anyways i just posted my first george fic, but i wanted to talk about some “news” i’ve seen recently in the f1 community.

checo pérez quite literally has his seat threatened if he doesn’t perform by summer break? like, firstly redbull renews him for the next two seasons, but now they’re saying if he doesn’t perform this season he’s gonna be dropped? also, saying you renewed him just for confidence? christian horner i will hunt you down. and who is in talks to replace him… daniel ricciardo. moving on to daniel ricciardo.

daniel is also not performing what he should. given, yeah he’s in the shitbox. but he is also in news of “risking his seat for next season” but they’re gonna promote him to redbull? where’s the logic in that. he’s underperforming in a mid-field car, how is that helpful for him to be upgraded to one of the best cars on the grid. if i want someone to replace checo, it’s gonna be liam lawson. until the death, i will wish for liam lawson in that redbull seat.

next, ollie bearman to haas. ever since i knew ollie existed in the f1 world, i have been a fan. i’m not a big watcher of f2, but i’ve seen his stats. and saudi arabia? that was a mighty performance he gave! he absolutely deserves the seat next year, and i can’t wait to see him race in f1.

paul 👏🏼 aron 👏🏼 deserves 👏🏼 an 👏🏼 f1 👏🏼 seat 👏🏼!!! the man who is LEADING the f2 championship WITHOUT A WIN, who is leading based on pure CONSISTENCY, does not have a formula one seat for next year and this is an absolute crime!!!! (kimi antonelli hate incoming, cover ur eyes if you don’t wanna read this) paul aron deserves a seat much more than kimi.

KIMI ANTONELLI, MAN OF THE MERCEDES HOUR. needs more experience to be in f1. toto rushed the poor child. you pull him from f4 all the way to f2. you wanted him to be moved to f1 to replace logan, so he wouldn’t even have finished his f2 season. would’ve been from f4 to f1. is the man crazy?

lastly, carlos mf sainz. there’s rumors he’s holding on to signing because he’s also “replacing” checo, that versainz ship has sailed long gone. and as the biggest self-titled versainz 2025 truther before my dreams were crushed, i can come to terms that carlos will not be waiting for horner to drop checo mid-season. HOWEVER, i want carlos in that mercedes. goodbye williams, sauber, and alpine. give me carlos in mercedes 2025. see, listen to my mind logic. carlos to mercedes for two years, 2025 and 2026. 2026 will be the year audi comes in. carlos can see how audi performs, and if they have the potential carlos seeks carlos can move to audi. and once carlos’ 2-year contract ends, i can see kimi coming in to take the mercedes seat.

also did y’all see that whack ass movie trailer for f1? couldn’t come up with a better title. it’s just, f1. i love twitter, because they’re making pages about the movie’s team, such as the actual team twitter accounts, the drivers (team joshua or sonny? i’m team joshua), they even had nyck de vries on the team and he was also dismissed, gossip pages, it’s all over the place. it’s the best thing to come out of f1twt.

(Also English isn't my first language, but I've been learning it since I'm really young, so I think that won't be a problem)

You are driving home from the studio. You call Lewis, like you always do when he happens to be home. It's winter break in F1, so he has more free time than usually, but you can't take advantage of that, because you're working on your upcoming studio album. To your surprise Lewis doesn't pick the phone up. "He might be asleep" -you say to yourself. You never know what he's up to when you're away from home, but it doesn't bother you: you trust him. You finally pull up in the driveway and smile to yourself as you get out of the car, happy you're home early. You mostly arrive home late night, around 10-11 pm or even at midnight, but today Metro Boomin, the producer you're working on your new album with, told you to go home early. He knows how little time you get to spend with your boo.

You walk up to the door and walk in, greeting your boyfriend: "Lew, baby, I'm home!" He doesn't answer. You figure he's indeed asleep. Your bedroom is upstairs, in the other side of the house, so he can't hear your arrival. You tip-toe your way towards your bedroom, careful not to wake him, but the closer you get the more you hear the sounds of two people. You would think he's watching a movie, but you could tell his voice out of a million other ones. To your surprise the other voice belong to a female. The door was slightly open so you peeked in -just a little. Enough to see a skinny, blonde girl -your complete opposite- putting her clothes back on as Lewis is watching her. Tears well up in your eyes as you keep watching their interaction, slowly pushing the door open, while looking daggers at Lewis. If looks could kill, he would be dead. You slam the door behind you as you ask "why?"

Lewis immediately tries to explain it to you (if you can even explain anything in this situation), but you disrupt him: "Just shut the fuck up! Now tell me the truth..." He can't find the words, his eyes become watery.

"It's just- I'm sorry, I- I just missed your attention, love, please"

"I don't need your apology. This is just... asqueroso. Did he at least tell you he has a girl?" You look questioningly at the blonde. She just shakes her head no, while giving you a sympathizing look.

"¡serpiente!" You tell him through your teeth. "Get outta here! Not you though" You make the girl stay.

You try to be as kind to her as possible as she didn't know he had a girlfriend. As Lewis quickly skitters out of your house you sit the girl down on the sofa. "You need a drink?"

She whispers. "Yes please" She seems nervous, but you try to treat her the best you can. You hand her your water bottle, that you bought on your way home, letting her know it isn't open yet.

"When did this start?" My tears are still falling, but now that you don't see Lewis, you're starting to calm down a bit.

"A couple months ago, in a party. I thought he was single" She says, visibly upset.

"Didn't you recognise who he was though?" Lewis is pretty famous, not only as an athlete, but also as your boyfriend.

"He never told me he was famous. He's that racing driver? I love your songs, but I don't really watch F1 and I'm not into celebrities' lives like that."

"Thanks for telling me. May the Lord bless your soul."

"No problem. I'm sorry you had to walk in on that." She looks down, clearly embarrassed, while taking a sip of her water.

"How did you get here by the way?"

She looks down on the ground. "Lewis gave me a ride."

"Lemme call you an Uber." You sit down on the couch next to her, while yours tears start falling again.

"Thank you." She puts an arm around you after you throw your phone on the bed from the couch. "Are you okay? That guy's a dick, isn't he?" You just nod as you hug each other. She smells like vanilla and coconut shampoo.

"It's just... you're the complete opposite of me" I cry on her shoulder.

"Looks wise?" You nod. "You're beautiful!"

I smile through my tears. "Just like you"

"Thanks. Let's just agree we're both pretty, and have amazing personalities and he's just a prick." She smiles as you giggle.

"Doja was right. N✭ggas ain't shit." You both just giggle.

"Oh, the Uber's here. You'll find your way out?" She nods. Before she leaves you exchange numbers and hug each others goodbye.

After she left you put your hype song on: Drop the World by Lil Wayne ft. Eminem. You take Lewis' clothes, put them in his bags and throw them out the window, on the street. You decide to take care of his stuff (aka keep them). He has enough money to buy new stuff, right? You look in the mirror and run your hands through your curves while wiping your tears away -your better off this way. You decide to hit the stu and continue your work with Metro -maybe you'll bond will go deeper with him, now that you're both single?

so. the senna series.

im sure this has already been reviewed elsewhere already, and probably worded way better than what i can do. but i gotta throw my two cents in on this. overall?? it's not a bad show. i was excited to watch this series when it was announced, but anxieties crept in once it got closer and closer to being released. i was genuinely afraid it was going to be tabloid trash.... celebrity scandal...but it's not! its an okay show! is it the most in-depth and groundbreaking series?? no, absolutely not. at the heart of it, its a tv biopic. that's it. its just a biopic. its entertainment. i found myself cheering and booing and getting into the drama of it all, even though i know its not the whole truth. unfortunately, we're never gonna get the whole truth about ayrton senna, so don't go into this series looking for new truths and insights into ayrton senna the man....because there are none. visually its beautiful and the racing scenes are spectacular (interlagos!!) but i find the characterisations a bit lacking. i had to suspend my disbelief more than once when other drivers were on screen, cos they just aren't it!! but once i got over that i was enjoying it, i gotta admit.

this show seems to be trying to do what Rush did as a film, yet it doesn't quite make it there. (even the actor portraying niki lauda seems to be doing an impression of daniel bruhl's niki lauda!) i think though, at the end, this series isn't aimed at folks who are as brain-rotted about ayrton senna and f1 as i am, because there's just SO MUCH that's glossed over or re-invented, that i almost, almost, had a hard time taking it seriously. like, this ayrton is so smooth and charming and Nice™, everything comes easy for him, even the obstacles he faces, he just breezes past them. whereas the REAL ayrton was an asshole sometimes. the real ayrton acted ugly. tv ayrton doesn't act ugly. and!! let's not leave out alain!! to no one's shock, alain is portrayed as the Bad Guy™ that we should hate, because tv ayrton wants to win and to win he has to beat alain. so we boo and hiss and jeer at alain. he's a jerk and out for himself, not like our tv ayrton whose motivations are pure and good. (and of course ron dennis is a huge wet noodle in this. but hey, at least they got something right! lol) their rivalry is almost treated as a b-plot or something and not, oh i don't know, one of THE biggest pieces of formula 1 history. its such a fumble.

but anyway....if all you know is Senna from the movie, if all you know is Senna™ the myth, then this show is made for you. i'm not saying don't watch it if you're as batshit obsessed with f1 and ayrton as i am, no. as a matter of fact you should watch this, because it's got fast cars and racing and names we all know, even if the facts have been a little blurred and shuffled around. it's a perfectly cromulant show, and its good fun. but you're not going to learn anything, if that's what you want.

all that said, at the end of the show, i found myself crying.....i always find myself crying over ayrton senna....

Overall livery winner for me: VCARB, 100%. Ferrari is a very close second with that new dark red color bc wowww, but VCARB looks so good. And they made a pretty dramatic change from last year’s livery and really pulled it off.

Also Jack Whitehall, you have almost redeemed yourself to me, that was great.

I have been writing forever; I can't even remember a time when I wasn't writing—besides last month, lmao. Almost every one of my W.I.P.'s never get finished; until 60S which is my current one. They usually all have romance subplots, and I try to ensure they never really take over the original plot point. All of my word count goals aim for over 100k; for me, at least, that is enough to share the entirety of the story in my head.
