okay but don't tell me I am the only one who rememberd Teh asking Oh-Aew why his hair smells so good and he says coconut shampoo leaving Teh all confused and puzzled because he hated the smell of coconuts-again symbolizing Oh Aew- but now that they have reconciled and rebuilt their friendship and he feels happy so he likes their smell again is direct opposite of Pat saying to Toto who asked why he removed his shirt and Pat said "it (the shirt) smelt bad" they very same shirt Pran gave him first time he gave him clothes, the same shirt he wore in public nefore and the same shirt's smell that he complimented earlier) because Pran's emphasis on keeping their relationship secret deeply hurts him.

Things that made me go "What Beautiful writing" in I Promised You The Moon
Teh's mom letting him she knew about him and Oh-Aew and has accepted them all this while. Hell not just accept them but loves them because she gives the good luck tailsman to Teh too.
Tumblr media
Also their first kiss of the season happening out in open in front of body of water - with people aroubd them as opposed to deep inside the water where no can see.
Teh and Oh-Aew planning their joint future in acting together in front of movie poster- the very thing that began their rivalry.
Oh-Aew crying in front of strangers and them understanding him and becoming friends - adorbale. ADORABLE kind people. They really went damn a puppy is here - we gotta adopt him.
Tumblr media
Oh-Aew realising he is not interested in acting anymore and having the courage to walk away and Fang showing courage by walking waway from something she dearly loves but the fate - including the circumstances and time isn't approving of her love for acting.
Oh-Aew accidentally discovering his interest and aptitude for advertising the very same way he discovered for acting.
Oh-Aew assuring Teh that even if he changes he won't leave his side after Teh tells about him being afraid of Oh-Aew changing and getting distant.
Tumblr media
Teh taking care of drunk Oh-Aew. My heart was a melted throughout the sequence- yes he was annoyed at him drinking and changing because he doesn't do change well- but that doesn't diminish his care for him.
Teh being insecure because he is loosing the common thing that drove rivalry and reconciled their friendship and reignited as love and lashing out and dismissing Oh-Aew as he did earlier in S1.
Teh missing Oh-Aew but knowing what to do about it because he doesn't know how to communicate any emotions other than when it comes to his passion.
And when he does, its too late because he and Oh-Aew knows that Oh-Aew desrrves better so he has to do the right thing and apologies and opens us heart out but Oh-Aew's heart is so full of hurt that he doesn't have any space.
THAT AMUSED BEMUSED SMILE OH-AEW GAVE TEH WHEN HE WAVED HIM DURING THE 2 SECOND BREAK WHEN CHANGING SCENES DURING THE PLAY BECAUSE ONLY OH AEW CAN SEE EVEN IN DARK AND EVEN TEH WANTS ONLY OH AEW TO SEE HIM
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After the leap, Oh-Aew supporting actor Teh and being proud of him.
Their first meet in office after break. Oh-Aew having a better idea of who he is and being happy with it. Teh being happy with his career and passion but still missing the happiness until he sees Oh-Aew. Them initially being awkward and guarded but when they get comfortable how Teh sniffs and says coconut scent and Oh-Aew's hand pausing from typing- showing how they still have feelings for each other and how that still affects them.
Tumblr media
Teh apologising for past with his thesis play of their lives story being so so cathartic because it is what drove him apart. And the idea of what he can do for play coming from Oh-Aew and Teh doing that- chefs kiss.
Teh uploading on Instagram showing how open he is ready to be. Oh-Aew saying - let's go and speak to each other because yes Teh didn't but also Oh-Aew didn't when he saw Teh and Jay.
The reconciliation with the fact that "no one can replace you for me" with their own feelings and each other and that happening on a beach as opposed to on a mountain with beach on the view. Them being on the beach- flat ground showing they as individuals and as a couple are on a steadier ground now and just like waves happiness, sadness, hurt, anger, joy, gratitude will come and go without a particular end or beginning. And it happening at the time of the that towards the end of the day - but not at the end of the day implying that their relationship can and maybe as multicoloured and bright like sunset or as dark and calm with very little light on a moony night but they can always survive it as long as they work together with each other to either bring the light for next day or wait to see the light for next day - also the fact it BEGAN with them FINALLY giving the bouquet on a good note when thought yhe season earlier any bouquet planned to give ended up with tears for botj of them - Oh-Aew during Jai's and Teh's drama thesis.

Unjust criticism on I Promised You The Moon
The criticisms I Promised You The Moon gets - especially when in comparison to I Told Sunset About You are so so unjust and unfair.
Because no sequel, no matter how well written and IPYTM is - it will simply not live up to ITSAY.
It is more like a matter of cannot.
Because of the place it is set in- the more relaxed and serene Phuket with THAT cinematography and MOST importantly - the age of Teh and Oh-Aew, the last years of adolescence - where they still are kids with dreams but also becoming the adult that knows the practicalities and the cost of achieving those dreams and not having naive ideas like "all we need to achieve dream is hardwork" because they understand that the world is not as simple.
And that beautifully messy and complicated age of adolescence is not there in IPYTM - they are beginning to be more of proper adults figuring out future careers not in earlier langauge of only dreams and hard work but also CV, career opportunity, sabbatical and more.
So, IPYTM will never have the magic of ITSAY because its more of reality.

Why Teh of I Promised You The Moon is not an asshole
Okay so Teh is someone has difficulty acknowledging his emotions and communicating them is already established in I Told Sunset About You - remember that.
In IPYTM- he is away from home for the first time (yes, Oh-Aew is too but he is better abd expressing his emotions and saying what he is feeling and thinking- like my man legit cried in front of strangers and got adopted into their friend group) but Teh isn't. One thiny he openly speaks and expresses passionately about is his future aspirations and career. Something in which he thought he would have Oh-Aew by his side (after he worked long to not to see him as a rival and as a companion who will acheive success in acting together) and now he sees this person- only person familiar to him in a strange place changing in small (hair colour, clothes) and big (changing career) and he was scared - he may loose him too (yes he should have communicated it but its Teh so)
And now when he is feeling all of this, he finds a person (read asshole) who is as passionate about acting and films as he is, who understands why it means so much to him, who asked him to write his innermost thoughts in a diary - that Jay read and behaved and said things accordingly (read manipulated) for his own selfish motives and gains (something he acknowledged when he said - I did whatever I did for my play)
So, no. Teh is not an asshole. He is a dumbass who could have done better - like most of us.
