Okay here’s the truth. I think we can all agree that Karkat picks his nose. Now we can also assume that like all of his bodily secretions, Karkat’s boogers are red. With someone so concerned with concealing his blood color, we can now make the reasonable conclusion that in order to hide the evidence of his mutant colored boogies, he eats them so that there is no trace. It’s just the most logical thing to do
