I don't think you're a true reader if you aren't sad when you finish a good book because it's over and you can never experience it again for the first time. Like sure you can reread, but it's just not the same.

The Series of Unfortunate Events is cathartic to read, not because the children suffer, but because it’s a reminder I’m not alone in my suffering. That there are bad people, always will be. But it’s always darkest before the dawn.

Or I’m sitting here devastated that my entire series has been ruined by mold. The ones my late aunt got me. I can never get that sentimental value back. We had a difficult relationship. But that one time she thought of me.

And I’ll never get it back.

went to the worlds biggest book fair today✮⋆˙

it was absolutely gorgeous!! - less crowded than on Saturdays or Sundays because the fair opened today (at least for non-business people).

met an author I used to love growing up, bought this beautiful copy of mary shelleys ‚frankenstein‘, a grinch mug and a snoopy plush figure :) plus lots of freebies like that postcard.
