Give thanks everyday!
Good evening my fellow fitness lovers,
Tonight I wanted to talk about giving thanks every single day. I wanted to touch on this topic because this week is Thanksgiving and its important to give thanks on the Thanksgiving holiday but it is also very important to realize we should be giving thanks the other 364 days of the year. I know I am guilty of just saying and telling the people I care about I am thankful for them when I wish them a Happy Thanksgiving. However, I am trying to do a better job of giving thanks everyday.
I want to talk about how Cyclebar has taught me so many things about life. It has taught me to be thankful to be able to do this kind of workout every day. Some people physically can’t do this type of workout. Cyclebar has also taught me to be thankful for the positive energy in the studio and the Cyclebar community as a whole. I have talked and talked about how the rides at Cyclebar have and give off the best energy. I am grateful for this community because it has taught me important life lessons. I also am thankful for my older sister Colleen who introduced me to my second home. I would not be writing these blogs if it wasn’t for my sister telling me to try Cyclebar. My life would be TOTALLY different if I didn’t have the courage to try something new and out of my comfort zone. It’s important to give thanks everyday.  Everyday you wake up has a meaning and a purpose. What is your next goal you want to achieve before we say goodbye to 2019? It can be anything such as a school goal, work goal or even a workout goal. You can do anything if you put your mind to it. My motto in life is always MIND OVER MATTER. Believe in yourself, you got this.
Give thanks everyday to the people who care about you because life is way too short!
Till next time, and happy almost turkey day!

Friday Fun!
Good afternoon my fellow fitness lovers,
Today, I wanted to talk about my first Happy Hour Ride at Cyclebar! Did you know at Cyclebar that every Friday night they usually have a Happy Hour Ride at 5:30pm? You are probably like, I don’t want to workout on a Friday night... I know I was thinking the same thing. I usually workout on Friday mornings to get it out of the way. However... now that I have been to a Happy Hour Ride, I want to try to go every week! Not only do you feel accomplish at the fact you went to a class on a Friday night but you also get to have a free glass of wine or beer or even a truly after class! What is better than that? After class, you can socialize with other riders. Some riders just leave afterwards but there are some that stay. This past week, I stayed for awhile and met some awesome people. I love how Cyclebar is a community and not where you can just go to your workout and leave.
Also, I always talk about how awesome the energy in the room at Cyclebar is and let me tell you... On Friday nights, the energy is out of this world! I went this past Friday and there were so many CycleStars (instructors) that came to this ride! I have never been in a class where there is more than 2 or 3 CycleStars riding as a rider AND THEY BRING THAT ENERGY. I mean every song they were putting out that positive energy and that made other riders have that same energy as well.
If you ever want to go try your first ride at Cyclebar, I recommend going to a Happy Hour Ride! You will definitely get a feel of how fantastic the Cyclebar community is!

Stretch More, Complain Less!
Hey again my fellow fitness lovers!
Tonight I wanted to talked about how IMPORTANT it is to stretch before your workout. A few days ago, I was rushing to my cycle class and I didn’t have time to stretch beforehand like I usually do. During my ride, my lower back gave out and I had some serious back pain. I wasn’t sure why it was hurting so bad... Then I was thinking about how I didn’t stretch and that could of been one of the reasons why I had the lower back pain. Tip 101 : If you experience any pain after a workout, your body is telling you that you might need a break. I workout usually everyday and my family was telling me that my back was hurting because I wasn’t taking a break of cycling. Tip 102: Take time BEFORE and AFTER to stretch. A few minutes of stretching will go a long way for your body.
I decided to take a day off from cycle because I knew If I went the next day to ride, I could make my back pain worse. Tip 103: Listen to your friends and family. I know that sometimes we are all like “Im good, I’ll be ok” and then the next day you complain about your pain to your friends and family and they are like we told you to take a break... Listen to them the first time. Lastly, Tip 104: If you are experiencing any back pain, Ice it then put some heat on it. I did ice and heat and it made my back feel so much better! I know that sometimes you get caught up in a workout routine and you want to meet your workout goal for that week,  but sometimes you have to listen to your body! It’s very important to stretch before every workout. The more you stretch, the less complaining you will do!

Spooky Beats!
Good evening my fellow fitness lovers!
Who doesn’t love dressing up in costumes and working out at the same time? This morning there was a Spooky themed ride and OH how it was so much fun. Not only was it a themed ride but it was a DUAL instructor ride. Double the motivation! Am I right? Anyways, the instructors created a spooky playlist that included some awesome remixes! Rides like this one, I will always remember! This is one of the reasons why I LOVE Cyclebar. They incorporate fun holiday rides that will make the ride more enjoyable. It wasn’t because of the costumes that made the ride for fun... It was the people and the positive environment. I am always preaching that at Cyclebar its not about you or me, its about we. Because riders decided to dress up for the theme ride and bring that positive energy with them, it made everyone bring the energy!
For this ride, I was trying to decide what I was going to be! I picked an 80s fitness gal. So I took it back to the 80s! I knew I was going to have to work out in it, so I was like might as well pick a costume I could work out in. Am I right? It was also fun because my instructors did the same costume, so we were all in our workout 80s leotard and our leg warmers! Boy. It was HOT. I was thinking to myself, how did women back in the day wear these to workout in... The leotard was stuck to my body and I felt like I had no air at all  when I was riding! In all, this spooky beats rides was a ride to remember! Tip: If you go to a workout class, suggest a theme especially if its around a holiday! They are more fun and more motivating as well! Enjoy the rest of your spooky szn!

Keep on Moving!
Good evening my fellow fitness lovers!
Have you ever had a week in your life where you couldn't catch a break? Like little things happening throughout your week you feel like its the worst week of your life... Well, I felt like that last week. Every single day, something happened and my emotions were all over the place. My rides last week weren't my best because I was distracted with stuff that was going on in my life. However, Saturday was different. I said goodbye to that week and wanted to start fresh over the weekend. I usually ride on Saturday mornings at Cyclebar because one they are the best days to ride ( That energy is HIGH). Two, a cyclebar ride is a great way to start your Saturday!
So I was strolling in on Saturday morning, feeling extra motivated to have a great ride because I wanted to leave everything that happened that week behind me. Deia was the instructor that taught that Saturday morning (she's amazing by the way, take her classes). Not only did she teach an AMAZING class, she also inspired me. She talked about perspective. “You showed up here this morning for a purpose. What is that purpose? If you have any challenges in your life that you are facing, if they DO NOT serve you, get rid of them.”  Deia, thank you for that incredible ride. Your ride made me really think about my perspective that I had when I let all of those challenges that I faced the past week take over me. It made me realize, I have a support team behind me. My family, friends, and especially my Cyclebar family. If something doesn't go your way and you are faced with challenges, know that you have a support team behind you and don't bring those challenges in your life that don't serve you.
Shoutout to Deia for bringing my energy back to life on that Saturday. Im grateful that you are apart of my Cyclebar journey! Next time you feel like your world is crashing down, take a step back and look at your perspective. My motto is always MIND OVER MATTER. Make this week have a purpose! Believe in yourself!

Treat Ya Self!
Good evening my fellow fitness lovers!
Have you ever rewarded yourself for accomplishing something? My point of this is that when you achieve a goal either it attending 3 workout classes a week or riding 20 times in a month or completing a milestone, treat ya self to a little somethin somethin! It can be a something small like a headband or a water bottle or getting a sweatshirt or t-shirt! For me, when I complete a goal, I do something for myself. Either getting a smoothie after class or getting something from Cyclebar.
Cyclebar has A TON of nice retail. Some things can be expensive but it depends on what you buy. I just treated myself to a sweatshirt for a couple of reasons. 1. I’ve been wanting a Cyclebar sweatshirt for so long now. And YALL its finally Fall. So I can finally wear a sweatshirt and feel cozy! and not feel all that sweat fall down my back! and 2. I achieved a milestone last month and I achieved the September Challenge. I decided why not? I accomplished two of my workout goals in one month and I have been working HARD in my classes.  Sometimes guys, you just have to reward yourself for your hard work. It doesn't have to be something expensive, just something for YOU. It can also motivate you! If you want something expensive, you can work towards buying it for yourself! Some examples can be a dessert or going out to eat or grabbing a drink with a friend. Another example can be clothing from the workout place. I know for me, when I wear my Cyclebar clothes out in public, I feel confident! People ask me whats that place all about? is it fun? Its just a reminder of my favorite place and why Its so dear to my heart!
Next time you achieve a goal, go treat ya self!
Till next time,

Woo your heart out!
Good afternoon my fellow fitness lovers!
Today, I wanted to talk about ways to create positive energy in your workout classes. At Cyclebar, the way I create high positive energy is wooing when its a good song or if I am dancing on the bike while riding. Yesterday in my class it was one of those classes where I had energy the WHOLE time. I told my instructor that I think this was the most woo’s I have ever done in a class before. I mean like during the songs I wooed, when she was motivating us to go faster I wooed.. I believe that wooing helps other riders want to work harder in their ride. Im just in the best mood when I go to my cycle classes and I want others to feel the same way. Its important to give off positive energy while working out because it makes you feel more motivated to do well and feel good about yourself!
I know sometimes people think its weird to shout or woo during a workout class  because its out of the ordinary and its distracting; however its a great way to feel that positive energy and use it to motivate you to finish your workout stronger than ever! One time after a ride, another rider came up to me and said thank you for bringing that energy in our class today. I saw you smiling and wooing and it motivated me to work harder and it was one of the best rides I have ever taken. Those comments from her made me feel that I was apart of their CycleBar experience. Because at CycleBar we are a team and we are fueled by each others energy! Woo your heart out because you are a ROCKSTAR!

Smash your goals!
Good evening my fellow fitness lovers!
You guys know that feeling when you accomplished a goal that you have been nonstop working towards? Well, I felt that feeling last night. Yesterday, I hit my first milestone at Cyclebar with hitting 100 rides! Not only is that a huge accomplishment but I did that in only 4 months! The amount of love and kind words that were said to me made me feel so loved. It was an amazing feeling to be around people who cared about me hitting my goal. People who know me, know that I talk about Cyclebar all the time.. Like all the time. I keep talking about it because this place is not just a place you go workout and leave. Its a place that you feel at home and you feel the energy and connections from one another during your ride. I know for me, Cyclebar is my second family.
TIP 101, if you want to achieve your goals, write them down. I do this every year because I know if I see it written down I will achieve them. This can be any kind of goals such as school, work, workout goals etc. Get a white board from Target or Walmart and get some expo markers and write all your goals down. When I achieve a goal I check it off! Tip 102, be proud of what you accomplish! Don't feel like you are being extra with posting it everywhere on your social media, post because you are proud of yourself! That feeling of accomplishing your goals is the BEST feeling ever. These tips will make you want to create goals of your own and by seeing them on ur mirror or whiteboard everyday will motivate you to accomplish them! Be proud and celebrate yourself when you achieve your goals!! You got this! Be confident, be strong and especially be YOU!

At Cyclebar we celebrate one another!
Good morning my fellow fitness lovers,
Yesterday, I went to a LIVE DJ ride for one of my instructors birthday.  It was of the coolest rides I have ever attended. Not only was the music was on point but the energy that came from the live DJ was absolutely awesome. At Cyclebar, we love to celebrate one another! Either it being your birthday or achieving a ride milestone. For example, this week I will be achieving my first milestone at Cyclebar with riding 100 rides! I will definitely talk about that after I hit it this upcoming week!
The Cyclebar community cares about one another and wants to make sure everyone is being celebrated. My sister (who told me about this amazing place) had her birthday ride back in August. That was one of the rides I will never forget. I remember the pure joy on her face from others saying “happy birthday” and just caring about her. I surprised her with flowers and a card on her bike so when she came into the studio she had something special for her birthday. These are just a few examples of how at Cyclebar its not about you or me, its about WE. We care about one another, we celebrate one another and we celebrate our goals and milestones. I know for me, I have never been in a workout environment that cares about who I am and what I want to accomplish. Not only the people who work there, the instructors, but the people I have met along the way are all family. Whenever you need a fresh start of finding a new workout environment, try out Cyclebar. You will love how this place cares about YOU and your workout goals.

AM vs.PM workout- Choose a time that best suits YOU!
Hello my fellow fitness lovers,
Today I wanted to talk about the pros and cons of working out in the morning or at night. For me personally, I love working out either mid morning like 9-10am or early evening 6-7pm. I am not a 6am type of girl! I brought that up because yesterday I decided to cycle very early in the morning and WOW. The difference is REAL.   PROS for working out that early is that you get it out of the way and you feel motivated! I know yesterday when I worked out at 7am, I was in a great mood afterwards because I know I just accomplished something for the day! CON: TOO EARLY! my legs do not have the same energy that they do when I cycle at night. However, working out at night is kinda a struggle too... Its like when you have been working or going to classes all day and when that clock hits 5pm, you are ready to go home and eat dinner and go to bed! PRO of working out at night, you finish your day in a great positive mood! I realized that CycleBar has not only made me stronger and more fit, but it has boosted my confidence and made me a better person! TIP: Anytime to workout is great but just try different times out and see what kind of time works for your schedule and your body! A pro at CycleBar is that they have workouts at any time of the day! Early morning, mid morning, early afternoon and early evening! So, what is your favorite time to workout?
