oriented campaign) and improved upon them (you must play the game multiple times but can customize your playthrough to your liking and the experience is bite-sized). they couldn't be more different from one another tonally but both of them have a sincere and unapologetic approach to their respective presentations, to the point im not sure if there are other sonic games that are that committed to their visions that they spit in the face of cringe. they both cater to their own niches and no one else. im obsessed frankly
