As the cover says “This book is very close to perfect.” I could not agree more. . I know it does not sound like it should be for everyone but I can assure you it is. It’s set on a magical island. Linus Baker lives and dies by the Rules and Regulations book as a caseworker in the Department in Charge of Magical Youth. His assignment is to travel to a magical island to determine if the six magical children are dangerous and ready to bring the end of days. An unlikely group of children, led by Arthur Paranassus leads you to ask what’s more important nature vs nurture and what truly makes a family. There are so many powerful quotes in this I could practically highlight the entire book. It’s a book of kindness, acceptance and true love and may be my favorite book of 2020. .
