You take a deep breath as you look down at the map on your passenger seat. You wanted to make sure your return to the small town was absolutely necessary. All of your most treasured and simultaneously painful memories lived in the cobblestone paths and surrounding woods. A faint purple fog surrounded your steering wheel as you checked the geological map, trusting your centuries worth of practicing magic to keep you safe.
“Why do blood crystals only exist in this fucking town?” You sighed, running a hand through your hair. You took control of the steering wheel once again as your car shook from the cobblestone road.
An eerie chill ran down your back as you drove through town, the buildings still looked suspiciously well preserved. To anyone else, this looked like any other small historical town; brick buildings lining the narrow cobbled streets. Everything seemed so monotone now, you don’t remember it being this way.
As you turned the corner, your stomach knotted and you felt like you needed to throw up. You cleared your throat, resisting the urge to heave your breakfast up. The small church surrounded by an equally small cemetery made the hairs at the back of your neck stand up. You parked your car across the street, turning your head to face the building still standing after all this time.
“What am I doing here?” You groaned to yourself, your fingers tingling with a purple glow. You clenched your fists for a second, before relaxing again, then frowned at your hands. What the hell? The last time you had to deal with subconsciously showing your powers you were just starting out. Right behind that church. A glimmer in the surrounding woods caught the corner of your eye and you snapped your head towards it. There was nothing.
Maybe you were just imagining things.
Right as you faced forward to pull away, another glint. You were definitely not imagining it. You glued your eyes to the spot, the sound of your car door slamming shut made you flinch. You hadn’t realized you got out of the car. You could hear your heartbeat increase with every step you took.
Your hands felt warm, and without even glancing at them, you could tell faint streaks of purple circled your fingers. You took another deep breath, trying to focus on the spot in front of you. There was another glint, it shone right into your corneas. It was so bright you wanted to bring your hand up to shield your eyes.
And then, suddenly, as soon as it appeared, it was gone. You stopped mid step, the ground underneath you a different texture as you heard your shoe scrape against something rough. You looked down and quickly stepped aside with a gasp, you accidentally stepped on a small rectangular gravestone.
“Crap, sorry…” You groaned, stepping back. Your eyes scanned for the name of who was buried there, wanting to apologize. You crouched down, wiping the grass off the stone. You fell backwards as your whole body went rigid. Your breath picked up and your ears started ringing. You could hear your heartbeat in your ears as you clutched your chest with one hand and supported yourself with the other. You swallowed hard, slowly standing back up. As your eyes stung with tears, you struggled to croak out the name you hadn’t spoken in centuries. “Sorry, Wands.”
You swallowed the lump in your throat. You weren’t planning on coming to see Wanda, it had been almost 300 years since she died. You felt like you moved on. At least you told yourself you did. You never again had a friend as close to your heart as Wanda. You didn’t want to reopen the wounds you worked so hard to heal.
The fact you stepped right on Wanda’s grave was enough to creep you out, but what upset you more than anything was that you felt no connection to this gravestone. Even with the surrounding strangers you could feel some sort of energy emanating from each person eternally laid to rest. And from Wanda, someone you once loved and deeply cared for, you felt nothing. It was as if she was never there in the first place.
You wanted to barf. As you turned away from the gravestone, you decided to go into the church. You were here anyway, might as well revisit your roots. The sound of your shoes against the floor of the old church echoed in the space. You looked around, noticing the small differences to uphold the structural soundness of the building. You walked to the back corner, deciding to light a candle. As you lit the small prayer candle, you heard faint century old footsteps sound behind you.
It was late at night, you pulled your shawl tighter around your shoulders as you took refuge in the slightly warmer church. You walked a few steps closer to the altar, bowing your head and making the sign of the cross. As you made your way to the back of the church, your tears uncontrollably rolled down your cheeks once more. You don’t remember a time you weren’t crying.
You internally prayed to any higher being who would hear you, you felt hopelessly lost without Wanda. She was part of every aspect of your life. Now she was gone, and you didn’t have a chance to say goodbye. Now every night without fail, you took solace in the church, hoping that wherever Wanda was, she was okay and at peace. You hoped the peace she took from you brought her comfort in whatever form of afterlife there was.
You dragged your feet to the closest pew, your already bruised knees from your constant attendance sending a sharp pain up your body.
“Dear Heavenly Father,” You silently prayed, clasping your hands together as tight as you could make them. As you continued your prayer, you felt a pair of eyes on you, the same you’ve noticed every night. “Please, God, please let her be okay,” Your shoulders shook with sobs. “Please, whatever happened to her, let her be at rest,” You wiped your cheeks with the back of your hands. “Or bring her back to me, my lord. I need her, I need my best fr—” You knew you were more than that. “I need my Wanda.” You opened your eyes just enough to see your tear stains on the wood in front of you. “Amen.”
“Oh honey, God isn’t gonna help you with that,” Your eyes snapped open with a gasp, the one whose observant eyes belonged to now sitting at the other end. “Your faith astounds me. Every night you walk in here, begging for your Wanda back,” You frowned, you didn’t like the way her name sounded coming from her mouth. “But you know she’s buried right out front. So why do you come in here? Why don’t you stay out there with her?”
You sniffled, still frowning at the overconfident attractive woman sitting a few feet away from you. You opened your mouth to speak, unsure of what you’d say. You closed your mouth. Why did you come in here every night? What has God ever done for you besides taking your Wanda? You looked down at the wood between you as you sat on the seat, hearing the sound of raindrops against the large windows.
“You have a powerful energy,” She says, leaning towards you. “You have so much potential. I’m Dorothea.”
Dorothea passed on all her knowledge to you before she decided her life cycle was over. The corner of your lips tugged upwards as you remembered when she recruited you. Dorothea turned into a better mother figure than your own. She taught you everything you knew and every time you felt your power flowing through your body, you knew a part of her was with you too.
Your heart felt full as you walked back to your car. It felt weird. You once felt comfort here because of your faith; now you feel comfort there because of your power. You barely noticed Wanda’s grave as you walked back to your car, sending it a quick glance before looking ahead.
She didn’t linger here. You had to take comfort in that. You took a shallow breath. You had to.
It didn’t take long to get to the hotel from the church. It didn’t take long to get anywhere in the small town. The second you got out of your car, you felt eyes on you. Everywhere you looked there was at least one person who turned their head. You swallowed hard as you pulled your bag out of the trunk of the car, looking behind you sharply catching two strangers staring right at you. The sound of the trunk closing echoed in the space, dispersing any lingering looks, you never liked the center of attention.
The large building of the hotel seemed to be built long ago; it wasn’t there the last time you were in town, but you estimate the construction started not too long after you left. The air was surprisingly cold inside, it carried a weird energy you couldn’t quite pinpoint.
Your shoes clicked against the marbled floor as you made your way to the check-in desk. You took in the wall behind the counter, the intricate pattern almost comes to life with its flowing curves and surprising depth; the more you looked at it, the more detail you found. The front desk clerk rounding the corner to the front desk caught your attention. Her face seemed slightly paler than it was supposed to be and her hair was slightly tousled. Her blood stained shirt collar gave her away. When you turned your face to catch the more lingering looks sent your way you were finally able to pinpoint the weird energy you felt earlier.
You were in a hotel full of vampires.
Not everyone in the room was one, you could tell some of them were human; you could feel their lively energy and they stood out as tourists more than the others. They seemed comfortable here. Centuries worth of comfortable. You never noticed them before. The clerk called you up, you checked in seamlessly.
“You have a beautiful view,” She said, sliding the keycard over to you. “The most ocean any of us get around here.”
“Oh? The website didn’t advertise an ocean view,” You said, taking it back with your ID and credit card.
“That’s because calling it an ocean view is pushing it,” She laughed. “The town is surrounded by cliffs, and this is a three story building, if you squint you can catch a glimpse of it past the tree line.”
“I’ll keep an eye out then,” You smiled, finally putting your documents back in your bag. “Thank you.”
As you turned to leave the counter, you walked straight into someone. You stumbled back apologetically, almost tripping over your own bag in the process, but luckily the beautiful stranger caught you. Her cold, strong grip sent chills down your spine.
“Oh God,” You said, standing back up, face heating in embarrassment. “Sorry.”
“There’s nothing to be sorry for, dear,” Her grip lingered even after you were steady on your feet. “Glad I caught you.”
The redhead smiled at you, shamelessly roaming her eyes over your face. She was hypnotizing. Your body felt warm, lighter, almost as if you were floating just slightly above the ground. You stepped out of her grip, grounding yourself once again.
“Thank you…” You trailed off, not breaking eye contact.
“Natasha,” She replied. You smiled. Her hand came up to your face, delicate fingers brushing against your cheekbone before tucking a strand of your hair behind your ear.
“Natasha,” You repeated, bringing your hand up to hers. Despite her delicate touch, her hand was strong, unwavering. She opened her mouth to ask your name, your eyes followed her lips. Pink, delicate, soft. “Y/N.”
“I can help you with your bags,” She said, taking the opportunity to look you up and down.
“It’s okay,” You gripped the handle, biting the inside of your lip. “I’m a big girl, I can do it myself.”
She smirked, a light hum leaving her throat. “Welcome to Willowcrest,” She replied, starting to walk past you before leaning in close to your ear. Her lips met your cheek. “Y/N.”
Before she could walk away you reached out your arm, stopping her midstep. “Anywhere you'd recommend for lunch?”
Natasha smirked. Her answer wasn’t tasteful. “There’s a cute diner down the street,” She turned towards you again. “I have lunch plans, unfortunately,” Her eyes subtly drifted to the front desk clerk helping another set of guests who had just arrived, before drifting back to your neck. She thought the way you wore your hair up was indecent. It made her mouth water. “I can give you a tour around town tonight though, I’ve always thought the town looks better in the dark.”
“You live here?” You wondered, she felt confident enough in the space you sensed she was a local.
“My family owns part of the hotel,” Her eyes dipped down to your lips before moving back up to your eyes. Natasha couldn’t pinpoint why you felt so different. “We all live here.”
“I’ll take you up on that tour then, Natasha.” The two of you exchanged numbers before you finally made your way up to your room. It was by no means the most luxurious room in the hotel, but it was nice. The bathroom was a decent size, the bed looked comfortable.
You set your bags on the floor just in time for your stomach to growl. As you straightened back up, the view out the window caught your attention. The clerk was right. You could just make out the glimmer of the sun against the water of the ocean in the horizon, just barely over the tops of the conifer trees of the surrounding boreal forest. You walked over to the window, cracking it open. The fresh air was cool, it brought a new color to the stale air of the room.
When you made your way to the lobby, you spotted Natasha by the clerk that helped you. Her gaze lingered on the clerk’s collar and you wondered if the clerk was her lunch plans. You lowered your sunglasses as you stepped outside, the bright sunlight warming you down to your bones.
As you walked down the street to the diner, you felt a weird sense of belonging. This town was the closest you could call to a hometown. You had to move around pretty often, never able to stay at a place for more than a few years. Sometimes because you got bored, and others because you did something suspicious. It was almost… nice.
The bell rang as you opened the door to the diner, some heads turned your way but not many. You wouldn’t expect a diner out of all places to be filled with vampires. You sat down at a booth in the back, a waitress handed you a menu and a glass of water before going back to another customer to give you some time with the menu.
You heard it then. The sweet, angelic sound of an unforgettable laugh that made your heart stop and your body go cold. Your hands gripped the menu you were holding, your palms warming.
You took a deep breath, your stomach knotted.
It’s not her, it can’t be her. She’s dead. Surely it’s just someone else with a similar laugh.
When you put your menu down, you locked eyes with green ones. The green eyes you never thought you’d see again.
“Wanda?”

Natasha held your face against hers, her hand softly cupping your chin as you kissed her back. Her lips were soft, gentle. You felt stuck in a trance as her tongue slipped into your mouth. Your hands slid up to her waist, pulling her into you. Natasha smiled against your lips, taking the opportunity to straddle your hips.
Your heart beat loud in your chest, your hands drifting down to Natasha’s thighs. The redhead’s hand drifted down to your throat, making you moan against her lips. She trailed her lips down to your neck, her strong fingers expertly forcing your head to the side. You could feel her sharp fangs grazing along the length of your neck.
Natasha felt drunk on your scent, mouth watering the longer she spent nestled in the crook of your neck. Your hands entangled in her long red hair, pulling at the roots making her groan against your skin. You felt her hips grind against yours as you sighed in pleasure, holding her against you. Natasha wasn’t sure what took over her, she didn’t know if it was the way your nails scraped her scalp, or the way you trailed your hand down to her hip to pull her impossibly closer to you. Her fangs sank into your skin in the midst of lustful breathy moans, eliciting a surprised gasp from you, eyes previously shut in pleasure now wide open in shock.
Your shock was short-lived as Natasha’s actions suddenly caught up to her and she found the will to pull away. The redhead’s expression almost mirrored yours, her wide pitch black eyes threw you off, her previous vibrant green completely gone. She blinked, her color starting to come back as she relaxed once again.
“Fuck, I- I’m sorry,” She pushed your hair to the side to check on the damage she’d done to find the small marks on your neck has already faded to pink, almost invisible. She tilted her head before looking back at you.
“I heal fast,” You giggled, noticing a smear of your blood on the corner of her lip. You cupped her face, her breath hitching as she watched your eyes focus on the spot on her face and felt as your thumb wiped the blood from her skin. “You got something there.”
Your whole body burned as Natasha took the tip of your thumb past her lips, sucking the digit clean. Your mouth fell agape, her warm tongue swirling over your finger before she pulled back and released it with a smirk.
“I’ve never tasted blood so sweet,” She said, leaning closer, eyes lingering on where her teeth had previously been. She felt her mouth water once again, the small amount she had eliciting an intense craving she never knew she could feel. She was hooked.
“I’ve never felt anything like that before,” You answered truthfully, subtly pulling her closer. Your lips met hers once again, quickly evolving into something needier, more desperate. Natasha couldn’t get enough. Her lips once again trailed to your jaw and you could feel her hesitation in the way her body tensed atop yours.
“You don’t have to be scared,” She pulled away at your voice as your hands found her hair again. “You can have another taste.”
“Are you sure?” Natasha’s eyes sparkled, mouth watering at the thought of tasting you again. You nodded, pulling her in once again, letting her tongue explore your mouth before you leaned your head back, letting her have unrestricted access to your neck.
She kissed down the column of your neck as her hands came up to your chest. Even over your shirt, her hands found the perfect spots that sent goosebumps down your arms and a moan past your lips. She smirked against your skin, enjoying the way her name sounded from your lips. Her tongue licked a stripe down your neck back to your pulse point. Her fangs sank into your skin once again, making your nails dig into her skin and your eyes roll to the back of your head as she sucked, the pain from your neck and pleasure from her hands on your chest driving you crazy.
Natasha sucked fervently. A steady flow of your blood filling her mouth perfectly, keeping her in a trance. She could hear small moans from you, your grip on her faltering as you became light headed. She noticed your state and immediately pulled away, licking over your puncture wounds before she watched them heal over.
“Maybe that’s enough for today, don’t you think, sweetness?” She kissed your cheek as you blinked back into consciousness. You felt her thumbs brush over your nipples before she gave your tits one last squeeze. You moaned as her lips met yours again, her teeth tugging at your bottom lip.
Your hands slid down to her arms as she pulled away from you, your eyes fluttering back open as you felt yourself quickly recovering. Natasha’s thumb ran over your bottom lip. “Let’s get you back to your room.”
-
Wanda felt guilty. She shouldn't. What she had with Yelena wasn’t anything serious, it was casual at best. So why did this knot in her stomach feel so heavy? Wanda sat on the couch of the lobby, picking at her nails as Yelena read a book next to her. Her hand made its way to Wanda’s thigh, breaking her concentration on her nails. Wanda slid Yelena’s hand off her thigh just as fast as it got there before crossing her legs, catching the other woman’s attention.
“What’s this about?” The blonde asked, turning to Wanda who kept her eyes on her hands.
“Nothing,” She answered, taking a breath and finally turning to her. “I’m just not feeling it tonight.”
“You’re not feeling my hand on your thigh?” She put her book down on her other side, watching as Wanda bit the inside of her cheek in nervousness. “This wouldn’t have anything to do with the girl you walked in here hand in hand with, right?”
“You saw that?” Wanda asked, her head turning towards Yelena but refusing to make eye contact.
“Yeah, I saw it,” She answered. “Why are you so nervous about it?”
Wanda finally looked up at her. “You know we’re not serious, it’s fine.”
“I know, it’s just-” Wanda was at a loss of words. She knew they weren’t serious, but she still felt so guilty. “She means a lot to me.”
“How can she mean so much to you? Wanda, I’ve known you for almost a decade and I’ve never seen her.”
“I knew her from before,” She answered, feeling the need to defend you. “From before all this.”
“Oh, is she a vampire too?” Yelena was intrigued, it wasn’t often they ran into other vampires in this town.
“No, she’s a witch,” Wanda answered, Yelena’s demeanor changed almost instantly.
“Wanda, you have to be careful,” The blonde warned. “Witches have ulterior motives, plus the blood moon is coming up, I wouldn’t get too close.”
“Yelena, she’s my person,” Wanda wanted to have you in her arms again. “She wouldn’t hurt me.”
“That’s exactly why I’m telling you to be careful, you’re exactly the type of person she would need to get the chalice.”
Wanda was taken aback. You wouldn’t do that to her. But why else would you just show up right before the blood moon?
“Just be careful,” Yelena sighed. Wanda leaned back against the back of the couch, a concentrated furrow between her eyebrows. You seemed just as surprised to see her, but maybe you just tricked Wanda to think that. The brunette’s thoughts swirled in her head, you were the first witch she’d met. Wanda had been told they were wiped from existence a long time ago, before she even came back to town. She needed to find out why you were here.
“Are you gonna be okay for the night?” Natasha asked, her hand on your lower back guiding you down the hallway towards your door. You smiled, turning towards her once you reached your door.
“I think so,” You said, letting Natasha run her eyes over your body and pull you closer by your waist. You get lost in her green eyes for what feels like the millionth time that night, feeling all your thoughts melt away as you gazed into her eyes.
“You sure?” Natasha’s back hit the wall as your bodies pressed together, you hadn’t even realized you were leaning into her. Not that you were complaining. Natasha let your hands roam, enjoying your touch against her skin.
“Um,” You were at a loss for words again, Natasha’s presence was intense. You couldn’t remember why you wanted to be alone.
The clearing of a throat brought you out of the moment. You didn’t catch Natasha’s eye roll as you turned towards Wanda, who was awkwardly standing in the hallway. She didn’t like seeing you this close to Natasha, and after the moment the two of you had shared earlier, she felt hurt. But she couldn’t blame you, the look you sent her from the elevator playing over and over again in her mind.
“Wanda,” Her round eyes stared back at you, just as caught off guard by the scene in front of her. Your eyes fell to the floor, feeling as though you’d done something wrong. Your moment with Wanda in the woods replayed in your mind. This wasn’t like you, you were confused. Natasha looked between you and Wanda, a smug smirk on her face.
“I’ll let you be then,” Natasha leaned in, her lips pressing against your cheek and lingering there as if to show off for Wanda. You felt like you couldn’t breathe. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
You pried your eyes off the floor and sent Natasha a small smile, before turning towards your door.
“Y/N,” Wanda said, reaching forward to keep you from going into your room. “Please, can we talk?”
You considered it, your brain felt overworked. You felt like you’d had enough for one day. “I’m tired, Wanda. Unlike you, I actually need sleep.”
“Please, Y/N,” Wanda persisted, your grip on the door handle faltering. “Let me explain—”
“Explain how you kissed me then acted like you didn’t know me?” You felt mad at her all over again. You didn’t like feeling mad at Wanda, but you were hurt, and you didn’t know how else to react.
“I was caught off guard,” Wanda answered, she tugged on your hand to make you look at her again. Wanda felt seen under your gaze. “It’s been three centuries, I never thought you coming back into my life was even a possibility.”
You finally met her gaze. You saw the sincerity in her eyes, and felt terrible for what you did with Natasha. You felt like you’d had an out of body experience. You remember wanting to do everything you did, but you couldn’t regret it more now. Your hand went up to wipe against your neck, you felt dirty. Wanda’s eyes followed your hand, her enhanced vision catching the faint bite mark on your skin. She felt a pang in her chest at the site. Natasha had gotten so much more of you than Wanda wanted anyone to have within such a short amount of time.
“Do you wanna come in?” You hoped she would, you wanted the comfort of her embrace again.
Wanda sent you a shy smile, nodding her head before you pushed the door open. She followed you in, taking the room in and smiling at how you’d made it feel so homey in such a short amount of time.
“Make yourself comfortable, I’m just gonna change,” You said. You picked up a shirt and loose shorts from your duffel bag, before walking into the bathroom. With one wave of your arms over your body you cleaned up and got ready for bed. Wanda had just enough time to sit on the bed before you came out of the bathroom, clean and wearing your pajamas. She looked surprised. “What? I’m tired, I don’t wanna waste time taking a shower if I don’t have to.”
Wanda smiled, a small laugh falling from her lips. “Nothing, I just… forgot.”
You looked up at her as you took off your necklace, the old pendant making a clink as you set it down on the table.
“Is that,” Wanda started, standing up to look at the necklace closely. “Is this the necklace we stole?”
You looked down, suddenly embarrassed at your most prized possession. “Yes.”
Wanda ran her fingertips over the metal heart, remembering the day she realized she was in love with you. You’d been running around town all day, jumping between shops just because you could. The necklace had caught Wanda’s eyes but was way too expensive for her to afford. You snatched it before the store clerk kicked the two of you out and you ran to the woods. You gave Wanda the necklace, she wore it until the day she “died”.
“I can’t believe you still have it,” Wanda said, looking at you. She tucked a loose strand of your hair behind your ear, raising your chin up to look at her.
“I like feeling you close to me,” You said, leaning closer to the other woman. Wanda smiled, pulling you closer to her. Your hand cupped her face, the warmth in your chest growing as you still took her in. You couldn’t believe you had her again. Then you felt terrible all over again. “I’m sorry.”
“Me too,” Wanda said. “Can we start over?”
Your thumb ran over her cheekbone, pulling her face closer to place a lingering kiss on her cheek. “Of course.”
Wanda held you close to her, she missed you more than words could explain. You felt it too. Your head rested against her shoulder, you felt at ease. Wanda’s chest shook as she chuckled at your yawn, pulling you away from her.
“Time for bed?” She chuckled. You frowned.
“Don’t make fun,” You whined. “It’s not my fault you haven’t taken a nap in three centuries.”
“It’s not mine either, I can’t.”
“Do you want to?” You wiggled your eyebrows, making the brunette laugh. “Stay with me?”
“As long as you want me to,” She replied. You smiled and motioned for her to get into the bed before you settled next to her, laying your head on her chest. Wanda ran her fingers through your hair, making your eyelids heavier and heavier. “Can I ask you something?”
“Yeah,” You answered sleepily. “Shoot.”
“Why did you come back to Willowcrest?” She asked, holding her breath waiting for the answer. You started drawing patterns on Wanda’s stomach, where her shirt had ridden up.
“The blood moon,” You answered. You felt Wanda’s body tense, you looked up at her questioningly before turning to click the lights off. “What?”
“What about the blood moon?” Her voice was restricted, careful.
“Why do you sound so worried, Wanda?” You asked, pulling away from her. The moonlight shining through your window provided just enough light to see Wanda’s eyes on you.
“Just answer the question,” Wanda sounded almost scared, your eyebrows knitted together, you found her cold hand under the covers.
“Willowcrest is the only known place with natural blood crystals in its bedrock,” You replied, averting your eyes from Wanda’s intense gaze. “The combination of the crystals and the moon are said to amplify a nature witch’s powers. It’s the only way to communicate with the spiritual realm. I need Dorothea.”
Wanda felt you squeeze her hand, and saw a tear roll down your cheek to the pillow under your head. She pulled you closer, letting you nuzzle into her. “I need you to talk to Melina.”
“Who’s Melina again?” You asked, you remember her mentioning her at the diner.
“She’s the matriarch here,” Wanda answered, her hand rubbing up and down your back. “I think you should talk to her.”
You yawned again, your eyelid getting harder and harder to keep open. You mumbled something about it being tomorrow’s problem before you drifted into a deep sleep, for the first time in a long time being able to fall asleep safely in Wanda’s arms.
Wanda spent the night running her hand through your hair or up and down your back. She let herself drown in your atmosphere, in your scent. She missed you. She never wanted to leave you again. Her enhanced vision allowed her to see the small healed over translucent scars you’d acquired over the years. The normal person wouldn’t be able to notice any markings, but to her eyes she saw every little scratch you’d ever had. She felt a need to protect you.
Sometime during the night Wanda made a promise to herself. For so many years she berated herself for leaving you, for only ever thinking to look for you many years after a normal human would be alive. When she came back to Willowcrest, a landslide had destroyed many city records, she had no idea where you ended up. The church had surprisingly stayed intact, undamaged. Wanda swore she would stay by your side as long as you wanted her.
When the sun peeked over the horizon, Wanda smiled at the way your skin glimmered in the sunlight. It lasted just for a few minutes, she guessed it had something to do with the light being the very first rays of light of the day. It wasn’t long after that that you stirred awake, a smile immediately gracing your features when Wanda ran her hands over your hair.
You and Wanda had a pleasant morning together. She allowed you to wake up slowly as the sun rose higher into the sky. She took you to a cozy little cafe not too far from the hotel, she said they had the best breakfast sandwiches in town. You wondered how she knew. She said you spend too much time reading vampire romance novels, then explained vampires eat normal food too, blood just sustains them better. Throughout the morning Wanda was preoccupied checking her phone, getting text message alerts every time she put the device down.
“Do you have somewhere you need to be?” You asked. “I’m a big girl, I can find something to do.”
“More like somewhere you need to be,” Wanda said, as you sent her a questioning look as you took another bite of your sandwich. “Remember how I told you you should talk to Melina last night? Apparently someone told her you’re a witch and now she wants to meet you.”
You put the sandwich down, your eyebrows scrunched together as you tried to piece things together. “Why does she need to meet me so urgently?”
“I don’t know, malysh,” You fought back a smile at Wanda’s old nickname for you, letting her take your hand from across the table. “You don’t have anything to worry about.”
“I’ll go meet her,” You said, before squeezing Wanda’s hand. “As long as you’re there.”
“I’ll be there as long as you want me.”
You held onto Wanda’s hand tightly as you walked into the large hall. There were several people lounging around the space, you recognized the blonde on the couch by the bookshelves. Her gaze flew over the rim of the book straight to you as you walked slightly behind Wanda towards the large double doors at the back wall of the room.
Wanda’s hand gave yours a reassuring squeeze, making you look at her face as she looked back at you. Wanda looked so comfortable in the space and around the people who lived here. Seeing her like this made you happy, as it was a sharp contrast to the girl who used to shy away in a crowd all those years ago. You, on the other hand, could feel all the unfamiliar gazes on you. They knew you were different, it made you hold your breath as you finally reached the door.
“Wanda,” She turned to you before she could push the door open. “I’m nervous.”
Wanda smiled, cupping your face and pulling you in for a small, sweet kiss on your cheek. “You have nothing to worry about, love.”
You took a deep breath before sending Wanda a small nod, letting her push the heavy doors open. The doors opened to reveal a large room with high ceilings, the back wall had large windows overlooking the garden behind the hotel and forest beyond the garden. A large desk was placed in front of the windows, with old books and maps littered over the top. The chair faced away from you, where you assumed Melina was sitting. Large bookshelves covered the walls on either side of you, and although the room was meant to be a cozy space, you couldn’t feel colder.
“Melina,” Wanda said, prompting the older woman sitting on the chair to swivel around to face you. Her features were soft and seemed almost gentle for someone who exuded such a powerful energy. A smile appeared on her face, and you couldn’t help but feel a bit more comfortable.
“Wanda, lovely to see you,” Her voice filled the quiet room. You could identify a hint of a Russian accent as she spoke, only intriguing you even more. “This must be your old witch friend.”
“She’s an old friend, who’s a witch,” Wanda corrected, pulling you to stand next to her instead of half behind her.
“I’m Y/N,” You said. “It’s nice to meet you, Melina.”
“Welcome back to Willowcrest, Y/N,” She motioned for you to take a seat in front of her desk. As you stepped forward your eyes landed on the open book on her desk. You recognized the writing. It was witchcraft. “I believe you’ve met my daughter Natasha,” She motioned to the corner of the room where Natasha looked through the bookshelf before turning to face you. She nodded, sending you a small wink before turning back to her work. “My other daughter Yelena was out in the hall, I’m sure Wanda will introduce the two of you in due time.”
You looked up at Wanda to see her looking at her shoes, giving you the impression Yelena was the blonde from the lobby. As your eyes continued to scan the pages, you started getting a gut feeling you weren’t gonna like what Melina wanted to talk to you about.
“What can I do for you?” You asked, eyes moving from the pages to her face.
“Y/N—”
“It’s okay, Wanda,” Melina put her hand up, stopping Wanda. Natasha approached the table, handing Melina a small, older looking book. Melina flipped through the pages before finding what she was looking for and turning the book towards you. “Are you familiar with the Blood Moon Prophecy?”
“Um,” You took the book from her hands, scanning the pages. You didn’t recognize the language, however you recognized some of the emblems and symbols on the page. “I’m not, no.”
“The prophecy says that in the event of a Blood Moon the only of their kind can find a way to the Blood Chalice, which can grant those who drink from it, the power of life.” Your eyebrows scrunched, examining the page closely. Your fingers glowed purple as you ran it over the page, attempting to translate the words on the page to no avail. “The book is protected by an ancient spell, it can’t be tampered with.”
“This chalice sounds dangerous, Melina,” You said, closing the book and placing it in front of you. “Why do you need it?”
“I want to bring the love of my life back to life,” She said, looking forlornly at Natasha, who had looked back at her at her confession. “He was killed several years ago, and I haven’t felt safe enough to leave the hotel ever since.”
“I’m so sorry for your loss,” You shuffled in your seat, not feeling right about any of this. “But messing with the universe’s balance is complicated and dangerous. Besides, I’m not the only one of my kind, there are plenty of other witches out there.”
“When was the last time you saw one?” She asked, taking you by surprise. You’ve always been alone, and it had been a long time since you saw another witch but that doesn’t mean there aren’t anymore around. “A nature witch?”
You opened your mouth to answer, but truthfully, the last nature witch you met was Dorothea. “It still sounds like it should be left alone.”
“So you don’t want to save your kind?” She asked. You felt like the air froze as you looked at her wide eyed. Wanda placed her hand on your shoulder, giving you a reassuring squeeze. “You can use the chalice to create more nature witches. Your creator is the one who hid the chalice, I believe you’re the one that can find it.”
“Dorothea?” You definitely felt like this Chalice should be left alone now. “I don’t remember her using a Chalice to create me.”
“You don’t think she wiped your memory?” Melina asked, taking a drink of the dark red liquid in the wine glass. Her eyes flickered to Natasha standing behind you before flicking back to you, her dark brown eyes turning completely black at the taste of blood.
“You’re not making the case you think you are, Melina,” Wanda’s head turned towards you in disbelief. You held no loyalty to this person. You were grateful she took Wanda in and gave her a family, but that had nothing to do with you. “If Dorothea wiped the Chalice from my memory, I trust that it was for a good reason.”
“Or a selfish one,” She replied. Your jaw clenched.
“This isn’t very convincing.”
“Y/N,” Natasha said, making you turn to her. Her eyes were still surprisingly green even at such close proximity to blood. You could even smell it. “I know we want the Chalice to help bring back Alexei, but think about it, if we know where it is, we can keep it safe, you can help keep it safe.”
The more she talked, it felt like things started to get more complicated in your mind. Their side started to make sense, things became hazier. All they wanted was to bring a loved one back, a single person. That didn’t seem so bad, then you could either put it back where it was or keep it somewhere safe where you’d know where it is. Maybe Melina did have a point.
Wanda watched your exchange, knowing Natasha had a certain way of convincing people to get her way. She could almost see the wheels turning in your head. She didn’t want you to make a decision you would regret later.
“Just think about it, Y/N,” Wanda broke your gaze with Natasha, making your head turn to her. “You don’t have to make any decisions right now.”
Melina’s jaw clenched as she stared at Wanda, Natasha’s eyes also focused on the brunette. You shook your head, feeling like a fog had been cleared.
“I’ll think about it, Melina,” You turned to Melina and gave her a sympathetic smile. “I’ll let you know when I make a decision.”
Her hard expression quickly morphed into a forced smile towards you, before she nodded. “You do that then, I’ll be awaiting your decision.”
The sound of the chair scraping against the floor filled the suddenly tension filled room. You sent Natasha a quick glance before looking at Wanda behind her. You walked past the two women towards the door, Wanda starting to turn to follow your lead.
“Wanda,” Melina said, making the brunette freeze in her tracks. “Stay a second.”
“I’ll meet you outside,” You told Wanda, desperately needing a breath of fresh air. You almost broke into a sprint the second you walked past the large doors to Melina’s office. You made your way to the back of the hotel, past the garden at the edge of the woods, out of sight from the window in Melina’s office.
You took a deep breath, leaning against a tall pine tree in an attempt to calm your nerves. Now that you’d left the room, you’d noticed just how intense the energy inside felt. The sound of a stick breaking far into the woods startled you, making your head turn to the side. Sometimes you felt like nature whispered the things you needed to know right into your ear. Someone was in there.
As you walked further into the woods, you felt goosebumps emerge all over your body, there was an unknown energy present. Shivers went down your spine the more you walked, starting to see streaks of a deeper purple than you were used to on the ground, glowing in the direction you were heading.
As you approached a clearing, you could make out the shape of someone levitating a few feet from the ground in a sitting position. You watched as she performed what you could only guess to be an energy spell, sucking up the forest’s energy to balance out her own. It was a common practice among witches of your kind, but you could tell she was different. You hid behind a tree while you watched her descend, then stand up, dusting off her cloak from the now dry grass below her.
“You can come say hi, honey, I don’t bite,” She said, her back facing you. You held your breath, how did she know you were there, you were as silent as possible. “I could feel you from a mile away.”
She turned in your direction, the tree in front of you crumbling away into dust. You took a few steps closer into the clearing, the witch smiling brightly at you.
“I’m Agatha,” She said, her eyes starting to glow purple. “It’s nice to finally meet another witch.”

The world spun around you as you exited the diner. You ran into the forest surrounding the small establishment. Everything was too confusing, too overwhelming. Your ears started ringing. You felt nauseous. It’s been years, centuries, what was she doing here? Was it even her?
It can’t be.
Your mind is playing tricks on you.
It can’t be her.
Your breath came out in short puffs, no matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t breathe in enough before having to let it out. You walked past the dense trees, the tall shrubs and grass sticking to your pants and leaving small scratches on your skin.
Tears stung at your eyes the further in you went. Everywhere you looked was the same, everything blurred into one green blob. You weren’t sure where you were going anymore. You kept moving until you collapsed into a field.
In your rush to get away from the diner, you didn’t notice you were followed.
Wanda was just as shocked to see you. You felt different. She wasn’t even sure it was you at all. When you practically ran out of the small diner she had to make sure you were safe. She needed you to be okay. She followed you into the forest, keeping her distance so as to not scare you even more.
Her undead heart beat loudly in her chest, her palms felt clammy. She thought about this so many times after she left you. She thought about what she would do or say if she ever saw you again.
She expected you to look much older, to have had a beautiful family. To have found peace with the future you dreamt of having one day. She didn’t expect you to be frozen in time like her. After centuries of being apart she didn’t expect to see you look the same way she left you.
Wanda couldn’t believe her eyes.
When you collapsed into the field, Wanda paused. She could see the small scratches on your skin and didn’t want to scare you with her reaction. So she paced around the clearing to the other side, keeping her eye on you as you turned onto your back and attempted to catch your breath.
You looked at the sky, watching as gray clouds were slowly drifting into town. You slowed your breath, running your fingers over the smooth grass. You let tears fall down the side of your face into the ground. It was too much. It was all too much.
As your heartbeat returned to normal, you felt the ground almost vibrating under you. You looked down to find purple streaks of light stemming from your hands into the ground. The boulders around you sported faint but noticeable glowing purple specks.
There had to be something going on with your powers. Maybe it was the proximity of the blood moon and where you were, with your heightened emotions it only makes sense they’d be a little out of control.
You stood up slowly, making sure your head wouldn’t start spinning again. Your hand left a streak of dirt on your cheek as you wiped under your eye before you examined the rock face close up. It really did seem some of the small crystals making up the rock were reacting to your presence, the ones closest to you glowing brighter than the ones farther away.
Just as you were getting lost in your surroundings, the reason you ended up in the clearing made itself known once more.
“Y/N?” You froze. Her voice brought a fresh wave of tears to your eyes. You never thought you’d hear her call your name again. You took a deep breath before turning around to face her. Her eyes widened as you made eye contact, before her gaze fell to your glowing hands. She took a small step back. “It’s okay, I’m not gonna hurt you.”
“Oh,” You looked down at your hands, clenching them into fists before relaxing again. You wiped your palms against the sides of your pants, as if you could clean them from your own powers. It worked. “Sorry.”
The two of you were at a loss for words. You didn’t know whether to walk towards her or stay glued to your spot. You looked at Wanda. Noticed her pale skin, her full lips, her perfect posture. She still looked like Wanda. You looked into her eyes, she was staring right back at you, studying your movements.
Your breath hitched.
They were still the same. She was still the same.
You took a step forward.
“W-Wanda?” Your voice cracked. Her eyes snapped to yours. She nodded slowly. Your lower lip trembled. It took everything in Wanda to stay put, to not rush across the clearing to you. “How?”
You knew how, part of you needed her to tell you. Wanda struggled to find her words. She instead chose to show you her fangs. She could smell your unusually sweet scent from the cuts in your arms. She was worried her eyes would turn black if she came any closer. You took a step forward, she slowly started moving.
You circled each other, taking the other one in with every step you took. You never thought you’d see her again. You never thought you’d have your Wanda back. Especially after so much time.
Wanda wanted to cry. Her eyes stung with unshed tears. She watched you inch closer to her as she subconsciously mirrored your actions. You looked just as soft and warm as the day she left you in your bedroom that stormy night.
Wanda knew she wasn’t supposed to be there. Her throat burned from thirst and her hair stuck to her skin. The cold temperature didn’t bother her anymore as she stood outside your balcony, watching you twist and turn between your sheets. The candle by your bedside was dangerously close to going out, having burnt all the way down to the bottom. The dim light was no trouble for Wanda’s newly enhanced vision, she could see the smallest detail on your face from where she stood in the rain.
When the candle finally went out, Wanda had the courage to sneak in. She stood at a distance at first, not wanting to get any part of your room wet. But when your body started shaking with unconscious sobs she let herself crouch down next to you. Her cold fingertips wiped ever so slightly under your eyes, cheeks stained with your tears. Her unexpected touch startled you, your eyes shot open.
Even in the darkness, you could make out Wanda’s silhouette. “Wanda?”
“You’re gonna be okay,” She took your hand. Her cold temperature worried you. It made her death feel more real. “Listen to me, okay,” Wanda didn’t realize she was crying too. “You’re gonna be just fine.”
“No,” You cried, you held onto her for dear life. “All I want is you.”
Wanda leaned in, resting her forehead against yours. Your soft voice filled the space between you. “All I’ve ever wanted was you.”
A sob shook Wanda’s body, her hand went up to cup your face, bringing your lips closer together, your noses brushing against the other. “I’m gonna miss you.”
“No,” You cried, holding onto her wrists, trying to keep her with you. “Please don’t leave me again.”
Wanda leaned in. Your lips melted together despite how cold she was. You held her face. Your tears mixed with hers. As Wanda started pulling away, you tried holding on tighter. You were no match to her strength in your weakened state.
“I love you,” She said, giving you another quick kiss. “I have to go.”
“Wanda no,” You sobbed. With a flash of lighting she was gone. Every trace of her.
You convinced yourself you were dreaming that night. Despite the puddles of rainwater in your room or your wet sheets. It had to have been a dream. You couldn’t understand how she was standing right in front of you now. You couldn’t understand why or how she didn’t check on you again. It brought a fresh wave of hot, angry tears to the surface.
Wanda cupped your face. Her cold, delicate fingers wiped the new tears rolling down your cheeks. Her touch soothed your burning pain. “I miss you.”
“I miss you too,” She whispered between you, shedding her own tears. When you looked back up at her you could see it hurt her just the same.
“Why didn’t you come back?” You asked, your bottom lip trembling while you fought off another round of tears.
“I didn’t want to hurt you,” She said, tucking a stray piece of your hair behind your ear. “I had already caused you so much pain that one night, I didn’t want to hurt you even more because I couldn’t stay.”
You looked up at her with a small gasp. “It wasn’t a dream?”
“No,” She shook her head, resting her forehead against yours just like she did in the past. “I was there.”
One of her hands rested on your waist while the other stayed gently on your cheek. “I can’t believe you’re here.”
Wanda pulled you into a hug, her head nestled in the crook of your neck. “I thought I’d never see you again.”
The two of you laid in the clearing, watching as the sky changed while you caught up to the best of your abilities. “Where have you been this whole time?”
“Oh I’ve been moving around for a long time,” You looked at her with a silly smile on your face.
“How did we not run into each other?” You asked, she chuckled.
“It’s a big world,” She said, her hand found yours in the grass, you could feel her finger drawing patterns on your skin.
“When did you come back?” You asked, rolling onto your side so you could face her.
“A few decades ago,” She said, you raised your eyebrows.
“Decades?” You asked.
“The town is small, and if you keep to yourself no one really notices,” She said, not meeting your eyes. “There’s a big coven, it’s more like a family of vampires that live in the hotel. I met a few of them in Europe and I’ve been with them ever since.”
“Oh,” You were glad she found herself a family, but you couldn’t help the pang of jealousy you felt. You looked back up at her, your hand cupped her jaw and your thumb ran over her cheekbone. Her skin glistened in an unnatural way in the sunlight. “How did this happen? I saw you in your casket.”
“The change took a few days,” She answered. “When I was dying, the doctor was the one that changed me.”
“He bit you?” You asked.
“You’re a witch, you should know better,” She says, making you laugh. “He gave me his blood. Said it was a new medicine. I drank it. I died. I came back.”
You hummed, looking back up at the sky. The blue sky was almost completely replaced by the heavy rain clouds. “What about you?”
“Well,” You said. “After you died I went to church a lot. An ancient witch called Dorothea watched me go every day to pray for you. She felt I was powerful, she taught me.”
“Where is she now?” Wanda asked, watching as your eyes glossed over before you turned back to her.
“Witches have the ability to decide when our time on Earth is over,” You explained. “It’s thought that we come from the earth and must return to it, so when it’s time, we can decide to continue aging and return to the Earth from which we rose. Dorothea passed a couple centuries ago. She taught me everything I know.”
Wanda leaned over and kissed your cheek. Part of her still couldn’t believe you were there. “I’m sorry for your loss.”
“There’s nothing to be sorry for,” You said, running your hands over the grass, taking a deep breath. “She rests in power.”
You and Wanda enjoy the comfortable silence between you before your stomach growled once again. “Let’s go back to the diner, you need something to eat.”
“What about y-” You stopped yourself before you could finish your sentence. “Nevermind.”
It was surprisingly easy sharing a meal with Wanda. It felt like you were back in your 20s, sharing laughs and looks over dinner. You still couldn’t believe she was right there with you. It felt like a fever dream.
“Tell me more about your family,” You said, taking a bite out of your burger.
“They’re cool,” She said, leaning back into the plush cushion on the back of the seat. “There’s a lot of us, but I think the main person I should tell you about is Melina. She’s the head of the family. She’s really nice, I mean, she let me stay with them with like a week’s notice so.”
You chuckled, taking a sip of your drink. Wanda continued talking about some other key members of the family. You enjoyed seeing her face light up as she told you silly stories about her time with her family. “I’m glad you found them, I’d hate to think you were alone all those years.”
Wanda looked down, she didn’t like that she’d left you alone for so long. You frowned, taking Wanda’s hand over the table. Even though her skin felt cold, her touch brought a long forgotten warmth to your heart. She looked back up at you, squeezing your hand. You wiped your mouth with a napkin with your other hand.
Wanda’s eyes stayed on you as her thumb ran circles on the back of your palm. She motioned for the waitress to bring the check, and gave her her card before you could even rummage through your bag.
“You didn’t have to do that,” You said as the two of you slid out of the booth. Wanda intertwined her fingers with yours as she led you out of the restaurant. Your stomach fluttered with butterflies.
“I have centuries to make up for,” She said. “At least there’s one upside to having waited all those years.”
She stopped you on the sidewalk, turning to put her hands on your waist as you looked up at her smiling. “And what’s that?”
She tucked a piece of your hair behind your ear. “I can do this in plain sight.”
Wanda’s lips touched yours slowly, her grip tightened on your waist as she pulled you closer. You smiled against her lips. Wanda’s lips tasted sweet like honey. When she pulled away your eyes fluttered open. You felt like you were in a haze.
“It only took you three hundred years,” You joked. Wanda smiled, rolling her eyes.
The sun was setting as you got back to the hotel. Wanda stiffened as you walked through the doors, you tried to not feel hurt when she dropped your hand. You frowned up at her, her eyes were glued to a blonde across the lobby.
“I’ll see you later?” She asked, turning to you, her tone rushed. It felt like the bubble you were in popped.
“Um,” You were confused. “I guess.”
“I’ll find you,” She said, stopping herself from kissing you on the cheek. You noticed. It surprised you how much it hurt. You nodded, swallowing the lump in your throat.
As the doors of the elevator closed, you watched the blonde from earlier sling her arm around Wanda. The doors closed just as Wanda made eye contact with you.
You sighed as you walked down the hallway to your room, rummaging through your bag for the keycard.
“Hey stranger,” You jumped at the smooth voice, clutching your chest once you saw Natasha waiting outside your door.
“You scared me,” You laughed. “What are you doing waiting outside my room, I don’t remember giving you my room number.”
“I’m just a really good guesser,” She said matter of factly, you narrowed your eyes at her. “My family owns part of the hotel, I have my ways.”
You smirked at her, leaning against the opposite wall. “Well, can I do anything for you tonight, Natasha?”
“You can call me Nat,” She said, leaning closer to you. “You didn’t answer any of my texts so I assumed you didn’t wanna go on a tour of the town anymore.”
“Fuck, I completely forgot, I’m sorry,” You said. And she was right. You were too tired to go.
“So…” She continued, showing you the bottle of wine she was holding. “I got some wine and a killer place to see the stars on the roof.”
“It’s cloudy,” You answered with a smile on your face.
“I’m sure it’ll clear up,” She said, almost trapping you between her and the wall. You stood up off the wall, letting Natasha take hold of your hand and lead you down the hallway.
“Do you take all the girls you meet to the roof?” You asked teasingly, Natasha smirked at you when you filed into the stairwell.
“Only the pretty ones,” She teased back, you scoffed in response. Natasha pulled out a key to a door one more flight of stairs above the top floor, leading you to a rooftop patio. It was cozy, with a firepit in the middle surrounded by plush chairs and small loveseats.
You sat back onto the plush pillows laid on the loveseat, making yourself comfortable while Natasha poured the two of you some wine. You leaned your head back, noticing the sky had, in fact, already cleared up.
Natasha handed you your glass as she leaned back next to you. You settled into a comfortable silence, the two of you looking up at the stars. The redhead turned her head to look at you, noticing you seemed to be in your head.
“What’s up?” She asked, nudging your shoulder. You turned your head to look at her.
“Are you a vampire, too?” You avoided her question and watched as her eyes widened ever so slightly. Natasha was caught off guard by the question, her eyes shifted to the easy smirk on your face.
“Are you?” She relaxed against the seat once again, bringing the wine glass to her lips. You leaned forward to grab yours, watching as Natasha watched the small purple flame emerge from your fingers and set the fire pit in front of you alight. She smirked her mouth slightly agape in wonder as she watched the fire change from a purplish color to regular flames.
“I used to live here a long time ago,” You told her, wrapping your jacket tighter around your body and shifting closer to the fire. Natasha reached behind you, offering you a blanket from the back of the seat.
“I’m not gonna be much help,” You both laughed as you draped the blanket over your legs. “How old are you?”
“Twenty four,” You said, sheepishly taking a sip of your wine as Natasha rolled her eyes at your antics. “Plus three hundred-ish years.”
“You don’t look a day over 22,” Natasha said, leaning closer to you. It was your turn to roll your eyes. The redhead laughed, you couldn’t help but join her. Her laugh was light, and warm. Captivating. It drew you in.
“How old are you?” You asked, turning to face her with your feet tucked under you. “Wait let me guess.”
Your eyes glowed as you looked into her, trying to see if you could read her. You didn’t get very far until Natasha interrupted you. She stood up and leaned over you. “What did you just do?”
“I read you,” You answered. Natasha looked rattled, she felt like her privacy had been violated. As you looked into her eyes you felt a weightlessness drift into your bones, your mind went blank and all you could focus on was Natasha’s green eyes.
“Tell me what you saw,” Her voice was vulnerable, almost as if she was afraid of the answer.
“Um,” You answered, trying to put your thoughts back together. “Two twenty five,” Her eyes were so captivating even in the dim light of the night. “That’s- um- that’s how old you are.”
You couldn’t help the way your eyes drifted to her lips, feeling a magnetic pull towards her. Natasha leaned down, her delicate touch tilting your chin up towards her. Natasha leaned in, lips connecting to the corner of your mouth, slowly leaving a trail of kisses down your throat. You felt her hesitate over your pulse point.
Natasha could practically taste you. She wanted to. Your scent drove her insane, she knew you’d taste so sweet. And you were so close. She felt you release a breath, bringing her back to the moment. In due time. Right as she was going to pull away you held onto her arm, stopping her movements, you weren’t ready for her to pull away yet. You turned your head towards her.
“What are you doing to me?” You whispered, barely above your breath. So quiet you weren’t even sure you heard it. Natasha smirked when she noticed the goosebumps on your skin. You reached up to her face. She enjoyed the warmth your hand brought.
You held your breath.
She leaned forward.
Your lips touched.
