the problem with finishing a weird and fucked up little book is that the next night you will go to bed thinking oh ho! more weird and fucked up book to read! but there isn't. what now.

#welp onto the next one!#hoping for more weird less fucked up this time tho #like i had a good time but there was an alarming amount of piss talk tbh #and the whole. generational trauma child abuse thing. which may go some way to explaining at least some of the piss #but really. my god. that family sure did pee a lot for a 200 page book #book is bestiary by k-ming chang do recommend if you want weirdo teenage lesbians and trauma uncovery #and i cannot stress this enough. it is Odd. its myth and magic and mundanity all at once and i cant tell how much of it is meant to be real #and how much is metaphor for the awful shit this family lived through
