Ramesh Praggnanandhaa and Nodirbek Abdusattorov competition to break world record
Ramesh Praggnanandhaa and Nodirbek Abdusattorov competition to break world record
Loaded with custom, the Hastings congress was held for the 92nd time this week. It has been arranged each year bar war a long time since 1920, at a noteworthy setting where 10 title holders have played. The occasion's pinnacle years are well beyond yet it has acquired another rent of life as the support of Tradewise Insurance has increased assets from its dependable precinct gathering. Hastings 2016-17, which finished on Thursday, created an extraordinary individual outcome.
Hastings has consistently been a demonstrating ground for youthful ability and this year it was Ramesh Praggnanandhaa, at 11 the most youthful ever worldwide expert, who asserted consideration. His games were included every day on the congress site, which was changed and updated from earlier years, and it made internet seeing a joy.
The Indian wonder periodically rode his karma at Hastings, yet he stayed unbeaten, recuperated emphatically to win from a questionable situation in the last round, scored 6½/9 and got done with joint second prize, simply a large portion of a point behind his comrade Deep Sengupta. It was his best exhibition at this point and showed clear grandmaster potential.
He actually has 14 months staying to break Sergey Karjakin's reality record as the most youthful ever GM at 12 years, seven months, however he has an opponent.
Nodirbek Abdusattorov, from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, beat two GMs in a competition when matured just nine. Last October, at 11 years 10 months, he scored the most youthful ever GM bring about shocking style at St Petersburg, where he totalled 7/9 including 4/6 against GMs. His casualties incorporated the Dutch GM Benjamin Bok, victor of the 2015 London Classic Open, and Brazil's No1 GM, Alexander Fier, who contended at Hastings this week.
You would anticipate that Uzbek officials should have bent over backward to put their skilled youthful player at London Olympia, Hastings or Stockholm in December, the period of his twelfth birthday, to give him the best possibilities for his necessary second and third GM standards, arrive at a 2500 rating thus dominate the race with his Indian adversary to break Karjakin's pined for record. No it. Rather he was peculiarly redirected to the world schools under-13 at Sochi, where he properly tidied up in the East European and Asian field with 8/9.
Time is expiring for the Uzbek student. His IM title, however procured, isn't at this point approved and his Fide rating of 2429 is still well shy of the GM necessity of 2500. He isn't entered for Tradewise Gibraltar, the world's best open, what begins on 17 January, and it is muddled whether he will play in the following huge occasion at Moscow Aeroflot in February.
The surprising accomplishment of the two sub-youngsters by chance features the developing significance of the world under-eight title as a seedbed for significant gifts. Abdusattorov won it in 2012 and Praggnanandhaa in 2013, following on from America's Awonder Liang who was the 2011 under-eight hero and proceeded to score his first GM standard the previous summer when scarcely 13.
Sergey Karjakin's triumph, on tie-break from Magnus Carlsen, at the world rush in Doha was helped by this fast success over the Ukrainian who had won the world quick crown. The opening, a Sicilian Defense Richter Attack, is huge since Karjakin additionally utilized it in another unequivocal game, against Fabiano Caruana in the last round of the 2016 up-and-comers. The outcome here is successfully gotten comfortable a solitary move when Ivanchuk fails with 14....c5? (f6!) after which the penance 15 Bxh6! rapidly prompts a triumphant assault.

LIFE LATELY | May 2017
Summer 2017 has got me speechless, in a good way of course. I thought it was to be another boring summer vacation: laying in bed waiting for something to happen and nothing does. I thought it was going to be the usual eat, sleep, routine but it was the complete opposite!
I. It was all about adventures!!
- Swimming with amazing people,
- Island hopping in Surigao del Sur with even more amazing people - my fam
- Another island hopping but in Samal!!
- Not to mention- a visit in Doha, Qatar!
II. It was (still is) about kdrama.
Omg you guys do not even let me start with my kdrama feels!! I’ve only started watching this summer HAHAHAHAH! I’ve never watched one ever before because I didn’t have the energy and enough interest to do so but lately, I’ve ran out of American and British series to watch soo I’ve resorted to kdramas and I loved it! So far, I’ve watched Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo and Goblin (don’t let me start fangirling, I won’t sTOP!!)
II. Realizations (art)
I’ve always been into arts ever since I was a little kid who wants nothing but crayons in her hands. I never considered myself good at it, though. I thought of myself as a frustrated artist because my classmates were always such master at it and here I am a kid who likes to color. However, lately, I was able to explore my interests and I found myself downloading a sketch app on my iPad, not knowing why and even how to use it. I grew very fond of it in the next few minutes and in the next few hours I was able to see this masterpiece (at least for me who had no idea how to do digital art):
The photo above is my very first attempt in digital art and I am so proud of it and the fact that I finished it in less than 24 hours.
This one is also a self-portrait which is now my avatar.
I’m still not that good at it, though. It will take a lot more patience and perseverance to practice to get the results that I want.

The best Dim sum brunch in Doha is at home: homemade lo mai gai (chicken and glutinous rice wrapped in lotus leaves), stir-fried bok choy, steamed har gow (prawn dumplings) and siew mai (chicken and prawn) from Carrefour, marinated cucumbers (sesame, soy, rice vinegar, sugar), and unlimited jasmine green tea! 😋 (at Doha, Qatar)
