Roman Torchwick used to be a nobody. His father was a nobody. His mother was a nobody. They were part of the faceless mass of Vale. Things weren’t bad for him until his parents died when he was young, leaving him on the street.

And once he was on the street, it didn’t take him very long to fall in with the criminals. And yet even there, he was faceless. And that just wouldn’t do at all. He was always the first to volunteer for any job, and he was bound and determined to stand apart from the rest.

As he grew older, and rose higher in the ranks, he gathered a few eccentricities that toed the line of theatrical(when they didn’t outright cross into it), an eclectic smattering of lovers, and an impeccable fashion sense. Just ask him about the last one, he’ll tell you.

Where as a child, he was sympathetic and empathic toward those that were in his same situation, as he grew older he quickly began looking down his nose at the others, insisting that he was somehow better than them. He started to insist that he was better, and that anyone who wanted to raise up from their station should take a lesson from him. If he spotted a flair for the dramatic, he would even take an apprentice a time or two.

As he continued to rise in the ranks of the criminal underground, he made the decision that he would never again be a background character, or a prop. He was going to take center stage.

And he took Vale by storm. Now he all but rules the underbelly of Vale, and he has never looked back once.

can I send you an online hug for the poitns you added to M&K because you are so on point. season 4 feels to me like a fanfic esp Miles Luna's self-insert fanfic and blandly written too. and contradictions esp with Qrow lately. Ok, so they scrapped personalities but they kept goddamn backstory. Like he is so close with Yang and Ruby, especially Ruby.1/2

She copied his style of figthing, color-scheme and even took on same weapon. HE FUCKING TRAINED HER. why would he do this if he’s such bad luck? and why would she turn so awesome? and he saved her and Yang so it seems like they were LUCKY HE’S BEEN THERE. It doesn’t add up. It just seems like cheap Misery Porn because writers want to be edgy and deep.

For real. Miles Luna has never been very good at character development. We see that in RvB with Tucker, specifically. And we’ve seen it again with Jaune and now with Ruby.

Now, to play Devil’s advocate here, Qrow may have gone through quite a lot that we know nothing about (nor will we because M&Kare allergic  to chardev unless it’s right about to kill someone off) that makes him think that he’s “bad luck”

Granted I have my own reasons  for why Qrow would think that but that’s for Bossverse and I’m not going to talk overmuch about that here.

Do you have any ships planned for bossverse? Maybe not with a heavy focus, but what ships would turnout in the endgame?

Ruby is my asexual child, and I’m not sure anyone will strike her romantic fancy yet.

I don’t really have Weiss doing much save for getting over herself so far as Pyrrha and Jaune are concerned.

Blake and Sun are probably endgame with Sun taking his rightful place as Emperor of Vacuo and Blake reforming the White Fang

Yang and Neptune end up in an open relationship because of Yang’s hypersexuality and Neptune just not being the kind of guy who wants to be tied down.

I am hilarious Arkos trash.

Also Renora because team JNPR is Team Christian Mingle lbr.

Idk what I’m doing with the villains yet but Cinder defs has a past with Roman that I want to explore.

Also Mercury and Emerald have something going on there I will pull up receipts if you don’t believe me.

There are also other characters that I’m bringing in that will have ships and stuff all their own.
