Cuando unas botas te eligen y adoptan (ok, las compras o te las regalan - por lo general las compras) son perfectas, únicas, quieres que siempre permanezcan así, impolutas y relucientes. El tubo o caña está perfectamente erguido, el empeine tiene ésa deliciosa y delicada curva que cualquier afortunada lengua se deslizaría cómo un esquiador en una pendiente nevada hasta llegar a la perfecta y valerosa punta.

Y qué decir de las suelas, limpias, brillantes y perfectas. Igual te deslizas en cualquier pavimento, aunque con el tiempo ya no te resbalas tanto.

Aunque después de un tiempo ya no son las mismas, el tubo ya no está perfectamente erguido, el empeine parece que tomó otra forma y una infinidad de marcas de pliegues, y es ahí cuando tus botas son perfectas y únicas. En esos pliegues puedes divisar su sonrisa, la posición del tubo aparte de revelar cómo te acomodas mejor, muestra la gran satisfacción de engalanarte.

Esas marcas, son los registros de sus grandes aventuras y victorias, de toda la diversión y satisfacción que han tenido (y lo qué falta).

Por ello, tus botas viejas o muy caminadas son mejores, así cómo los mejores vinos o tus grandes amigos, con el tiempo, se vuelven invaluables.

Today's work tip: A scheduled business meeting at 7am is generally not going to be a good meeting. 🤪 Some of you may know this, but some of you might need to remember this for your future days. I posted these before and they don't have a lot of wear on them so they do well for a corporate casual look. They probably would be happier on a ranch.
