Hello!

I'm once again participating in @bokumonobigbang! This time my drawing program didn't mess up so I could actually make some proper art this time for it.

Also the art is a tad old as I finished it around the end of December/beginning of January.

If you haven't already, check out my partner Chickadee's story for the big bang, Waiting in the Wings.

It's accidentally christmas themed. Whoops.

It also works as fireflies though so it can also not be christmas themed.

I did some experimenting and I think it turned out alright! Holly's facial expression is a little weird in my personal opinion but it works for what I wanted it for.

Overall, it was a fun experience drawing this.

This one is more focused on Stephanie's past. I really liked the backstory that Chickadee came up for this drawing. It really fit to the overall vibe of a younger Stephanie performing.

Fun fact, this outfit is actually based on one of her other outfits that her character designer was considering for Stephanie. I think it looks great in my opinion.

Overall, I think this drawing fits the vibe of the past very well.

And that's my entry for this year's Bokumono Big Bang! As always, I had lots of fun, and can't wait to see what the organizers plan next year for this.

good MORNING everyone and HAPPY BOKUMONO BIG BANG DAY <3<3

omfg YALL!!! i have been working on this project for months and it has been SO hard to keep quiet about it but its FINALLY TIME !!!!

this time around it was the reverse big bang, and i had the opportunity to work with the amazing @beck-a-leck (who has already written some of my favorite fics ever so you KNOW we’re in for a treat)

since i was the one organizing the plot here, it was almost a bit daunting at first- but i eventually settled on an old sos1 idea i had come up with about….maybe 2 years ago? during a brainstorming session with @sosstash which was just a silly, sitcom-holiday special esque plot full of goofy christmasy shenanigans. i was honestly very attached to the idea but deep down i knew i would never write it, which is why i was willing to pull it out again…..even if its not exactly “in season” anymore LMFAO

and guys,,,,,,working with beck on this has been SUCH an amazing experience!! the end result is all i could’ve imagined for the story and SO much more. i literally could not ask for a better partner. this silly little story brings me so much unfathomable joy and i’m so excited to finally share it with all of you!!!!

overall i had an absolute field day getting to plan out these pieces and capture the energy i envisioned for this story, the colors are probably my favorite part!! if you’re anything like me and just love seeing your favs be absolute fucking losers while all being best friends then THIS is the fic for you 🫶🫶 absolutely nobody in this story has a functioning braincell and i love it so much

She wants to do something for him, though, so she's asked for his help in getting materials… But it's entirely possible she just wants to see him in action! And maybe to show off some of her moves as well… Sometimes we all need a reminder that our loved ones aren't incapable without us. ;) Even though it's always better when they're around.

My companion piece, written for the beautiful artwork done by the amazing @calypsotea (which can be found here, as well as in the story)! 

The moment I saw her concept I had a story in my head, springing into life almost fully formed! But to my great chagrin, we were not paired together...  at first.  

For whatever reason, her original writing partner had to leave the event and I was asked to be a pinch hitter!  (Pinch hitter?  For this?!?  Pinch me!!)  Needless to say I jumped at the chance (and totally did not squee myself silly), and despite the tireless efforts of Life and Harsh Reality to interfere, I was able to write something that I hope does her art at least some small justice. Her work allowed me to explore something I’m going through myself -- trying to overcome my fear of dogs -- and to explore Mineral Town again. Both of these things made me very happy.  

I hope our contribution brings you the same peace and joy.

It's after midnight, so it's officially Thursday and I can post this now!

It's time for the Bokumono Reverse Big Bang y'all!

Operation: Save the Magic Gen; 18k; Fritz, Annie, Raeger, Mistel, and Cast When they discover that Fritz still believes in Santa Claus, Annie and Raeger take it upon themselves to to give him a magical Christmas. Mistel overhears their plans and decides to become a Problem On Purpose. The opposing teams race towards their Christmas Eve deadline, vying to make the most magical Christmas and to stop Christmas from coming.

I had the privilege or getting paired up with @pansy-picnics this time around, working off her idea and art to create this story.

It might just be a little off season, but I'm of the opinion that a holiday story can be appreciated at any time of the year if you're in the mood for one. And I had an absolute blast writing this piece!

I write so much angst normally I don't often get to let loose and just let characters have fun and be silly. But hoo boy I got to with this one! I think it's fair to say that everybody's brain cells are all hibernating for the winter, but that's okay. They have Christmas spirit filling in for the brain cells.

We've all spent the last several months working so hard on our stories and art and I had so much fun participating in this event!
