Random thought I had while listening to the song Dont you worry child By Swedish house mafia - the lyrics used are bolded (I’m supposed to be finishing an assignment, so I wrote this in like 15 minutes but enjoy:) )

pair: Thomas Bordeleau x reader

You & Thomas are in Montreal visiting his family, and he’s been showing you all of the places he caused chaos as a child. Today, youre taking his parents car somewhere, but you dont know anything other than he told you to wear comfy clothes.

You pull into a parking lot next to a lake and hop out. Its a pretty easy walk, he tells you, but I’ve something I want to show you. The two of you start out, chatting as you walk around. You cut through the forest on a little path that opens out onto a smaller lake, the most gorgeous shade of blue. He pulls you forwards, towards a little patch of flowers. He stands behind you, arms around your waist as you stare at the sight in front of you.

“Its beautiful” you breath out, afraid to talk too loud & disturb the silence. “Not as beautiful as you” he whispers in you ear, sending shivers down your spine. Four years together & he still makes you feel like a giddy teenager.

“You know, up on that hill across the blue lake” he points his finger just ahead of you but slightly to the left, “Thats where I had my first heartbreak” Youre a little confused as to why he’s bringing this up, but let him keep going. “She was my first serious girlfriend and I was 15, trying to decide whether or not to to got to the program or play in the Q. I was pretty set on the program, and she told me we could try long distance. Then, one day out of the blue we were over there & she told me that she couldn’t do it & we were done. I thought she was my great love, and I still remember how it all changed. I went home so upset, ready to stay here & play so we could stay together and my father said, dont you worry, child. Heavens got a plan for you. I didnt think it then but he was absolutely right”

He removes his arms and you turn around to see him getting down on one knee. “If I’d stayed here, I never would have met you, and I know that was heavens plan. There’s no one who can compare to you, and youre the one for me. Will you make me the happiest man alive & marry me?” He stares up at you, a soft expression on his face and a hopeful smile.

Tears are streaming down your face as you nod. “Yes! I love you so much.”
