Northern Red-legged Frogs are a fairly common sight in the coastal rainforests of British Columbia. Their numbers are hugely depressed from historic highs like so much of Canada's boreal wildlife, thanks mostly to unchecked deforestation and severe clear-cutting operations. This is one form of habitat loss that is reversible with just a trace of political will, though sadly there's not even a trace to be found yet. @frog @noclearcuts @rainforestalliance @divine_forest #frogs #frog #borealforest #borealconservation #redleggedfrog #amphibious #amphibian #forest #rainforest #temperaterainforest #vancouverisland #VI #nanaimo #bc #britishcolumbia #canada #canadian #stopclearcutting #saveourforests #wildlife #wild #green #coastal https://www.instagram.com/p/CNfqF9cgMql/?igshid=b4qz3k6e277p

Canada's #boreal #forest represents 25% of the worlds remaining intact forest. “We have to recognize that this is one of the last great conservation opportunities in human evolution on Earth.” @Bird_Wells @thenarwhalca https://t.co/IFRBT8w2MI
