𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 : bakugo katsuki x gn! reader

𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗳 : march 4th, 2021

𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿'𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲 : so, this is new, right ? pff, so, i was bored and decided to write this after thinking about how much i actually dislike holding hands so... enjoy ? this wasn't really taken seriously, it's something casually created out of boredom and it's been a long, stressful day so.. have this jumbled mess of words that i slapped together lazily ! ( sorry i didn’t know how to end it HSBSNS- ) 🤡💛

"So when are you going to tell them about your painfully obvious crush on them?" Kaminari thought aloud, chin resting lazily on the palm of his hand, elbow leaning across his desk and out of the seat in favor of leaning closer to his hot-headed friend. The question, directed at the blonde, made his shoulders go rigid and tense, eyebrows furrowing as he turned to look over his shoulder. "What the hell are you talking about?" "Well it's pretty obvious!" was Kaminari's only response, lips pursed in mild boredom as his palm traveled to his cheek, smooshing his face into his hand. "I wouldn't be surprised if they already knew how much you liked them-" "What are you talking about?" Bakugo repeated, louder, voice trying to hold from yelling loudly.

While normally there would always be a scowl permanently painted onto his face, there were few days where Bakugo was more docile than what was expected. These days were spent with strong, hard stares, an occasional frown, and tired huffs when people ( such as Kaminari ) would get on his nerves. Today happened to be one of those blessed days, yet Kaminari obviously did not seem to care whether or not he ruined that day's streak of having no outbursts.

"You know, (name)!" "What about them?" Kaminari narrowed his eyes, huffing a bit as a cheeky grin broke out onto his face, emphasizing his point with a wave of his hand -- "Don't you have a crush on them? When are you gonna finally admit it?"

"WHAT?!"

Kirishima shook his head, having listening in silently for the better part of the conversation. "He is right Bakugo; it's kind of obvious..." the red-haired male murmured the last bit of his sentence, rubbing his neck with a nervous toothy smile. His eye only twitched, breathing out of his nose heavily, annoyed, before sitting back into his seat, straight as a board. When annoyed, just ignore, right?

He should have known that the strange tactic would never work on his strange group of friends.

"Oh c'mon! Wouldn't you like to be in a relationship with them?" Kaminari asked, laying on his desk at this point with how far he was leaning forward to try and get a reaction out of his easily-provoked friend. "Bakugo, you can't hide it forever, y'know? If you like them-" "Shut up." "But-" "I said shut up!" Kirishima sighed at the defensive response.

"But if you were in a relationship with (name) you can cook them food! You get to hold them! You can hold their hand and-"

"Hand holding's for losers."

"Bakugo!!" Kirishima sighed, shaking his head as he leaned on his side against the desk, looking to his best-friend with a knowing and yet playful glare with a smile gracing his lips. "You know you can't hide it forever. We," Kirishima gestured between himself and Kaminari, of who was grinning widely and nodding vigorously along, "-know you won't hide it for that much longer. So why not admit it already?" "Yeah, I mean at this point if you don't admit it then it's kinda creepy, given how much you stare at them..." Kaminari added, scrunching his nose in what seemed to be deep thought.

His ear's burned in embarrassment, pink no doubt flashing across his cheeks in flushed embarrassment, grumbling under his breath with a scowl growing on his face. He didn't stare at you that much, did he? "Shut up! I don't stare at anybody, you damn extra!" "Uh, that's a lie-" "Shut up before I-" Bakugo had rose from his seat, eyes aflame with embarrassed anger before a hand rested on his back -- a soft touch, barely a pressure against the fabric of the classroom uniform. Judging by the way Kirishima's face broke out in a soft grin, along with Kaminari biting back a smirk with his lips caught between his teeth, Bakugo knew exactly who it was. Who it always was; the one who made him melt under their very gaze :

"(name)?"

i just imagine oikawa pestering Iwa but then notices he hasn’t been paying attention at all, and before he can pout to iwa, he find hajime staring at you from across the way and takes the situation into his own hands 😌

@fushiguroll : mattsukawa + “oh no, some creep has approached!”

i imagine your on the train or something cute, livin’ your best life, sitting down and enjoying the window view and doing whatever while you wait for your stop. soon enough some creep sits awfully close, practically hovering over your shoulder with how close they were — in comes this handsome stranger with a loud; “hey babe! c’mon, our stop’s next!” and pulls you out of your seat while shooting a glare to the now nervous creep as you get off at some random stop that wasn’t yours nor his- 😖✨

@floralkawa : yamaguchi + mutual pining

okay, but just imagine the both of you crushing real hard on one another, but either not realizing it or it’s just shyness or nerves getting in the way and 😖 either a burst of confidence or nudging from some friends on either side would bring ya’ll together-

@hajkyyuu : saeko + best-friend’s older sister

being tanaka’s best friend, along with nishinoya. you hang out at tanaka’s house for once and behold, who’s there? the finest woman you’ve ever laid your eyes on — and it’s your best friend’s sister!!! 😖🤩

@kohi-zeri : sugawara + coffee shop au

i think you both would compliment each other well and imagine, IMAGINE; the new coffee shop is jam-packed with a long line and customers lingering out, enjoying their cups. you need to find a seat but they all seem taken, until a sweet looking group of boys wave you over ( daichi with welcoming eyes, asahi with a nervous nod and smile, and sugawara with a graceful smile painted on his lips and a small blush on his cheeks 🥺🤩 )

@sunalma : suna + best friends to lovers

i think it’d be really sweet, just falling for the little things you both remember about each other or do for one another, the little things getting called out every so often but finally realizing it over time that you’re basically already a couple ☺️

@tetsurouandushigirl : ushijima + other team manager / player

okay, so you’re a manager for any other team of your choosing, and you meet shiritorizawa at some event or another or something what-have-you, and seem to bump into each other a lot during breaks and 🥺 helps you clean up the equipment when everyone else was getting ready to leave and leave it to the managers, fills water bottles with you uGH- ( i love amajima too much im sorry- )

@viridevi : bakugo + rivals to lovers

i think he’d only see you as a rival at first, much like he does with other peers amongst him, but over time he grows attached to you much like he did kirishima — kaminari would tease the living hell out of him while bakugo’s in the “i-totally-don’t-like-them-they’re-my-rival” phase 😖✨
