Wonderful news for those who enjoyed Top End Wedding... Lauren and Ned will be back in a sequel! Not a film, but an 8-part TV show, called Top End Bub, which will be released on Prime Video in Australia and New Zealand but also internationally by German studios ZDF. Production will begin in May. Now, for the plot...

Top End Bub will revisit Lauren (Tapsell), a dynamic Indigenous lawyer ticking off life goals in Adelaide, and her baker husband Ned (Lee), who abandon city life for the Top End (where the outback meets the tropics) to raise Lauren’s recently-orphaned eight-year-old niece. While Lauren and Ned juggle the responsibility of becoming unexpected parents and try to keep their marriage together, Lauren must come to terms with her responsibilities within her culture, as she transforms from an individualist to the linchpin of her family, the synopsis reads.

“We all love a happy ending, but what happens after happily ever after?” said Tapsell. Tyler said the show would include “a romantic setting full of funny characters who face heartbreaking challenges in heartwarming ways.”

"Bohemian rhapsody" - Queen

1975 Written by Freddie Mercury

Part of Let's Do It, the fifty greatest singles from 1954-76.

Known by millions. Loved by millions. Constantly voted the Greatest Single of All Time by the public. And it took the writer's death to make it vaguely cool.

"Bo rhap" has something for everybody. There's a choral section. And a wig-out axe solo. There's light opera, headbanging rock, and the ending is simultaneously bleak and optimistic. Basically, it's Queen in a nutshell: if you listen to all six minutes of this epic, you'll have heard Queen in all their moods. And you'll have heard a full six minutes of music, there isn't a single second wasted on this track. If you don't like this bit, stick around, something more to your taste is coming up next.

And there is the music video. Because they were a very busy band, Queen couldn't stop off in the Top of the Pops studio every week. Rather than trust Flick Colby's literal choreography, or the TOTP Outside Film Unit, the band thought they'd make a short film of their own. Lots of special effects, lots of whooshing around, and not actually much budget.

"Bohemian rhapsody" has cultural baggage, accreted through half a century of ubiquity, and over three decades as the tribute to the AIDS crisis's most prominent loss. It's a song one either loves or hates: in a mirror world where Norra is asking for our least favourite records (#Let5NotD0It), "Bo rhap" is up in the top 50.

For me, ubiquity is the song's strength - it's familiar and comforting; and its weakness - I could spend these six minutes listening to two new songs.
