Hi Ash! Will there be a new chapter of bleeding in the moonlight soon? 😍
I hope so, Anon! Things have been kind of chaotic over here, which often doesn't bode well for my writing. But I do have the opening to the next chapter written, I just need to keep working on it.
A couple lines to tide you over:
Anaya's first coherent thought upon waking was that someone was breathing, warm and damp, against the back of her neck. Her second was that she was nearly hanging off the side of the bed, precariously balanced, pushed to the edge by a weight behind her.
"Eden?" She mumbled.
The nose that touched her nape did not feel right. It was damp, and cold.
And enormous.
A low, canine rumble felt like an earthquake moving from one body to another. A wolf's deep growl, right against her ear.
Consciousness came back all at once, and with it sheer mindless panic.
Anaya's eyes flew open.
She inhaled sharply and sat up in one fluid movement, twisting to look behind her.

Warnings- slight mentions of death, slight gore (nothing too graphic)
A/N- helloooo to whoever's reading this fic, im really sorry this chapter is really long. It was either going to be too short or this, so I chose the latter. And now you FINALLY know the whole backstory (not the proper reason ofc but still). Also, let me know if you'd like to be added or removed from the taglist!
Taglist- @pansexualwitchwhoneedstherapy @sirisuorionblack @nadeleine123n
Ch-19 ~Memories buried away~
A serious of loud noises of metal could. Grappling hooks, Anaya noticed them through all most all part of the railings.
A howl went up from somewhere, similar to the baying of a wolf. Men swarmed over the rail onto the whaler’s deck, pistols strapped to their chests, cutlasses in their hands, yowling and barking like a pack of wild dogs. The Darkling turned around in confusion and rage on his face. “What the hell is going on?” Anaya heard Mal say as he stepped infront of Alina “I don’t know,” the girl replied. “Something very good or something very, very bad.” Pistol shots rang out and the deck suddenly erupted in fighting. The air began to glow Inferni fire. “To me, hounds!” Sturmhond shouted from somewhere. Anaya saw him with a sabre in his hands.
Barking, yipping, snarling men were descending on the Darkling’s Grisha from all sides. Sturmhond's men. The mad boy was turning against the Darkling.
He was either too clever for anyone else, or the biggest fool to ever live. “Look!” Mal shouted.
Down in the water, the men in the remaining longboat had the struggling sea whip in tow. They had raised a sail, and a brisk wind was driving them, not toward the whaler but directly toward the schooner instead. The stiff breeze that carried them seemed to come from nowhere.  A crewman was standing in the longboat, arms raised. Sturmhond had a Squaller working for him.
Anaya turned to see Tolya rushing away with Alina in his arms like a sack of flour. Tamar rushed to Mal and sliced his bonds. She had to find her own way out of this ship.
As she rushed in their opposite direction, she heard Alina called out "Wait, we have to get Anaya!" she heard the girl scream. But she chose to ignore her, she needed to find someone first.
She knew Genya wouldn't agree to leave the Darkling's side, she wasn't presented with much of a choice. But she knew one person who might listen to her, the one who had always been there for her.
She rushed to see Rabeah struggling to flee from one of the men's grasp. She summoned a tide and sent it directly towards them. Rabeah stumbled and fell behind on her back. Anaya rushed to her side and helped her to her feet. "Come on" she said to the girl
Anaya grabbed her hand and ran for the edge of the ship. One of the armed sailors raised his pistols at them, but before either of them could react, Sturmhond shouted from behind "Lower the weapon" he said to the sailor.
Without giving him much thought, they continued to run but stopped abruptly when the Darkling came towards their way, his face brimming with rage
"How dare you go against me, Anaya!" He screamed. "This will not bode well for you!"
"Oh how more could you possibly hurt me?" She spoke, her eyes flushed with rage
"Do you really wish to see?" Before Anaya could react, he sent one of his monsters of darkness towards Rabeah, making her go thrashing down to the floor. Sturmhond attempted to slash it with his sword, but it seemed to regain its form too quick.
Anaya sent a gust of mist toward it with great force, making it disappear for a brief moment and reappear. Before she could raise her arms again, the Darkling sent ribbons of darkness her way, making her back crash with the railing.
She attempted to rise again but he rushed towards her and grabbed her by the neck. "You really think you can defeat me!? I have power beyond your imagination. You were nothing! I made you into who you are!" He yelled, his arm choking her.
He then released his grasp with a jerk and released numerous ribbons of darkness towards her that lifted her off her feet and hurled her towards the water. The last thing she saw before meeting with the cold waves, were the muddy green eyes of Sturmhond as he grabbed the railing.
.................................................................................
Anaya's breath began to slip away as she sank deeper into the water. Perhaps this was her fate after all, this is where her place was. In the depths of water, again. Her eyes began to close and the brushing of the waves drifted her back to the memories long gone.
"I can't wait to go back home and tell everyone about the crop fields we saw back at Novyi Zem, and make Zoya even more jealous than she already is" Anaya spoke with great enthusiasm. The distressed looks of both Arthur and Virena suddenly changed to a joyful one
"You can just tell her without thinking of making the girl jealous, Anaya" Virena spoke as she finished the last of her rye
"Alright" The girl responded in an annoyed tone
"When will we reach Os Alta?"
"It could take around, three more days" Arthur responded, taking a bite of his meal
"Don't you love the sea, dear?"
"I do, it's very quiet here. I feel like I could hear the whispers of the waves, as if they're calling to me, but I also wish to go back home"
"Alright alright, that's very poetic, you should write it in your diary" Arthur smiled
"Actually, I should" She responded, leaving the table in a hurry
"Finish your meal first!" Virena called out, but the girl was long gone
.....................................................................................
The girl was woken from her sleep by the sudden loud noise. She quickly put on her coat and rushed outside her chambers. She rushed to the other side of the ship, where she'd last seen her parents. That was when she noticed the black smoke coming from a side of the port. Her steps slowed down as she moved closer to the direction of the smoke. She saw a mast of the ship fallen onto the floor an it had been caught on flames.
Her eyes widened at the sight infront of her. But before she could react, another loud thud echoed onto the ship. The floor now began to shake violently. The girl started running, in attempts of finding her parents. Her sight was blinded by a massive light gleaming from the front. There was another ship, once she hadn't seen for the rest of the journey. She was attempting to shield her eyes from the light when her hand was suddenly grabbed by someone.
She turned around in a haste to see her father in a dishveled state. "Come on!" he dragged her along to another part of the ship, "We must find your mother"
Was she not with him? Anaya wondered in terror as another loud thud was heard
The reached the room she'd last seen them both in. The entire frame of the room had collapsed. Her father shuddered as they came to a sudden stop. "Stay here" he said without looking at her and rushed inside.
He began lifting the bits of wood with trembling breaths. Despite his words, Anaya rushed in to help him.
Her father suddenly came to a halt. She finally saw her mother lying, blood gushing out from a side of her stomach. Arthur rushed to her and helped her to her feet. She gave a yelp before finally managing to stand up. He put her arm over his shoulder and hurried outside, "Come on, we need to find the crew" he said
The wandered around the port and starboard but there were no sights of any of the crew members, as if they'd just vanished. "We can still get on of the long boats" Arthur spoke
"And how will you get me there!?" Virena reasoned. "Just take Anaya, and leave. We cannot let them get their hands on the map"
As they continued to argue, Anaya moved closely to a side of the railing. That was when she saw it, a massive cyclone inching closer towards the ship. "Look!" she screamed, catching both her parents' attention
Arthur rushed to the railing with Virena, horror spread over their features at the sight.
"Help your mother and step back" he commanded. Anaya obliged and stepped back with her mother.
Arthur summoned a massive flame and sent it towards the now rising cyclone. He used all of his force on the flame, but its volume was too less to have any effect on it. He attempted several times before finally realizing he could not do it.
He threw his hands in exasperation but turned to look at Anaya. He went on one knee, to match the girl's height, and took her hand in his. "Anaya, listen to me very carefully. I don't have the ability to stop this, only you do. You have to stop it Anaya." "I don't believe I can" the girl responded, hesitantly
"Yes you can love, you have trained so much. We believe you can. There's no other option we can think of anymore or we wouldn't have put you in this situation" Virena added
Anaya stepped forward, and slowly raised her arms, a wave of adrenaline rushing to her veins. She focused all her strength and began to move the massive wave of water back. She slowly moved one hand behind and added more force to it. Her veins began to feel as if they were going to burst out but she could not stop, she wouldn't. Her scream echoed as she slowly sent the tide backwards.
But, another sudden tide appeared from seemingly nowhere, with much greater force than before. The girl attempted to send it back, her arms hurting more than ever, her breath trembling. Another wave appeared from a sudden and sent her thrashing back.
A dark red was flowing along with the sea water, blood, the girl realized. She jolted awake, finally getting to breathe. Water, everywhere, nothing more could be seen. The girl's breath began to grow rapid as she looked around for her parents. That was when she discovered the source of the blood.
Her mother, she wasn't breathing, her body drenched red. She then looked around and found her father, in a similar state. The girl couldn't hold on any longer. Her cries echoed in the waters.
Tears streaming down from cheeks and her hands covered in their blood. Then she heard her father speak in a trembling voice. She forced her sobs to slow down and moved closer to him to make sense of his words.
"The- the map" he managed, his voice shaking. "Do not, trust him" he was no longer breathing.
......................................................................................
She was back home, back at her parents' chambers.
She turned to her right, to look at the mirror infront of the vanity. She was no longer a child, she was no longer twelve.
"You need to go back" she heard her mother's voice from behind
"I cannot, I failed once, and now I have failed again"
"It wasn't your fault dear" her father added, placing his hand on hers
"I will be of no help to them. I have done the wrong thing" she spoke, tears forming in her deep brown eyes
"Then go, and make it right" Virena placed her hand on a side of her face. "You have the power to, you are stronger than you once were" "We believe in you" they both spoke in unison
Anaya's eyes suddenly opened as she sank deep in the waters. This was not her fate, this is not where her place was, not in the waters.

de luctus || anaya & bode
@anayadolmen
[It’d be an understatement to say that the heaviness of the mood in the Colony today can be felt in every single corner of the place. Or maybe it’s just that Anaya feels so uneasy that the sentiment follows her like an insistent cloud above her head. The announcement about Kaiser’s death feels like something more ominous than it should be, her PDD feeling heavier than usual. If before, these walls have felt constricting, today they feel suffocating. Mourning fogs up the space of the cafeteria, and one doesn’t need to have empatheia to feel it in the air. She’s pretty sure not everyone is mourning Kaiser directly – his death just seems to feel like something else, something that’s brewing.
Her only impactful encounter with the man had been when she’d gotten kidnapped by him in the last instalment of the Games, which hadn’t exactly been a pleasant time. Guilt is no stranger to Anaya, and she feels it today, for not grieving. Maybe some other time she’ll feel the impact of his death for what it really is, maybe one day she’ll understand the turmoil that runs in everyone’s veins since the announcement first lit up on their screens. But for now, she does what she always does best, and sneaks out in an attempt to isolate herself, away from all the discomfort. It’s easier to go look at the greenhouse project, kick around rocks and inspect details of the construction for the hundredth time, than to sit inside and listen to all the worried murmurs and whispers going around.
Not expecting company, she startles as she turns around to see someone. With a handful of debris and dirt in her hand, it’s not like she’s doing anything wrong, but she still feels like she’s been caught red-handed. She has skipped lunch time, to be fair, but that should hardly be an offence, she’ll get snacks later.] Oh, shit. Hi. [The curse comes out before she has the chance to bite her tongue, and she clears her throat, embarrassed for it.] Sorry, I thought everyone was at lunch. I’m just cleaning up here before the afternoon shift. I’m– I already ate.
Tumblr media
[Grief was an ugly thing, an animal that burrowed under your bones and hibernated for years. Every now and then it would poke its head out, sometimes it was quiet, sometimes it roared in your ear until there was nothing but pain. An oil spill coating you and the life around you. Bode wasn’t a stranger to grief, in fact he’s been consumed by it for as long as he can remember. Instead Bode became a stranger to everyone else.
Kaiser’s death was unexpected but Bode didn’t know the man, nor did he want to. He’d heard him more than ever saw him, the effect he had on the infected. He was boisterous, the type of man that sucked in all the atoms in the room and threw them out like daggers.
Bode knew well enough that men like that don’t live long.
It’s the implication of his death that has Bode on edge. He knew first hand what grief could do to a single person, imagine that pain amplified by hundreds. A match dropped on oil, an ocean on fire. It wasn’t an image Bode was particularly fond of.
Maybe it was his overactive imagination or maybe it was the anticipation of the world going to hell a second time but Bode had a headache slowly growing into a migraine. He knew he should head to the dining hall where Espen was likely waiting for him but he couldn’t focus, much less force himself to eat. Instead he makes a detour to the Greenhouse, an area he’d purposely avoided for the longest time. He didn’t like the way the green reminded him of his mother’s hothouse. That damn fucking hothouse.
Tumblr media
He’d hoped to sift through his thoughts in silence and solitude but he should know better by now. This island was crawling with people, the proof stood before him, tongue-tied and red cheeked.]
Stop. [He let’s out a shaky laugh, whether in disbelief or pain is uncertain.] I don’t care why you’re here. [It comes out harsher than he means it to be but at this point he’s too frustrated to care.]
Pretend I’m not here.

CALCARD CHECK: WEEKLY CHORE ROTATION
Daily chores are allocated at the beginning of each week and infected survivors are then responsible for those duties for the duration of seven days. Citizens are to scan their PDDs under the Calcards in their house common rooms every Monday morning to receive their new rotation. Rotations are randomized, but citizens will cycle through all 6 in a random order, before starting over; the only way someone might get the same chore two weeks in a row, is if they happen to be appointed the same chore in week 6 of one cycle, and week 1 of the next.
PDD reads: {Good morning citizens, thank you for logging in. As you know, Colony 22 operates on a system of equal opportunity and contribution. As such, your assigned chore for this week is: [ ROTATION HERE ]. This is week 2 of 6 in this cycle.}

NON-LIVEPLAY GAMES, MARCH 2163 - ‘Double Trouble’
OBJECTIVE: “DOUBLE TROUBLE” is a LAST TWO STANDING, ‘Hunger Games’ style game and will commence at sunrise. Survivors will begin the game as every individual for themselves, at the edge of the gaming grounds. When the starting horn sounds, survivors may choose to take a chance at The Hoard for weapons and resources, or head straight for the woods. Forming alliances is recommended, but remember, alliances are temporary and can change.
TEAMS: None. 1 vs. All, Personal Alliances only.
WEAPONS: This game will include ALL COLONY-APPROVED TRAINING WEAPONRY. Players begin the game without arms, but may obtain them at The Hoard or at hidden caches around the gaming grounds.
*HIT LIMIT: 1   *KILL LIMIT: 1
KILL PROTOCOL: SURRENDER; Participants who reach Kill Limit are immediately eliminated and must report back to the games staging area.
ADDITIONAL RULES AND INFO:
⚒The game will commence in a clearing at the edge of the gaming grounds, with the treeline ahead (NE). In the clearing, to the SE, will be The Hoard, a large resource and weapon supply. At the start of play, participants may choose to run for it first, or bypass it and head to safety.
⚒Personal alliances may consist of 2 to 5 participants from any house. They must never exceed 5 players. Alliances are based on an honour system; there are no official rules against targeting an ally.
⚒’Sponsor Kits’ can be found hidden throughout the grounds. If an individual receives a hit but has a Sponsor Kit, they may use it to remain in the game. Sponsor Kits are metal cylinders about ten inches long and 3 inches in diameter, and contain a cloth bandage which can be tied at or around the point of the recent hit. Sponsor Kits are one time use only; when the seal is broken, a vial of dye will shatter and soak into the white bandage to indicate its use.
⚒The winning pair may be from the same house, or different houses. Throughout the game, an individual’s achieved kills earn points towards their respective houses, and the winners will get to keep these for their house, plus an extra 250 points.  In the case of winners from two different houses, both houses will receive their respective earned house points, plus 250 for the win.
⚒All PDD messaging capabilities have been disabled for the Games. They function only to receive notifications.
CHECK BELOW THE CUT FOR GAME RESULTS AND HIGHLIGHT SUMMARY!
                                “Bloodbath” - the First Hour
When the horn blares, about half the games participants head straight for the cover of the trees, while the others book it to The Hoard: the huge weapons stash in the clearing. Charlie Essex and JR are among this group. JR gets there first, quickly holstering two handguns, and is about to go for some grenades, when Charlie waves at him with a supply backpack in hand and they both run off. It’s not until they get deeper into the gaming grounds that they realize Charlie’s ‘bag of supplies’ is woefully empty.
Back at the weapon stash, it’s still pandemonium. Draco Pavlović gives Mei Zhu Fitrei a bloody nose in a scuffle over a sniper gun. Alexander Donovan finds Annie Perrault hyperventilating behind a weapons rack, white knuckling a bow. He shoves a quiver into her hands and tells her to run, watching her back as she nervously complies. Meanwhile, Felix Turner and Rosalind Stein nearly collide going for the same bag of supplies. Rose is confident she can easily overpower Felix, until he starts literally shrieking like a maniacal banshee. His wordless wail makes for such an alarming scene, that she opts just to retreat.
Underdogs, Constantin Lupei and Adrien Bennett decide they’ll start off the hour strong, and team up to ambush the next pair of people they see… which turn out to be Mei Zhu and Alex. This backfires dramatically, and Costin and Ajay are among the first half dozen players eliminated. Angel Thorne follows suit when he decides to simply walk off the gaming grounds. He is immediately disqualified.
                                      “All for One…” - Hour 2
Hour two is the time to start forming alliances. Lake Valentine is travelling with Lissy McCall and Annie Perrault, but he dooms them all when he accidentally sets off an InertiaShell. They are all caught in the red vapour and slowed to a crawl. Annie passes out from the effects of the grenade and her usual exhaustion and while trying to wake her, Lissy and Lake become very easy targets when they get attacked by Caelan Whitmer and Arvo Covey. Annie, Lissy and Lake are all eliminated.
Roy Walters hasn’t come across anyone he trusts to team up with, so resolves to lay low. He manages to steal a Sponsor Kit from Mitch Douglas when the elite isn’t looking, and then camouflages himself into some bushes. Meanwhile, Petra Starr convinces a handgun wielding Teilo Aisling not to shoot her, only to shoot him with his own weapon as soon as he agrees to the alliance. Orson Hurst, Maisie Pace, Mason Quinley and Mira Sigar come together to form an only slightly more promising lineup.
Rosalind is fashioning an illegal slingshot up in a tree when she spots wifey Josephine Parker and quickly pairs up with her. As for Charlie and JR, despite their slightly disappointing start, they’ve stuck together and take out Emmanuel Trent as their first victim.
                                          “Acclimating” - Hour 3
Bode Lindqvist has kept to himself but has proven resourceful. He is well armed and has already found a couple of Sponsor Kits. When Koda Payne and Clayton Boyd attack him with ranged weapons, he manages to evade them and escape unscathed. Orson is much less lucky, when he is briefly separated from his group and finds a stash of grenades that apparently Dylan Meir had also had her eye on. Orson grabs a couple tilt grenades, but his nerve-damaged hands spasm, and he drops one, setting it off. With Orson briefly incapacitated by the blue vapour, Dylan has plenty of time to shoot him with an arrow, grab the rest of the grenades, and take off. Nearby, another woman is kicking some nerd-boy ass; Charlotte Williams effortlessly picks off Kip, acquiring his Sponsor Kits.
Koda and Clay try again to make an impact: they sneak up on JR and Charlie in the woods, only this time, they’ve thought it through and have set up traps in the area. They even manage to take out JR with a well-aimed arrow. Charlie then chases both Koda and Clay, firing his handgun as he goes. He eliminates Koda with a stim in the back, then lets off a wayward shot just as he bulldozes into one of the traps and falls to the ground. The weapon skids across the forest floor, but the last shot has caught Clay in the shoulder. Fortunately, the Delma has a Sponsor kit, which he uses to survive. He doesn’t have to go it on his own too long, however, as he runs into Corbin Ealy, who’s trying to evade a prowling Kaiser Bahr. They hide together (because fuck that noise), then decide to team up.
Left alone after Kip’s elimination, Arvo stumbles across Enoch Lynch, while he is caught in hand to hand combat with Paxton Semenyuk, and steps in to help. She and Enoch form a new alliance (which we’d like to coin ‘NET’: Newbie Elite Transfers). Alois Van Asch, on the other hand, is a bit slow on the uptake, and has been wandering the grounds somewhat aimlessly, enjoying the (mostly) quiet of the woods. At one point he is spotted just gazing at the sky.
                             “Imprudent Behaviour” - Hour 4
Fate, never a kind mistress, soon interferes with Bode’s chances. While he is distracted by an unfortunate issue with his hearing aids, Jo and Rosalind steal the weapons he’d set down and make a break for it. As they run, however, they encounter Dante Carrington; true to form, the Good Doctor puts rules first and disqualifies Rosalind for the illegal slingshot in her grasp. This is witnessed by Corbin and Clay, who were drawn in by the kerfuffle. Corbin reckons it would be hilarious to orchestrate an ambush against Colony 22’s biggest Tight Ass, and with Bode still nearby, it’d be like ‘taking biscuits from a baby’. Fortunately, it doesn’t take much convincing, and the three of them take Dante out without any issue.
Meanwhile, Draco climbs high up into the branches of a tree, seeking a moment to formulate a plan. Aurelia Ferris chooses this particularly inopportune time to walk by, and she doesn’t even see who shot her. Diederick D’Mornay,  the perpetual gentleman, spots Anaya Dolman with a Sponsor Kit and doesn’t have any trouble liberating it from her. Emboldened by his success, he gives chase to a couple of other totally threatening Calysets: Mira and Maisie. In his hasty pursuit, he loses his footing and face-plants on the forest floor.
Unlike Ricky, Petra Starr has a little moral fortitude. Alois has grown excruciatingly bored of the Games and asks Petra, (who has now paired up with housemate, Dylan) to just shoot him so he can go the fuck back inside and sleep; obviously this wouldn’t be the same as earning an elimination and would basically be cheating, so Petra declines.
After his temporary alliance with Clay and Corbin, Bode decides to roam alone again, which backfires when Madison Vega eliminates him quickly with a sniper. Persephone Evans and her bleeding heart take a moment to tend to a small injury Cambie Andrews has sustained, but they have to run when they spot Clove Modius and Benji Imes approaching.
                                        “Homestretch” - Hour 5
It’s the final countdown and about halfway through the fifth hour, we’re left with eight tiring finalists. Of these eight, seven of them are in two different alliances. The first such alliance is made up of Torren ladies, Ada Woollacott, Petra Starr, Dylan Meir and Charlotte Williams. The second is a group of egomaniac loudmouths: Corbin Ealy, Draco Pavlović and Diederick D’Mornay. Madison Vega is the eighth finalist, currently remaining a one-woman operation.
Catching a glimpse of Charlotte through the trees, Draco splits off from his group to chase after her, ignoring the protests from his allies. He proves himself rather too big for his boots when he catches up with Charlotte to find her not alone at all, and the team of girls take him out, Charlotte’s Angels style. Nearby and hearing the shouts, Maddie is so caught up watching her back that she steps right into a snare set hours before by Roy. With no one to come to her rescue, it’s endgame for her, too.
But time is running out, so the Charlie’s Angels gang decide to pair off to cover more ground. Petra finds Ricky vulnerable while he does a damage check from his earlier painful fall, and gets him in the back with a stim, while Charlotte manages to catch Corbin similarly unaware. Just like that, the prideful Delmas are out of the running.  But while Charlotte and Petra were away steamrolling the Delma boys, Ada had immediately turned traitor, submitting Dylan with a pair of chameleons around her neck.
So naturally, when what’s left of Ada’s allies return, Ada is on the offensive. There can only be two winners, and Ada wants to make sure she’s one of them. Unfortunately for her, feral strength won’t be enough this time; she launches herself at Petra and Charlotte but is overpowered by their exceptional teamwork and clear heads. Moments later, the victory horn sounds: Charlotte and Petra have officially become an unlikely pair of winners. Between Charlotte’s congenital heart defect and Petra’s only recently recovered ankle injury, it is a victory hard-earned and well-deserved.
WINNERS CHARLOTTE WILLIAMS & PETRA STARR

POINTS AWARDED 725 pts to TORREN HOUSE

*Please note that though we included a small handful of NPCs in the games generator, we did not include them all, so there would obviously be plenty of other participants whose eliminations are not established in this list. It can be assumed that many of these would have fallen in the first hour or two, though of course not all. If you need any NPCs for any further plotting or head canons for the games, you may reference any listed open characters/NPCs from the dorms list who fit your idea, or you may use a nameless NPC. If you are unsure, do not be afraid to reach out!

PDD reads: {Good morning citizens, thank you for logging in. As you know, Colony 22 operates on a system of equal opportunity and contribution. As such, your assigned chore for this week is: [ ROTATION HERE ]. This is week 1 of 6 in this cycle.}
