I have been drawing and/or painting every morning. After a couple of days of making small, not very interesting, somewhat unintelligible, pencil sketches in the morning, the results have quickly grown to acrylic sketches like these. Here I am in New Jersey, painting right into this fabulous journal that I got at a secondhand bookshop in New Orleans! It's 8x10, my favorite size! I don't think I've ever drawn a big cloud swept sky like that ....I was at the park across from where I'm staying - without my sketchbook (note to self: no more of that!) - the sky was beautiful after a very hard rain. I just memorized the great swathes of clouds and went back to the house to do a quick sketch in this journal.
